In 1985, the album was recorded in Russian and English. It is noteworthy that Russian-language and English-language songs are in no way connected in meaning. For example, “The roof of your house” is called “Look at their faces”, and “Vacation” is called “I Send to You My Love”.

In 1988, the artist returned to creativity. He writes two more parts of the musical about the grasshopper Kuza together with Mikhail Plyatskovsky, and for the third time reaches the final of “Song of the Year” - with the work “Don’t pick the flowers.” After this, in the late 90s and early 2000s, the artist gets to the festival with songs from previous years.

At the beginning of the new century, Antonov presented the album “You Are No More Beautiful.” It included songs that were recorded back in 1995 with Mikhail Finberg’s orchestra at the celebration of the 30th anniversary creative activity Yuri. By 2000, Antonov had released almost 20 records and discs, with a total circulation of 48 million copies.

At the turn of the century, the artist tried himself as a producer, trying to promote a girl named Svetlana Almazova. With the help of Antonov, the young singer released the album “Sweet Honey”, but new project was not successful, compositions performed by Sveta were not taken on the radio, since they were much inferior to Antonov’s previous songs. As a result, the project was canceled, and Yuri tried to remove the album from sale so as not to discredit himself.

In 1997, Yuri Antonov was awarded the title of People's Artist Russian Federation. For services to development national culture and many years of fruitful activity on December 10, 2015 he was awarded the Order Friendship, which received from the hands of President Vladimir Putin

Singer Yuri Antonov turns 72 in February 2017. Last years he does not often appear in public; he leads a quiet life in a country house near Moscow. But the concert schedule famous performer still tight, after all lyrical compositions Antonova is loved by more than one generation of listeners.

Childhood and youth

To calculate how old singer Yuri Antonov is, you need to know his date of birth. In 1945, on February 19, a boy, Yura, appeared in the family of a serviceman in Tashkent. My father served in the Marine Corps, and my mother lived for some time in Uzbekistan during evacuation.

Like most military families, it was impossible to stay in one place for long. The father was soon transferred to Germany, where Yuri’s younger sister was born. And then the family moves to Belarus, where the father serves in several garrisons. After frequent moves, the Antonov family stops in the town of Molodechno. This city is associated with the beginning of the singer’s career, because it is here that his parents send him to a music school, and then to the local music school.

In his first year, young Antonov begins to work - he gets a job as a choir director at the local House of Culture. Success in the musical field allowed me to seek myself further in this direction. After graduating from college, Antonov goes to Minsk, where he gets a job at the Philharmonic. The parents of the aspiring musician had also moved to Minsk by that time.

He had to take a short break from his career to serve in the army, where Yuri was drafted in 1964. But after the service, the young man returns to the capital of Belarus and continues to work at the Philharmonic, where he now leads the Tonika ensemble.

First steps to success

A young talented musician is noticed. In 1969, Yuri received an offer from the Singing Guitars group and accepted it. At first, the singer worked as an instrumentalist-keyboardist, but soon became the soloist of a famous Leningrad band.

Antonov’s first compositions are heard by the VIA “Singing Guitars”, but very soon the songs of the talented musician can be heard from Lev Leshchenko, his songs are performed by the VIA “Blue Bird” and “Earthlings”.

A few years later, Antonov was already working with the Sovremennik orchestra, followed by work artistic director VIA "Magistral".

The musician’s songs are gaining popularity, he has hundreds of fans in different parts of the country. We can say that the peak of the singer’s career was the 80s, at which time Yuri Antonov was considered the most famous performer throughout the entire Soviet Union.

But despite the popularity, the earnings of the famous performer were very modest. According to the salary grid, his salary was approximately 30 rubles. In those years it was a very mediocre salary, so it is not surprising that Antonov had to “farce.” Trips abroad helped to earn additional income. In the West, Antonov bought foreign equipment, which he successfully sold to his colleagues back home. The earnings were good, so the singer soon managed to save up money for a Volvo 244, a rare and expensive car in those years. By the way, this car was not the first, but was an addition to the VAZ 2103 and VAZ 2106 already available at that time.

Calm period

In the late 80s, new interesting groups appeared on the scene. Groups " Tender May", "Mirage" basked in the rays of glory, won fans while Antonov received offers to hold concerts less and less often. The singer did not know how to remind himself and did not want to, so he decided to try himself in a new role - he became a producer.

The producer's project was Svetlana Almazova, for whom she wrote an album. But the singer’s name was never promoted, so the aspiring producer soon closed his project. Yuri even tried to remove Almazova’s first album from sale.

For almost 10 years, Yuri Antonov disappeared from the country's concert venues. And only at the beginning of the new century his name began to appear in concert programs again. During this period, the public again turned to retro performers, and the songs of the talented author sounded with new strength. To this day, fans remember and sing his best compositions:

  • "The roof of your house";
  • “The world depends on us”;
  • "Sea";
  • “I’ll walk along Apricotovaya”;
  • "From sadness to joy";
  • "Dream" and many others.

At the beginning of the century, the singer releases a new album. The list of compositions includes not only new songs, but also the most famous hits that are loved by more than one generation of listeners. The author himself believes that new songs are written by those who do not have popular songs. This expression certainly does not apply to him.

Not long ago, Antonov tried himself as a member of the jury of the “Main Stage” project. There were rumors about his appearance among the mentors of the popular project “The Voice”, but they were not confirmed.

