James "Jimmy" Carr was born on 15 September 1972 in Isleworth, West London, England to Irish Limerick parents: Patrick James Carr (born 1945), an accountant who became treasurer at the computer company Unisys, and Nora Mary ( née Lawlor, September 19, 1943 – September 7, 2001).
