Andrey Aber is a writer from Barnaul. He's interested different creativity, from graphics and painting to sculpture. Marat Morik is a street artist and designer from Novosibirsk. Several years ago, together with Andrey, he founded the graffiti agency FGA.

Savior on Spilled Blood

In the courtyard on Ligovsky Prospekt lives Assol, who finally waited for the ship with scarlet sails. Looking into one of the courtyards on Italianskaya Street, you can practically find yourself in Rome. The central wall of the house is decorated with a huge Colosseum. Even the sky and clouds are drawn on the wall, which makes the picture look very realistic. The walls of the Colosseum are entwined with real branches of ivy and other living plants. An orange tree grows near the graffiti and there is a small fountain. The side walls are painted in the style of Italian houses. Victor Tsoi

Crossing the street Vosstaniya, 8 and st. Mayakovsky, 5

The HoodGraffTeam graffiti team painted a portrait of Viktor Tsoi on the wall of a transformer substation in a courtyard in the city center. At first, the authorities wanted to paint over the image because it was not authorized, but then they decided to leave the drawing intact. Tsoi's portrait appeared here before the 24th anniversary of the musician's death - August 15, 1990.

The courtyards on Marata Street are completely covered with graffiti. The brightest courtyard is near house No. 16. Here the walls of the houses are decorated from top to bottom with colorful inscriptions and drawings. Until recently, the most entertaining image was a crazy face on a garage door. A few days ago, a new graffiti appeared here that eclipsed all others - this is a portrait of rapper Dr. Dre. The drawing, several meters in size, looks more like a photograph. The rapper was depicted on the wall by a team of artists, HoodGraffTeam, led by the popular St. Petersburg graffiti photographer Alexander Mavrin.

Skaters

St. Vvedenskaya, 9

On Vvedenskaya Street there is a large area with equipment for skaters. To inspire them to try new feints and tricks, skaters were depicted flying over St. Petersburg on the walls of houses around the site. They soar among the clouds, leaving Peter and Paul Fortress beneath them, Winter Palace and the colorful Neva. There weren't any skaters in the yard when this photo was taken. Borodino

St. Red Kursant, 8

This image appeared in the park on the Petrograd side two years ago, in honor of the bicentenary of the Battle of Borodino. Several years ago, the paint was peeling off the wall of house No. 8 and the plaster was crumbling. Now it has not only been restored, but turned into an exhibit art gallery. On the wall there is a picture of the Arc de Triomphe, through which our soldiers passed. On the sides of the arch are portraits of Alexander I and Kutuzov. Not far from the house with graffiti on the wall is a former engineering school. Kutuzov studied there and then taught.
