How to create a cartoon photo effect in Photoshop. Create a cartoon frame from a photo in Photoshop

In this lesson you will learn how to regular photography create a cartoon illustration. Using methods of creating a sketch from a photo, brushes, and halftone textures, you will get a professional comic book effect. Let's start!

Preview of the final result:

Step 1.

Open the image of the girl from the lesson resources (Ctrl+O).

Immediately desaturate the image (Image-Adjustment-Desaturate).

We get the following result:

Step 2.

Duplicate this layer (Layer-Duplicate Layer or Ctrl+J).

Invert the colors in the image (Image-Adjustment-Invert or Ctrl+I):

As a result, we get something like a negative:

Changing the blending mode (Blending Mode) this layer to Lighten the base (Color Dodge):

Step 3.

Go to the menu Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur (Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur).

Let's leave only the outlines of the image. Set the blur radius to 5.7 px.

The resulting sketch looks pretty good, but needs improvement. In the places indicated in red we will increase the visibility of the contours.

Step 4.

We flatten the image layers. To do this, right-click on the thumbnail of any layer and select – Flatten Image (Layer-Flatten Image).

Rename the resulting merged layer (double click on title) to the "Sketch" layer.

Create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) under the layer with the sketch and fill it (Edit-Fill or Paint tool Bucket tool white (#ffffff).

Create a mask on the sketch layer (Layer-Layer Mask or click on the mask icon at the bottom of the layers panel).

Step 5.

Activate the layer mask with the sketch (click on it) and select Brush (Brush) black color (#000000) size 50 px with 45% hardness (Hardness). Paint over the background areas to the left of the girl and the upper right corner.

To clean up unnecessary strokes on the legs, use a black Brush. (Brush) 35px in size with soft edges, dragging along them.

Your sketch should now look clearer, like the image below:

Step 6.

Setting the blending mode (Blend Mode) Layer with sketch on Multiply (Multiply), then duplicate it (Ctrl+J or Layer-Duplicate Layer) 7 times. This technique will help reveal the missing details of the image.

Select all copies of the sketch layers (Ctrl+click on layer thumbnails) and combine them into one layer (right-click on the selected layers and select – Merge Layers).

Rename the merged layer “Sketch Details” and create a layer mask for it.

Step 7

On the “Sketch Details” layer mask use the Brush (Brush) black color to paint over almost the entire image, except for the girl’s shoes, hair and gun.

Your image should look like this:

To complete the sketch, let's clarify some more points. Create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) and call it “Contours”. Selecting a brush (Brush) 3-4 px with hard black edges. Opening the brush settings panel (F5) and in the section “Shape Dynamics” (Shape Dynamics) set size variation (Size Jitter) with pen pressure (Pen Pressure). We emphasize the contours of the face with a brush, imitating a comic book effect.

Step 8

Here's what our sketch looks like when we're done:

Merge the “Sketch”, “Sketch Details” and “Outlines” layers (Ctrl+click on layer thumbnails, then Ctrl+E). Call the resulting layer “Sketch”.

Wonderful! Now let's start coloring our sketch. Create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) and call it “Primary Colors”. Set the blending mode of this layer to Multiply (Multiply).

I didn't use separate layers to color the heroine's hair, skin, and clothes. One layer is quite enough in our case. If you are going to perform colorization on a tablet, then activate the “Shape Dynamics” section in the brush settings palette (f5) and draw with 100% opacity (Opacity).

Step 9

If you don't have a tablet, select the Pen tool (Pen tool) in outline mode (pen icon in a frame in the top menu) and create an outline around the girl's face.

After closing the outline, click on it with the right mouse button and select from the menu – Create selection (Make Selection). In the selection dialog box, specify the feathering radius (Feather) 0 and click OK.

Setting the color foreground on #fedcb9. Filling the selection (Alt+Backspace or Paint Bucket Tool) foreground color.

Using this painting technique, we colorize the entire sketch. Below are the colors for each paint area. If the fill colors extend beyond the outline of the painted area, use the Eraser to remove (Eraser Tool) superfluous.

