Let us also pay attention to the most feminine word in essence, the most dear to every person, the word “mother”. Its original oldest Indo-European form is the word “mater”. In some roots of the same root, this form can still be felt today, for example, in the words “matter”, “continent”, “seasoned” (“mattery”). According to researchers, the word “mature” (“strong, strong, healthy, old”) was formed incredibly long ago and indirectly speaks of the high position a woman-mother occupied in ancient times. The fact is that in ancient times a woman was an object of worship by a man. A woman gives birth to children. Since ancient times, the symbol of the feminine principle expressed the idea of ​​​​fertility and life. In traditional Slavic embroidery, a diamond-shaped sign has been preserved, divided into four parts with four dots. It was in it that the Slavs put the essence of fertility - this sign signifies both a sown field and a woman’s pregnancy. The whole life of our distant ancestor was permeated with a feeling of unity with the Gods. Hugging her beloved, the Slavic woman sometimes identified herself with the Earth, which once married Heaven. Human love felt like a continuation of the love of the Gods. And a reverent attitude towards Mother Earth, nurturing and fertile, gave rise to the same attitude towards the human woman, her amazing ability to give birth to children. In those distant times, the Slavs lived in large tribal communities. The life of each person was determined by the life of his family - a large family of several generations of relatives. They lived as a large family of several generations of relatives under a common roof or in close proximity, worked together, consumed the products of their labor together, rested together, and observed customs. Accordingly, the life of the clan was decisive for the life of its individual member. For people living in such conditions, the most important thing was to exist in harmony with each other and with Mother Nature. The Slavic traditional family way of life passed from century to century. The head of such a family, according to historians, was a man - “bolshak”, “elder” (for Russians), “domachin”, “gospodar”, “leader”. His wife, the main woman in the family, was called “Bolshakha” (“elder”). The big woman was in charge of all the housekeeping and other “women’s” affairs. And in these matters, the head of the family could not dispose of anything without her consent. All women and men of the clan showed respect and honor to the big woman. As already mentioned, in a traditional family there was no humiliated position for women; a woman’s opinion was respected, and her position depended on intelligence, intuition, fortitude, thriftiness and hard work. It even happened that after the death of the big woman, the energetic big woman often became the head of the clan, and in the presence of adult sons who had their own families. Bolshak and Bolshakha supervised the work of their relatives, and they themselves were the first in the work, setting an example in everything. But the highest authority in the clan was the family council, at which all issues related to the life of the clan were decided: economic activities, rituals, marriage issues. And at this council, men and women had equal rights. Our distant ancestor, first of all, recognized himself as a member of a certain clan and all his life he felt its powerful support and help in difficult situations. There were no lonely old people or abandoned children in this family. According to the laws of the ancient Slavs, the clan was responsible for each of its members: it compensated the offended person or paid a fine. Then the house, of course, went to the guilty party: no longer disgrace the family! And it helped! The man was ashamed before the whole race - both before the living and before the dead and those who were not yet born. After all, according to the beliefs of the ancient Slavs, your Family is not only living relatives, but also many of your ancestors and future descendants. “Until the seventh generation...” Seven generations behind you, 254 ancestors, look like the wings of a bird... Think about what your role is in the endless line from ancestors to descendants.

The age for entry of young people from various Slavic and Aryan Clans into the Sacred Family Union in ancient times remained unchanged for many centuries, and even millennia.

The bride entering the Family Union must be no younger than the Circle of Years, that is, 16 years old. For a young man, family life could only be possible after he reached 21 years of age.
In ancient times, in the great expanses of our mighty Slavic-Aryan Power, called Russia, there were several types of creating a Family Union, for example: Selensky, Vesevy, Triple, World, Clan, Tribal, Priestly, Great, etc.

The Triple Family Union was a long-term agreement on the creation of families between three ancient Clans. According to this agreement, each of the three ancient Clans took brides for their sons from one Clans, and gave their daughters in marriage to the sons of another Clans. That is, the sons of the first Kind received brides from the second Kind. The sons of the second Kin received brides from the third Kin, and the sons of the third Kin, in turn, received brides from the first Kin.

