Until her friend, Officer Brown, called her and invited her to look at an incident that happened in their town. In his opinion, they were involved in this supernatural powers. Dayne immediately went to a place that she didn’t immediately like. The first person she met was the gravedigger who was burying a woman. But he could not say anything about this, but advised the woman to contact the priest, Father John, and told him where he could be found. Walking further, Dawn met Officer Brown, who told her that a woman named Olivia Martin, who lived in the house next to which they were located, had died and her daughter, Lila Martin, was missing.
He refused to let her into the house for now, since his people were working there, but he allowed her to look around. During the inspection, Dawn realized that something unclean was really going on in these places, because she periodically saw demons unknown to her. At the same time, the detective decided to meet with Father John and talk to him. She found him where the gravedigger had spoken, but they were unable to talk because the priest was dragged away by some demon who was not even afraid of holy places. Dawn began to have very bad suspicions, but she was still afraid to voice them, even to herself. And when she entered the greenhouse courtyard, she realized that Brown’s fears were not in vain. There she saw not one demon, but several. There was also a girl and father John. But a moment later they all disappeared. Dawn realized that this investigation would not be easy. In the greenhouse itself, the detective met a frightened man who said that demons had dragged Father John to the second floor. Having gone up there, Dawn realized that there was nothing to help the priest - he was dead, and his face was terrible.
She returned to the house to tell Officer Brown about her observations, but there was no one there, and around there were the same marks that she found at the scene of the death of John's father. Brown's uniform cap lay on the steps. Did trouble really happen to him too? She returned to the entrance to the greenhouse again, and her attention was drawn to a strange building, not at all like a church. She found herself in a huge hall, in which she saw a sitting woman in a strange mask with her eye sockets glowing with a fierce red light. Afterwards, Dawn doesn’t remember anything, but when she came to her senses, she saw that she was behind bars. But she got out of captivity quite quickly and ended up in an abandoned temple, where a small demon tried to attack her. But some unfamiliar young man came to her aid. As it turned out, he was sent by the Order of Demon Hunters to reconnoiter the situation. But Dawn had never heard of such an organization, and then the man promised to tell her everything he knew later. He also noticed how the girl was led towards the castle, shared a weapon with the detective and promised to join her later, after he found out everything about another victim who was there. Dawn examined the surroundings and again saw the demon with the girl, who really dragged her to the castle, located on the other side of a huge crevice. But there was a cable car nearby, and it was the only way to get there.
On it, the detective reached the village, where on one of the streets she saw an elderly woman, around which they curled little demons. Here, just in time, there was a weapon that was given to her by a man from the Order of Demon Hunters. The woman thanked Dawn and said that they are trying to stop these monsters, but they appear from the castle every day. The woman was shot and the detective bandaged her wound. For this, she told the detective that she hid a powerful crystal near the river in case the monsters got to her. The woman asked to bring it to her along with the scepter. Dawn complied with her request, and the woman helped her remove the demonic seal from the gate leading to the castle. Then she said that when the detective gets to the castle, she should find a man named Hugh there. This is their village doctor, kidnapped a week ago.
Having made her way into the castle, in the library she found the same doctor named Hugh. Only at first he decided that Down was at one with the monsters, but then he realized his mistake. This began to worry Dawn - had she already met one of them before? The detective managed to get into the throne room herself, but she only made things worse - the demoness disappeared again along with little Lila. Dawn rushed to look for them and reached the basement in the castle. Hugh suddenly appeared, only he was no longer as nice as when he first met. He ordered Dawn to open a hatch in the floor and jump down there, saying that a certain “nice lady wanted to play with her.” The detective understood perfectly well who we were talking about.
Having explored all the rooms available to her, Dawn learned the continuation of the sisters’ story. The Demon Lord opened a portal to the human world and tried to take the girls to him, but the Demon Hunters prevented him from doing this and destroyed his army. After this, the Hunters handed the girls over to a man named Ashmore, who was to tell them their story as soon as they were ready. Everyone decided that the danger had passed and the girls were safe now. But the demons found Ashmore's refuge and again tried to steal the girls for eternal service in hell. And again the hunters fought bravely and won, but it was too late - one of the girls disappeared. Further searches led her to ritual hall, in which the Hunter she knew tried to confront the distraught doctor and ordered her to run and save the girl.
So she got to the gates to Hell itself, and the demoness dragged Lila there. Dawn entered there without hesitation. It took place there last Stand for the soul of a little girl, in which the detective defeated both the demoness, tearing off the mask that controlled her, and the main demon himself, driving him back into his lair. After everything happened, Detective Dawn Hurlock decided to study the materials left by Officer Brown to try to understand how it all began. For a long time he did not want to take it on, but his colleagues persuaded him and he went to the crime scene, where Officer Stewart was already waiting for him. It was unclear how the killer managed to get into the house. Father John told Brown that Miss Martin was afraid of everything and claimed that demons were hunting her and her daughter. While touring the house, Brown encountered one of these demons and it was then that he decided to call Dawn. That's how this investigation began.
