Dmitry Komarov: “Any public person should get used to the fact that there will be rumors and gossip about him”

One of the main Ukrainian travelers Dmitry Komarov reveals to us the world with all its charms and oddities. Indeed, it simply turns the “world inside out” to show all its beauty, danger and unpredictability.

Our editorial team managed to talk with Dmitry Komarov about his work, plans and new possible projects, and also touched on the topic of gossip, criticism and personal life... About the most expensive season of “The World Inside Out”, the most ridiculous rumor and about the people who played an important role in it life, Komarov said in an interview.

  • You have been working as a presenter for many years, traveling around the world, learning a lot of interesting things about other peoples, countries and amazing places. Are you happy with your life? Are there times when you want to give up everything?

Of course I'm happy. This is my lifestyle, and this is the business that I chose myself. “The World Inside Out” is my child, which I continue to raise and develop. But despite the fact that this is a bright and interesting life, on the other hand, it is very difficult. There is a downside to The World Inside Out. Night editing, filming for 120 days without days off, life in constant travel and often without comfort. Moments when you want to give up everything happen regularly. But in the end, when I finish the program, I see the reaction of the audience and good ratings, I understand that it’s not time to quit yet, because people are waiting for the continuation. We look at the globe and understand that there are still many bright seasons ahead and everything that we have not yet had time to show.

  • You have such tremendous experience in creating your own program. Have you thought about making a short film, a documentary about Ukraine, for example?

Of course, I thought that over time it would be possible to change the genre and also try my hand at filming a full-fledged documentary. Many of our series are essentially documentaries, special issues, and not just entertaining episodes. Take, for example, our programs about Fukushima. This is already a journalistic investigation. There was a series about Hiroshima and Nagasaki - also not quite the classic “The World Inside Out,” but a kind of documentary release. Someday we will come up with both a short film and a film. About Ukraine, too, of course.

  • You said that in Africa, when you filmed the program, you had to pay at every step. What is the most expensive country in the entire history of the World Inside Out program?

Even though you have to pay for everything in Africa, the most expensive country is Japan. A train ticket there alone costs more than a hundred dollars. And we traveled by train almost every day. In Tokyo, literally in a few days you lose a hundred dollars just for travel. In Africa you have to pay for every step. This is not the case in Japan, but if they already take money there, it’s impressive amounts, especially when it comes to fees from famous people. As an example, I would like to give a samurai who is able to cut a bullet on the fly with his katana sword. Experiments are being conducted in which a rubber bullet is fired from a pistol, and the samurai manages to pull out a sword and cut it in half. This is filmed on a slow motion camera. Of course, we wanted to conduct such an experiment during the expedition to Japan. We found the samurai's contacts, wrote to him and received an answer that the cost was 10 thousand dollars plus 8% tax for 1 shot. We explained that we were not ready to pay that amount for 1 frame, to which we received the answer that there was no bargaining. True, he offered us to cut up a tennis ball instead of a bullet, which was spit out by a special machine. One tennis ball – 2 thousand dollars plus 8% tax. So this shooting never happened :)

In Japan, the average salary is 3 thousand dollars and above, and pensions are 1.5 thousand. People there are not in need, so they often ask for really high fees. That's why Japan is our most expensive season.

  • We can’t help but ask about another show in which you took part. Has your life changed in any way after Dancing with the Stars? Do you continue to communicate with Alexandra Kucherenko? Did they even know that you were supposed to have an affair with “Miss Ukraine 2016”? Were you flattered by this?) There are a lot of questions, but let's start with the first one, and then the rest :)

My life hasn't changed much. I evaluate participation in the show “Dancing with Stars” as a positive experience. It was a very interesting and difficult test. Indeed, I myself would never have taken up dancing so closely in my life. Despite the fact that my choreographic success cannot be called outstanding, I really trained very hard. Spent at least 6 hours a day in the gym. It was hard for me, but I still gladly agreed to take part in the project, because for me this is a kind of “The World Inside Out” plot, in which I tried a new profession - the profession of a dancer. During my participation, I still mastered some basic elements, and this will definitely come in handy when filming somewhere in the same African countries. If I go to a tribal festival, we will dance some samba there together. Therefore, “Dancing...” was a very cool experience.

We continue to communicate with Sasha. We have good friendly relations. We can call you at any time to discuss any issue. We don’t see each other too often, but after “Dancing...” we crossed paths and talked. Sasha is an erudite, smart, interesting person with whom you can talk on any topic.