The artist's love affairs

Young Antonov's first love turned out to be unrequited. The girl he met while studying at the Molodechno School chose someone else. They say that many years later she came to the concert of her former fan and made her way backstage. But Yuri received her coolly then - the love had long passed.

The first official wife was the girl Anastasia. Little is known about her, and according to the artist, the marriage was fictitious. She planned to emigrate to America and the singer agreed to help her with paperwork. At that time, he also had thoughts about emigrating, but he soon abandoned this idea.

His second marriage to Mila Babanovich helped the singer get a “ticket” to travel abroad. His wife was a native of Yugoslavia, which gave him some advantages. Is it true, family life didn't last long.

Anna is the singer’s third wife. The marriage also did not last long and broke up. Today Anna lives in Paris. Very little is known about her, as well as about other women of the performer.

The singer himself says that he fell in love several times in his life, but all relationships made it clear that there is a very short distance from love to hate. Perhaps that is why women did not stay in the artist’s life for long. He has a very complex character.

Antonov has two children. The eldest daughter lives abroad, but the son did not dare to leave the country.

In recent years, Antonov has been living in own home 15 km. from Moscow. Spacious Vacation home Surrounded high fence, as befits the main recluse of the domestic scene. After all, the singer gives few comments, rarely agrees to an interview, and getting him to speak a few words is a great success for any journalist!

  1. At a concert in Kuibyshev in the late 80s, a scandal broke out. The audience considered the singer's expressions rude and his manner of performance completely inappropriate. The reason was the termination of the concert at the initiative of the performer after rude language was heard from the audience.
  2. There are 12 cats and 5 dogs living in the artist’s house. Mostly the animals are not purebred, picked up on the street.
  3. He loves fishing and during summer tours one of the conditions is to organize a fishing trip.
  4. He likes to drive recklessly.
  5. Man of moods. Concert organizers have long been familiar with complex character singer and know that he can cancel the concert literally the day before it starts. True, he honestly returns all fees.
  6. Doesn't like gambling.

Biography, life story of Antonov Yuri

Antonov Yuri Mikhailovich - Soviet and Russian composer, singer, poet.

Childhood

Yuri was born on February 19, 1945 in Tashkent into a military family. His father, Mikhail Vasilyevich Antonov, fought in a separate marine brigade during the war. In the summer of 1944, he was awarded leave and came to Tashkent, where his wife Natalya lived in evacuation. Nine months later she was born future star Russian pop singer Yuri Antonov (besides him, there was another child in the family - daughter Zhanna; she was born in 1948).

Mikhail Vasilyevich saw his son in fits and starts, as he worked in the Berlin commandant’s office for two years. When the Antonov family was finally reunited, it was decided to move to Belarus - to the city of Molodechno. Yuri went to school there. He became seriously interested in music and at the age of 14 became the leader of the railway workers' choir at the local depot (in the same choir he played the accordion and received 60 rubles a month). Since the club was located 20 km from Molodechno, Antonov had to get to it in different ways: sometimes on foot, sometimes by passing cars.

Youth

Yuri Antonov was no less active during his years of study at the music school (from 1959 to 1963): he created Dixieland there. However, due to the lack of necessary equipment, its participants had to be content with what was at hand: Russian folk instruments. But even despite this, Antonov’s Dixieland was popular.

In the early 60s, Antonov got a job as an accordionist at the Belarusian Philharmonic. His first tour as part of a folk instrument ensemble took place in February 1964 in Novosibirsk. Antonov received 400 rubles for them. At the same time, the talented musician was noticed by the singer Viktor Vuyachich, popular in those years, and invited to be the music director in his ensemble. As part of this team, Antonov traveled to many cities and villages of the then USSR. During one tour in Donetsk (in 1969), Antonov met with musicians of the Leningrad vocal and instrumental ensemble “Singing Guitars”. Having received an invitation to work with them, he agreed and moved to Leningrad.

The beginning of a serious career

Antonov lived in the city on the Neva for about a year and a half. Then his creative relationship with “Singing Guitars” ceased and he was forced to look for a new place of work. But where? And then his musician friends from Moscow created the vocal and instrumental ensemble “” and invited Antonov to join them. So at the very beginning of the 70s he ended up in Moscow.

Since in those years the attitude of the official authorities towards youth VIA was wary, “” were unable to join the capital’s musical organizations and toured from the Chita Philharmonic. However, this did not affect the popularity of the team at all. The group's repertoire included everything: songs by Soviet composers, Western hits and songs own composition. In 1971, the first EP with songs by Yu. Antonov was released (the other two would be released in 1974 and 1976).

Meanwhile, Antonov’s stay in “” turned out to be short-lived. Due to creative differences, he left the group and got a job at Rosconcert: first he played in the music hall, then in the ensemble of Anatoly Kroll. In the mid-70s, Antonov finally created his own group - VIA Magistral - and went to the Moscow Philharmonic. It was as part of this ensemble that Antonov experienced real success with his audience. According to a survey of readers of the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets", "Magistral" was named the best VIA in 1976 (along with ""). Antonov’s songs “There is no one more beautiful than you,” “Stop, don’t shoot, soldier,” “About good fellows” became national hits.