Step 10

Fill colors:

Having created color base image, we will give it depth by adding shadows and highlights. Create a separate layer for shadows and highlights (Ctrl+Shift+N) and call it “Shadow/Light”. Add a clipping mask to this layer (click on the thumbnail of this layer and select – Create Clipping Mask).

Anything we do on the clipping layer will be limited to the underlying color layer.

Step 11

In this step we will determine the light source to properly distribute the shadows and highlights in the image. In our case, the light comes from the right.

Keeping our light source in mind, we begin to designate shadows and light areas. Use a soft brush (Brush) with opacity (Opacity), set to "pen pressure" (Pen Pressure), if you work on a tablet; and Brush (Brush) with opacity (Opacity) 30-40% if you use a mouse. Below are the colors I used for the shadows and highlights.

Step 12

This is what the illustration now looks like with shadows and highlights.

As a finishing touch, we will add a halftone texture to the girl's image. Download a set of halftone textures from the lesson resources and open them in Photoshop. Select one from the set and transfer (Move Tool) to our document. Change the bit mode before transferring.

Place the halftone texture above all the layers in the panel and change the blending mode to Multiply (Multiply).

Now, so that the pattern is only on the girl, create a clipping mask on the layer with it (click on the layer thumbnail and select – Create Clipping Mask).

Reducing the opacity (Opacity) halftone layer up to 40-50%.

Step 13

Add a mask to the halftone pattern layer (Layer-Layer Mask-Reveal All) and black brush (Brush) 120-130 px and 80% hardness (Hardness) hide part of the image.

And we get the following result:

Step 14

To remove the white background around the girl, use the tool Magic wand (Magic Wand Tool) with permission (Tolerance) at 32 (Top Menu). Click on white background, highlighting it.

Having selected the main background, additionally press Shift to activate the “add to selection area” option, and press the tool between the hands and on the hips.

Step 15

Once you have selected all areas of the background, go to the menu Layer - Layer Mask - Hide Selection (Layer-Layer Mask-Hide Selection). This will remove all the background from the image.

Create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) below the layer with the girl and call it “Background”. Fill in (Edit-Fill or Shift+F5) its color is #f07e0f.

Create a new layer (Ctrl+Shift+N) above the background layer, but below the "Girl" layer. Let's call it "Lines".

Step 16

Activate the Brush (Brush) and select the very first one in the set by default. Open the brush settings panel (F5) and in the “Brush Mark Shape” section (Brush Tip shape) set the size to 8 px with intervals (Spacing) 175%.

In the section “Shape Dynamics” (Shape Dynamics) increase the size fluctuation (Size Jitter) up to 100%. Set the foreground color to white (#ffffff).

Hide the visibility of the girl layer (click on the thumbnail eye) and, holding Shift, draw horizontal line brush (Brush) in the center of the canvas from left to right.

Step 17

Extending the line to the height of the canvas using Transform (Edit-Transform or Ctrl+T). While holding Alt, drag the middle node of the frame up, stretching the line vertically.

The result is this pattern:

Go to the layer with the line in the menu Filter-Distort-Polar Coordinates (Filter-Distort-Polar Coordinates). Activate the option “Rectangular to polar” (Rectangular to Polar).

Step 18

The result is a nice ray-shaped pattern.

Press Ctrl+T (Transformation) and, holding Alt+Shift, increase the rays on the canvas.

Blur the rays using the Gaussian Blur filter (Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 14.8 px.

Step 19

Reducing the opacity (Opacity) ray layer to 52% and turn on the visibility of the girl layer.

And now our cartoon character is ready! This is the final result:

I think you liked these interesting techniques creating comics. Good luck and creative success!

More and more often, simple online photo editors are not able to process photos in such a way as to make the photos truly interesting. Not everyone can learn complex programs such as Photoshop. However, those who want to add variety to their photographs will always find a way out. Upload a portrait photo to the service and you will be able to make amazing facial changes: facial morphing, changing facial expressions, and, finally, facial animation! That is, lips, cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids will actually move! Creating this effect will take no more than a minute!

