Autumn holidays of the school year. How the holiday calendar is formed

By law, Russian schools can set their own vacation times - this is the prerogative of the administration of the educational institution. However, education authorities annually issue Recommended schedule for school holidays – and the vast majority of educational institutions adhere to it.

As a rule, the timing of short autumn and spring school holidays is set so that they begin and end with weekends - in this case, children rest for a whole week, and not for two halves.

In Moscow schools, starting from the 2015-2016 academic year, vacations will take place according to one of two schedules - a classic one, when the school year is divided into four quarters with short autumn and two-week winter holidays (this is how most Russian schools study), or according to a modular scheme, when 5-6 weeks of study alternate with one week of rest. Which of these two schedules the school operates on is determined by the board of the educational institution.

Dates of autumn holidays in 2015

The duration of the autumn holidays will be 9 days, including weekends. By tradition, the holidays coincide in time with the week when National Unity Day is celebrated in Russia.

When are schoolchildren's winter holidays 2015-2016

Schoolchildren will be able to celebrate the New Year holidays for 16 days - this is exactly the duration of their winter holiday.

Winter holidays begin on December 26 () January 10 (Sunday). The end date of school holidays coincides with the end of the All-Russian New Year holidays - January 11 will be the first working day after New Year and Christmas and the first day of the third academic quarter.

Additional holidays for first-graders in 2016

In the middle of the third, longest quarter, first-graders will have an additional short vacation. They will begin February 8 (Monday) and will last exactly a week. Vacation end date – February 14, Sunday.

Spring Break Schedule 2016

Traditional Spring holiday week will begin for schoolchildren on March 19, on Saturday - it will be the first day of March break. Their duration will be the same as that of autumn - 9 days.

In some schools, spring break will take place a week later - from March 26 to April 3 - starting a new quarter in April is more common for many.

Vacation dates with the schedule “5(6)+1”

Schoolchildren, whose school year is structured not in quarters, but according to the “5(6)+1” modular system, will have rest according to a special schedule: the school period, which includes five or six weeks, will alternate with week-long holidays. There will be five such short holidays throughout the school year.

Vacation schedule according to the modular schedule in 2015-2016:

  • October 5-11

  • November 16-22

  • December 30 - January 5

An approximate holiday schedule in Russia is established by the Ministry of Education. Then its regional divisions come into play, but the heads of school institutions put an end to this issue directly. To the question - what date are the autumn holidays at school 2015, the answer is quite affirmative. The dates were agreed upon as of August 2015, however, for different types of institutions using different interval training systems. So what date is the fall break at school 2015? The schedule is below.

Schedule of autumn holidays in schools for 2015

9 days of autumn holidays given to schools providing education in quarters: from October 31 (Saturday) to November 8, 2015 (Sunday). The schedule may be changed due to the school holding various events, such as olympiads, championships, performances and performances. The schedule is usually approved in advance, but each school develops it independently, taking into account the recommendations of the Department of Education of the Russian Federation.

Thus, in the fall of 2015, schoolchildren will have a rest of 9 days. On average, this period is from 7 to 9 days. We asked the secretariat of Moscow schools with the same question: What date are the autumn holidays at school 2015 in Moscow? According to the secretaries, the schedule from October 31 to November 8 is adhered to by most schools, of which approximately half have allocated 4 to 6 days to organize trips to country camps. Rest should be active and a change of environment will benefit students, Moscow school leaders believe. This is especially true for those students who will have to prepare for exams during the 2015-2016 academic year.

An interesting fact is that the dates of school holidays themselves do not change from year to year, but the end and beginning dates of this rest period are constantly shifting. Therefore, for parents every year, starting in the fall, the question of how the terms of school holidays are distributed in the new school year becomes relevant. 2015-2016 is no exception.

School holidays 2015-2016: academic year, Moscow or other cities are different in that, according to current legislation, vacation dates can be set personally by the administration of a particular educational institution. Of course, governing bodies send schools a recommended schedule every year. And in recent years, schools have been trying to adhere to this schedule.

The deadlines, speaking in general terms, are set in such a way that short autumn and spring holidays begin and end with weekends. In such a situation, children will be able to rest not for a week, but a little more.

Important! In the 2015-2016 academic year, holidays in Moscow can take place according to two schedules. The classic version is when the academic year is divided into 4 quarters. Then the autumn and spring holidays will be short, the winter holidays will last two weeks. The second option is when the year follows a modular scheme, then every 5-6 weeks of vacation there will be a week off. The schools themselves determine which schedule is best for studying.

