As the founder of my own brand in the past, this is infinitely pleasant to me: in the past, brides also welcomed the “French brand” or “ Italian brand”, as now “Russian designer”. At the same time and in Western countries the attitude towards our designers has changed in better side: often for fashion shoots they specifically look for outfits and accessories for brides Russian brands. Of course, this does not mean that absolutely everything made in Russia has the highest quality mark. But today on the market wedding fashion There are our designers of a colossal level and brands that are not inferior to top Western competitors. Especially for MC, I spoke with leading Russian designers, whose names are already recognized on international level, and asked them to talk about what they have to deal with when building a business in Russia and, of course, about the main world fashion trends of the season.

“Milamira” are dresses that we create for a romantic bride who is not afraid to show her femininity, but also has a serious inner strength and strong character. The ballerina's performance, which becomes the embodiment of refined grace and airy tenderness, is in fact impossible without many hours of exhausting work and true strength - spirit and body. It is this combination of lightness and firmness that we try to convey through our creativity.

We believe in timeless classics, which in our understanding is a feminine silhouette, an emphasis on the waist, and, without a doubt, lace. But we are happy to complement classic solutions modern details: unusual materials(for example, neoprene or leather), technological solutions in decoration (for example, laser cutting and computer embroidery).
Milamira became one of the first domestic brands to successfully enter the European and North American markets. Of course, at the start we played on the weakening of the ruble and were able to offer foreign brides a very attractive combination affordable price and high quality workmanship. Also, it seems to us, Russian designers showed the Western market a new look at femininity, an unusual, fresh design. We often hear from our foreign brides the words: “I have never seen such dresses before!”, which means that we really manage to surprise the world with wedding fashion coming from Russia.

Perhaps the main thing competitive advantage our designers is that for many this is not always a 100% commercial story. This is their creativity, what they live for, which is why our designers have so much enthusiasm and desire to work. Hence there are so many unique designs, interesting ideas, not stolen from Western colleagues.

The use of the highest quality materials is very important to us, so we order silk, delicate Chantilly lace, embroidered lace and tulle only from France and Italy from couture fabric manufacturers. Much attention We pay attention to elegant hand embroidery, which is performed by our St. Petersburg craftswomen, using the highest quality materials: Japanese beads and Austrian rhinestones. And if we talk about trends, then we can probably distinguish two directions: experiments with color palettes and experiments with decor. Modern brides are very bold when choosing the color of a dress - for example, last season the top included all shades of gray: from pearly light gray to a dark gray shade of a stormy sky. In addition to these colors, our palette contains golden, powdery, peach, pinkish, blue shades, which emphasize the tenderness and beauty of the bride on this important day. If we talk about experiments with decor, here we use the most different techniques embroidery, we try new materials, and sometimes voluminous fabric flowers “grow” on our dresses, dresses are decorated with feathers and other exotic details.

Forming a sense of style for our brides is a very important task, in our opinion. new wave Russian designers. If we take competition with Western brands, yes, it’s difficult. They have a sewing infrastructure that has been created for years, a system of seasonal shows, a sales system and interaction with buyers. For now, we have to figure things out by trial and error. We ourselves look for suppliers of fabrics, look for talented seamstresses and embroiderers in all cities of Russia - in a word, we are building our design world bit by bit.

White Chicks can be briefly described as follows: “ A New Look to the classics." We are sensitive to traditions, but we believe it is necessary to include modern and fashionable elements in the collection. We follow trends, but remain true to our style. Brides change, and our dresses change with them. Our bride will be able to choose from us a classic, romantic princess dress, and at the same time we can invite her to put together her own look thanks to the latest trend in the wedding industry, thanks to the so-called weddingseparates - these are separate tops and skirts that can be combined as you wish. We help and guide brides and advise models. Sometimes even the groom asks for advice so that his image is chosen correctly. We believe that a wedding begins with the bride's wedding dress, the entire wedding should be built around them. A romantic bride means a romantic dress and so on. The bride should be herself on her wedding day, be irresistible and feel confident all day long.

Over the past 10-15 years, the fashion industry, including the wedding industry, has begun to take shape in our country. And that's great. We have accumulated knowledge and experience, and are now quite capable of competing with Western designers. Now in Russia there are a lot of interesting brands in the wedding industry, they are distinguished by both style and approach to the formation of a collection. Western buyers are showing interest in us, and this is good news. We offer a different product, different in style, spirit, and often we have a more attractive price, which does not affect the quality. But our brands often offer couture and demi-couture.

We design and create custom-made dresses using European fabrics: French lace and tulle, English silk, handmade adds nobility to the image and allows the dress to look beautiful not only from afar, but also up close. The main focus of our studio has always been colored wedding dresses, I think this trend will continue to linger on the catwalks and in real life. Delicate shades of powder, cool dove, smoky, blue... We also have classic white and milky dresses in the collection, the main thing is to choose the right shade.