I'm used to being credited with having affairs with every girl I took a photo with somewhere. I think any public person, and especially a bachelor, should be prepared for this. I keep my personal life secret, I separate it from the public one, and I think everyone has become accustomed to this too.

  • Many people praised you very much and were even proud of your perseverance in dancing, but there was also criticism towards you. How do you deal with criticism?

I treat criticism adequately and self-ironically. I believe that life is much easier for a person who knows how to laugh at himself. There was even a number in “League of Laughter” about my participation in “Dancing...”, where, according to the script, my fan took me captive. Then I gladly agreed to this number. In “Dancing...” I did not take criticism deeply, but I treated it normally, without offense, since I myself am not a dancer. At the same time, in my main activity I try to do everything perfectly.

  • Curious to know how you feel about rumors about yourself? What's the most ridiculous thing you've heard?

Any public person should get used to the fact that there will be rumors and gossip about him. Any little fact, passed from mouth to mouth, is sure to become overgrown with non-existent details. That's why I'm used to gossip.

We have already touched on the issue that if you take a photo with someone, you will definitely have an affair with her. I remember many years ago, when Solomiya Vitvitskaya became the presenter of “1+1”, she admitted that her mother was a fan of mine and kept my reports from the newspaper “Izvestia”. Later we somehow crossed paths at an event in a cinema - me, Solomiya and her mother. I met my mother, and the photographer took a picture of the three of us and posted the photo on the Internet. And then rumors appeared that since I was in the photo with Solomiya and her mother, then we were definitely dating. Solya and I laughed then. I tell her: “Look what they write in the comments, we are dating!” And she said to me: “What, maybe we can post one more photo so that everyone can be sure?”

  • Who played a significant role in your life? Or did you come to everything in your life on your own, without instructions or help?

I created the “The World Inside Out” project myself, based on my ideas about what kind of travel program I would like to watch.

If we talk about which people played an important role in my life, then I believe that the origins always come from my parents. Personality is formed from childhood. For example, my love for photography comes from my father. We had a collection of 13 or 17 cameras at home, because my father was actively involved in photography in his youth. At the age of 12, I became so passionate about this business that for the next five years I devoted all my time only to photography. Through her I got into journalism. I took photos of stars under concert halls, brought them to the editorial office, and that’s how I entered this circle.

I probably got my love for extreme sports from my grandfather. He was the head of an anti-hail and anti-avalanche expedition in the North Caucasus. They shot into the clouds as the hail clouds approached. I often came to the Caucasus for the summer holidays, my grandfather’s stories sank into my soul.

  • We know that you do a lot of things for your program yourself. What is the most difficult part of your job and are you thinking about adding to your team? Maybe you’ll decide to add a third person to the “The World Inside Out” team, or are you already comfortable?

We don’t need a third person, because in such a small team as ours there is an undeniable bonus: Sashka Dmitriev and I can always sit together on one motorcycle and get anywhere. Even if we have a guide and driver, four of us can go anywhere in one car. We look inconspicuous and do not attract attention. Local residents quickly accept us and open up to us, showing their real lives. This is the uniqueness of our program. Traveling together, we manage to literally “dissolve” in the local population and see their real life. There are no staged shootings in our project.

He has scoured the whole world and surprises fans with unusual photos from the most secret corners of the planet. By education he is a transport engineer, by passion he is a photojournalist. Meet Dmitry Komarov, host of the incredibly popular extreme travel show “The World Inside Out.”

Brief biographical information

  • Date of birth, zodiac sign - 1983, June 17, Gemini (according to the eastern calendar - Pig);
  • Height and weight – 180 cm, about 77 kg;
  • Place of birth – Kyiv, Ukraine;
  • Higher education. NTU (National Transport University) – engineer, KNUKiI (Kiev National University of Culture and Arts) – public relations specialist;
  • Marital status: single. There is a brother Nikolai, a sister Angelina.

Dima's childhood, beginning of his career

The future star of the Ukrainian channel “1+1” and the Russian channel “Friday” was born in the sunny and hospitable city of Kyiv before the collapse of the USSR, in 1983. Modest and not at all public, Dima’s parents managed to create a strong family and raise wonderful children. In addition to Dima, his father and mother also have twins, Nikolai and Angelina. Dima remembers his parents from early childhood as cheerful and sociable: there were always guests in the house, emotional parties were held with songs and interesting conversations. The boy was sent to a music school for piano class (a common thing in Soviet families at that time), where he studied for six years.