However, despite this success, creative situation Antonov could not be called stable. He was stubbornly not accepted as a member of the Union of Composers, so the Melodiya recording company did not have the right to release giant CDs with his songs (although they really wanted this, considering Antonov one of the most classy Soviet performers). He was not given the title in Moscow, so Antonov had to receive it elsewhere: he became an Honored Artist of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He was also not allowed on television due to the hostile attitude of the then television management towards him. Difficulties also arose in the artist’s touring activities: in 1976 he was not allowed to travel to Bulgaria and Finland. In the end, Antonov’s nerves could not stand it and he decided to leave the USSR forever. Submitted documents to the OVIR. However, the mother and father were able to persuade their son not to leave his homeland.

A new stage of creativity

In 1979, Antonov began his collaboration with popular rock band"", which in those years worked in the troupe of the Lenin Komsomol Theater and was considered one of the best hard rock groups in the Soviet Union. The result of this collaboration was the release of two minions at once with Antonov’s songs (“Mirror”, “Golden Staircase”, “Anastasia”, “A Dream Comes True”, etc.), which instantly became national hits.

In the early 80s, Antonov already confidently occupied the place of one of the most popular composers and performers in the Soviet Union. In 1981, in the popularity parade held by the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, he was nominated by readers for first place. Every new song by Antonov, as soon as it was released, became a national hit. It's about about the songs: “Under the roof of your house”, “Twenty years later”, etc. In 1981, the television film by V. Makarov and A. Polynnikov “Take care of women” was released on TV screens, which featured songs written by Yuri Antonov. Largely due to this circumstance, the film had big success from the public.

Meanwhile, Antonov’s super-popularity continued to cause open discontent on the part of many venerable composers. The artist himself recalled it this way: “When my song “Poppies” appeared, Eduard Kolmanovsky rebelled against it. He was outraged that I was invading his ideological channel. He decided that his song “Do the Russians Want War” should be almost the only song about the war. And Nikita Bogoslovsky, sensing a competitor in me, also tried in every possible way to undo what I had done. Their criticism was not just verbal, they were members of many artistic councils, had influence in various authorities, and practically harmed me. That’s why I wasn’t accepted into the Composers’ Union for a long time...”.

But, despite the hostility of his venerable colleagues, Antonov lived well in the 80s. His concert rate was 30 rubles, but the administrators paid him another 400 unofficially. Plus, 15 thousand rubles were transferred monthly to his account at VAAP. Where does this money come from? For example, Melodiya released an EP with his songs with a circulation of several million copies.

“I took a thousand rubles a month for expenses. Where more? Going to a restaurant with a girl then cost 30 rubles, including cognac and sturgeon. I bought a lot of clothes, but you can’t wear them out in a month. So I left the rest of the money in the savings bank...".

In 1985, Antonov finally stopped being restricted from traveling abroad and got the opportunity to go to Finland, where he was offered to record a record at a large recording company. They say that Antonov then brought two suitcases to his wife fashionable clothes(Antonov was married three times: two of his wives were Russian, and the third was from Yugoslavia).

star fever

Antonov's popularity among listeners then grew by leaps and bounds. His new records were released (in 1985 the giant disc “Believe in a Dream” was released), television played his songs, many pop stages in the largest cities of the Union considered it lucky for him to perform on them. And then in March 1987 a scandal suddenly broke out.

The newspaper "Soviet Culture" wrote: “First, an alarming signal came from Tolyatti - in the five-thousand-seat hall of the Voltar Sports Palace, where Yuri Antonov’s performances took place, the singer allowed himself inappropriate, rude statements addressed to the audience. Tolyatti residents were offended.

Following this signal, another signal came from Kuibyshev - Yuri Antonov disrupted the concert at the local Sports Palace.

...The huge hall was overcrowded. The audience warmly received the artist and gave him flowers. Suddenly, someone loudly screamed.

Since this all started. The artist found the shout offensive; he interrupted the song mid-sentence and demanded that the author of the line apologize and go backstage. The musicians also followed him. Then they took the stage again, performed several instrumental pieces, and then the performance ended. Antonov did not deign to sing anymore. The indignant public was indignant, and local authorities culture decided to prematurely interrupt Antonov’s tour.

In Kuibyshev, with its fairly active concert life, they do not remember such an incident. But since this has happened, we need to understand the reasons for this behavior of both sides...

Everyone says that Antonov’s “own goal” has been brewing for a long time. He clearly cannot stand the test of fame. This is not the first time that his prime ministerial habits have been noticed. When he goes on tour, he demands increased attention: personally assigned car of a popular model, more luxurious hotel apartments. But what’s even worse is that he makes tactless statements from the stage to the audience.

For some reason, Antonov is especially irritated by the age of the audience. Concerts with his participation attract many people who are already over 30 and even over 40. It would be rejoice that mature yours to people I also like art. But, apparently, Antonov is consumed by longing for the young, overexcited and enthusiastic crowd of fans. And therefore he considers it normal to loudly, through a microphone, inquire from the audience: where are the young people, are they among those present and why are there so many people to whom “tickets are brought to the offices”...