The service also provides many other features. Here you can create not only realistic facial expressions such as a wink, a sweet smile, a sly squint, genuine surprise, or a sad lowering of the corners of the lips, but also a lot of parody effects . In addition, you can apply a cartoon effect to each caricature . Parody effects are reminiscent of creating a cartoon from a photo, or a photo caricature: just as fun, but incomparably simpler and faster. Upload a portrait photo of yourself (or a friend's photo ;)) and turn into an alien, a fat guy, a lightbulb man or a troll!

Facial animation is a unique animated avatar!

Have you ever thought about your avatar? Is it individual? Does it reflect your personality? The surest way to make an avatar “yours” is to put own face. But anyone can just cut a face out of a photo, it’s boring. Mega-original change face you can go to the website. Your avatar can become either animated or static (for those sites and social networks, which prohibit animation). Smile at your friends, wink at them or make funny faces. They will appreciate your new avatar!

Effects for photos and online photo jokes: manufacturing technology

Creating photo effects with a face is a whole science. First, you need to correctly find the main facial features, such as the corners of the eyes and mouth, and nose. Secondly, correctly set the function of their transformation, for example, a sequence of frames for the smooth appearance of a smile. Then, when correct selection parameters, you can get excellent results. But don't worry, the site will do all this for you, and completely automatically!

Application cartoon effect (or comic book effect, hand-drawn effect) requires finding the sharpest boundaries in the photo. These boundaries are then carefully drawn, the number of colors in the photo is reduced and the transitions between adjacent colors are smoothed out. Thus, by applying the “Cartoon Effect” photo filter, you can turn a portrait photo into a cool cartoon picture.

Hello guys, Oleg Lyutov is here! Today's topic is again a lesson on working with Photoshop, namely how to make a drawing from a photo using a photo editor. Moreover, I will show two methods in which the results will be different, but still the same drawings. In one of my articles I wrote, “if you don’t know, you are welcome.”

I’ll start right away with the fact that for those who are opposed to long and tedious reading, a video with my personal video instructions on how to make a drawing from a photo is posted on the blog. You can scroll down the article and watch a fascinating video on creating a drawing from a photo.

But, before starting the article, I want to congratulate all men on the upcoming holiday of February 23 and wish them good health and love. I hope your women have read my article by ordering the product and it is on its way to your home.

By the way, you can also order a product for your loved ones by reading the article. In general, buy, give - and, most importantly, be happy.

But, returning to the topic of the lesson, I’ll explain that this publication will teach even the most distant user from Photoshop, and he, also following my video instructions, will be able to draw a picture from a photograph in this program.

How to make a drawing from a photo, simple steps

This lesson will, in principle, help improve (or acquire) skills in working in graphic editor photoshop, well, successful students will be able to please themselves a cartoon drawing as a result of processing your own, or someone else’s, photo.

To get the result you will need a photo and the basics of working with Photoshop. I repeat that there are two methods at once, and it’s worth starting with the second one, since it is much simpler.

Drawing from photo to Photoshop

So, the option of turning a photo into cartoon drawing by the second method:

STEP 1. The first thing to do is open the editor itself!

STEP 2. After the photo appears on the screen, go to the “layers” section in the sidebar to create a duplicate layer. This can be done by selecting the “create a duplicate layer...” item. Its creation is mandatory, otherwise the processing will not give any effect and the image will not be converted.

STEP 4. The next step is to go to the “filters” tab, where in the pop-up window you will need to select the “filter gallery” item. The program will provide available filters, among which you will need to select the “edge outline”.

STEP 5. You will need to specify the following parameters:

edge thickness - 2; intensity -1; pasteurization-2.

Actually, that's all! The drawing becomes cartoonish. Next, you can edit it and select the background, as indicated in the screenshot below.

