From a large sheet of fiberboard we cut the workpiece to the size we need. Pour into different plates cereals. Prepare PVA glue and a rough, wide brush.

Using a brush, apply glue over the entire surface of the fiberboard workpiece. Then we fill the entire canvas with manna cereal.

Cereals there should be enough to cover the surface of the entire workpiece. It turned out so small "snowdrift". And leave until the glue dries completely. Then not needed cereal we will remove with a fluffy brush.

After semolina cereal glued to the surface of the fiberboard, we apply a pattern using a stencil.

After applying the design, use rice to brighten the contours of the design. Cover the rice with black gouache.

Then, in the places that we want to see voluminous, we apply PVA glue, and barley on top cereal and leave the glue to dry completely.

To make the panel even, it is better to use tweezers.

Each area must be covered with cereal separately. If you sprinkle the painting, then leave it for a few minutes so that the glue sets, then turn the work over. Excess material will fall off. Then move on to the next section: cover with glue, sprinkle with grains again.

Cover the finished work with a white sheet of paper, place pressure on top, and leave for several days. This is especially important if the painting is stored without glass. Lastly, varnish and after a few days hang it on the wall.

Children's paintings

Children can create beautiful works too. Prepare seeds, cereals, cardboard, glue, paints, brush, template. The smaller the child, the larger the material should be (beans, pumpkin seeds). For older children, tomato, pepper, flower, and poppy seeds are suitable. The material must be selected in accordance with the plot, then you will get an original picture from cereals. How to make paintings from cereals with your own hands: master class

The panels can be made according to the principle of woolen paintings. Find a photo of a landscape and use it to select cereals, which you initially paint in the desired color. Grease the cardboard with glue and create the sky, sea, grass, road with layers of multi-colored semolina. Leave to dry. After a while, turn the work over so that the excess grain falls off.

Next, move on to the next layer. Cover the seagulls with rice with tweezers, make bushes and trees from dyed millet and poppy seeds (can be replaced with bell seeds). Now lay out the side trunks of trees from acacia and millet seeds. Make foliage from various grains and small seeds.

The cereal painting is almost ready. Sprinkle grass on the sides of the road. Leave the work to dry (preferably under pressure). Then prepare the frame. If you take a ready-made one, decorate it with cereal or pasta in accordance with the landscape. Or make it out of cardboard. Cut out the base from the passe-partout, paint, decorate with cereal. Next, glue the base, picture and mat together, attach a loop.

Owl

For this work you will need white and black beans, green and yellow peas, sunflower seeds, yellowish rice, buckwheat. On cardboard, draw an owl on a branch. Make the pupils from black beans, gluing a reflection (of white beans) in the middle. The whites of the eyes will be made from white beans, and the borders will be covered with black beans.

The nose and paws will be made of yellow peas, the wings and head will be made of sunflower seeds. Fill the rest of the space with rice and buckwheat. Glue a couple of feathers (seeds) on top of the cereal on the breast. The branch can be made from buckwheat, the leaves from green peas. Paint the background with blue gouache.

To make a picture of cereal fit into the interior, make an appropriate frame. Garnish it with beans, corn or peas. To create a specific pattern, like a baguette frame, use macaroni, gold or silver acrylic paints. Cover the frame and picture with varnish.

Panels of cereals using plasticine

Small seeds develop fingers, but it is difficult for children to work with PVA glue and cereals. They do not distribute the glue over the entire surface of the design, which is why lumps and voids appear. In addition, their crafts quickly crumble. In this case, it is better to replace the glue with plasticine, clay or a quickly hardening mass.

Use very thick cardboard or thin chipboard. Draw a picture with all the lines. Take plasticine that matches the color of the cereal or the background of the plot. Distribute it first along the lines and border of some area. For example, apply plasticine to the middle of the flower. From the outer edge, secure by pressing in the yellow corn kernels.

Next comes the second round of black beans or watermelon seeds. Fill the middle with buckwheat. Then distribute the plasticine along the lines of the petals, laying them out with black seeds, and fill the rest of the space with red corn kernels.

Natural materials make extraordinary pictures of cereals and seeds; making them with your own hands is not at all difficult, especially if you take materials such as dried flowers, berries, and leaves. These works should also be varnished, framed and hung on the wall.

Another option is glass or plywood. Glass comes complete with frame. In this case, the finished craft will be very heavy. If it falls, the glass will break, the painting will be damaged and cannot be restored. If the craft is small and will be located, for example, on a table, glass can be used. But first you need to stick a sheet of paper on it and let it dry.

Preparing the basis for the future painting

The selected design should be applied to the base using a pencil or copy paper. Apply the sketch carefully, with thin, barely noticeable lines. Thick and bright lines will be difficult to cover with grain; they will still show through.

After drawing the sketch, you should decide on the material. What cereals and grains will be in this or that part of the picture. How many of them are needed for the painting to be completed completely? You should also choose the right material. It is not recommended to use material similar in color in adjacent areas.

You will need acrylic paint and alcohol. Place dry cereal in a container. Place a few drops of paint there. Thick paint can be thinned by adding alcohol. Mix the cereal and paint very well. Then spread the mixture in a thin layer on plastic wrap. To prevent the grains from sticking together, you need to stir periodically. Do not use colored cereal until completely dry. Small grains can be laid out using a needle, the tip of which can be lubricated with glue. Pour semolina, corn grits, and poppy seeds from a teaspoon and gently level the surface with your finger. When the painting is finished, you need to seal the frame with tape. Cover the surface of the painting with varnish. Leave to dry for about a day. DIY painting of cereals and seeds

I found a photograph of a landscape with a church in the background - this is what we took when we were in the Kiev Botanical Garden in the fall. In our kitchen cabinet we found the following cereals and seeds:

• buckwheat,

• split peas (halved),

• various pasta.

On thick cardboard we painted the background with watercolors: the sky, grass and a place for the stairs. Then they drew the dome of the church with a pencil. Now you can lay out the cereals.

PVA glue was applied to the part that needed to be filled with cereals or seeds and glued one at a time - halves of orange peas, sunflower seeds and rice.

They did the same with the rest of the picture, but when they laid out the trees, the cereals were glued not one at a time, but a lot at once. If not all the grains stick, it’s okay, you can simply blow them off from the painting later.

For the branches we had to take pasta - noodles. The only thing we didn’t take into account is that the noodles are very light; it would be better to paint them a brighter color first.

Coffee beans were used for the tree trunks - they give a bright spot in the picture, volume and shine. The stairs were bordered with purple beans. Although the staircase in the photo is not the same as the one in our picture, I like our version better.