The World Family Union was an agreement on the creation of a family and friendship between two warring ancient Clans. According to this agreement, peace between the ancient Clans was ensured by the creation of a Family Union between the children of the Elderest of each Clans.

From the very beginning of the Life of the Clans of the Great Race on Midgard-Earth, Rituals entered into the everyday life of all Clans of the Great Race, and Tribal and Community life has always been an integral part of the Primordial Faith of the First Ancestors. For example, the birth of a child among Orthodox Old Believers was performed in compliance with certain Rites and Rituals of the Old Faith.

From the earliest years, all children from the Clans of the Great Race and the Heavenly Clans were brought up in accordance with the Heavenly Laws of the Parent Clan: in sincere Love for their ancient Clans-Tribe, in respect for their Native Primordial Faith, History, original Culture and folk Tradition, in respect for elders and care for younger ones, as required by the Ancient Laws of the Family and the Patriarchal way of life.

The Ancient Laws of the Kin-Tribe always brought up in the younger generation a swastika feeling of Love, which itself united four types of love:

Love for the Primordial Faith (Truth) and Gods (Ancestors), which develops the Human Spirit;

These four types of Love helped create a harmonious person from the baby of the Great Race, the future successor of the ancient Slavic-Aryan Family-Tribe, helping him develop and improve in later life, filling his four components - Body, Soul, Spirit and Conscience - with the Divine Light of Love.

The harmonious development of the swastika (quadruple) human system (Body, Soul, Spirit, Conscience) has always been determined by two Great Principles, which were an invariable component of the Ancient Laws of the Family:

“It is sacred to honor your Gods and Ancestors” and “Always Live according to Conscience and in harmony with Nature,” and the swastika feeling of Love favorably contributed to this.

The harmonious development of a person is possible only when all four components are developed in a person from the Clans of the Great Race: Body, Soul, Spirit and Conscience. If you do not develop them all at the same time or develop only one part of the whole, then the harmonious development is disrupted, and this can lead not only to a disruption in the development of a person and the offspring of his Kind, but also to the degradation of a person, and ultimately, to degeneration and the death of the Ancient Family.

In the Slavic and Aryan Clans, small children under 12 years of age were not separated by gender and they were all called the same - child. But at the same time, every boy and every girl was invariably raised to respect the opposite sex. In ancient times, children were dressed in shirts made not from new linen, but always from the clothes of their Parents. The boy's shirt was made from his father's shirt, and the girl's shirt was made from her mother's shirt, this is due to the powerful protective parental force that protects the younger generation and helps to carry out the Lessons given by the Parents and Priests of the Old Faith.

During the Lessons, children were instilled with the concepts of honor, cordial friendship, mutual assistance, loyalty to their word and duty to the Family.
Girls were constantly told that boys are future men, warrior-defenders of the Native Land of their Ancestors, loving and tender spouses, fathers and heads of families, masters who multiply the good of the Ancient Clans, Organizer Gods of the Clans of the Great Race, Guardians of the Ancient Faith and Wisdom of the Clans, and therefore, they should respect and honor boys as well as the Heavenly Gods.

In turn, the boys were constantly told that girls are future beautiful women, called to continue the Ancient Lines of the Great Race, patient creators of comfort in the Native Land of the Ancestors, loving and gentle spouses, caring mothers of many children, hardworking housewives, Guardian Goddesses of the Hearth, and Therefore, boys should respect and honor girls as Goddesses and Heavenly Mothers.

Starting from the age of 7-9, children were taught all the original fundamentals of the Old Faith, Ancestral and general literacy, counting and calculations, writing, natural science, i.e. knowledge that explains the Divine, Natural and Human origins of life on Midgard-Earth.

