The seventies artist Yuri Rysukhin differs significantly from both the predecessors of the “sixties” and from his contemporaries, many of whom were carried away by postmodern innovations and post-avant-garde quests. Rysukhin does not fall into any of these categories. The difference between the master’s style is in the choice of eternal, endlessly familiar images and subjects that carry timeless values. He remains faithful to his characters, who are involved in goodness and beauty, because for Rysukhin these are the most important categories of existence. In his work, Yuri Rysukhin glorifies the Motherland, country, people and returns us to the origins of the people's past.

In his work, Yuri Alekseevich turns to the enormous heritage of world art, skillfully combining tradition and modernity. The artist's main sources of inspiration icon, folk art, European art late Middle Ages. He paints using an ancient painting technique - painting with tempera paints on wood primed with gesso. This experience, like love for Early Renaissance, the author adopted from the famous Russian artist Dmitry Zhilinsky, whom the painter considers one of his mentors. Appearance iconographic traditions in the master's work is not accidental. Rysukhin writes earthly life like an icon, and fills the Russian village with classical motifs: this is how he sees this world, practically unfamiliar to the townspeople. Filling with spirit high art provincial Russia, the author preserves the aesthetics of Russian folk art. His works contain a constant dialogue with the masters different eras. By deliberately mixing up the connection of times, he creates a feeling of continuous human existence.

The master's artistic language is characterized by colorfulness and decorativeness. He is interested in folklore and borrows techniques from traditional folk painting using pagan symbols. A memorable accent is the red color, sometimes blazing with passion and sorrow, sometimes giving way to purity and enlightenment. IN Lately the artist is increasingly interested in working with multi-figure compositions and “ large paintings”, which are now becoming increasingly rare. These works are full of countless symbolic details, each of which is carefully considered before entering the picture.