In the editorial mail there are often letters telling about the unworthy behavior of Yu. Antonov. Readers from Nikopol sent an issue of Nikopolskaya Pravda, which talked about how the artist forbade the newspaper’s photojournalist to take his photographs, citing the fact that the portraits would be “launched” for sale among the population. The newspaper “Soviet Youth” (October 11, 1986) wrote about the more than strange speech of Yu. Antonov in Riga. A reader from the Moscow region, G. Pankov, cites in his letter the remarks with which the artist peppered his performances during the concert at the Sports Palace in Luzhniki and in the Central Concert Hall. “The situation when Yuri Antonov allowed himself to spit on stage is completely incomprehensible,” writes A. Zubkova, a reader from Kuibyshev.

This is not the first time Antonov has capriciously disrupted concerts. Here, in Kuibyshev, they have not yet forgotten how in 1983, also on the March holidays, it was his fault that the already announced concert did not take place...”

The only print media that stood up for the artist in those days was the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. Correspondent A. Roslyakov wrote in the article “And the viewer was punished”: “The singer made a mistake. After a loud shout, he left the audience and was unable to return to the stage; he did not finish singing exactly 18 minutes of his hour and a half program... The orchestra behaved decorously, and did not want to react to his performance. And those who really needed him, Yuri Antonov, who stood in line for tickets, sat far away.

And the singer allowed himself to reproach half-jokingly that it is not easy to perform when in the first rows are those whose tickets for the concert are brought directly to the office. And the punishment did not take long to arrive - at the next concert, a loud voice was heard: “Hack worker!”

Antonov asks to remove the loudmouths from the hall, but no one responds to this. And then he leaves on his own.

His tour was cut short and he was asked to clean out the hotel.

But Antonov did not immediately give up. On March 7, the day after the incident, he came with the ensemble to the Sports Palace, on which there was already a notice about the cancellation of concerts “due to the unworthy behavior of Yu. Antonov.” We have an agreement, the singer said, no one has terminated it, the audience is waiting for us, we will perform. But serious barriers awaited the spectators with orders not to let anyone in. Antonov and the ensemble still managed to break into the hall. We changed our clothes and went on stage. The administrator of the ensemble announced through a megaphone: the concert will take place. But someone, just to be on the safe side, turned off the electricity in the Palace. Thanks to the concerted efforts of security guards, the concert was disrupted. Antonov flew away, the ensemble remained to guard the equipment...”

However, the article in Komsomolskaya Pravda turned out to be a voice crying in the desert. And on April 16, the official response of Mosconcert director K. Bulgakov to the article “What the audience was offended by” appeared in “Soviet Culture.” It reported: “For unethical behavior at a concert in the Sports Palace of the city of Kuibyshev on March 6, 1987, comrade. Antonov Yu.M. He was severely reprimanded and suspended from participating in foreign trips for a period of six months.”.

And what about Antonov himself? This is how he explained what was happening in an interview with the newspaper “Voice”: “The case in Kuibyshev is simply unique. And at the same time typical. At one of the concerts the audience did not like my performance. But this was not an ordinary spectator, but the party and bureaucratic elite. What most upset me then was the behavior of some journalists. Staff reporter " Soviet culture“in the Volga region, Prazdnikov, having learned about the directive of the first secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU Muravyov, wrote a huge article about me. By the way, he was not even at the concert, like Muravyov, to whom my performance was presented accordingly. I took advantage of the opportunity and “ Soviet Russia", who made up nonsense about me. After that, I was forbidden to appear on Central Television, my songs stopped being played on the radio. There was a tour in Finland coming up, but I was not allowed to leave the country. The company that invited me suffered big losses, because it reserved the halls for performances and, naturally, it had to pay a penalty. They didn’t explain why I wasn’t allowed to leave. Here Mosconcert was especially overzealous - the organization is disgusting. She had a grudge against me for a long time and now an opportunity presented itself to settle the score. People at Mosconcert are accustomed to artists giving large bribes for the provision of equipment, but I didn’t give them anything...”.

The massive attack on Antonov from the pages of the central press ended only after the singer himself took decisive action. Together with the poet Oleg Vilenkin, they wrote a letter addressed to him and took it to Old Square- Central Committee of the CPSU. It came to the main ideologist Alexander Nikolaevich Yakovlev and he ordered the newspaper editors: “Stop making fun of people!”. The bullying stopped.

90s

The beginning of the 90s was for Antonov a period of some oblivion on the part of his listeners. A wave of new pop music then covered the country and many former performers found themselves unclaimed. However, several years passed and time put everything in its place. Most of the new “stars” turned out to be completely untenable professionally and the public demanded their former idols. And, of course, Yuri Antonov returned to the stage. He released three audio cassettes with recordings of his old songs in a new arrangement: “Mirror”, “ Lunar path", "The current carries me."

In 1995, he was finally accepted as a member of the Union of Composers. However, the number of his envious people did not decrease after that, but even vice versa. Moreover, in their machinations against Antonov, they sometimes went to extreme measures. Let's give examples. On July 15, 1996, Antonov almost lost his recording studio on Maroseyka. The Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper then reported: “Last night in Moscow, unknown persons tried to blow up the recording studio of the famous singer and composer Yuri Antonov. According to the Moscow State Administration. fire service until an unidentified explosive device went off at 3:40 p.m. Immediately after the explosion, a fire started. According to KP sources, the night crime was committed on a “commercial basis”.

