Well, of course, in the last year of classes at a children's sports school. Why? Because this year will determine your condition, the level of a football player.

What you guys and your parents definitely need to know. First of all, remember it doesn’t really matter what school you play football at. Yes, it’s good if you are at a Dynamo or Shakhtar school or sports boarding school. Of course, the conditions for classes there are much better than in schools in small towns. But, believe me, this is not so important. It is important that you have those football skills, the ability that would allow you to move on. There are a lot of examples where guys from small towns, unknown teams, ended up in professional football.

Remember one more important postulate. If you don’t play in your children’s team in the first team, this is also not a reason to hang up your boots and forget about your dream.

So, how do you assess your capabilities? First, make this assessment yourself first. For example, rate your football capabilities using a five-point system:

How can a young football player get an audition for one or another team of masters? His childhood coach may recommend him. But honestly, this happens so rarely. It can be seen by selectors of masters teams at various tournaments and cups. But again. I will say from what actually exists, we have very few selectors in the masters teams, and many teams simply do not have them. This is a huge disadvantage of our football. So, it’s better not to rely on these comrades.

There is an option, friends of friends, etc. But, you see, not many people have this option, or rather, many simply don’t have it. Therefore, it is best to find a football agent for your child. There are many examples of young guys signing employment contracts for good salaries, and two years later, when these teams no longer needed them, they simply could not get a job anywhere. Because their level of play does not correspond to their transfer amount. And by the way, this is not that the football player is bad, he is simply not yet ripe for another level. We must understand that every young football player achieves high level individually. Some very early, some a little later. Therefore, choosing an agent is a very responsible and serious step.

Choosing a future team where you will have to go for a tryout is a very important step. For graduates of sports schools, the best way to continue improving their skills is, of course, the double team of the Major League. Why? Because it is the fastest and most real chance immediately play in the Major League, bypassing the lower football divisions. Getting into the Major League from first or second division teams is very, very difficult. If you didn’t get into any doubles, then it’s best to start with a second division team. Personally, I think that at the age of 17 - 18 there is nothing to do in a first division team, unless of course you are so talented, or there is simply a coach who will trust you and believe in you. Believe me, this happens very rarely. As a rule, coaches of first league teams are very reluctant to trust young footballers to play in the lineup or often substitute. Twenty-three years old is still a young age for them. Then your age, for them, is just childish. And you understand, the most important thing at your age is to play. You can train as much as you like, it won’t be of much use if you don’t play. That is precisely why the double and the second league are preferable to the first league. If you stand out in your position in the reserves or in the second league, you will have a real chance to move to a team in the first division, where you will not sit on the bank or not get into the squad, but play.

Many young football players, when they get into the master team, the reserve team or the second league, consider that the job is done. For some reason, most people start love stories, whirlwind romances. And in my head, there is only love and sex. I'm not against all this, that's understandable. But, often, for some reason, for the majority, all these relationships really interfere. My opinion, serious relationship you need to start it at twenty or a little later. When will there be more or less some clarity with your football career? Money appears and immediately many begin to play tricks. They often go to nightclubs, drink, etc. I do not recommend doing this in large quantities. In my opinion, the second league or double is not football yet. This is just the beginning of the journey. Please understand, football is a very delicate thing. There is a saying: “It’s not enough to know how to play football, you need to find your coach and your team.”

You can play for the reserve team all season in the first team, but you won’t be able to make it to the first team. But it may even happen that you won’t get into the second league. There can be a lot of reasons why you played for the reserve team. And to play in the second league, you need to really play. Unfortunately, our doubles now are just some kind of football kindergarten. Both the level of the team and the nature of the game are very different from the level of the game and precisely the character, from the second league.

There is one more important aspect why many guys quickly end up playing professional football. Many people somehow get the feeling that they are in in perfect order, but they are stifled and not objectively assessed. Such an element of internal star fever. Be realistic about yourself, evaluate your game critically. There are always flaws in the game.

