Compatibility of the name Carlos, manifestation of love

Carlos, it cannot be said that you are completely incapable of manifestations of love and tenderness, but business comes first for you, and you will choose a partner based mainly on how well he can correspond to your life interests. Manifestations of strength of character, determination and ambition mean immeasurably more to you than sensuality and external attractiveness. In a marriage, should one happen, you will first of all value in your partner the ability to empathize with your ideas and the ability to provide support.

Motivation

You strive to “embrace the immensity.” Your soul longs for everything that a person can possess. And - in the maximum possible quantities. Therefore, the problem of choice, as such, one might say, does not exist for you. You simply cannot refuse any offer that life makes you.

When making a decision, the wishes of others are taken into account only as secondary factors: you are sure that if you feel good, then everyone else has nothing to complain about. This means that you can and should force them to “go in a water sled” with you, in the direction you choose.

And here the opportunity opens up to see everything from a different angle. You need outside assistance, and above all, as a “restraining principle.” Otherwise you may want to “turn over the earth.”

But if you are forced to use other people’s opportunities, then you need to learn to share the results. And the sooner you make a choice in favor of such a scheme of activity, the greater your chances of keeping your soul pure and your heart healthy.

Louis De Funes Real name - Carlos Luis de Funes de Galaraza. (b. 07.31.1914 - d. 01.27.1983)

Louis De Funes

Real name: Carlos Luis de Funes de Galarza. (b. 07.31.1914 - d. 01.27.1983)

Popular French theater and film comedian, Portuguese by birth. Performed roles in more than 120 films.

Winner of awards and titles: the title “Knight of the Legion of Honor” (1973), the Cesar Award for creativity (1980), the Golden Ticket TV audience prize for his role in the film “Big Holiday” (1966), awards “Orange” for politeness and courtesy with reporters.

This small, unusually active man with hilarious antics and roguish manners gave people many funny moments. Laughter was his job, and therefore he said with good reason: “I sell fun from nine in the morning until seven in the evening.” The rest of the time he was most often thoughtful, gloomy and irritable. Apparently because fate for a long time was unkind to him. For half his life she made him walk among the “capable young men of promise.” But in the second half she gave him luck, fame, and big money.

The only thing he has received since birth is this noble birth. Carlos Luis de Funes de Galaraza was a descendant of an ancient Portuguese family. He was born in the suburbs of Paris, in the family of a lawyer. The title of nobility did not give anything for life. And young Louis had to work hard to earn a piece of bread. He tried himself in every capacity - as an accountant, a furrier, a shoe shiner, a traveling salesman, a window dresser, and a pianist. For all these activities, his exotic name Louis was not suitable, and he began to make do with the simple one - Louis.

The work of a tapper brought him closer to art. Observing the reaction of the audience during the film show, he already realized that what they needed most was laughter. To learn the art of making people laugh, de Funes enrolls in René Simon's acting courses. But there he was most often given the roles of dramatic heroes, apparently because of his appearance, since in his youth he was very handsome. However, romance was never in tune with his soul. Therefore, after graduating from acting courses in 1941, Louis worked in the theater... as a decorator. And your creative career he starts out in comic shows in Parisian nightclubs and on the radio. The next step was participation in operettas.

Only after 30 years, the aspiring comedian made his debut on screen. This was in the film “The Barbizon Temptation” (1945). By that time, he had already started a family, having married his beloved Jeanne Barthelemy Maupassant, the granddaughter of Guy de Maupassant. Such a relationship not only filled de Funes with pride, but also obliged him to a lot. Male pride did not give him peace. And although de Funes’s comic talent was obvious and he more than once brought the audience to stomach cramps with his sketches, big earnings it didn't do him any good. Extra in the theater cameo roles in films, daily hard work, the eternal “poverty complex” and frequent depression from the consciousness that he is a loser - this is how half of his life passed. Later, already at the zenith of his fame, de Funes wrote: “I do not regret the slow development of my career. This slowness helped me to thoroughly understand my profession. When I was still unknown, I tried to color the small roles that were assigned to me with details, facial expressions, and gestures. I thus acquired some comic baggage, without which I could not have made a career. Therefore, if I started again, I would not give up this path.” Perhaps this was said more with the audience and reporters in mind, with whom de Funes, judging by the Orange Prize awarded to him by journalists, always had good relations.