In the photo are the parents of Dmitry Komarov.

Interesting fact about brother and sister. Dmitry recalls that he really did not like being an only child, and he persuaded his parents to “give” him a brother or sister. He was looking forward to the addition of his family with great excitement when his mother started going to the doctor, and it was already clear that someone would be born soon. A boy - this was the result of an early ultrasound, but... after his brother, a sister was born!

When the parents were away, the older brother was entrusted with looking after the naughty twins. Dmitry loves his brother and sister very much, they have also achieved success in life. Brother Nikolai is involved in computer games (developing 2D games using the Unity engine), sister is a hairdresser-stylist.

Happy childhood of Dima..

At the age of 12, he already tried himself in the field of journalism, writing articles for the school newspaper. The management of the Ukrainian weekly Telenedelya was incredibly surprised when Dmitry, as a 17-year-old boy, came to the editorial office and seriously proposed his candidacy for the staff of correspondents. According to the law, at this age it was impossible to hire a child; written consent from the parents was required. They gave it without objection: is it bad that the son already wants to earn money himself?

There was also parallel collaboration with the publications EGO and Playboy. “What does travel have to do with the latest magazine?” – readers of numerous biographies of Dmitry think in surprise, where this fact is necessarily indicated. Not everyone knows that in addition to the “frank” section, Playboy also has a travel section, which is where Dima wrote articles, and, according to him, the pay was very good.

This was after two universities. Two - because at first Dima Komarov entered the Kiev National Technical University as an engineer. Why did he go there - even his parents were incredibly surprised, because everything pointed to the young man’s creative nature and the fact that he would be a correspondent. After graduating from the Transport University, Dmitry goes to get a second higher education to his liking - at the University of Culture and Arts.

Then - successful work at Komsomolskaya Pravda; for six years he was a specialist there. correspondent. At the same time, Dima worked for several years at the publication Izvestia in Ukraine (since 2007).

He began traveling the world and taking interesting photographs of picturesque places on the planet while still a student. Dmitry immediately decided to move away from standard “clichés” in his travels: he photographed large cities and capitals of countries, of course, but he was more interested in small villages, remote places with unusual, mysterious stories. He made his first trips completely alone, believing that loneliness is the main “engine” in the naturalness of the information that a nature photographer receives; it helps to collect “pure” facts about the exotic tribes with which contact is planned.

In 2005, viewers were offered the first reportage-exhibition about Africa (it included photographs taken in Tanzania and Kenya). Then Dmitry made an exhibition about Nepal. The next series of photos was dedicated to India (it was published under the title “Indosutra”). During his trip to India, Komarov won two records at once: he was the first foreign correspondent allowed to be cremated on the banks of the Ganges River, and the figures “20 thousand km in three months” were included in the Ukrainian Book of Records.

The photo reports were a great success, but the two-dimensionality of the photographs was not enough for their author. The photo, according to Dima, could not fully convey the beauty and originality of the exoticism that he witnessed.

Volume, play of colors, sounds - all this should be in a television program that will show the viewer not the standard “sleek” views of the Earth, but something new, shocking, so that it will take your breath away. With this thought in mind, Dmitry Komarov and his friend Dmitriev Alexander went to Cambodia with a film camera. It was not possible to find a sponsor for this dangerous journey, and the friends decided to make a report with their own money.

Creation of the “The World Inside Out” program and its resounding success

A trial episode, the so-called “pilot,” was offered to the Ukrainian channel “1+1” and aired in December 2010. The success exceeded all expectations: a fascinating report about the culture of Cambodia, facts about mysterious rituals, the presenter himself, who presented information in an original way - all this convinced the channel’s editors that the program was a real find. Footage of local residents eating poisonous spiders, filming of the country's brothels, a story about a tribe of cannibals - this is what shocked viewers saw in the first episode of "The World Inside Out", and of course, they began to write, call, and ask: when will the next program air, where will the fearless leader go further?

Vietnam, Indonesia, India, several African countries - this is an incomplete list of places where Dmitry filmed his program. By 2016, together with cameraman Dmitriev, he had processed so much material that this allowed him to receive another nomination in the Ukrainian Book of Records. It is called “the maximum number of tourism programs filmed by a minimum film crew.”

