Filming of the second season of the show “Dancing” takes place every Wednesday at Glavkino, in pavilion No. 4 - it is one of the largest in Eastern Europe. To get inside, you need special permission - at the entrance to the complex, security guards check car numbers against lists compiled several days before filming. Once on the territory of Glavkino, we find a crowd of people at the main entrance to the pavilion - these are spectators, mostly young people aged 16-22 years.

“The spectators who come to the hall to watch their favorites are 100% fans of the show. We have very large groups on social networks, and we try to give everyone the opportunity to attend the filming. Recruitment of spectators opens literally for an hour, and already in the first 15 minutes the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of our auditorium.”

The head of TNT PR projects, Marina Karpova, meets us on the set. She hands over the coveted badges that allow you to enter the site. Massive scenery has been assembled behind the scenes, ready to be put on stage. Show participants wander around the dressing room. Everyone is smiling, clearly trying to hide their excitement. In front of the entrance to the hall there is a large platform along which the decorations are brought in between performances. When you watch the show on TV, it is not visible because it is hidden in the shadows and located to the right of the stage, just behind the steps. On the same side, behind the platform, the director's console with the film crew is hidden. Administrators, cameramen, stage workers, dancers rush past us, but there is no sense of chaos, everyone knows what to do.

“We have a huge administrative staff that performs different functions at different stages of the show: while castings are underway, they work closely with the participants. When there are concerts, they work with the stage, props, scenery, costumes... A separate group of people closely monitors the participants and tries to convey to the viewer what the participant came up with for their specific performance on stage. There is a certain element of “reality” in the project, not because the format requires it, but because we are all here for three months in the same pavilion.”

Administrators release extras into the hall. Typically between 900 and 1000 people participate in a recording. While everyone is seated, the animator-administrator speaks from the stage. To the accompaniment of energetic music, the guy explains the rules of behavior at the show and warms up the audience. He has half an hour to do everything about everything.

The rules are:

• turn off the phone;
• do not take photographs before, during or after recording;
• remove or turn inside out clothing with visible logos of famous brands;
• do not leave the hall during the entire shooting (this is about three to four hours).

Konstantin Obukhov (creative producer):“Besides the rules that safety requires on the site, and basic rules of behavior, we don’t seem to have any others. Well, and of course – confidentiality of information. Since about three full days pass between the filming of the next episode and its broadcast, we have a strict ban on publishing any information about the results. We try to maintain maximum intrigue for the viewer.”

At the judge's table, located to the left of the stage, the participants' mentors, Egor Druzhinin and Miguel, as well as guest jury member Sergei Svetlakov, appear. The permanent host of the “Dancing” show, Laysan Utyasheva, comes on stage, greets the audience, and exchanges jokes with the jury members.

A man's voice comes from somewhere above, announcing five-minute readiness. This is how everyone present hears the commands of the creative producer and, in general, the main person on the site - Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov. He rarely appears in the field of view, because... constantly manages all processes using monitors. The stage is already “charged” for the recording of the general number – “openers”; there are some white rectangular structures on it, with a pedestal in the center. Members of Miguel's team come out and take their positions. On the right side of the stage, next to the platform, the musicians were located. In almost every episode, a guest star appears along with the participants in one of the numbers of the project - this time it is Dima Bilan. He appears on stage and climbs onto the pedestal. A voice from above announces the start of recording, the signature title sounds, and the show begins.

The show's directors appear on the stage to “recharge” it for the recording of the final number - the “closer” - they take away the white decorations and place six multi-colored chairs.

Egor Druzhinin's team comes out. A voice from above warns that at some point there will be pyrotechnic special effects. Druzhinin's team number is fundamentally different from the previous one - light music, funny outfits in retro style. At the end, when the participants fall into their chairs and suddenly turn over, there really is an explosion.

The main part of the show starts at six o'clock in the evening. Participants appear on stage in a certain order and perform their numbers. Some dance in pairs, some solo. Everything is filmed in one take, which means the responsibility is very high.

• mentors present the number;
• on the screen behind the stage, a video with profiles of the participants and moments of preparation of the dancers starts, sometimes the director breaks the video to check the animation for the performance on the screen;
• at this time, workers remove the decorations from the previous number and put up new ones;
• the participants appear and, at the director’s command, begin their performance;
• after the end of the performance, the presenter comes out to find out the opinion of the mentors and announce the numbers of the participants for audience voting.

Participants prepare for each performance for six days (plus one day off, which all project services have). The guys live in a hotel not far from Glavkino. They have two rehearsal rooms, and classes are attended by mentors and professional choreographers. Creative director Sergei Shanovich, a well-known personality on Russian television, is responsible for the design of each issue. By the way, the name of his studio “SHANDESIGN” comes immediately after the inscription “Comedy Club Production” at the very beginning of each episode of the “Dancing” show.

