This is German producer and singer Frank Farian, creator of Boney M. It was he who sang for Bobby Farrell, although everyone then thought and many still believe that Bobby himself sang. Frank, by the way, never even tried to appear on stage with us. I think Frank was wrong, but that was his firm belief. He said: “Everyone in Boney M is black, but the appearance of a white man in its composition will destroy the image of the group, the public may even turn away from it.” Who would have thought that Boney M would eventually destroy the “mutiny on the ship”!
At first everything was great. The relationship between all of us developed in the most wonderful way. But at some point, a crack suddenly appeared and a serious discord occurred in the group. The reason was the inappropriate behavior of Bobby Farrell and Maisie Williams.

Biography
Born on the island, at the age of 11 she moved to England with her parents who had previously emigrated. I have been singing since childhood, and professionally since then. Liz Mitchell's first acting job was a role in the Berlin version of the cult musical HAIR. Then Liz participated in several musical groups (LES HUPHRIES SINGERS, Malcolm's Locks), and in the year she received an invitation to the project of a West German producer Frank Fariana Boney M., which gained worldwide fame.
Currently, he officially owns the rights to perform under this brand and continues touring. He has his own record label (Dove House Records), where he produces his solo works. Liz Mitchell has released several albums and a number of singles on DHR. In addition, in 2005, the singer recorded an album in the Czech Republic with new versions of Boney M hits. The compositions were performed together with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. In England, the singer is actively involved in charity work through her foundation for helping children and teenagers from disadvantaged families, LET IT BE FOUNDATION. The singer also spends a lot of money on supporting educational institutions in some African countries (in particular, Kenya). June 28, 2007, as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations Boney M., performed a live concert in St. Petersburg in Big Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky". On April 2, 2009, Liz Mitchell and her colleagues presented a unique LIVE concert on the stage of the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall in Luzhniki. The program consisted of 3 parts, one of which was played together with the Russian group of the Ivanov brothers “Sympho-jazz”. Compositions in new arrangements were performed, as well as, in addition to well-known hits, songs of the famous quartet rarely heard on stage. Liz Mitchell is the lead singer of the band Boney M.
She performed most of the female vocal parts during the recording of the discs of the legendary group "Boni M".
She was born in the small Jamaican village of Clarendon. At the age of eleven she moved to England. While studying at school, she began performing in a music group. At the age of eighteen, she performed the role of Donna Summer in the musical “Hair” in Berlin, and sang as part of the Les Humphries Singers ensemble.
Liz Mitchell joined the Boney M group in 1975 and soon became the leading soloist.
