Yuri was born on February 19, 1945 in Tashkent into a military family. His father, Mikhail Vasilyevich Antonov, fought in a separate marine brigade during the war. Antonov lived in the city on the Neva for about a year and a half. Then his creative relationship with “Singing Guitars” ceased and he was forced to look for a new place of work. But where? But, despite the hostility of his venerable colleagues, Antonov lived well in the 80s. His concert rate was 30 rubles, but the administrators paid him another 400 unofficially. Plus, 15 thousand rubles were transferred monthly to his account at VAAP. Where does this money come from? For example, Melodiya released an EP with his songs with a circulation of several million copies.

Since this all started. The artist found the shout offensive; he interrupted the song mid-sentence and demanded that the author of the line apologize and go backstage. The musicians also followed him. Then they took the stage again, performed several instrumental pieces, and then the performance ended. Antonov did not deign to sing anymore. Everyone says that Antonov’s “own goal” has been brewing for a long time. He clearly cannot stand the test of fame. This is not the first time that his prime ministerial habits have been noticed. When he goes on tour, he demands increased attention: personally assigned car of a popular model, more luxurious hotel apartments. But what’s even worse is that he makes tactless statements from the stage to the audience.

For some reason, Antonov is especially irritated by the age of the audience. Concerts with his participation attract many people who are already over 30 and even over 40. Readers from Nikopol sent an issue of Nikopolskaya Pravda, which talked about how the artist forbade the newspaper’s photojournalist to take his photographs, citing the fact that the portraits would be “launched” for sale among the population. The newspaper “Soviet Youth” (October 11, 1986) wrote about the more than strange speech of Yu. Antonov in Riga. A reader from the Moscow region, G. The only print media that stood up for the artist in those days was the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. Correspondent A. Roslyakov wrote in the article “And the viewer was punished”: “The singer made a mistake. After a loud shout, he left the audience and was unable to return to the stage; he did not finish singing exactly 18 minutes of his hour and a half program... The orchestra behaved decorously, and did not want to react to his performance. And those who really needed him, Yuri Antonov, who stood in line for tickets, sat far away.

And the singer allowed himself to reproach half-jokingly that it is not easy to perform when in the first rows are those whose tickets for the concert are brought directly to the office. And the punishment did not take long to arrive - at the next concert, a loud voice was heard: “Hack worker!”

Antonov asks to remove the loudmouths from the hall, but no one responds to this. And then he leaves on his own.

His tour was cut short and he was asked to clean out the hotel.

But Antonov did not immediately give up. On March 7, the day after the incident, he came with the ensemble to the Sports Palace, on which there was already a notice about the cancellation of concerts “due to the unworthy behavior of Yu. Antonov.” We have an agreement, the singer said, no one has terminated it, the audience is waiting for us, we will perform. But serious barriers awaited the spectators with orders not to let anyone in. Antonov and the ensemble still managed to break into the hall. We changed our clothes and went on stage. The administrator of the ensemble announced through a megaphone: the concert will take place. But someone, just to be on the safe side, turned off the electricity in the Palace. Thanks to the concerted efforts of security guards, the concert was disrupted. Antonov flew away, the ensemble remained to guard the equipment...”

However, the article in Komsomolskaya Pravda turned out to be a voice crying in the desert. And on April 16, the official response of Mosconcert director K. Bulgakov to the article “What the audience was offended by” appeared in “Soviet Culture.” It reported: “For unethical behavior at a concert in the Sports Palace of the city of Kuibyshev on March 6, 1987, comrade. Antonov Yu.M. He was severely reprimanded and suspended from participating in foreign trips for a period of six months.”.

And what about Antonov himself? This is how he explained what was happening in an interview with the newspaper “Voice”: “The case in Kuibyshev is simply unique. And at the same time typical. At one of the concerts the audience did not like my performance. But this was not an ordinary spectator, but the party and bureaucratic elite. What most upset me then was the behavior of some journalists. The massive attack on Antonov from the pages of the central press ended only after the singer himself took decisive action. Together with the poet Oleg Vilenkin, they wrote a letter addressed to him and took it to Old Square- Central Committee of the CPSU. 90s

The beginning of the 90s was for Antonov a period of some oblivion on the part of his listeners. Most of the new “stars” turned out to be completely untenable professionally and the public demanded their former idols. And, of course, Yuri Antonov returned to the stage. In 1995, he was finally accepted as a member of the Union of Composers. However, the number of his envious people did not decrease after that, but even vice versa. Personal life

Until the summer of 1997, Antonov lived in Moscow in a two-room apartment in the Vorontsov Ponds area. He lived alone, having divorced his third wife several years earlier. He later explained his loneliness this way: “I've been married three times. And I've had enough. Almost all of my friends dream of quickly sailing away from what is called a quiet family haven. Women with character don't interest me at all. Let the character be shown somewhere on the side, away from me. Normal woman should be soft and flexible. If a man brings money into a house, then there cannot be two heads in it. You need to respect the man and adapt to him. And if this is not the case, then the family ends. There are many women who I like from a distance: they are very individual and independent. You can be friends, communicate: “Hello - hello!” But close - no, goodbye. These are probably magnificent lovers and wonderful friends. But not wives...".

