Feduk

Fedor Andreevich Insarov(born February 9, Moscow, Russia), better known by his stage name Feduk(With English- “Fedýk”) - Russian singer, hip-hop and house rap singer and songwriter. He began his solo career in 2010, and has since released one mini-album and five studio albums.

The debut album “Hotter Season”, recorded together with Toobe, was released on June 3, 2013. In 2013, he recorded the main track for Anton Bormatov’s film “Okolofutbola”: the song became a hit, but began to associate Fedor as a “football hooligan”. Subsequently, he released three albums in a row. In 2014, he participated in “Versus Offseason #2”, where he defeated St. Petersburg’s Yung Trappa (1:2) in a battle. Real success came to Fedor in 2017 after the release of the song “Pink Wine”, recorded together with rapper Eldzhey, which became one of the main Russian-language hits of the year

Biography

Fedor was born on February 9, 1992 in Moscow. From early childhood, he was lucky enough to travel around distant countries: his father’s work required constant business trips abroad. When the boy was five years old, the Insarov family moved to China, and at the age of 11, Fedor ended up in Hungary, where he lived for another four years.

Later, Fedor admits to journalists that he first heard rap in Budapest. The young man was so captivated by this style of performance that he began to try to compose his own songs. There, in Hungary, Fedor met a like-minded person who bore the pseudonym Rodnik. This man began to help the aspiring rapper, and the guys even recorded several joint tracks.

The name Feduk, under which Fyodor Insarov became famous, is also associated with Hungary. The answer to the pseudonym is simple: the fact is that “Feduk” sounds more organic to the Hungarian ear than Fedor. Therefore, in Budapest the young man was addressed in this way.

Father, Andrei Lvovich Insarov, teaches at MGIMO in the department of physical education. Mother - Tatyana Vladimirovna Insarova. There is a brother - Kirill.

2013: “Around Football”

In 2013, he became the author of the title track for Anton Bormatov’s film “Okolofutbola”. The song became an informal anthem for the “football crowd” and brought Fedor some popularity in far-right circles. The song “Tour De France”, released in 2016 after the clash between football fans of the Russian and English national teams at the European Championships in France, is also dedicated to a football theme.

2017: "Rose Wine"

All-Russian fame came to the performer in 2017, when the song “Pink Wine”, recorded together with rapper Eldzhey, became one of the main Russian-language hits of the year. The video for the song was released on November 14, 2017 and became the cause of a conflict between the performers who did not understand the order of names in the title of the video. Two days after its publication, the clip was blocked on YouTube, having previously received two million views. A day later, the video was unblocked, but now Eldzhey was first on the list of performers.

The track “Pink Wine” became the most popular in 2017 according to users of the social network “VKontakte”. Within a year, the song was listened to more than 200 million times.

“Rose wine” settled into our heads more than six months ago and is not boring at all. And after an incredibly funny parody shown on Ivan Urgant’s show, even those who had not heard it before learned about the song. The magic of this track (the video has received more than 60 million views!) is unknown, but the culprits behind the fact that the line “It’s so beautiful here, I stop breathing” sounds in almost every headphone are now familiar to many - it’s Fedor a.k.a. Feduk and Alexey, better known as Eldzhey.

The artists stopped communicating with each other almost immediately after the video was released. Reasons Feduk, aka Fedor Insarov, has already discussed in an interview with Yuri Dudu. the site met with Feduk on the eve of the Moscow concert and asked about correspondence with fans, the new song “Flakes Are Flying Up,” the release of the album and the scar on his stomach. Let’s make a reservation right away: Fedya turned out to be wildly sweet and modest. Gossip girls, keep the sounds to a minimum, let's go!

The hit “Pink Wine” has been on playlists for more than six months and almost no one is still tired of it, not even you, the person who performs it over and over again. What's the magic?

I don’t know, but what we really got was just some kind of audio drug. The chorus is euphoric - I don't know how to explain it. The worst thing is that the song really doesn’t get boring and constantly evokes some kind of unusual feeling, including me - and this happens with every listen! It is very interesting how long she will still be heard and on the dance floors.

Have you resumed communication with Eljay? Will you perform “Rose Wine” together?

No, we still don't really communicate. We are both very busy, we don’t have time for this and, most importantly, there are no common topics. Everyone is minding their own business, and, roughly speaking, no one cares about each other. As for singing the song together... I don’t know, maybe. Anything can happen in life. I have no conflict with him, I am unvindictive and unvindictive. Offensive thoughts do not creep in.

What about him?

I have never heard many sincere things from him. I don't know how to evaluate all this.

You recently returned from Bali, were you able to write new lyrics and tracks there?