In any country, Dima tries to find unusual and interesting information. In Mexico, he visited Hemingway's house, where the writer created his most famous works. Dmitry conquered Everest (2016), risking his life and reaching the highest point on the planet. In Nepal, he visited the epicenter of an earthquake (magnitude 5.5) and filmed what was happening.

The journey through the kingdom of Mustang was remembered by viewers of “The World Inside Out” because the host of their favorite show almost died: some higher powers protected him from a fatal outcome. They had to get to the city of Jompson by plane, and there Dmitry met a mysterious hermit (by the way, his fellow countryman!), who dissuaded him from flying by air. Dmitry doubted whether it was worth taking a car: the road is very dangerous, and besides, the cost of renting a car is several times more than plane tickets. Still, we went in a jeep, miraculously survived the collapse, and when we got to Mustang, we found out that the plane we were supposed to fly on had crashed!

The journalist’s “trick” is to celebrate the New Year not in a hotel room or even in a tent, but in an unusual place in nature. While traveling in Kenya, Dima was on January 1... in a distant tribe of cannibals: “I’m still in shock, how did they not eat us?” In Bolivia, on the night from December 31 to January 1, he put on “crampons” (special alpine equipment on his legs) and alone began to climb Mount Huayna Potosi, where he celebrated the New Year with a Ukrainian flag in his hands at an altitude of 6 thousand meters.

The year 2017 passed for Dmitry under the sign of Japan. He was admitted into the secret world of sumo fighters, communicated with representatives of the yakuza (due to a slightly unfortunate comment he was almost killed, but brilliantly came out of a dangerous situation). Dima climbed the “suicide rock” in this country and tried to uncover the secret of the high suicide rate in Japan. While climbing, he met a woman named Yayo and talked her out of committing suicide. “I then descended and thought that this was not just an ascent, but a mission whose purpose was the price of human life.”

Dmitry Komarov and social networks, his charitable activities

The journalist is an active user of social pages: photographs and travel clips are very popular among his fans in RuNet and abroad. Everyone: viewers of the program, visitors to Instagram, VK, Facebook, the management of “1+1” and “Fridays” - have long been convinced that not only exclusive information is the key to the success of “The World Inside Out”. He himself is an incredibly interesting person, charming and open, with an amazingly kind smile. In the most difficult situations, he “keeps his mark” and maintains composure, describing with humor moments that at first glance are not funny at all.

Dmitry Komarov and Nadya Dorofeeva managed to raise money for the operation of four-year-old Stas.

Under the tag “cup of coffee,” Dmitry runs a charity program, the proceeds of which go to seriously ill children. The essence of the program: people are encouraged to donate a purely symbolic amount to a fund to help children who need complex, expensive surgery. “Give up one cup of coffee, one pack of cigarettes, put one liter of gasoline in your car tank less, and don’t drink a bottle of soda. You won’t even feel that you have less money, but for some this is life! Let's prove that people can perform miracles, and a cup of coffee can stop death!” - this is how Dima calls on people to do good.

There is no shame or conscience among the scammers, who even here do not hesitate to get rich: Dima’s Instagram and Facebook pages have been hacked countless times, trying to gain access to the accounts where donations are received. Dmitry's team on social media networks (his most active assistants are Nadya Dorofeeva and Alena Semenit) constantly warns those who want to help children not to “be fooled” by hacked or fake pages, and not to give a “cup of coffee” to deceivers.

In the photo, Dmitry Komarov and Alexandra Kucherenko in the TV show “Dancing with the Stars.”

In October 2017, Dima Komarov amazed everyone with another noble deed. He participated in the Ukrainian project “Dancing with the Stars” and at the final stage, together with his partner Alexandra Kucherenko, made a joint decision to leave the program, losing leadership to the duet “Yuri Tkach - Ilona Gvozdeva”. The couple donated all the funds that were collected from SMS messages sent to the address “Komarov – Kucherenko” to the fund for sick children. It was rumored that Dima began a romantic relationship with this girl during the filming of the program, but both participants in the show ignored the rumors.

Personal life and latest news

The alleged affair with the brilliant Sasha Kucherenko is most likely not a fact, but the reaction of Dima’s fans to his absolute “ignor” when questions about his personal life are asked. Open to the whole world, able to find a common language with shamans, cannibals and the yakuza, he is completely closed to everyone in terms of personal details. “What is this, a game for the public, a desire to “warm up” popularity with a secret?” - some envious people grumble. Does he really need to artificially increase his rating? He’s just modest, doesn’t like to put his personal things on display, and probably hasn’t met his true love yet, since he still doesn’t have a wife or children.

