Angels and Demons

Throughout the filming of the finale, sparkles and sparkling islands of greenery fly across the hall. And the excitement of the participants heated the atmosphere to the limit. “When I went backstage before the final show, I felt wild excitement from the guys! They were in such a panic, felt such responsibility and so wanted to make the last fashion show cool!

I am very glad that the participants did not waste time. Everyone who left the project within 17 weeks kept themselves in shape and did not forget the expert master classes. And the final fashion shows were carried out like real professional models,” noted project manager Alena Zviryk with a smile.

By the way, there are two final shows this year. The ideological inspirer of one of them was the Ukrainian fashion designer Marina Rybalko. She saw reality participants in the images of fashion angels, disembodied creatures who descend from heaven to the Garden of Eden. And she called the collection Angels and Demons. Its official presentation will take place at the next Ukrainian Fashion Week.

“I closely followed all the seasons of the fashion project New channel. And I realized that I wanted to do a collaboration with Top model in Ukrainian. After all, all the most promising models of Ukraine are collected here! And, you know, I was not mistaken. All the guys are fantastically cool. Tears and nostalgia

As usual, at the final Top models in Ukrainian The Ukrainian fashion crowd gathered: designers, glossy magazine editors, photographers. Designers Serge Smolin, Marina Rybalko, Petr Yasinsky, Kristina Bobkova, Maxim and Margarita Komashnya, fashion photographers who worked on the project - Yuri Mazagaev, Alexander Porubaymykh, Andrey Cherlat, Artem Kobrusev. And also the editor of fashion media - editor-in-chief of the magazine PINK Valeria Kvasnevskaya and site editor ELLE man Roman Timofeev.

Participants from previous seasons of the project also came to see the “new kids.” Max “Fizruk” Sosnovsky and Vika Rogalchuk filmed the backstage of the shows. And a couple of winners are Masha Grebenyuk (third season Supermodels in Ukrainian) and Samvel Tumanyan (first season Top models in Ukrainian) were nostalgic and appreciated.

“The feeling is very exciting,” says the winner of the first season Top models in Ukrainian Samvel Tumanyan. “I watch the show and remember myself a year ago. I know how the finalists feel now, how nervous they are! Such nostalgia... I really want to turn back time a year and now find myself at the end of the podium with Alla.”

She recently returned from China and is waiting for her next contract in Spain. “Today I am a guest, but I feel at home. The “Ukrainian Supermodel” project is an analogue of Tyra Banks’ popular long-running show “America’s Next Top Model”. Thanks to him, ordinary Ukrainian girls have a chance to experience all the intricacies of working in the modeling business and fully prepare themselves for this profession. All participants will face challenging but incredibly interesting challenges, creative photography ideas, as well as exciting trips that will remain in every girl’s memory for a long time. They will have to compete for the following prizes: a photo shoot and interview for the fashion glossy Pink, a contract with the French Marilyn Agency and collaboration with fashion designer Kristina Bobkova.

The launch of such a large-scale project on the territory of Ukraine was a real discovery for everyone who wanted to connect their lives with the modeling industry. That is why more than 1000 Ukrainian girls attended the casting. After a careful selection, the judges identified 15 radically different participants, who would then have to try all the previously prepared tests on themselves. They were treated to photo ops with raw meat, nasty insects and dead fish. In addition, they had to walk along a spinning catwalk, parade on jumpers and with a dog. However, they would not have been able to cope with difficult tasks without the advice of professional judges.

The producers managed to competently select all the jury members, who are the best in their field and represent completely different areas of the modeling industry. The world-famous Ukrainian supermodel became the host and main mentor for the participants. Thanks to her many years of experience in Paris, Milan and New York, she manages to explain to every girl the rules of survival in the modeling business in an accessible and understandable way.

Three judges will help evaluate the professional growth of each participant. – a fashion scout who relies only on her instincts and many years of experience in the fashion industry. – a fashion photographer who has collaborated with the best Ukrainian publications. - fashion show choreographer, singer and artist.

Episode 1

In the first episode, Richard, Sonya and Sergei had to choose 30 potential participants from 200 girls selected at pre-casting. Each model was given only a minute to fully talk about themselves and show all their strengths. The girls surprised the jury members with all sorts of things: they showed off their agility, danced, sang, and even demonstrated acrobatic performances half naked. The thirty selected were given a new task - to take 4 pictures in a photo booth. Based on these photos, Alla Kostromicheva, with the help of other judges, chose 15 worthy participants.