According to other sources, Antonov was then retaliated against by his political opponents. The fact is that the artist at one time actively supported the Liberal Democratic Party and even intended to become a deputy from this party. He met with him at his dacha, after which he described the LDPR leader as follows: “The personality is purposeful, strong, you can’t say anything. Although, of course, some of his views can be discussed and even shocking.".

But Antonov never became a deputy. After the LDPR and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation agreed that the Lgovsky district would be handed over to the communists, Antonov withdrew his candidacy from the elections.

2000s

In the early 2000s, Yuri Mikhailovich Antonov retired a little. In 2001, he released the collection “You Are No More Beautiful” and stopped there. Seven years later, the disc was re-recorded by another studio, but nothing changed significantly.

Thanks to Antonov, the world got to know such talented performers, like Evgeniy Margulis, Victor Zinchuk and many others. All of them at a certain time collaborated with Antonov, learned from him and tried to learn at least a little from his rich experience.

Yuri Antonov was a member of the jury of the New Wave music competition three times - in 2009, 2011 and 2013. In the summer of 2014, Antonov was once again lucky enough to become a judge - he was invited to the Five Stars competition.

Personal life

Until the summer of 1997, Antonov lived in Moscow in a two-room apartment in the Vorontsov Ponds area. He lived alone, having divorced his third wife several years earlier. He later explained his loneliness this way: “I've been married three times. And I've had enough. Almost all of my friends dream of quickly sailing away from what is called a quiet family haven. Women with character don't interest me at all. Let the character be shown somewhere on the side, away from me. Normal woman should be soft and flexible. If a man brings money into a house, then there cannot be two heads in it. You need to respect the man and adapt to him. And if this is not the case, then the family ends. There are many women who I like from a distance: they are very individual and independent. You can be friends, communicate: “Hello - hello!” But close - no, goodbye. These are probably magnificent lovers and wonderful friends. But not wives...".

Note that all three ex-wives Antonov moved abroad: one to New York, another to Zagreb, the third to Paris. Antonov's first wife was called Anastasia, the second was Miroslava, and the third was Anna. Anna gave Yuri Mikhailovich children - daughter Lyudmila and son Mikhail.

In the summer of 1997, Antonov finally completed the construction of a three-story mansion in Peredelkino. It was built by Turkish craftsmen for about a year and a half. own project Antonov. Everything appeared in the artist’s new home: a recording studio, Gym, billiard room. Together with him, his animals began to live in the mansion: twelve cats and four dogs (Antonov loved animals since childhood). However, already in the fall of 2011, the composer moved from his mansion to a new home - a luxurious house in the village of Gribovo, which is located fifteen kilometers from Moscow.

From an interview with Yu. Antonov: “Fans rather like my music rather than me. I am very critical of myself. True, from time to time they try to take me apart for souvenirs; they harass me over the phone. Here’s a lady from St. Petersburg who calls every day and says such nonsense!.. In my opinion, she’s crazy….

I buy practically nothing in Moscow. Everything is abroad. I go into the store, whatever I like is what I take. Most of all I love buying jackets. I have a huge number of them hanging in my closet. Different colors. I only wear them rarely, mostly just admiring them. This lifts the mood...

I part with money quite easily when it comes to purchasing any equipment for the studio. Apart from that, I spend money on perfumes. And first I’ll buy some eau de toilette, and then I figure out whether her scent suits me or not...

Politics is a flexible concept. I’m not going to hang around the podium defending the interests of any movement. But I have other options. For example, I personally know the President of Belarus. He is an honest, decent person. And all his motives and thoughts are aimed at uniting the Slavic peoples, which I fully share.”

Awards and prizes

In 1997, Yu. Antonov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. At the same time, a slab with his name was laid on the “Square of Stars” near the Central Concert Hall “Russia” in Moscow.

An interesting case from life

On December 27, 1997, Moskovsky Komsomolets published an article by K. Pryannik under the intriguing title “Yuri Antonov miraculously did not fall under the gun”: “Yu. Antonov almost fell a victim of his own sentimentality. To spend New Year's Eve at a high aesthetic level, Yuri Mikhailovich acquired a Christmas tree in advance. I chose a good copy and took it to install it at my summer cottage.

The maestro chose not a simple Christmas tree, but a blue one. They say no less than their Kremlin counterparts. They brought the plant on a truck, as many as 15 workers installed it, and the customer himself watched everything from the side. And just as he began to figure out how to decorate the branches, the tree collapsed right on top of its owner. It’s scary to even think about the consequences that would have threatened Antonov’s health if he had fallen under the gun. Fortunately, it was simply covered by the crown. And he escaped with shallow scratches."

Yuri Mikhailovich! Thank you so much for the wonderful songs and such a unique performance. But special thanks to you for saving the lives of animals. I am your colleague in this noble cause, although most people think we are crazy. If only there were more of us like that, maybe then there would be fewer wars. S.V. Obraztsov once said: “Those who do not love animals are not capable of loving people.” Health to you and your happy pets.

Yuri Mikhailovich! Honor and praise to your talent! My generation lived and lives with your wonderful songs! I'm a little younger than you. All your songs are amazing! They will live forever! My generation grew up listening to the songs of Yuri Mikhailovich Antonov. His songs are very melodic, soulful, sincere... They are not subject to fashion, time... Such great composers have the right to stardom, because they really are stars. I am very sorry that in this collection they write very disrespectfully about our idol. I'm really sorry...

