School questions that everyone should know. We knew, but forgot: How to refresh your memory of the school curriculum

Text: Alexandra Bazhenova-Sorokina

The further we get from final exams, the worse we remember everything learned at school. At the same time, the school curriculum is the set of knowledge that truly unites the entire population of one country: in contrast to the skills acquired later, the school provides the widest coverage of the basics of various disciplines and at the same time helps to learn what this moment is a scientific constant. Today, it is easier than ever to remember or relearn something from the school curriculum, thanks to thematic websites, traditional and online libraries, YouTube channels and other resources, although online courses for adults on the school curriculum are sadly few. We have collected eleven sources with which you can brush up on a variety of subjects - from algebra to school French - or try yourself in passing the Unified State Exam in one of the school subjects.

If you remember math well, but you don't have enough practice or you just want to exercise your brain, the Problems website is for you, even though it is billed as a resource for teachers and educators. Here you can find a sea of problems in mathematics, geometry, algebra, mathematical analysis and computer science: from the simplest ones about Cheburashki and air balloons to those that you can spend a couple of hours or days solving. Solutions are attached to the problems, and in geometry there are also diagrams. Unfortunately, the resource does not have a theoretical part, so you cannot first remember the topic and then practice it in practice, but the help for an adult refreshing past knowledge is truly enormous.

Website with video tutorials and training tasks for everyone who wants different subjects school curriculum. Now the site has almost all the classes in the natural sciences and about half in the humanities. The lessons are primarily intended for schoolchildren, but anyone can use the service: videos can be downloaded, there are scripts, reading lists and homework. The site is easy to navigate and has a nice interface, which is great for educational projects- rare. The opportunity to listen to live teachers and watch videos is especially important, since teaching or remembering school knowledge only through texts is still a completely different experience.

One of the main achievements of the digital era is electronic textbooks: they have much more illustrations, it is possible to update information at a speed that paper editions have never dreamed of, and each lesson contains many times more information, hyperlinks and assignments. For example, there is a biology textbook in the public domain. It is intended for modern schoolchildren Therefore, the wording of explanations and tasks looks formal and is not always convenient for an adult. But there is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of botany, general biology or ecology at a level that even ten years ago would not have been possible in many good schools- after all, science itself is already at a different stage of development.

The most pleasant interface of publicly available online textbooks - unexpectedly for a multimedia textbook organic chemistry. It is easy to use, there are not only texts and tasks with illustrations, but also videos, animations, as well as games, crosswords and the final test, touchingly called the “mini-USE”. The text of the textbook looks surprisingly not intimidating, and the abundance of pictures and diagrams helps you quickly understand both chemical problems and concepts that were once confusing, such as polymers or thermochemical calculations. If you previously hated chemistry, but want to get back into studying it, this can be a very successful way.

A somewhat unexpected site for self-study, “Need 5,” was created to find a tutor in the desired subject. Nevertheless, there is a “wiki-textbook” section, which contains materials on various subjects (history, geography, and social studies) combined by topic and year of schooling, written and edited by users. Although understand how good quality each individual text is impossible, it is quite possible to resort to the help of such a resource to find out general information on a specific topic and dig further, relying on video tutorials or text materials.

Unfortunately, there is especially little school curriculum material for adults specifically on the Russian language, although the ability to write correctly is a skill that not everyone received at school, and with the theory of language, things are even more complicated. The “Russian on 5” website offers exercises, lessons, online dictionaries and preparation for the Unified State Exam for adults and children and is made clear enough to study on your own. In addition to it, you can always use the Gramota.ru websites and academic dictionaries, plus take tests or write dictations.

If you want to test your own knowledge, you can always refer to the exam tasks. On the website "Exam RU" there is Unified State Exam tests in all the main subjects of the school curriculum, from social studies to computer science, and they can be passed and even written on the official Unified State Examination paper black pen(however, it is not obvious how to find out the result in this situation). There are also online tests in various subjects at the ninth grade level - GIA. Additional information on the site, such as a link to how much a student's backpack should weigh or how to avoid going to school for legal reasons, is unlikely to be needed by an adult, but the opportunity to experience the final exams of today's eleventh graders is truly exciting.