Episode 2

This issue was filled with scandals between Vlada Rogovenko and Nastya Morozova, and all because of the living room. However, the disappointments and disputes did not end there. The next day, the participants were taken to a beauty salon to make drastic changes to their appearance. For their first professional photo shoot, the girls had to transform into plants. Some people got the image of a chamomile and a rose, while others got the image of a moss and a cactus. To support the girls at the first test, one of the judges, Sonya Plakidyuk, became their photographer. The last competition for the girls was a fashion show in a shopping center.

Episode 3

Not all participants in the first season of SMPU had ideal model parameters. To fix this and force girls to watch their figure, the producers invited the famous Ukrainian nutritionist Svetlana Fus. After which, each participant was individually weighed and parameters were measured. On this basis, a scandal breaks out between them again, which almost ends in a fight. The next day, the girls went to the construction site, which served as the backdrop for their photo shoot. Arriving back at the house, mentor Alla Kostromicheva began the long-awaited lesson in proper catwalk. The participants were able to use this knowledge the very next day, walking down an incredibly narrow catwalk.

Episode 4

In this episode, the photo shoot took place in a place that is extremely atypical for fashion – a landfill. The organizers chose the largest Kiev garbage warehouse as the background, which was an unpleasant disappointment for all participants. Such a place was definitely no coincidence. The producers wanted to convey to the viewer the large-scale problem of environmental pollution. At the fashion show, the girls had to work hard, because in addition to the narrow podium, they also got uncomfortable shoes with huge heels. Due to the fact that many of the girls' pairs of shoes did not fit, this fashion show turned out to be one of the most difficult of the entire season.

Episode 5

A new day for the participants began with new challenges. Early in the morning, Richard Gorn woke up the girls and organized a small obstacle course to test their physical fitness. The participants were divided into 2 teams to create a little competition. At the end of the test, another surprise awaited the girls - a fashion show in front of the public. The winning team was given the opportunity to clean up after the mud and swamp, while the losers had to go as they were. The next day, the participants went to the sports complex for a photo shoot, where they had to demonstrate various sports, from fencing to yoga.

Episode 6

This series began the exciting journeys of models around Ukraine. The first destination was Lviv. Even at the railway station itself, the judges gave the girls a provocative check. They were met from the train by a famous Ukrainian journalist who asked tricky questions typical for each model. Not a single participant managed to cope with this task. This week's fashion show was also not the easiest. Each model got a dog as a partner. Some were lucky to parade with a small breed, while others got an unmanageable and large one. For the photo shoot, the girls were brought to a freezer where animal carcasses were stored, and sewn pieces of lard and meat served as costumes. It was especially difficult for Anna-Kristina to cope with this task, since she is a vegetarian.

Episode 7

This week's photo shoot turned out to be one of the most stressful of the entire season for the girls. They needed to overcome their fear of insects and reptiles. Participants had to interact with a spider, a snake, an iguana and a cockroach. As for the fashion show, it also turned out to be very mystical. As ghosts, they had to use a cable to lower themselves from the tower and then parade past the judges. Surprisingly, the girls coped with their fear of heights much better than the brave participants.

Episode 8

In episode 8, the models had their first group photo shoot of the season. However, everything turned out to be not so simple. Photo sessions took place in different places, and the girls, equipped with hiking backpacks and suits, had to visit each location for shooting before sunset. The most modest girl of the project, Lera, was chosen as the leader. During the fashion show competition, the participants had to create their own image, mixing a fashionable unusual style with national Hutsul elements. Most of the models managed to perform well in this competition.

Episode 9

At the time of this issue, the girls were in the mystical Ukrainian city of Kamenets-Podolsky, so the theme of the photo shoot was appropriate. The models brought the image of the witches to life, and in the frame itself they showed their emotions before the execution. As a fashion show, the organizers staged a bright theatrical performance. To make it more difficult for the girls to participate in the competition, they had to parade on high jumpers.

Episode 10

After the mystical Kamenets-Podolsk, the girls were brought to sunny Odessa, where each of them dreamed of plunging into the sea. However, the very first photo shoot brought the models down to earth. They needed to take a nice photo in a boat with dead fish that smelled rotten. Due to the excess weight of some participants, it was much more difficult for them to decide on the angle. This week's fashion show took place on the pier in swimsuits.