I need a job. I am a Muscovite. 3 years as a pensioner. Worked at Sberbank (economist, knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.). But everything is in the past. I have an apartment in Morshansk (Tambov region), but to this day I can’t sell it. When I walk around Morshansk, I see a lot of stray cats and I feed them all (I carry Wiskas + water + plastic bowls). And it's such a pain. I think and am convinced that I am exactly the person who is ready, able and loves to care for animals. And, accordingly, help the composer. I've been since 1956, and I'm certainly not a predator. Everything is transparent, any documents will be provided to you.

Natalya Mikhailovna (Kamyshin)

Dear Yuri Mikhailovich, your songs are, of course, amazing, but your affection for animals is even more amazing. I bow to you for every rescued cat, dog, bird... This is familiar and understandable to me, I live with it myself. I had up to 15 cats. I feed them, treat them, vaccinate them if necessary, in a word, I just love them and help them as much as I can. People are now angry and greedy. Communicating with them makes you sick; communicating with animals gives such pleasure that it is comparable only to communicating with children. I wish you health and success.
Sincerely your fan.

Yes, the songs are undoubtedly good and soulful. But here’s the question: where are the new ones, who performs them, and why does Antonov sing hits of past years at his anniversaries and just birthdays? Once information flashed that he had bought an unknown but very talented self-taught guy who wrote all the songs for Antonov, but became an alcoholic and died. And that’s it, nothing more new since then (seems to be true). I was at his last concert, dedicated to the next anniversary, I was waiting for something new, at least one thing... There was nothing.

Alla (Vitebsk)

Handsome, smart, modest, which is not typical for a star of such importance. As always, such people are lonely. He’s right - the husband brings money, and he’s so talented. It should be carried in your arms. All that remains is to regret that I didn’t meet you. I would blow away the dust particles. He would like someone like Nelly from Kobzon. A talent of this magnitude needs to be showered with love and attention every day. He is fragile and delicate, like an orchid. Many women do not appreciate such people. His music and charm would be enough without money. So what were those wives like? What do they have abroad? Yes, one could be proud of one name and consider it an honor to live with him under the same roof. I love, adore, admire!
Sincerely yours Alla.

A wonderful musician, vocalist, composer! I grew up listening to your songs! They are always fresh and young for any generation, because they are sincere and sincere! Simple, beautiful, pro!!! It seems to me that you are the Mozart of the stage! And the attacks on you are confirmation of this. Your compositions cannot be attributed to anyone, they are vividly individual! Success, love and joy to you!!!

Svetlana (Murmansk)

In March 2011 I was at the concert of Yu.M. Antonov (the concert took place in Murmansk). I have been singing songs by this author since I was five years old. For my birthday (March 8), my children and husband gave me a concert ticket and a CD with Yuri Antonov’s songs, knowing that I always take autographs from the performers. But, alas, Yuri Mikhailovich gave an autograph to everyone and on everything: a paper napkin, a piece of paper from something, a concert ticket, but he did not give me an autograph, saying that he does not give an autograph on counterfeit products. If the singer is fighting so hard for his rights, he could take this disc from me and give me the original one with his autograph or give me a postcard with his photo and autograph. After this concert there was (still) a bad feeling in my soul. This is the first time this has happened to me, like this in front of an audience of thousands... Those who were next to me were surprised and outraged. I've been listening to songs since then, but...

Dear Yuri Mikhailovich, congratulations on your anniversary! Thank you very much for the wonderful songs: “For me, there is no one more beautiful than you,” “Anastasia,” “Twenty years later,” etc. I love them very much. After watching Andrei Malakhov’s program, I respected you even more for your love for animals, for the fact that you defend the rights of animals to “human treatment” towards them. Thank you. I wish you health for many years to come!

Ekaterina (Moscow)

Yuri Mikhailovich! Thank you for the hit of the 70s “For me, there is no one more beautiful than you.” I heard it for the first time at the age of 10 and was really worried, listening to both the music and the words, but only 40 years later I learned that the composition was yours. Although I thought I knew all your work. Yes, this is such a discovery. So thank you for being able to endure everything quite with character, and character is destiny. And we all come from childhood. And I understand you perfectly why both dogs and cats stick to you... You can’t fool them, just like you. Good health or at least try to maintain it, be in harmony with yourself and maybe, God willing, a third wind will open for creativity?!

Elena (Khakassia, Sayanogorsk)

Yuri Antonov, or rather, his songs, have helped me in my life more than once. There was a very difficult separation from my first husband, my brother sent me a postcard with words from the song “A Dream Comes True”, this song helped me get out of depression. Since then, his songs always cheer me up whenever I feel bad. And I am painfully sad that he has been living alone for so long. And I know what it is: I have been a widow for 20 years, my family is my daughters (by the way, a pianist and future singer).

2015-03-15 00:57:07

Elena (St. Petersburg)

Everyone knows his songs. Wherever you hear it, you immediately begin to sing along. But where are the new songs? He has such a modern studio and spends so much time in it.

2015-03-14 21:05:05

As a person Antonov is complex, but as a composer he is simply brilliant. Just try to name at least a few good songs some composer. And Yuri Antonov can immediately recall about twenty, if not more. Talent!

2015-03-05 21:39:00

I want to feel sorry for him like a mother.