In fact, in such places I first feed on emotions, and after some time they overtake me, and I write about it. Yes, I wrote a few choruses there - two or three. But these are short things that I will finish in Moscow.

During your vacation, you didn’t part with your smartphone: you published a lot of photos and funny stories. He rode a motor scooter, danced, sang and just fooled around. There were also beach photos - and everyone noticed that you have a scar on your stomach. How did he appear?

It was a very serious operation on the stomach and intestines that I had as a child. My life was at risk, but now everything is fine. I don’t like to talk about it because I was sick a lot throughout my childhood and spent months in hospitals.

You yourself said that your audience is Instagram is mostly for women. Do girls often write to you and send you their photos? Do you think you could fall in love with your fan? And is it difficult to understand whether they love you for fame and money or just for the fact that you exist?

Yes, they write, but, by the way, they don’t really send me candid photographs. It happens sometimes, but very rarely, and then these are some very young girls.

Insincerity, in fact, can be noticed, but the girls are now (and were before) very cunning. Therefore, sometimes it is really difficult to understand where the truth is and where the lies are. Maybe, of course, it depends on life experience. Now, when something like this happens, I try to transform the relationship into a super-friendly one, but only if the person is really good. Yes, I understand that someone can take advantage of my fame, but let such people themselves be embarrassed for their actions, not me (by the way, now Fedor’s heart is free. - Ed.).

I read a lot as a child, because my mother is a Russian and literature teacher. I read almost everything that was assigned to us for the summer. But now, for the last six or seven years, I read very little, I don’t have a favorite author, I can’t argue with someone about the style of some poet or discuss a book. Everything had already flown out of my head, and the books that I opened relatively recently (Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Three Comrades by Erich Maria Remarque, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho) I couldn’t even finish reading. The problem is that there is no self-organization.

You already had a period of fame after the release of the song for the film “Okolofutbola”, but it quickly passed. Five years later you are a star again. How do you feel about popularity now?

I don’t feel like a star and I’m mediocre about it. Now it’s much more difficult to appear in some public places: if I go to eat in some ordinary place, I begin to catch surprised looks. And I don’t immediately realize what’s happening, because I just came to eat. After a while, people start coming up, taking pictures, asking something... There is such a concentration of attention that I feel awkward. I don’t want to get used to it, because popularity can suddenly disappear.

Many people note that you sing with your eyes closed. By the way, when you give an interview, you don’t always make eye contact either. Where does this shyness come from? And is this shyness?

When I sing, I try to feel and hear the song from within. Sometimes I even forget where I am, and this is normal, typical of creative people and singers. I always sing soulful slow acoustic compositions with my eyes closed. On the contrary, I sing something energetic and danceable with my eyes open and always looking at the audience.

Yes, I always have embarrassment. You see, I'm still just getting used to all this. For me, everything started to happen very abruptly. Previously, I didn’t really give interviews or go to TV shows. There are no problems with clips - there is no fear of the camera.

The other day your new song was released, which fans were really looking forward to - “Flakes are flying up.” Tell me what kind of flakes are and why they fly up instead of down?

Of course, the first association is with snow. But the fact that they are flying upward is quite strange, I agree. I won't relate this song to any specific time of year, because that's not what the song is about. The idea is this: something incredible happens, as if not in reality - so the flakes fly upward, logic is violated. Something just flies up.

"Cereal" is a different style of music compared to "Rose Wine." In most cases, acoustic music is not as popular as dance music, but these songs can become hits among different audiences. For example, songs by the groups “Dancing Minus” and “Lyapis Trubetskoy”. By the way, their music has always been close to me.

Tickets for your upcoming Moscow concert on March 9 are already sold out. Are there any touring plans and when can we expect the new album to be released?

From the beginning of March we are launching a big tour of Russia: 40 cities, more new ones will be added! This is a very interesting experience for me because I will be performing almost every day. After Moscow and St. Petersburg, we fly all over Russia to set the heat. And in the fall, on November 18, we will present a new album at Stadium. It will be almost all dance. I can’t say exactly what style this music has, but it’s nice to dance to and drive a car to. Such a cool dance lounge and house - all together.

Don't you get offended when they call you the Russian Drake? Do you generally like his work?

By the way, I had never even noticed before that I looked like Drake. One time I somehow cut my hair, and everyone started telling me about it. No, I'm not offended. I really like how Drake is developing and how quickly he came to success. In a very short period of time, Drake has achieved great results - more than all Western rappers combined.

Initially, I liked Drake because he was one of the first to integrate singing into rap. I do this too, but a little differently. I don't rely heavily on it and don't copy anything. In general, I noticed that over the past five years everyone has caught up with this wave.