About quarter holidays

School holidays 2015-2016: academic year, Moscow Department of Education determined by quarter that the autumn holiday should begin on Saturday, October 31 and end on Sunday, November 8. It turns out that the short autumn holidays will last 9 days, if you include weekends. By the way, during the holidays there is an official national holiday, National Unity Day.

As for the winter holidays, to coincide with the New Year holidays, they will last 16 days. The holidays will begin on Saturday, December 26, and will end only on Sunday, January 10, in the new year.

Important! First-graders will have additional holidays in February, as provided for by law. In the middle of the long third quarter, first-graders will be able to take extra rest from February 8 to 14.

Spring holidays will be as short as autumn holidays. They will begin on Saturday, March 19 and last exactly nine days, that is, they will end on March 27, which falls on Sunday. In some schools, the spring holidays will be held a week later, then they will begin on Saturday, March 26 and end on the third day in April.

Schedule 5(6)+1

How will the 2015-2016 school holidays be distributed: academic year, Moscow 5/1? This training system is called modular, and children have a free rest schedule. They study for five or six weeks and then rest for a week. With this system of education, students have five holidays during the year, that is, one period of weekends more than when studying in quarters.

Schedule of modular holidays 2015-2016:

  • 5-11.10;
  • 16-22.11;
  • 30.12 – 05.01;
  • 15-21.02;
  • 4-10.04;

School holidays 2015-2016: academic year, Moscow by trimester

Another option for how study periods can be distributed throughout the year is trimesters. In such a situation, of course, the scope of the holidays will also be different. Autumn holidays will take place from October 5 to 11, as well as from November 16 to 22.

The dates of winter holidays are similar to schoolchildren's quarters. They will begin on December 31st and end on January 10th. That is, a ten-day New Year's holiday throughout the country fits exactly within the framework of these holidays. Additionally, when studying in trimesters, students will have a rest from February 15 to February 22. Spring break falls on April 4-12. Summer holidays begin at the end of May and must be at least eight weeks long.

School holidays 2015-2016: academic year, Moscow or other cities, as can be understood from this material, are distributed depending on what form of education is chosen in a particular school. These can be quarters, trimesters, or the 5(6)/1 system. Be that as it may, under any educational system, schoolchildren can enjoy well-deserved vacations, shorter or shorter, and more or less times during the school year.

All children look forward to the holidays every year to take a break from their busy school days. Information about the 2015-2016 vacation schedule will be useful not only for students, but also for their parents, who will be able to plan their vacation and come up with a children's entertainment plan for this period in advance.

Autumn vacation

Despite the fact that each educational institution has the right to independently set the timing of planned breaks in the educational process, recently society is increasingly returning to a single format, the most common in schools in the country.

The first opportunity for children to put their textbooks aside for a while will be the autumn school holidays of the 2015-2016 season. They are scheduled to begin at October 31, duration – 9 days until November 8. They will return to classes on Monday, November 9.

Festive winter - winter holidays

The longest and, perhaps, the most beloved by children after the summer are the winter days free from school. During this period there are two magical holidays - New Year and Christmas. In addition, cultural life offers a rich educational and entertainment program.

It is assumed that the New Year holidays in 2016 may begin on December 26. In this case, schoolchildren are given two full weeks and two days to rest. The best winter 16 days for the children will expire on Sunday, January 10, and on Monday, January 11, they will have to return to school.

The 2015-2016 winter holidays are also good because most parents are also on legal vacation at this time and have the opportunity to go on a trip with their children or simply enjoy spending time together.

Spring respite

In the spring, as the school year gradually comes to an end, the spring school holidays for the 2015-2016 school year provide students with a short respite before the intense months of April and May.

The school holiday schedule in 2015-2016 promises the children 9 free spring days, starting from March 26. The holiday will last until Monday, April 4, when the 4th quarter begins.

The last chance to catch your breath before will be only on the May holidays: from May 1 to May 3, as well as May 7, 8, 9.

Additional ones may be introduced from February 16 to February 28, 2016. In addition, students in Russian educational institutions will have days off on February 23, 2016, March 8, 2016, May 2, 3, and May 9, 2016.

When planning vacations for the 2015-2016 school year and their duration, schools provide children with the opportunity to relax a little, “digest” the workload of the school curriculum and recuperate before the next quarter. And how fruitful this vacation will be depends entirely on loving parents.
