  Reconstruction

  On the initiative of the Governor of the Altai Territory Alexander Bogdanovich Karlin in - 2007 was carried out large-scale reconstruction theater building, which was included in the plan of events to prepare for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Altai Territory. The main volume of work was designed for three and a half years, and was completed in record time - in nine months. More than 300 people worked in three shifts to repair the theater building: teams of builders, finishers, plumbers, electricians, welders, tilers, specialists in installing ventilation and air conditioning systems, fire protection systems, installing stage equipment and artistic lighting.

  The architectural reconstruction project was carried out by Toskina Architectural Workshop LLC (AMT-Project) and Altaigrazhdanproekt JSC. Main architector project Evgeny Toskin set the task of preserving what had become familiar to all residents of the regional capital architectural appearance the building is a cultural monument, but make modern changes.

  The façade of the building is now lined with custom-sized slabs of natural granite, specially carved for the theater. The interior decoration is dominated by white, black, red and terracotta colors.

  The auditorium has also changed. The floor is raised by half a meter, the reduction of spectator seats from 852 to 711 pays off in comfort and convenience.   The production and technical premises of the theater were renovated, and a rehearsal hall with an area of ​​220 m² was created.