Note that all three ex-wives Antonov moved abroad: one to New York, another to Zagreb, the third to Paris. Antonov's first wife was called Anastasia, the second was Miroslava, and the third was Anna. Anna gave Yuri Mikhailovich children - daughter Lyudmila and son Mikhail.

In the summer of 1997, Antonov finally completed the construction of a three-story mansion in Peredelkino. It was built by Turkish craftsmen for about a year and a half. own project Antonov. I buy practically nothing in Moscow. Everything is abroad. I go into the store, whatever I like is what I take. Most of all I love buying jackets. I have a huge number of them hanging in my closet. Different colors. I only wear them rarely, mostly just admiring them. This lifts the mood...

I part with money quite easily when it comes to purchasing any equipment for the studio. Apart from that, I spend money on perfumes. And first I’ll buy some eau de toilette, and then I figure out whether her scent suits me or not...

Politics is a flexible concept. I’m not going to hang around the podium defending the interests of any movement. But I have other options. For example, I personally know the President of Belarus. He is an honest, decent person. And all his motives and thoughts are aimed at uniting the Slavic peoples, which I fully share.”

In 1997, Yu. Antonov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. At the same time, a slab with his name was laid on the “Square of Stars” near the Central Concert Hall “Russia” in Moscow.

In the summer of 1944, his father, Mikhail Vasilyevich Antonov, an officer who fought in a separate marine brigade during the war, came to Tashkent on leave. And in the capital of Uzbekistan, his wife Natalya lived in evacuation.

After the end of the Great Patriotic War, his father remained to serve in the military administration of Berlin, where his sister Zhanna was born in 1948.

After completing his service in the GDR, his father was transferred to Belarus, where he served in various military garrisons. Then the Antonov family ends up in the small Belarusian city of Molodechno, where the father is transferred to the military commissariat. In this city it begins musical activity Yuri Antonov: his mother takes him to a music school, after which Yuri enters the Molodechno Music School to study folk instruments.

His musical taste was formed under the influence of jazz classics and bands The Beatles, so Antonov soon makes an attempt to create his first ensemble. Only they never saw saxophones or bass guitars in Molodechnya; they had to imitate jazz melodies on folk instruments, but Antonov went to Vilnius to get sheet music.

During his student years he organized his first Music band- a pop orchestra that performs at the local city House of Culture.

In 1963, after graduating from music school, Yuri Antonov was assigned as a music teacher to a children's music school in Minsk, where his parents already lived at that time. Then he works as a soloist-instrumentalist at the Belarusian State Philharmonic.

In November 1964 he was drafted into the ranks Soviet army. After finishing his service, he returns to his native Philharmonic and works as the musical director of the Tonika ensemble of People's Artist of the Belarusian SSR Viktor Vuyachich. In the spring of 1970 he moved to Moscow. Works as a soloist-vocalist in the popular VIA "Good Fellows", then in the Sovremennik orchestra under the direction of Anatoly Kroll (1971-1975) (former Eddie Rosner orchestra), director of the ensemble at the Moscow Music Hall, artistic director of the VIA Magistral at the Moscow Regional Philharmonic (1975-1977), at the All-Union Company recordings "Melody" (1977-1983).

In 1980, Yuri Antonov and a rock band "Araks" prepared an LP split, which, however, was not approved by the artistic council for publication by the Melodiya company. Then the singer published songs of his own performance from this album on several EPs, the release of which was much easier to negotiate, later these songs were included in the 1983 album “The Roof of Your House”, and the remaining songs, performed by the soloists of “Araks”, were released in 1987 year on the giant disk by Yu. Collaboration with the Araks group in 1979-1981 brought Antonov all-Union fame. Three EPs with the songs "Anastasia" (lyrics by Leonid Fadeev), "Mirror" (lyrics by Mikhail Tanich), "Golden Staircase" (lyrics by M. In 1981, in the finals of the All-Union competition for young performers “Golden Tuning Fork”, according to the results of a vote of television viewers, first place was taken by the aspiring singer Katya Semyonova with Antonov’s song “Ah, Spring”.

Yuri Antonov's first big album was released in 1981 in Yugoslavia by Jugoton. Subsequently, his records were released in other countries of the socialist community - in the GDR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Cuba.

In 1983, Yuri Antonov became a soloist of the Chechen-Ingush Philharmonic, where he worked for three years and becomes friends with Makhmud Esambaev. In the same year he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Works closely with VIA "Blue Bird", participates in joint tours. The result of the collaboration is the giant disc Blue Bird at the Luzhniki Sports Palace with songs by Yuri Antonov performed by the ensemble “White Motor Ship”, “I’m coming to meet you halfway”, “Colored sounds”, “Take care of women” and others.

In the same year, a scandal occurred, after which Yuri Antonov was removed from almost all television broadcasts for two years: at one of his concerts in the city of Kuibyshev, the artist allowed himself incorrect statements about regional-level leaders, as a result of which the artist’s next concert was disrupted by them, which subsequently began persecution of Antonov in the Soviet media.

The beginning of a creative journey

In 1963, the young man received a diploma of education after graduating from a music school. According to the distribution, it falls into educational school music teacher in Minsk. His parents also lived there in those years.

A year later, the singer moved to live and work in the Chechen-Ingush SSR. There he worked as a soloist in the local philharmonic.