One way or another, the actor had to star in 75 (!) films before his comic discoveries, carefully practiced over the years, “shot” and the directors finally realized that they had a ready-made professional high class. He began to be noticed only after Le Chanois's painting “Daddy, Mommy, the Maid and Me” (1954), where he played the colorful role of a neighbor. It was followed by a sequel - “Dad, Mom, My Wife and Me” (1955). Slowly but surely, de Funes' star began to rise above the horizon.

This ascent was especially facilitated by Yves Robert’s comedy “Not caught, not a thief” (1958), where Louis already performed main role- the rogue, the cunning and the poacher Blaireau. She was played brilliantly. Already in it, the actor showed a wealth of facial expressions and masterly gestures, which allowed him to talk about everything without saying a word. Everything played in Funes - face, hands, body. He didn’t need makeup or wigs, because they only got in the way, distorting his most successful mask - his own, unusually mobile face.

The success of what de Funes created comic character received further development in the films “American Beautiful” (1961), “The Devil and the Ten Commandments” (1962), “The Gendarme of St. Tropez” (1964). In them, his heroes specialize in two professions - an offender and a guardian of the law. Almost 18 years - from 1964 to 1982. the actor delighted many viewers with the adventures of gendarme Cruchot and his brigade.

But the police theme with the participation of de Funes was especially vividly embodied in A. Junnebel’s trilogy about Fantômas. Here, his hero Commissioner Juve, stupid and unprincipled, but considering himself smarter than everyone else, reigns supreme on the screen, displacing even the main character played by Jean Marais.

The 60s became the most successful and fruitful years in the actor’s work. Big, real roles finally came to him and, as a result, the fame of a comic star of the French screen and huge fees. De Funes becomes the most dear actor in the country. For his participation in the film he receives 2.5 million francs (more than Alain Delon). His best movies- “Razinya” (1965), “Big Walk” (1966) become the highest-grossing films. In them, de Funes performs in tandem with Bourville. Their duet is based on the opposition of comedy masks. The contrast between Bourville's simple-minded phlegmatic and de Funes' explosive choleric weaving intrigue creates a wonderful comedic effect.

The actor not only acted a lot during this time, but also wrote scripts for a number of films. Such intense work could not but affect his health. In the 70s, heart disease forced de Funes to limit his participation in filming. And, as a result, its popularity begins to decline. With the death of Bourville, his main partner, films in which the actor now has to solo alone are becoming increasingly unsuccessful. They repeat many previously found tricks, facial expressions, and gestures. Warmth and humanity are gradually disappearing from his films, and in return there is only buffoonery. And the actor is invited to act less and less often.

In March 1975, Louis de Funes suffered two heart attacks. After this, sick, upset by his failures and offended by the whole world, he decided to leave cinema. Having sold his Parisian apartment and moved to a castle near Nantes, the “forgotten by everyone” actor planned to write memoirs and plant flowers. But it was not there. When in 1976 Claude Zidi called him and offered to star in the comedy “A Wing or a Leg,” de Funes, who knew his worth, refused for the sake of appearance, citing ill health. But he immediately went to the doctor, looked at the cardiogram and, seeing that the line in it was not quite straight, agreed. On the set, making sure that the throne of the “king of laughter” that belonged to him remained unoccupied, the actor calmed down and changed his mind about parting with cinema.

In 1979, de Funes acted not only as an actor, but also as a director, filming Molière’s play “The Miser.” This work was awarded the honorary French Cesar Prize.

Louis de Funes always, and in last years life especially, led a secluded lifestyle. “I don’t like society,” he said, “I have few friends. All free time When I take a break from the fun, I spend time with my family.” The actor did not like restaurants or bohemian parties, grumbling about this: “What nonsense does a man with a glass in his hand say.” Many who knew him closely believed that he lived as if in the 19th century: he reluctantly drove a car, enjoyed growing roses and fishing. One of the journalists who interviewed him remarked with bewilderment: “It’s hard to imagine that this small, very serious man makes the whole of France laugh.” But, apparently, in these serious hours, Louis de Funes came up with that universal formula of laughter, thanks to which his characters will live on the screen for a long time, and the actor himself will remain one of the most amazing comedians of French cinema since the days of Max Linder.