Drake

Why do you even write songs?

If you read and listen to my texts, you will notice a lot of incomprehensible things. I have unusual images, the lines form themselves. I don’t plan anything from the beginning—the words just flow naturally. I understand that this comes from the outside. I guess I have a connection with something supernatural.

Of course, I wonder why I’m writing this down, for whom, what the meaning of all this is. In fact, all my creativity is based on kindness, honesty and warmth... In life, not everything is always smooth, and with my songs I want to make people a little kinder. I pay attention to the emotional moments of life and look at them under a microscope. You know, it’s like in books, when one natural phenomenon is described on four pages. So I pay a lot of attention to describing emotions or phenomena.

Sometimes my texts contain banter. I like this contrast: when famous, successful and wealthy people behave simply, embarrassing people who consider themselves popular, media and talented (we did not understand what exactly Feduk meant. - Ed.) . I can upset them with some simple words, not on purpose, but I like it. The same thing happens in my compositions. I can laugh at someone else and make fun of myself, but without humiliating or offending anyone.

We thank Anastasia Bazarnova for her help in preparing the material!

They say that you quickly get used to good things, but every time he goes on the big stage, he can hardly believe his eyes. “Every time I’m blown away when I see a huge playground, a venue where I might have gone to see some famous musicians a couple of years ago.” But just five years ago, schoolchildren in the back desks were whispering about going to the concert of “the one who sings “Football”.”

Football, hooliganism and brotherly love, in principle, have always been the main themes of his work. There is little romance in his songs, but to “Flakes Are Flying Up,” one of the last, all the lonely girls in Russia have been crying for a couple of months now. Fedya wrote it after breaking up with a girl named Daria, whom he had been dating for more than five years. The reasons for the breakup are unknown (it’s also useless to look for them in the song), but even Feduk’s most ardent fans adored this couple. “In “Flakes” everything is mixed up: some feelings, memories, images...” But they managed to maintain a warm relationship. Dasha still films him from behind the scenes in Stories when he performs, and is almost always in the same company with him. True, Feduk assures: “This is a thing of the past, now there is only music.”

Of course, he’s not thinking about new novels yet: “It’s not that I’m not ready, I’m just not planning – there’s no time at all, there are a lot of things that need to be done, and do them with a completely clear head.” And this is not surprising - he travels through 15-17 cities a month, but nothing compares to the flight to Malaysia, where they filmed the video for “Wine”. “I was sick then, and we flew for 16 hours, of which I did not sleep for a second. I arrived, slept for two hours, shot a video and flew back to Moscow. We flew to Moscow, then to St. Petersburg, and then again to Moscow, and all this in one day.”

He's tired and it shows. Filming, interviews and press attention “for fun” are always only at the beginning, then the same questions start to make you sick. And he is one of those who always loved freedom: words, creative actions - he painted graffiti, hung out with football players and, of course, wrote rap since his teenage years.

Today, even his father, a teacher at MGIMO, has to tell students that they have made a mistake - they say, he is not my son. And this is not surprising - he and Andrei Lvovich are like two drops. “He’s complaining. He says it was funny before, but now too many people have started approaching him.”

Four years of school were not without success, Fyodor learned to skillfully play the balalaika, trumpet and clarinet. In 2004, due to his father’s work, the family left the country and moved to Hungary. Here Fedya learned about rap and hip-hop culture itself. In Hungary, Feduk met rapper Rodnique. Thanks to this acquaintance, a creative period associated with rap began in Fedya’s life.

Full biography

- How did you start?

I started writing lyrics in the year 2009. At first it was just some kind of blank verse, related to romance, failed love, etc. Then it all turned into a more street style...

Quote from interview

- Why did you choose the direction of rap and hip-hop culture?

In my childhood and youth, I spent time listening to punk rock or classical rock, and all these camp activities, campfire songs, all of this left a huge imprint in my heart, in my soul, so I sometimes touch on such topics and sometimes play in such motives or covering these songs, I want to bring this song to the people, because I really like it. But why not some other style, why hip-hop. I had a friend Rodnique in Budapest, to whom the song Budapest is dedicated, he not only instilled in me, he gave me hip-hop to listen to, I really liked it.

"TOGETHER WE STAND" interview. FEDUK

- Why such a pseudonym - Feduk?

In short, I studied at a school in Budapest, in a Russian school at the embassy. I had a buddy there, Rodnique. We painted graffiti, well, we started drawing, the first markers, the first paint and all that. Everyone was called something, well, for example, my brother Kirill - they called him Kiryan. Derived from the name. As a result, they called me something Feduk, they called me that at the age of 12-13.