Nowadays it has become popular to sew dresses to order, when the designer can listen to the guest and grasp her style, mood, character, so that the phrase from the movie: “It’s not Vera Wang’s dress that adapts to you, but you to it!” – was no longer our reality.

But there is also a negative side to the development of the fashionable wedding sphere. The desire of brides to create their dresses individually is growing, and the number of unscrupulous “designers” is also growing. This happens in any field. The biggest problem is that before trying on, the quality of fabrics and workmanship is not always visible from photographs. Well, so far we have not had time to cultivate the demands of brides. Many, seeing beautiful picture, turn a blind eye to quality. The positive thing is that the presence of supply and competition increases the circle of interested customers.

Quite serious in Russia art school fashion designers, and now there are opportunities to express themselves and make themselves known. First of all, we define the VESSSNA WEDDING style as complete harmony between the bride and the dress. It is worth noting that the classic wedding look is influenced by new trends, but traditionally it is dominated by shades of white and cream, luxurious lace and sparkling embroidery. This dress requires a particularly careful selection of materials. A trendy image is no less labor-intensive; it is worth touching on the concept and style of the entire holiday, the mood and interests of the bride, her character and preferences. This outfit is not always tied to the color white and the usual materials and finishes, but this does not make it any less solemn. Our mission is to help brides not get lost in all the newfangled trends and listen more to their desires, intertwining them with long-standing traditions.

Time will tell how interesting our offers may be in other countries, but it is quite difficult to compete with large production companies due to their pricing. The most important thing we need now is healthy competition, because it will be the engine of progress and development of the wedding textile industry and, perhaps, then we will be able to fully talk about competitiveness at the global level.

I launched my brand from the UK, but presence is in its DNA. Russian origin It was noticeable even by the name - “Beretka”. The style of the headwear brand is very diverse. I often find inspiration in vintage. I have a great love for antiquity in its various manifestations, in particular, I am inspired by the Art Deco era. Therefore, once or twice a year I try to release at least one such collection. I also love headbands, small combs, tiaras - classic options, familiar to brides. But knowing my brand, anyone can see that the embodiment often takes on more modern forms. If we are talking about a tiara in the Beretkah sense, then it will be a tiara made of quartz crystals, and not a classic one with rhinestones.

Now I live in two cities, Moscow and Berlin, and this forms a special vision and creates a very interesting bridge between the West and Russia. For example, I noted for myself how, despite the fact that in Russia the tradition of wearing hats has not yet been revived, after the royal wedding in England, today’s youth began to take on more weight in hats, albeit not in Everyday life. As for the demand in the West, some designers with whom I collaborate, knowing about my Russian roots, they ask me to give a special flavor to the headdresses, since I create some products for specific European boutiques. Therefore, in my works you can see our, Russian: headdresses a la russe, towering crowns in a modern, geometric style. And sometimes I even receive requests for replicas of products that were created a year or two ago.

The Natasha Bovykina brand was created in 2010. Over the course of 7 years, we have gone from “rigid” classics to more flexible modernity: we expanded the palette of the model range, added colored embroidery and voluminous silk flowers, and replaced the corset with a more comfortable bustier. In short, we experimented and ended up winning.

What is the key to success? – Not just to keep abreast of trends, but to predict them and even dictate them. Every day we “monitor” the wedding market, study the work of colleagues around the world, are inspired by the work of photographers, and take note of new techniques of decorators and florists. All this is an integral part of progress, because our task, first of all, is to offer a unique product that will look harmonious at a certain period of time, but we also do not forget about the classics.
Natasha Bovykina's dresses have always been particularly tender; this is their specialty. Of course, trends dictate their own rules: in our new collection you can see how the voluminous flowers bloom harmoniously on the dresses. It is also worth mentioning lace separately; now it is fading into the background, becoming a decorative element of the overall composition. And instead, hand embroidery comes onto the scene. Drawings can be varied - from natural motifs and colors to ornate abstract patterns. Much depends on the choice of fabric. For each model, the designer determines perfect formula: style, fabric, color scheme, decor. But, of course, our main guideline remains the desire of the brides to change the color or style a little - and this is how completely special, unique dresses are born.

Being in constant contact with our European colleagues, we see that the assortment in their showrooms is oversaturated classic models. And since Russian designers have established themselves as innovators who easily catch all fashion trends, it is not surprising that Europe turns to us for fresh ideas when the need for creativity arises. The Russian wedding sector is quickly adapting to all changes. Perhaps because we are not market giants compared to famous foreign brands. But this is our strength - we are grateful to our competitors for constantly being in creative shape. Competition is the path to success, so full speed ahead!