The education of the children of the Great Race, both Spiritual and physical, among the Orthodox Old Believers is carried out mainly by only men, the heads of the Slavic-Aryan Clans and Family Unions, i.e. Fathers and Grandfathers. The destiny of all Slavic and Aryan mothers is to surround their children with affection, care, love and attention, but they should not indulge the whims of the children, because by doing this they can destroy the pure Soul and bright Spirit of the child, which they begin to indulge.

On the third day after birth, each baby received its first Initial Name, determined in accordance with the ancient Ancestral Law of Lyubomir.

RITE OF COMING OF AGE

When children from the Slavic and Aryan Clans turned 12 years old (108 months) and reached a height of 7 spans in the forehead (124 cm), a new stage in life began for the children of the Great Race.
The entire younger generation underwent ancient Rites of Coming of Age and Rites of Naming, for our Ancestors considered the name an important part of the human personality. “The name is the Path,” says one of S. Alekseev’s heroes in the novel “Treasures of the Valkyrie.”

After undergoing the ancient Rites of the Old Faith, young men and women were considered adults, adults, ready to continue the traditions of their ancient Clans.

If before the Rite of Coming of Age they were under the protection and full support of their Parents, who bore full responsibility for them, then after the Rite of Coming of Age the younger generation bore full responsibility for all their committed acts, words and deeds, as befits an adult.

Boys at the age of 12 received two swords. This meant that in 9 years they had to perfectly master the combat techniques of wielding swords and become warriors, God-defenders of their Family, their Ancient Faith and their Native Land, regardless of their chosen Path and Race.

The girls received a symbolic spindle and spinning wheel; this meant that in 4 years they had to perfectly master needlework, housekeeping, field cultivation and gardening, culinary arts, and child care.

During the ancient Rite of Naming, the Priests of the Old Faith washed away their children's, Original names from children in the Sacred Waters. Moreover, for young men, this Rite took place only in flowing water (river, stream). Girls could undergo this Rite both in flowing water and in still water (lake, creek), or in Temples, Sanctuaries and other places.

The small children of the Great Race entered the Sacred Waters, and nameless, renewed, pure and immaculate people emerged from the Sacred Waters, ready to receive adult (Community) Names from the Priests, beginning a completely new independent life, in accordance with the laws of the Ancient Heavenly Gods and their Clans.

Instead of the Initial name, those who passed the Rites of Coming of Age were given two names: an adult (Community), which was what the Communities called them, and a secret one (Ancestral), which was kept in deep secrecy - and even Fathers and Mothers did not know these names.

The adult (Community) name was known to everyone in the Clans or Communities, the secret (Clan) name was known only to two on Midgard-Earth: that Priest of the Gods who gave the name, and that representative of the Great Race who received it, for the Generic name conveys all the true the essence of a person.

When an Orthodox Old Believer is asked his name, he invariably answers: “They call me...”, and gives his Community name, i.e. the name as he is called in the Family, in the Community, or names the nickname (surname) associated with the symbol of his Family or Clan.

Starting from the age of 12, boys and girls who had passed the Rites of Coming of Age and Naming began to thoroughly study the Ancient Laws of RITA, i.e. Heavenly laws about the purity of the Family and Blood, knowledge and observance of which was mandatory upon reaching a certain age and the creation of a Family Union, as well as Family traditions and professions, the secrets of which were kept in their Family and caste.

TRADITIONS AND SYMBOLICS IN LIFE

CLOTH

Since ancient times, all Orthodox Old Believers wore white clothes, for this color meant not only the Light of the Soul and the Spiritual purity of the Great Race, but also direct belonging to the Heavenly Divine Clans.

Each garment, be it secular, everyday, festive, or priestly hinton, had a special ornament embroidered on it.

Just one look at secular clothing with this ornament was enough to know from which Vesi or locality a person came, what ancient Family or Clan he belongs to, whether he passed the Coming of Age Rite or is under Parental care, whether he is family or not, what caste he belongs to and what level of skill has he achieved?