Episode 11

Episode 11 began with another fashion show on the pier, however, this time the girls had to walk in uncomfortable tight skirts, which made movement much more difficult. The main task was to effectively remove the elements of clothing and reach the judges in only a swimsuit. This time the photo shoot was without any surprises. The models had the opportunity to star in an advertising campaign for jewelry by a famous designer. Judge Sonya Plakidyuk acted as a photographer. However, this was not the only shooting this week. They also had a photo shoot in the style of Sonya the Golden Hand.

Episode 12

The week started with an interesting photo shoot in the style of Bonnie and Clyde. The girls drove a vintage car, threw money around and smoked cigars. The main prize for the best shot was a meeting with loved ones. The next photo shoot was as candid as ever. They were given three male models to interact with while wearing only their underwear. Many girls were embarrassed, however, the youngest participants showed themselves to be their best.

Episode 13

It was in this episode that the remaining members went to Paris. The first photo shoot in the fashion capital took place in the modern part of the city. The girls needed to be reincarnated as unearthly creatures that had just arrived on our planet. Unusual poses and the right emotions helped them take a beautiful shot. The second photo shoot was radically different in style from the first. The shooting was in Provence style, and the scenery was a field and sheaves of wheat. The participants' fashion show took place in an ancient castle, and the girls themselves had to change 4 looks during the show.

Episode 4

In the finale, the models had a difficult photo shoot - masters of the elements. The elements of water, fire and wind were distributed between the participants. Each of the elements was complex in its own way. For example, a girl with the element of air was suspended and swung on cables. Whoever got the water had to completely immerse themselves in their element and pose at the bottom of the pool. The fire was the hardest thing, since the dress could catch fire at any second.

Nevertheless, based on all the work done, the judges determined that the winner of the first season of the show “Supermodel in Ukrainian” was.

A tall blonde, with a perfect figure, a daring short haircut, expressive facial features and a stunningly charming smile - this is the new Ukrainian supermodel.

Exactly Maria Grebenyuk received the title of winner and the main reality prizes - a trip to New York with Alloy Kostromicheva and the opportunity to become the face of spring Fresh Fashion Day within the framework of Ukrainian Fashion Week.

This girl has come through a thorny and difficult path on the project. Has changed radically, both externally and internally. She was able to beat the strongest rivals and did not break down, even when she was sent home by invited experts from Odessa in the eleventh episode.

Her competitor in the super final was Dasha Maistrenko. This beauty was also predicted to win almost from the casting stage. It’s hard to imagine how the experts managed to choose between such strong super finalists. Two fantastically beautiful and talented girls who became professional, resilient and bright models on the project.

“Dasha has achieved a lot in terms of working on herself. But she still needs to change, become stronger and more confident. She has good prospects, you just need to grow up a little, says the reality host Alla Kostromicheva. - Masha made a breakthrough on the project. I think when she went to the casting, she did not expect that she would reach the finals, much less that she would be able to win. She is a smart and talented girl, she has every chance of becoming a successful model.”

Samvel was able to surprise us, he was able to turn from an athlete into a model. And I am very proud of him. And I am also sure that Vika has a bright future in the world of fashion. She is not just a model, she is a talented designer. And she will succeed!”, said Alla Kostromicheva.

Samvel is Armenian. I was seriously involved in sports for 12 years. Champion of Ukraine in wrestling and combat sambo. The guy had to end his sports career after two operations.

10 guys competed on the show, but only Samvel Tumanyan made it to the finals! And this is not surprising, because he has almost ideal parameters. He is only 19 years old, his height is 185 centimeters, and his measurements are 110-70-100.

Samvel Tumanyan has been involved in sports for 12 years. That is why he can boast of an almost perfect body and texture. Samvel is the champion of Ukraine in wrestling and combat sambo. He had to end his sports career after injuries. He underwent two major surgeries, after which he was no longer able to play sports. But sports discipline completely helped him reach the finals of the show.

Samvel had no modeling experience at all, but he proved himself to be excellent even at the beginning of autumn, which influenced the decisions of the judges.

Samvel Tumanyan appeared during the fashion show of designer Serge Smolin. Also, as part of Ukrainian Fashion Week SS"18, Samvel presented a collection of the Ukrainian brand Komashnya.

In addition, Samvel Tumanyan graced the cover of the international publication Nvrmind, for which he won the right to a photo shoot during the show.
