By chance, Ariel finds a music box that was once given to her mother by her father. She, along with Sebastian, wants to go back and remind her father that Athena would never allow the music to fade away in the kingdom. They get in the way of Marina, who does not want to lose her position. King Triton sees the malice of his adviser and repents that he did this to his old friends, daughters and inhabitants of the sea. Music returns to the kingdom, Sebastian the crab receives the position of court composer, Ariel, Flounder and the rest of the sea people rejoice and prosper.