How to make a drawing from a photo in Photoshop

It’s worth moving on to the first, more complex option of turning a photograph into a drawing:

STEP 1. The initial stage is the same, select the desired photo and move on to layers. IN this option You will no longer need to duplicate the layer, but to create a new layer, the main thing is not to mix it up.

STEP 3. With a pencil you will need to outline all the contours of the required details: ears, eyes, head, hands, etc. The main thing is to make sure that the contour is closed.

When all the contours are outlined and, most importantly, closed on the panel, we move on to the layers and remove the stand. By the way, the tears in the contour are clearly visible on the translucent window.

Now cartoon drawings, and in two various options, are available for creation by any Photoshop user who has read this article and familiarized himself with both instructions.

If you wish, you can additionally familiarize yourself with the already mentioned video, where you can see all the work in more detail. Especially useful for beginners.

Video instructions on how to make a drawing from a photo

This is how easy it is to create a drawing from a photo using Photoshop.

Now, I would like to hear your opinion about this lesson. Maybe someone knows an easier way? Write to me about it in the comments. In the meantime, you are thinking about what to write, I suggest you subscribe to my blog updates by scrolling down the interesting advertisement. Thank you for your attention, this moment enough for now. The lesson is over!

Hand-drawn photographs look quite interesting. Such images are unique and will always be in fashion.

With some skills and perseverance, you can make a cartoon frame. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to be able to draw, you just need to have Photoshop on hand and a couple of hours of free time.

In this lesson we will create such a photo using the source, tool "Feather" and two types of adjustment layers.

Not all photos are created equal for creating a cartoon effect. Images of people with pronounced shadows, contours, and highlights are best suited.

The lesson will be built around this photograph of a famous actor:

Converting a photo into a cartoon occurs in two stages - preparation and coloring.

Preparation

Preparation consists of selecting colors for work, for which it is necessary to divide the image into certain zones.

To achieve the desired effect, we will divide the image like this:

  1. Leather. For the skin, select a shade with a numerical value e3b472.
  2. Let's make a shadow gray 7d7d7d.
  3. Hair, beard, suit and those areas that define the contours of facial features will be completely black - 000000 .
  4. The shirt collar and eyes should be white - FFFFFF.
  5. The highlights need to be made a little lighter than the shadows. HEX code – 959595 .
  6. Background - a26148.

The tool we will use today is "Feather". If you have difficulties using it, read the article on our website.

Coloring

The essence of creation cartoon photo consists in outlining the above zones "Per" followed by filling with the appropriate color. To make it easier to edit the resulting layers, we’ll use one trick: instead of a regular fill, we’ll use an adjustment layer "Color", and we will edit its mask.

So let's start coloring Mr. Affleck.

  1. Make a copy of the original image.

  2. Immediately create an adjustment layer "Levels", we will need it later.

  3. Apply an adjustment layer "Color",

in the settings of which we prescribe the desired shade.

  4. Press the key D on the keyboard, thereby resetting the colors (foreground and background) to default values.

  5. Go to the adjustment layer mask "Color" and press the key combination ALT+DELETE. This action will paint the mask black and completely hide the fill.

  6. It's time to start outlining the skin "Per". Activate the tool and create a path. Please note that we must select all areas, including the ear.

  7. To transform the outline into a selected area, press the key combination CTRL+ENTER.

  8. While on the adjustment layer mask "Color", press the keyboard shortcut CTRL+DELETE, filling the selection with white. This will make the corresponding area visible.

  9. Removing selection using hotkeys CTRL+D and click on the eye near the layer, removing visibility. Let's give this element a name "Leather".

  10. Apply another layer "Color". We set the shade according to the palette. The blending mode must be changed to "Multiplication" and reduce the opacity to 40-50% . This value it can be changed in the future.

  11. Go to the layer mask and fill it with black ( ALT+DELETE).

  12. As you remember, we created an auxiliary layer "Levels". Now he will help us in drawing the shadow. Click twice LMB using the layer thumbnail and using the sliders we make the darkened areas more pronounced.

  13. Again, step on the layer mask with the shadow, and use a pen to outline the corresponding areas. After creating the outline, repeat the steps with filling. When finished, turn it off "Levels".