It's hard to imagine that such a large number of numbers were delivered in less than a week. But the fact remains a fact. From what we saw, one of the most difficult, from a technical point of view, was the performance of Elena Platonova and Mikhail Shabanov. The decorations for it took about 20 minutes to assemble. The workers laid out a huge piece of black polyethylene, installing a raft-shaped structure in the center (wooden boards, car tires and a metal pipe as a mast). Fans began to force air under the film; someone hid under the film to simulate waves. This whole process was led by an energetic girl with a walkie-talkie.

Konstantin Obukhov (creative producer):“This is the stage director Nika Safronova, who is responsible for the dance numbers. She has a team of directors, which she manages, including with the help of this walkie-talkie. She is a very experienced person who has worked on large projects in Russia and Ukraine.”

From the auditorium at Glavkino, the performance seems much more impressive than on a computer monitor or TV screen. Every centimeter of the stage works for the dancers - this applies to giant screens with animation and fancy structures that serve as backstage.

Armen Ohanyan (creative producer):“When compiling the show program, we focus on the maximum palette of dance styles, musical accompaniment, themes of the numbers... And, of course, the dance capabilities of the participants are taken into account. In general, everything comes very unexpectedly.”

The stage is instantly cleared and the installation of a new complex structure begins for Mitya Staev’s act. Today is his day - he will work in his favorite genre of “pol dance”, that is, pole dancing, which is very rare among men. Crumpled newspapers are scattered across the stage as engineers tighten cables to stabilize the poles.

At the end of the show, when, unexpectedly for everyone, Yegor Druzhinin chose Mitya Staev for elimination, Miguel stands up for the guy and, contrary to the rules of the project, takes him to his team. Such moments are a real success for any director or producer from an emotional point of view. From the outside, this may seem like a planned move, but here, in the hall, looking at the presenters and the film crew, you understand that in fact such situations are impossible to stage.

I have been a television viewer of the show Dancing on TNT since the second season. I didn’t really watch the first season, just a few episodes. But the second, third, battle of the seasons and, finally, the fourth - I’m watching in full. The idea to go on set was completely spontaneous, but I really wanted to see the interior kitchen.

For those who want to get on set, the algorithm will be as follows.

1. You will need to go to the official VKontakte program group and open the discussion section. Next, we find a special topic, it will be called “Registration of spectators for 12/13/2017!” (the date, of course, will be different))))) Filming takes place on Wednesdays every week, registration for the broadcast opens every Thursday at approximately 14:00. That is, in my case, the recording began on December 7 (shooting on December 13) at 13:46.
2. Be sure to fill out your application correctly; if a mistake is made, you will not get into the show. It's better to double check several times. A sample entry will be indicated in the first message. To register, leave your full name, age, phone number and email. How to get there.

Filming takes place in Glavkino (Novorizhskoe highway 26 km, vl. 2). To get here there are three options. Option one is a taxi. Option two, use your personal car, just keep in mind that there is no parking, you will need to leave the car somewhere. The third option is by public transport. Get to the Tushinskaya metro station, from the metro take bus 540, 541, 549 - fare 50 rubles. Buses run frequently, approximately every 7-9 minutes. The drive is about 30-40 minutes. You will need to get off at the Glukhovo stop. From here it's a 15-minute walk to Glavkino. - You will have to walk along the side of the road.

I got there by metro and bus, but decided to return by taxi - it was already dark and walking along the side of the road at night, in my opinion, is not the best idea, besides, I’m not sure when the buses stop running. A taxi to the metro cost 350 rubles (Yandex taxi, I had a promotional code for the trip, without it it would be more expensive, but if there are several of you, you can chip in).

The gathering of spectators was scheduled for 14-30. Actually, when you approach the building, you will immediately see a line, this is your place. A girl sits at the entrance and checks everyone according to the lists. Be sure to have your passport with you! Next there will be a frame with a metal detector. I stood at the entrance for about 30 minutes, keep this in mind and dress warmly) After the checkpoint there will be practically the last opportunity to go to the toilet. The toilet is outside, there are three stalls - and yes, there is a queue there too. Then the spectators are formed into 4 columns. Each column is taken in turn into a “barrack” - an empty box with stairs and flooring around the perimeter (only there are not enough guards). You will have to stand in this room for another 40 minutes or an hour. It all depends on which column you find yourself in. They are taken into the hall in a column, everyone else also stands in the “barracks” and waits. The column is taken out into the street and is now leading to the entrance to the hall. At the entrance, guards take away water and food. Either hide it better, or don’t take any of this with you. They took a bottle of water from me, but they didn’t find any nuts)))) Some even carried water.

The administrator is in charge of seating. The most trump seats belong to the judges of the show, so those who came with posters and spectators are put here in all black. On the set dress code- the top is always black, the bottom is just dark. There is no wardrobe, they ask you to put things under the bench. The benches are uncomfortable, after an hour the whole body becomes numb. Important! there are pauses during the concert, but you can't go out, so you need to sit during the entire filming process (be sure to go to the toilet and don’t drink a lot of water). The room is hot and stuffy. Video and photography is prohibited. But everything is filmed quietly, so that it is not noticeable. If the administrator notices you on your phone while taking a photo, he will ask you to delete the photo.