You can join all teams by invitation only. In order for a player to be noticed, he needs to demonstrate himself to the maximum in various online and LAN tournaments, play only with the strongest opponents and show real determination. At this stage, the Virtus.pro team has three main rosters in the DOTA 2 disciplines (Defense of the Ancient), World of Tanks and Starcraft 2. The selection of any player for one of our teams always takes place in three stages. First: management, together with the team captain and its core, decide on recruitment or the start of the test period. Second: specific players are identified who, according to professional criteria, could potentially suit the team. Third: a full “test” of each of these players. If a player really suits the team and everyone wants to continue playing with him, the management appoints a final probation, at the end of which a decision is made to accept the player into the base.

But to do this, you need to go from an ordinary “amateur” to one of the strongest players, at least in your country, and this can be very difficult. Therefore, it is better to first weigh everything, evaluate your chances, try and, in case of insurmountable difficulties or prolonged stagnation, simply move into other areas, follow more understandable and well-trodden paths.

In eSports you can become a real legend and star. With the current pace of development in the field, I would not be surprised if in 3–5 years the stars computer games will be nationally known Olympiad champions with great financial support.

However, before you start reading, you need to understand something. E-sports, at the time of writing this article, has virtually nothing in common with regular sports. Thus, eSports in Russia is not recognized as an official sport, there is no federation, there are no sections or schools, and the procedure for getting into it is vague. That is, now there is no practice where you go to some section, they teach you there, you show results, become one of the best and you are invited to a team or national team. All this does not exist, but it does exist in ordinary sports.

Getting into eSports is completely different, in principle, more prosaic and in a simple way, however, you will have to do absolutely everything yourself. Below, in a few simple points, the path of almost any modern eSports player is described. This mini-guide is written for Dota 2 players, although it is probably true for any other team discipline.

So:

1) You need to be able to play really well (it seems logical, but this point is mandatory and the most important. Many people write to me that they would like to break into e-sports, but as the conversation progresses, it turns out that their experience in the game is at most a couple of years and they have played less than 1000 hours , With such numbers, of course, you will never get anywhere)

2) You need to have a team of guys who can play really well, or at least strive to do so. Recruiting a team is a painstaking and difficult task, so I would advise everyone to start with a small stack of two people (preferably three). This will be the so-called core of the team, from which you can already build on when recruiting people for necessary roles. No matter how things turn out, you will always have this backbone - this is important, because one is not a warrior in the field. You can look for players for the team anywhere: on forums, in public, in the yard, it doesn’t matter, good players can be found anywhere. Building a strong team is usually not a quick process, so be patient.

3) As soon as you have a team, you need to go and register for open tournaments for everyone, of which there are now a lot of events being held on the Internet. You can easily find out about them from news portals like virtus.pro, you can use Google, search through well-known Dota sites and forums. In general, if you have the desire, then it won’t be difficult to find such tournaments, although you can start with the Khovansky “Crayfish Cup”, it doesn’t matter.

4) If you did everything right, you know how to play Dota really well, and your team does it not much worse, then you should have taken some good place in an open tournament for everyone, because really strong teams they are not registered there. True, it is also unlikely that you will win the first time; this rarely happens, although if you are very talented, then anything can happen.

So, as soon as you shine a couple of times at such tournaments, consider yourself already in eSports, although not in the highest league. Then you can go to tournaments of a higher rank, which are held by invitation, and poke everyone in the face with your results. Believe me, if you poke actively, they will definitely take you somewhere to play. There are a huge number of invite tournaments, and very often they hold small qualifiers for several slots - this is basically your chance.

Again, there are many such tournaments, there is a lot of news about them, and all you need is to have a team with at least some achievements and contact the tournament organizers in time. Also, of course, don’t ignore league-based tournaments (such as StarLadder or ESL); as a rule, such leagues consist of divisions. First you will have to play in the weakest, but again, if you followed the first two points, then in the very near future you will rise to the highest division, and this is BIG ESPORTS, so to speak.

5) You will definitely need a person who will constantly search for all these tournaments on the Internet and register you there. Usually such people are proudly called managers, but to be honest, this can be done by absolutely any member of the team who is really interested in breaking into this ill-fated e-sports.

6) After you have achieved significant success in various tournaments, most likely, some organization will contact you and offer cooperation. If this does not happen, then you yourself need to contact an organization and request its support.