  14. The next step is to outline the white elements of our cartoon photo. The algorithm of actions is the same as in the case of skin.

  15. Repeat the procedure with the black areas.

  16. Next comes coloring the highlights. Here again we will need a layer with "Levels". Use the sliders to lighten the photo.

  17. Create a new fill layer and draw highlights, a tie, and the outlines of the jacket.

  18. All that remains is to add a background to our cartoon photo. Go to a copy of the source and create a new layer. Fill it with the color defined by the palette.

  19. Defects and “misses” can be corrected by working with a brush on the mask of the corresponding layer. The white brush adds areas to the area, and the black brush removes.

The result of our work looks like this:

As you can see, there is nothing complicated in creating a cartoon photo in Photoshop. This work is interesting, although quite labor-intensive. The first shot may take several hours of your time. With experience, you will understand how the character should look in such a frame and, accordingly, the processing speed will increase.

Be sure to take a lesson on the instrument "Feather", practice tracing outlines, and drawing such images will not cause difficulties. Good luck in your creativity.

In this tutorial you'll learn how to create a fun 3D character in Photoshop using simple techniques and techniques.

Step 1. Create a new document with a size of 3000 x 2500 pixels and a resolution of 300 dpi. Let's take it Pen Tool (Pen) (P), select mode Shape Layer(Shape Layer) and create the basic shape of the character. Call this layer "Base" and change the color to #71d0e8.

Step 2. Before we continue, let's set up the Layers panel. Click in the upper right corner of the panel to open the menu. Choose Layers Panel Options(Layers panel options) and in the window that appears, set the following settings:

Step 3. Create a new layer, hold down CTRL and click on the “Base” layer thumbnail to load its selection. Take a soft one brush(B) color #118ab2 and create a shadow on the left side of the character.

Step 4. Create a new layer again, set the Foreground color to #1e8cb4 and begin to draw a shadow along the edge of the base.

Step 5. Take a soft one brush color #44b3d7 and draw light along the left edge of the character. To quickly select the desired shade, you can use pipette(I).

Step 6. Now we will determine the main details of the character, for this we take a soft brush color #064168 and begin to draw the outline of the mouth.

Step 7 Let's take it Pen Tool(Pen) (P), change the mode to Shape Layer(Shape Layer) and create the basic shape of the mouth on the "Mouth" layer. Change the color to black.

Step 8 Having decided on the location of the mouth, draw the lips. To do this, use the Pen Tool (P) to create a basic shape for the upper lip using color #00406c on the “Upper Lip” layer. Add shadows for more realism.

Step 9 In the same way we create the lower lip with color #4aabce. Add shadows and light to add depth.

Let's take it Pen Tool(Pen) (P), change the mode to Path(Outline) and create a fold under the lower lip. Click CTRL+ENTER To create a selection, take a soft brush with the color # 17749 a and draw along the edge of the selection. Adding shadows and light. If everything is done correctly, the result will be like this.

Step 11 Now we will create the eyes. Draw the basic shape of the eye and fill it with white. Let's call this layer "Right Eye". Hold CTRL and click on the layer thumbnail to load its selection, take the soft brush(B) color #237a9c and draw shadows around the eye.

Step 12 Create a new document for the iris. Let's take it Ellipse Tool(Ellipse) (U) and create a circle. Change its color to #4dc9df and apply a layer style Inner Glow(Internal glow) with these parameters. Let's name the layer with the circle "Iris".

Step 13 Create another small black circle, place it in the center of the iris and call the layer “Pupil”. Let's take it brush(B), set the Foreground color to #006082 , then open the SS light beams brushes in Photoshop and create the iris texture. Applying a filter Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur(Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 2.5 pixels to make the texture smooth. Select the black circle and apply this filter to it with a radius of 20 pixels.

Step 14 We group all layers and import them into the main working document. Change the foreground color to #e6deb5, take a soft brush and paint around the edge of the eye to add a little yellow. Change the color to #d8cea6, open the Veins brushes in Photoshop and draw the capillaries inside the eye. Let's call this layer "Capillaries".