By the ornament on the priestly robes one could find out which God or Mother of God the Priest or Priestess served, what Ves they were from, at which Temple or Sanctuary they kept the Sacred Fire and brought bloodless sacrifices and Religions.

By the color of the Priest’s belt, one could unmistakably determine the Spiritual level of knowledge and his place in the hierarchy of the Old Russian Church of the Orthodox Old Believers, and by the ornament on the belt one could determine which Spiritual Path this servant of the Ancient Gods was following.

As mentioned earlier, children under 12 years of age were not divided by gender, so the children's clothing of the ancient Slavs and Aryans was the same for boys and girls and consisted of one long, toe-length, linen shirt, and for a boy's shirt a shirt was always used The father's, and for the girl's shirt - the mother's.

In the everyday life of all Slavic and Aryan Clans, secular (Community) clothing was divided into everyday and festive. For example, on everyday women's clothing there was a special protective Tribal symbolism, as well as the necessary information by which one could find out whether she was married or not, which Patron Gods protect the Tribal Family in which she lives.

In addition, a married woman wore skirts and ponevas, on which there was a Tribal or Clan ornament with talismanic symbols, which created for the woman an additional, but very strong, Divine Tribal protective force. This powerful force helped the woman not only run the household, but also take care of for the children. However, a married woman received the most necessary vitality from her beloved husband. Behind him she was like behind a stone wall, for the wife was protected by her caring husband and his ancient Family, which became family to her.

The festive clothes of an unmarried girl were visually different from the clothes of a married woman. On a girl’s dress, the embroidery was mainly on the sleeves and ran along the bottom of the hem, while on a married woman, the protective embroidery covered the hem, chest, collar and sleeves of the dress.

This new kinship was also reflected in the married woman's embroidery. From the old amulet embroidery that was on the girl’s shirt before marriage, the woman used only the amulet symbol of the Goddess of the Patron of Fate and the symbolic sign of the Patron God of her birthday, and not the symbol of her ancient Family into which she was born, For from the Lubomir-Wedding, when the husband carried his wife into the house in his arms, it was believed that she was born into a new Family and from now on her husband’s parents were Father and Mother.

The ritual men's shirt had a bright, colorful amulet Tribal embroidery; in addition, it was longer than everyday or holiday shirts and reached to the heels, for every senior man in the ancient Slavic and Aryan Clans of the Great Race was the guardian priest of the Sacred Fire and brought Requirements and Gifts to the home Fire Altar, located near the Kummira of the Patron God of this ancient Family.

The men's military shirt was of medium size, its length reached to the knees. It was always made of thick fabric, because men wore this shirt under chain mail or other military armor. Men wore military shirts at meetings of the Communities, during the Council, Circle or Veche, as well as at the celebration of Trizna and the celebration of holidays in honor of the Warrior Gods. The community squad wore military shirts in everyday life.

An invariable addition to a man's shirt was a belt. An everyday shirt was belted with a thin half-inch belt or a rope woven from multi-colored braid.

The festive men's shirt was belted with a multi-colored belt with the Ancestral Amulet symbols, and the Ritual shirt was belted with a wide belt of one and a half and two inches.

Military men's shirts were belted with various belts, but only if the shirt was worn in everyday use. When warriors wore military armor or chain mail over their shirts, they did not use a belt, because military armor and chain mail, created with the help of Living Fire, carry the Protective Power of the Gods, in addition, the cut of the collar on military shirts was in the middle.

The belt for any person from the Clans of the Great Race and the descendants of the Heavenly Clans symbolized the Protective Circle of the Gods, who not only protect a person, but also guide him along the Right Path. If a person appeared in society without a belt or his shirt was not girded with at least a rope, then they said about him that he had loosened his belt and could do a lot of trouble, for he does his deeds not according to the Divine and Ancestral Law, but under the influence of dark forces or spirits .

