Only our Father Frost has a granddaughter, Snegurochka, and she was born in Russia. Snow Maiden is literary character. Soon after the hero Father Frost appeared in the lives of Russians, in 1873 he got a young assistant, at first positioned as a daughter - Snegurochka. This happened thanks to the play “The Snow Maiden” by Alexander Ostrovsky, which he created based on folk tale about a girl sculpted from snow and melted by warm sun rays.
