Realistic type

The smallest nuances convey the character of the hero, tell his story... This anime is similar to ancient Eastern drawing techniques, when one line could tell the viewer a whole plot.

One of the most important distinctive features anime is an image of eyes. Their size and degree of brilliance indicate how young the hero is - than younger character, the larger and brighter his eyes.

Drawing a girl's face

Manga is not only (and not always) big eyes, this is, first of all, a clear correspondence to the “real world”. You will definitely need examples. Take similar images from other works or use a large mirror in which to pose for yourself. Try different angles before committing to the final sketch.

Basics of drawing. Creating a hero figure

As you may know from the lesson "", the height of a person is on average seven and a half of his "heads". Because anime heroes are still some kind of heroes, then their height, as a rule, is 8 or more “heads”. This way our heroes become more expressive. The remaining body proportions are identical to those of a human.

At the first stage of drawing, we create only a mannequin of our future character, which looks more like an articulated doll than another master of the elements.

When I draw a hairstyle, I start with the hair around the face. This creates the foundation for the rest of the hair, and is quite important because it creates the face. 4. Straight hair, typical of Asian people, is also found in many cultures. There are layered and “with smooth edges”, the first have a soft end, the second - straight hair that has been cut across. They are basically drawn the same way, but they look different.

Drawing braided hair is also difficult to depict, here are a few examples.

3. Bunches. They can be done without pulling the ponytail all the way through the hair tie. Others do it by wrapping the entire hair in a bun and then securing it with bobby pins. Remember that hair has texture, so don't draw a flat round ball!

4. Tails! The first example is wavy hair and a little layered. Some of the top hairs do not reach the ends of the other, long ones.