Children, as a rule, before they reach adulthood, i.e. up to 12 years old, they wore shirts without belts (Fig. 8a and 8c), since they were under the Protective protection of their Family and their Parents, for children's everyday shirts were altered, as mentioned earlier, from the shirts of the Parents, for the boy - from the shirt Father's, and the girl's - from her mother's shirt. This is due to the fact that all the shirts of Parents carry protective power to children, and children, trying to be like their Parents, still love to wear their clothes.

After undergoing the ancient Rites of Coming of Age and Naming, many girls continued to wear the clothes of their mothers, but additional Protective symbols appeared on their shirts on the sleeves and on the chest (B), and boys who passed the ancient Rites, in addition to receiving the Protective Ancestral symbols on their shirts, started wearing belts (D).

On the left are some variants of the Ancestral Protective Ornaments that were used when embroidering shirts, belts and other garments, but at the same time on women's shirts there were amulets of Goddesses and Mother of God, and on men's shirts there were amulets of the Patron Gods and Warrior Gods.
In addition, it should be taken into account that the same symbols, being slightly changed, carried a slightly different figurative meaning and meaning.

An example of this could be the protective symbol of Fertility. In one case it symbolizes the fertility of the earth, i.e. a sown field, and in another the fertility of a woman.

Indeed, in both the given cases, the fertile seed of a new life sown by a man of the Race must grow in fertile soil and see the great Light of God.
From time immemorial, the birth of a new life has been considered a manifestation of a divine act. No one and nothing will be born unless there is the will and blessing of the Heavenly Gods.

Therefore, they turned to the Heavenly Gods for a blessing so that a good harvest would grow in the fields and so that the ancient Family would continue and not be left without offspring and an heir, continuers of the Father’s traditions.

To ensure that only healthy children were constantly born in the ancient Family, men for their loved ones cut out a small beregin doll from wind-broken branches of the Sacred Trees, onto which symbols of female fertility and the spiral of the birth of life were applied.

Can we say that all our incarnations we were born in the same Family or even in the same country? Or do we consider this incarnation of ourselves in isolation from the previous ones?

For example, I feel that I was incarnated not only in this country with Slavic roots. And I received support from different ancestral systems, so I feel like a person from the whole world, from the whole planet.

I honor the experience of not only one Kind, but also the experience of all incarnations. I recognize and respect each maternal/paternal supportive teaching system.

But I also feel the integrity of all humanity. I open up and expand to the entire planet. And this is more important to me now than separate frameworks. I want to bring beautiful energies everywhere, without narrowly focused rituals.

For me this is growth, development in unity and love!

Of course, having lived together for several decades, under one roof, people get used to each other, know each other, have a common life, children, friends, etc. But they cannot always be called a real friendly family. Children may not pay attention to their parents, parents may be busy with themselves or with work, the closest relatives may not know about the events that are happening in their family, and it often happens that when asked “what was your childhood like?” we can answer with a dry, gray “yes, ordinary, like everyone else, nothing special.” And this is the best case, we won’t even talk about the worst.

And let us remember how interesting and pleasant it is when, to the above question, a person answers “I had a wonderful childhood, we have a very friendly family and I remember my childhood years with joy.”
I think that our memories are colored in this way by two main components of family life: the mutual love of parents and family traditions or ancestral traditions that unite the family and make it a single whole. I think everyone knows what mutual love is and there is no point in explaining its meaning in a full-fledged family. But what are family traditions and why has it become so rare to talk about it lately - this is a question that we can try to answer.

So, what is it - family traditions and how are they similar/different from family traditions? Remember, most of you probably had very nice, pleasant family traditions in your childhood. For some, they may even still be preserved.

There is no single official definition of this phenomenon; there are only generally accepted concepts that everyone knows. For example, by interviewing my friends and acquaintances, I found out their opinion of what they mean by family traditions. Here are some sayings:

They can help begin to restore these omissions, and we, in turn, will support them and continue this noble cause. Our children, raised within the traditions of the family and clan, will know their history, their roots and will be brought up not by the street and its laws, but by the way of life of the clan, family and the example of their parents, for we are the very first and most important role model for our children.