Every song created by Yuri Mikhailovich is a hit, it is a hymn of love, a hymn to a woman, a hymn to the Motherland! The fact that he hasn’t written new songs for almost twenty years, but still sells out shows, shows that he is a genius!!! Live longer, make us happy with your brilliant creativity!

Good music, wonderful songs. And for so many years they have sounded and cannot get tired of them. In my opinion, the best performance of all songs is only by Yuri Antonov. I understand that Yu.M. is more interested in the opinion of young people, but his songs are my youth and I always enjoy listening to them. And dogs are great. But geese bite. But what shocked me most about the article about Yu.M. was his love for buying jackets. Killed him outright. How consonant. Thanks again for the wonderful songs.

2012-11-21 19:59:48

I really like Antonov's songs, one of them best performers our country. Such soulful songs, kind, positive. About 10 hits that still delight listeners.

Yuri Mikhailovich Antonov. Born on February 19, 1945 in Tashkent. Soviet and Russian composer, pop singer, poet, actor. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1997).

In the summer of 1944, his father, Mikhail Vasilyevich Antonov, an officer who fought in a separate marine brigade during the war, came to Tashkent on leave. And in the capital of Uzbekistan, his wife Natalya lived in evacuation.

After the end of the Great Patriotic War, his father remained to serve in the military administration of Berlin, where his sister Zhanna was born in 1948.

After completing his service in the GDR, his father was transferred to Belarus, where he served in various military garrisons. Then the Antonov family ends up in the small Belarusian city of Molodechno, where the father is transferred to the military commissariat. In this city it begins musical activity Yuri Antonov: his mother takes him to a music school, after which Yuri enters the Molodechno Music School to study folk instruments.

As a child, he was seriously ill with polio; according to the singer, “I couldn’t walk for about six months.” Despite illnesses in childhood, the singer was quite a hooligan, like most local boys, he learned to defend his rights in fist fights.

He begins his career at the age of 14, working as a choir director at a depot and receiving 60 rubles for it.

His musical taste was formed under the influence of jazz classics and bands The Beatles, so Antonov soon makes an attempt to create his first ensemble. Only they never saw saxophones or bass guitars in Molodechnya; they had to imitate jazz melodies on folk instruments, but Antonov went to Vilnius to get sheet music.

During his student years he organized his first Music band- a pop orchestra that performs at the local city House of Culture.

In 1963, after graduating from music school, Yuri Antonov was assigned as a music teacher to a children's music school in Minsk, where his parents already lived at that time. Then he works as a soloist-instrumentalist at the Belarusian State Philharmonic.

In November 1964 he was drafted into the ranks Soviet army. After finishing his service, he returns to his native Philharmonic and works as the musical director of the Tonika ensemble of People's Artist of the Belarusian SSR Viktor Vuyachich. During this Minsk period of creativity, at one time the guitarist in Yuri Antonov’s team was Vladimir Mulyavin, who then came from Sverdlovsk, replacing the guitarist in the ensemble, family circumstances left for Moscow.

In 1969, Yuri Antonov was invited to work in the popular Leningrad VIA "Singing Guitars" as an instrumental keyboardist. In this band he becomes a vocalist for the first time. The first songs by Yu. Antonov, “Airport”, “Where is the courage?” were also performed here. to the words of the poet Albert Azizov, “About good fellows and red maidens”, “Stop, don’t shoot, soldier!” to the words of the poet Oleg Zhukov, “If you love” to the words of the poet Leonid Derbenev, but his song “There is no more beautiful you” to the words of the Leningrad authors Irina Bezladnova (wrote the original version of the song, of two verses) brings particular popularity to the ensemble and Yuri Antonov himself and Mikhail Belyakov (completed the third verse) performed by the ensemble's soloist Evgeniy Bronevitsky, released on an EP by the Melodiya company in 1971.

In the spring of 1970 he moved to Moscow. Works as a soloist-vocalist in the popular VIA "Good Fellows", then in the Sovremennik orchestra under the direction of Anatoly Kroll (1971-1975) (former Eddie Rosner orchestra), director of the ensemble at the Moscow Music Hall, artistic director of the VIA Magistral at the Moscow Regional Philharmonic (1975-1977), at the All-Union Company recordings "Melody" (1977-1983).

In 1973, Melodiya released the first EP by Yuri Antonov and the Sovremennik orchestra with the songs “The Third Day” (lyrics by Pavel Leonidov) (on another version of the disc, instead of it, there is the song “Don’t be sad, please” (lyrics by Onegin Gadzhikasimov)) , “Well, what should we do with him?” (words by Leonid Derbenev), “At the birches and pines” (words by Igor Shaferan). In 1975, VIA “Good fellows” and Yuri Antonov at the Melodiya company recorded an EP with his songs “Why”, “No, not me”, “The current carries me”, and VIA “Magistral” (p/u Yu . Antonov) - an EP with Yu. Antonov’s songs “Why” and “Forget.”

In the repertoire VIA "Jolly Guys" the first recordings of Yuri Antonov’s songs “If you love” and “Well, what to do with him” (both to the words of L. Derbenev) (1973), “Why” (to the words of T. Sashko) (1974), “Meeting” ( to the words of V. Dunin) (1978).