Another site with online lessons for the school curriculum. "Knowledge Hypermarket" offers wide choose subjects, including art, ethics and subjects of the Ukrainian school curriculum, which is doubly interesting and enjoyable. The site has a certain amount of texts and exercises, but there is no interactivity; It is also not entirely clear what the history and mission of the Hypermarket is. Nevertheless, in the absence of fish, it is quite possible to use his lessons in order to further look for exercises, tests or video lessons on specific topics.

"MetaSchool" - St. Petersburg educational portal, where there are clubs on the main school subjects, Olympiads, online courses on mental arithmetic and mathematics grades 5–8, algebra and geometry level high school. The courses are paid, but their cost is clearly justified by the amount of resources and individual approach. Teachers with pedagogical education work here, and what is especially pleasant is that learning is not focused on tests, but involves fun and gaining real knowledge. The obvious disadvantage, however, is that the courses are designed primarily for children and their parents, and not for adults who want to learn or repeat something for themselves.

The English school system looks very different, but it offers an equally interesting body of knowledge. A huge advantage of studying online for an English (GCSE) or international (IGCSE) secondary school program is that you are simultaneously training foreign language and get all the terminology on the subject you are interested in. Unfortunately, all such courses for adults prepare them specifically for passing the secondary and high school to obtain a certificate, and cost accordingly. But a plus this course, for example, in the fact that upon registration the user receives a free .pdf with a sample of the selected subject, for example IGSCE biology, which makes it possible to understand whether you need it at all.

The most difficult thing to master on your own is with the queen of school misunderstandings - physics. This science is easy for few people even with good teacher, and even more so without it. Unfortunately, online resources on physics most often come down to the sites with problems or tests that we have already mentioned, but there is also, for example, this one full course physics, the basis of which is the explanations of the textbook. The entire school physics curriculum is divided into topics and written in relation to in clear language, there are many illustrations, but, alas, the tasks are inexplicably missing - you will have to look for them yourself.

In conditions of development modern society information Technology penetrate deeply into people's lives. They very quickly turned into a vital stimulus for the development of not only the world economy, but also other areas of human activity. Nowadays it is difficult to find an area in which information technology is not currently used. Thus, in industry, information technologies are used not only to analyze stocks of raw materials, components, and finished products, but also make it possible to conduct marketing research to forecast demand for various types of products, find new partners, and much more.

At the same time, all accounting operations at enterprises and beyond are now based on the use of information technology. How effective is the robot? government controlled largely depends on the level of interaction between citizens, enterprises and other government bodies. Therefore, in public administration, information technologies make it possible to simultaneously use information, organizational, legal, socio-psychological, personnel and other factors, which greatly facilitates the work and organization of the management process itself. Of course, the use of such technologies does not solve all problems, but they significantly speed up work in complex areas of analytical activity, for example, during analysis and assessment of the operational situation in difficult situations, preparation and generation of reports and certificates.

The use of information technologies in the scientific field and in education is difficult to overestimate. Nowadays it is difficult to imagine a school that does not have a computer class. Now there are a lot of electronic libraries that you can use without leaving your home, which greatly facilitates the process of learning and self-education. At the same time, information technologies contribute to the development of scientific knowledge.

Since the speed of information exchange increases and it becomes possible to carry out complex mathematical calculations in a few seconds and much more. Information technology is one of the modern methods of communication, the main advantages of which are accessibility. Using information technology, you can easily access the information you are interested in, as well as communicate with a real person. On the one hand, this has a negative effect, since people communicate less and less “live”, in direct contact, but on the other hand, it will allow you to communicate with a person who is on the other side of the world, and this, you see, is of great importance.