Step 15 Now let's add an eyelid to the eye. To do this, create a base color #00b7d6. Duplicate (CTRL+J) the eyelid layer and change the copy color to #007da1. Add a mask to the copy by clicking on the button at the bottom of the layers panel Add layer mask(Add a layer mask), take a large soft black brush of 250 px size and paint with it in the center of the eyelid to free up its light part.

Step 16. Add more shadows inside and outside the eyelid soft brush size 100 pixels and color #0e5a79. Change the brush color to #00425d and draw the outline of the eyelid. Next, hold down CTRL and click on the thumbnail of the layer with the created element to load its selection and create a new layer. Paint light on the top of the created path with a soft brush of 100 px size and color #236e8b.

Step 17 Now let's add light to the outline. For this we take Pen Tool(Pen) (P) mode Path(Outline) and create a line as in the screenshot below. Then activate the brush (B) and set it up: size 2 pixels, color white and hardness(hardness) 100%. Return to the pen, right-click on the created outline and select Stroke Path(Outline outline). Select from the drop-down menu Brush(Brush).

Step 18 Repeat steps 16 and 17 to draw the lower eyelid, then combine the layers into a group and name it "Lower Eyelid". Let's take it Pen Tool(Pen) (P) mode Shape Layer(Shape layer) and create lines with colors #0b506a And #15698b.

Step 19 Now let's add some shadows around the eyes and repeat steps 11-17 to create the left eye. Add shadows to the left eye, group all layers and name the group “Left Eye”.

Step 20 - Create the folds on the cheeks
It's time to work on the creases, starting with the cheeks. Creating a shape with color #c2e7f1 and apply the filter Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 17 pixels.

Step 21 Create a selection of the fold, take a soft brush with a size of 100 pixels and color #004576 and draw along the edge of the selected fold. Before deselecting, save it, create a new stripe with the color #add8eb and apply it to it Gaussian Blur

Step 22 Load the selection that we saved in the previous step, press CTRL+I to invert it, and add shadows to the outside of the fold using a soft brush with color #0d5983. Group the layers with the fold and name the group “Left Fold”. In the same way we create the right fold.

Step 23 - Create folds on the body
Now we need to create folds at the bottom of the character. To do this, take a soft brush of 175 pixels with a hardness of 0% and opacity of 50%. Choosing a color #0d6897 and paint with a brush in the place where the fold will be.

Step 24 Let's take it Pen Tool(Pen) (P) mode Path(Outline) and create the outline of the main fold. Save this outline and click CTRL+ENTER to convert it to a selection. Take a soft brush with a size of 200 pixels and color # 0e547b, invert the selection and start drawing shadows on the crease. If necessary, change the opacity of the brush.

Step 25 Add shadows to the bottom of the character using a soft brush and color #0a6791. Change the brush color to #0f5b83 and add more shadows.

Step 26 Let's take it Pen Tool(Feather) (P) and draw an outline to highlight the fold. Next, take a soft brush with color #004e7a and add shadows. Create a selection using the Pen Tool (P) to add shadows, change the Foreground color to #007299 , invert the selection and draw shadows outside. In the same way, add more shadows inside the selection to give the crease more realism.

Step 27 - Create small folds
To create small folds, take feather(P) mode Shape Layer(Shape Layer) and create a shape, then hold CTRL and click on the layer thumbnail to load its selection. Take a soft brush with a size of 200 pixels and a color #0198bd and begin to draw shadows on small folds.

Step 28 Repeat step 27 and create more small folds. Group the layers with folds and add a mask to the group to hide the extra areas.

Step 29 - Adding Highlights
Now we will add highlights to make our character look more realistic. Let's take it Pen Tool(Feather) (P) and create a shape for the main large fold, change its color to #ceecf1 and apply a filter Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 15 pixels.

Step 30. Create another shape with color #ceecf1 and apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 25 pixels. Next, create a new narrow stripe with the same color and apply a blur with a radius of 18 pixels.