Yuri Antonov's songs are heard in the repertoire of various VIAs of the 70s - early 80s: VIA "Singing Hearts" - "Indian Summer", VIA "Akvareli" - "Red Summer", group "Earthlings" - " Garden Ring road", "If I'm wrong", "If you want to be smarter", "Believe in your dream", VIA "Red Poppies" - "Mirror". A popular pop singer in the 70s performed Yu. Antonov’s songs “I sing for you”, “How is it so”, “Our highway”, and popular singer- songs “Your Destiny”, “White Snowstorm”, “Rainbow”. Yuri Antonov's songs are already widely known, but the path to television is closed. And with the artistic councils at the Melodiya company, not everything is so simple - many of Antonov’s songs are not allowed for publication. The reason is not a member of the Composers' Union.

In 1980, Yuri Antonov and a rock band "Araks" prepared an LP split, which, however, was not approved by the artistic council for publication by the Melodiya company. Then the singer published songs of his own performance from this album on several EPs, the release of which was much easier to negotiate, later these songs were included in the 1983 album “The Roof of Your House”, and the remaining songs, performed by the soloists of “Araks”, were released in 1987 year on the giant disk by Yu. Antonov From sadness to joy.

Yuri Antonov - The roof of your house

Collaboration with the Araks group in 1979-1981 brought Antonov all-Union fame. Three EPs with the songs "Anastasia" (lyrics by Leonid Fadeev), "Mirror" (lyrics by Mikhail Tanich), "Golden Staircase" (lyrics by M. Vickers), "To You" (lyrics by Lev Oshanin), " I remember" (words by Leonid Fadeev), "Don't forget" (words by Mikhail Tanich), "My wealth" (words by Igor Kokhanovsky), "Life", "Road to the Sea", "Twenty Years Later", as well as two records - EP with the songs “Poppies”, “Sea”, “That’s How It Happens”, “The Roof of Your House”, “Native Places”, “Our Highway”, recorded with other musicians, sold over 20 million copies, making it one of the most popular artists in USSR.

In 1982-1983 he became best singer USSR in the “Soundtrack” hit parade. The Odessa Film Studio invites the composer to include many of these songs in the film “Take Care of Women” (1981), in which songs performed by the author and specially written for the film - “Take care of women” (words by L. Fadeev), “Life” (words by O. Zhukov), “Everything has its time” (words by I. Reznik). Subsequently, Yu. Antonov also wrote songs for the films “Before We Part” (1984), “Beauty Salon” (1985), “Order” (1987), “Predators” (1991), music for the film “Fools Die on Fridays” "(1990).

In 1981, in the finals of the All-Union competition for young performers “Golden Tuning Fork”, according to the results of a vote of television viewers, first place was taken by the aspiring singer Katya Semyonova with Antonov’s song “Ah, Spring”.

Yuri Antonov's first big album was released in 1981 in Yugoslavia by Jugoton. Subsequently, his records were released in other countries of the socialist community - in the GDR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Cuba.

In 1983, Yuri Antonov became a soloist of the Chechen-Ingush Philharmonic, where he worked for three years and becomes friends with Makhmud Esambaev. In the same year he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Works closely with VIA "Blue Bird", participates in joint tours. The result of the collaboration is the giant disc Blue Bird at the Luzhniki Sports Palace with songs by Yuri Antonov performed by the ensemble “White Motor Ship”, “I’m coming to meet you halfway”, “Colored sounds”, “Take care of women” and others.

Yuri Antonov - White motor ship

The Melodiya company releases Yuri Antonov's first giant disc, The Roof of Your House, with songs that were released a little earlier on Antonov's five minions with Araks and others instrumental ensemble. In the same year, together with the poet Mikhail Plyatskovsky, Yuri Antonov, the first and second parts of the children's musical about the grasshopper Kuzy were written - The Adventures of the Grasshopper Kuzy and the New Adventures of the Grasshopper Kuzy (2 giant discs), including a very famous song of which “The roof of your house.” With her, Yu. Antonov for the first time reached the final of the television festival “Song of the Year” (1983).

In the CT television program “Wider Circle” in 1983, Yuri Antonov presents his new song“Wider Circle” with lyrics by Leonid Fadeev, which became the title song of the TV festival for many years. This song was performed by VIA “Blue Bird”.

In 1984, the singer, after much persuasion from his friend, film director Alexander Kosarev, starred in his film “Before We Part” in the role of the artist Ryzhikov. Helps Kosarev in filming - according to eyewitnesses, he is a co-author of many of the lines of the characters in this film. In the same year, for the second time, she reached the finals of the “Song of the Year” television festival with the song “Bullfinches” based on poems by M. In 1985-1986 he travels to Finland, where the company Polarvox Music records and releases the giant disc My Favorite Songs with thirteen previously written songs and the EP Yuri with three also previously written songs, but in completely different arrangements and translated into English language. The new English-language lyrics of these songs are in no way connected with the main, Russian-language versions of the text: the song “The Roof of Your House” becomes “Look at Their Faces”, the song “Vacation” becomes “I Send to You My Love”, the song “And life goes on as usual” "becomes "Ridin" into the Darkness" (English texts by E. Kaartamo).

In the mid-1980s he began working at the Mosconcert as a soloist-vocalist. At the Luzhniki Stadium, at the closing ceremony of the Goodwill Games, Yuri Antonov performs a song specially written for this, “The World Depends on Us,” with lyrics by V. Sautkin.
