The Belgorod Philharmonic, which according to the latest data is included in the ranking of the country's leading concert organizations, - a place where large and small musical groups, soloists from Russia and the world, professionals and music lovers unite. Classics and jazz, modern youth projects and academic music coexist here. It is surprising that in such a small city, whose population is not even four hundred thousand inhabitants, its own culture of listening to music has developed, its own performers and composers, musicologists and music researchers have appeared.

One of the main assets of the Philharmonic is musical projects aimed at involving listeners of all ages. In 2016-2017 The range of festivals held at philharmonic venues has expanded.

It’s funny to say, but 5 years ago I considered an invitation to go to a concert at the Philharmonic to be a dubious pleasure. And now I can hardly imagine what it’s like not to listen to classical music performed live!?

Two and a half years of work at the Philharmonic greatly changed my attitude towards classical, folk, brass, choral and pop art, introduced me to the work of classical and contemporary composers, and gave me the opportunity to hear live many world-famous musicians and soloists, famous groups.

Therefore, as soon as the Belgorod Philharmonic presented 23 subscription programs for the next season on its website, I immediately went to study them. By the way, until April 24, there are discounts of up to 25% on subscriptions. And on April 23, from 15:00, presentations of concert programs of soloists and groups will be held in the Great and Organ Halls.

I note that the next concert season of the Philharmonic is 2016-2017. - anniversary. The region's main concert venue is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. This means that fans of classical, folk, brass, and jazz music can expect large-scale festivals, vibrant concert programs, meeting new artists and meetings with Belgorod residents’ favorite musicians.

Are there those here who have not yet understood the system of Philharmonic subscriptions and do not understand why they are needed at all? I'm telling you! (Warning, a lot of text!)

I attended an organ concert for the first time in my life. I have never heard such a loud and melodic organ sound. Timur is a professional in his field! He masterfully performed famous works on such an instrument.

Marina — 04/08/2015

Today the Philharmonic performed at school No. 11 with a military theme. The price for tickets is 150 rubles, and previously 120 rubles, have they become more expensive? And the artists are not Philharmonic, they passed off as the Philharmonic - it’s a scam, you need to figure it out...

Elena – 02/08/2014

Julia, I can’t help but respond to your review. It’s all completely untrue - the actors’ makeup was excellent, we could even see it from afar, the characters had a hint of the Olympics, but were not Olympic at all, the word “Olympics” was never even mentioned! Santa Claus had both a mustache and a beard. And lastly, if you decided that the final song was about evil, then you only watched half of the performance. Our children really enjoyed the performance. Good luck to you!

Rimma – 03-01-2014

I dream of going to an organ music concert. The building and interior are amazing!

Yulia — 01/02/2014

HELLO. I watched the New Year's performance 2014 with my child. HACK. The costumes were put together, as they say, what happened. The Olympic characters are hardly recognizable, a donkey, an evil tiger cat, someone with round ears. The actors had no makeup. Santa Claus - without a mustache with burgundy face. The climax is a song about how EVIL will win!! The child cried with fear!! GONE.

Evgeniy — 30-10-2012

There are many shortcomings in the building, like the cultural center of our city, but there is little smell of culture. Why they made a wardrobe downstairs is still not clear. Ticket prices are very high, but here, so to speak, there is no money - don’t go. And recently, we booked tickets for October 15th, when we arrived at the box office we were told that they were accidentally given to the wrong people, also with the same name. We had to buy a ticket for 3000 rubles, the cashier never came to meet us, the old ones were 2200 rubles.

Lyudmila — 10/24/2012

It’s a beautiful building both outside and inside. But the fact that there isn’t a single chair or banquette in the foyer where you can sit while waiting for friends cancels everything out. It’s painful to watch how elderly women stand in the foyer with a cane and look for something to lean on or sitting on the cold steps in front of the Philharmonic and an even sadder sight is when they barely climb these high steps from the cloakroom with a cane to the balcony. True, they say that there is an elevator somewhere, but no one could show it. It’s a shame for these elderly people who, because of this, will not be able to attend such wonderful concerts.

Tatyana — 09/21/2012

Yesterday I was at the Philharmonic at the concert “Organists of German Cathedrals”. By the way, the winner of international competitions, Wolfgang Abendroth, spoke. I admire the performer, the concert is good. But the organization spoiled the impression. Firstly, for some reason, towards the end of the performance, the assistant who was turning over the music book disappeared somewhere. As a result, Wolfgang was forced to flip through his own sheet music and play the organ at the same time, which is not easy, given the specifics of the instrument. Secondly, some kind of indistinct game happened with the lighting in the hall. During the performance, the main light was first dimmed, the blue backlight was turned on, at the end, the backlight was removed for the duration of applause, and the main light was turned on. This is how it should be in general. However, for some reason, in the end, all these manipulations with light were apparently considered unnecessary, and the works were performed in full light. And at the end of the concert, when Wolfgang expressed a desire to communicate with the audience, who called him for an encore, of course, he did it in his native German. However, for some reason, there was no translator assigned to him. What exactly he wanted to convey to the viewer, one can only guess, unless of course you speak German. Well, as far as I know, when an artist of this level, and indeed of any level, is invited, it is customary for him to organize the presentation of flowers after the concert. This is done at the expense of the inviting organization, in case none of the spectators donate bouquets. The Philharmonic didn’t worry about this either. So I’m wondering if Wolfgang will still want to come to Belgorod or will he prefer another city? Although Belgorod is a regional center, the organization of this and similar events is sometimes worse than in some run-down general store. That's why this is so, dear Belgorod residents?

Anna -08/21/2012 — 08/21/2012

Yesterday's incident (08/20/2012) forced me to leave a review. A young man and I were sitting on a bench on the territory of the Philharmonic, (which is not at all prohibited), a security guard came up to us and warned that there were cameras installed there and that we should behave civilly, we took this into account, although we were a little surprised by this, we just sat and We were talking, after which a man immediately approached without introducing himself, began talking in a raised tone, threatening that everything was being recorded on camera, and that everything we were doing here he would post on YouTube tomorrow. I was shocked, I tried to enter into a dialogue with him, but he he started talking and gesticulating even louder, and the smell of alcohol came from him, the young man and I were about to leave and then the guard came up again and started talking behind the cameras again, I asked who the man was, and it turned out to be the head of security, I asked why they at the workplace they are intoxicated, the security guard did not answer anything, he simply walked away! I have long wanted to visit the Philharmonic, but after this, I made certain conclusions! And I hope the administration will take appropriate measures regarding the “valiant” security!

Natalie – 10/31/2011

Firstly (not at the address, but about a sore point), it’s a shame that the children were kicked out of the recreation center. Having studied in this building as a child for 10 years, coming here now, I hoped to at least somehow justify this act of the city authorities. Perhaps that’s why I can’t objectively assess the feasibility of financial investments. I can’t say that the inside is very chic and worth it. Normal renovation (why wasn’t it done before? Not good for children?), nice, chandeliers, the design of the hall is suitable, you can see it well was (from the 5th row).
But in some places, as the Zheleznodorozhnikov Palace of Culture used to be, it remains the same. The dressing room itself is locked in a room into which it is not even possible to enter after the concert, because It’s cramped and stuffy. Having decided after the concert to wait out those eager to quickly push through, we went to the Melodiya cafe to drink tea, where the cloakroom teacher soon came running, saying, ah-ah-ah, who’s naughty here, we need to pick up our things first, and then sit down. The cafe itself does not have much variety. And the interior! Any Soviet cultural center would have coveted the curtains and tablecloths)) It’s clear that they tried, but in some places it turned out to be rustic with Soviet service.
