When is the Junior Eurovision Song Contest? Why in Georgia


For the first time in history, you can help choose the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest by voting online. From Friday, November 24th you will be able to vote on the website junioreurovision.tv, where you will find videos of the performances of all 16 participants.

Online voting will pause right before the live broadcast of the show on Sunday, November 26 at 18:00 Moscow time, and will begin again as soon as all 16 songs have been performed. Within 15 minutes after the broadcast, you will again have the opportunity to vote.

All your votes will be sent to the Junior Eurovision Voting Center, where they will be converted into points, which will then appear on the scoreboard. Your votes are exactly half of the performer’s total points. The other half will be determined by the jury.

As always, the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be the song that scores maximum amount points!


The final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be shown live on the Karusel TV channel on November 26 at 18:00 Moscow time.

Georgia received the right to host the fifteenth competition after the victory of ten-year-old performer Mariam Mamadashvili at Eurovision 2016. With the song "Mzeo" (sun - translated from Georgian), the Georgian was ahead of representatives of 17 countries, gaining 239 points.

The organizers of the competition were informed that Georgia was ready to host Eurovision in 2017 immediately after the victory. Georgia won the Junior Eurovision for the third time - this is the best result in the entire history of the song contest. In 14 years, it was won twice by Malta and Belarus.