Step 31 Repeat steps 29 and 30 to add more highlights. Add highlights on other folds depending on the location of the light source.

Step 32 - Adding Highlights to the Head
To add highlights on the head, take Pen Tool(Feather) (P) and create a shape with color #ceecf1, then apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 40 pixels. Next, create another narrow strip around the eyes with the same color and apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 25 pixels. If everything is done correctly, the character should look like this.

Step 33 We create new figure color in the middle of the head #ceecf1 and apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 46 pixels. The result should be like this.

Step 34 Repeat steps 29 and 30 to add highlights to the character's body and make it more realistic.

Step 35 - Create a hand
Create the base of the hand using Pen Tool(Feather) (P), don’t forget to switch to the mode Shape Layer(Shape layer). Change the color to #00a4cb, take a soft brush with a size of 200 pixels and draw shadows on the hand.

Step 36 Now we will detail the hand. Let's start with index finger, create a fold with color #006384 and apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 3.5 pixels.

Step 37 Repeat step 36 and create more folds on both fingers. To add light, create an oval with #cfebf1 color and apply Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 7.5 pixels.

Step 38 Create more highlights on the finger by repeating step 37, then add light on the hand.

Step 39 Now with the help Pen Tool(Feather) (P) create the base of the thumb, change its color to #029fc4, then take a soft brush with color #017798 and add shadows. Repeat step 37 and add highlights.

Step 40. Next we need to create a nail on thumb. Create a base and apply a layer style Gradient Overlay(Gradient overlay) with flowers #42a51e And #3dd567. Adding a Layer Style Stroke(Stroke) color #008bab and 2 pixels wide.

Step 41 The nail looks great, now let's add a layer style Outer Glow(External glow). Create a new selection, fill it with #d3fdcd color and apply a filter Gaussian Blur(Gaussian Blur) with a radius of 4 pixels. If everything is done correctly, the nail should look like this.

Step 42 Create the little finger by repeating steps 39-41, adding light and shadows in the necessary places. Group all the layers with the hand and name the group " Right hand". Then we duplicate the group, reflect it using Edit - Transform - Flip Horizontal(Editing - Transform - Flip Horizontal) and attach it to the left side of the character. Let's call it "Left Hand".

Step 43 - Color Correction
It's time to adjust the colors a little. Group all the layers and name the group “Monster”. Duplicate it and merge the copy into one layer (CTRL+E). Duplicate the layer (CTRL+J) and set the copy blending mode to Soft Light(Soft light) and reduce the opacity to 70%.

Step 44 Duplicate the “Monster” layer, go Filter - Filter Gallery(Filter - Filter Gallery) and apply the filter Plastic Wrap (Cellophane packaging). Let's call this layer "Filter".

Step 45. Select the "Filter" layer and change its blending mode to Overlay(Overlap) and reduce the opacity (opacity) to 60%. This will give interesting effect character and will make him more realistic.

Step 46 We have come to the end of the lesson. Now we need to change the eye color. To do this, add an adjustment layer Hue/Saturation(Hue/Saturation) and change the parameter Hue(Color Tone) to -98. Let's call this layer "Eye Color".

Step 47 Add vector mask to the "Eye Color" adjustment layer, select the mask and fill it with black to completely hide its effect. Take a soft one brush white and sketch the iris of the eyes.

Step 48 We just need to add a few finishing touches. First let's add a reflection to the eyes. To do this, create a white oval on the iris of the eye, then add a vector mask to the layer and hide the lower part of the white oval with a soft brush of 50 pixels.

Step 49 After applying the filter Plastic Wrap(Cellophane wrapping) You may have noticed that there are some extra highlights around the edges of the character that we need to remove to give it a realistic look.

Step 50. We remove all unnecessary parts of the character: on the arms, fingers, edges of the body.

Step 51 This is the last step of the lesson. Experiment with brushes to create a suitable background. Congratulations! We're done. That's all, friends. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Here is the final result.