When I started painting in Budapest, I came up with all sorts of other names for myself, because I didn’t like Feduk at all, and I still don’t like it now. I wrote other names, but then someone told me: “Listen Feduk, Feduk... Feduk seems fine.” I’m like, “Okay, I’ll leave it like this.” and when I started recording the first tracks, I started calling myself that in general.

2013: Season of Hotter

2013 was marked by two events: the soundtrack to the film “Okolofutbola” was released and immediately gained a huge number of views. This time can be considered the start of Feduk's popularity. During the same period, listeners also receive the rapper’s second record, “Hotter Season.”

2014: "Ghetto Space" and "Note Staff"

Feduk's fans receive two new albums, "Ghetto Space" and "Note Staff", which were released in the artist's previous style, which listeners really like. Feduk's participation in the Versus battle in 2014, where Yung Trappa was his opponent, brought him a bright victory, thanks to which Feduk gained great popularity. Feduk's opponent behaved too eccentrically, so the release of the Versus became a meme.

Album "F&Q"

In August 2017, a joint composition with Eldzhey was released: Allj (Eldzhey) x Feduk - “Rose Wine”. This is the time of peak popularity of the rapper, and this work becomes a hit.

Personal life

Fans know a lot about Feduk's work and success, but they know little about the rapper's personal life. It is practically inaccessible. We know that Feduk has a beloved girl, Dasha Panfilova, the date of their acquaintance with whom they celebrate every year on July 27th. We can wish them great happiness.

Feduk and Eljay conflict

- When did the relationship (with Eljay) start to decline?

It was surprising to us that the relationship went downhill. And we asked ourselves this question, why they began to decline and, in short, probably when they began to determine who, what, where. By rights and so on. This is the story. We recorded a song and agreed... Until this moment, draw up an agreement so that you have your own music, I heard about it, but didn’t attach any importance to it, because it’s a sidekick. Alya, everything is in half. This was the agreement at first - everything was cut in half. And it doesn’t matter how long it will be there. We didn't know he would shoot like that...

They send us an agreement where it is written that the music belongs to the label, and everything in general belongs to the label and we have nothing to do with this track, so I, Fedor Andreevich Insarov, have nothing to do with it at all. That is, I kind of gave everything. And we verbally divide the profit in half... They send us an agreement where we are not involved in this song at all. We send you our contract. They say: “No, this is not the right agreement. We can’t cut it in half. We have all the music that belongs to us.” And so the story turns into the fact that from 100%, 35% belongs only to me...

Feduk now

Feduk continues to create new albums. Work is underway on the album, which we should expect in the spring of 2018.

One of the rapidly rising rap artists of modern pop music is a talented author, a capable artist and a handsome man, whose stage name is Feduk. The guy's real name is Fedor Insarov. He was born on February 9, 1992 under the sign of Aquarius, in the capital of the Russian Federation, the city of Moscow. A charismatic leader, affable and friendly, Fedya has had an unshakable sense of purpose since childhood and easily makes thoughtful decisions. Today, the Russian rapper is 170 cm tall and weighs 73 kg.

Life path and beginning of career

During his childhood and adolescence, Feduk made a number of moves, the geography of which extends from China to Hungary. Having lived for 4 years in each country, the best memories remain of Budapest. This is where the artist strives to come and visit friends. Starting at the age of 8, he attended music school, learning to play the clarinet, trumpet and balalaika, which he mastered in four years. Upon reaching the age of 15, while in Europe, Fedor begins to record his first musical compositions, in tandem with his friend Rodnique.

The year 2009 went down in the history of his biography as the time of the creation of the “Dobro za Rap” movement, the founder of which was himself. The participants were his comrades. This year Feduk begins to realize his talent and ability to write texts.
In 2010, his first large-scale creation was released - the album “Moscow-2010”, which contains 18 tracks about friends, tested luck and the deepest disappointments in his life.

Having recorded the soundtrack to the film “Okolofutbola”, in 2012 the composition of the same name, modified many times, gained popularity and love from listeners, bringing the author unprecedented popularity.

In the period from 2012 to 2013, three new albums were released at once, which are called “Hotter Season”, “Note Staff” and “Ghetto Spase”. Participation in the battle, where Fedor’s opponent was Yung Trappa, brings victory and increased status in rap parties.
Over the current year 2017, more than five compositions have been released, among which the track “Rose Wine” received the most popularity.
Each artist’s song is a separate story conveyed through rap. As a rule, the texts touch on vital topics.

Personal relationships

Fedor does not want to disseminate information about his personal relationships, so fans of the artist’s work can only guess from the lyrics of the songs what is happening in the rapper’s life. Only one thing is known - he is not married.