Dmitry Komarov with his brother Nikolai and sister Angelina.

Some literal bits of information about the “matters of the heart” of the star of an extreme TV show sometimes leak into the press, though without names. Allegedly, he is so attractive and sincere that in almost every country he has a fleeting romance. Dima himself does not deny the fact that he fell in love with foreign women several times, but his chosen one for the “post” of his wife will only be a Ukrainian. “Lent” - because it is not only a joy to live with such a wonderful person, but also difficult work: enduring constant absences, watching with bated breath as your husband climbs a high cliff or talks with savages.

About his statements about the fact that the “best” girls in the world are Ukrainian, the media also criticized him many times. Dima explains his sympathy for his fellow countrymen without being “linked” to the national issue. I, he says, can find a common language and live for a long time with a girl who was raised in the same environment as me. The same upbringing, a similar group of children and teenagers, a university in the native country, the same films and even cartoons watched - all this forms a similar mindset that Dmitry’s future chosen one should have. “When I meet someone with whom we are on the same wavelength, then I’ll start thinking about family,” he invariably says. And when they ask him if he even has a permanent girlfriend, he smiles and answers: “Happiness loves silence.”

Instagram komarovmir.

In 2018, Dima Komarov continues to work fruitfully and shoot new reports. But this is not the limit of his creativity: he is currently writing a book; its preliminary announcement was released at the beginning of the year. According to him, the book will be a symbiosis of advice from an extreme traveler; it will include rare recipes from exotic countries, photos that were not included on social networks, even detailed maps of the places he visited. Dima dreams of this book becoming an alternative geography textbook for schoolchildren.

  • His grandparents lived in Nalchik, his grandfather headed the anti-hail and anti-avalanche services of the region. Is it not by inheritance at the genetic level that he is drawn to dangerous places?
  • He trusts his hair only to his sister Angelina - he gets his hair cut exclusively in her salon.
  • Dmitry spent a lot of time in the Elbrus region as a child, and as an adult he came there to practice free-riding (descent from the mountains not on ski tracks, but on clean snow).
  • Even before the Ukrainian “Dancing with the Stars,” he tried himself as a dancer, starring in a video in Japan with a famous pop group.
  • The ideal vacation, he says, is a ride on a four-wheeled chopper. Explaining this strange choice, Dima quotes experienced motorcyclists: “Four wheels carry your soul, but two only carry your body.”
  • He is so charming and irresistible that even native women cannot resist his masculine attractiveness. In New Guinea, a Papuan woman persistently rubbed against his shoulder, suggesting that he “take a walk in the forest.” The translator also said that the girl asked to convey to the “white deity”: she agrees to marry him.
  • It is quite possible that one of the journalist’s upcoming reports will be about his native Ukraine: “In Ukraine, too, there are places where you can greatly surprise both yourself and the viewer.”
  • Dima travels strictly alone with the operator, but there is one more person to whom Komarov has expressed public gratitude many times for his help in creating the program. This is “voice-over”, director-editor Vitaly Naryshkin.
  • Continuing to raise funds under the “cup of coffee” tag, the journalist is seriously thinking about creating his own charitable foundation.

Ukrainian journalist, TV presenter and photographer. Known as the author of the program "The World Inside Out" dedicated to traveling around the world.

Biography of Dmitry Komarov

Dmitry Komarov born and raised in Kyiv. He has a brother Nikolay, who creates computer games, and a sister Angelina- stylist-hairdresser. Dima graduated from 6 classes of music school, piano class.

Komarov was interested in journalism since childhood and began writing articles for periodicals at the age of 12. At 17 he began working as an editor in a weekly magazine. "Television Week".

As a journalist, Dmitry collaborated with dozens of print publications, including "Playboy" And "EGO"; for 6 years he was a newspaper correspondent "TVNZ". From 2007 to 2010, Komarov worked as a special correspondent for the newspaper "Izvestia in Ukraine".

Dmitry studied at the National Transport University, where he received an engineering degree. He later graduated from the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, becoming a public relations specialist.

One of Dmitry Komarov’s favorite hobbies is professional photography. The journalist's exhibitions have been held several times in Ukraine and Russia.

In 2017, Dmitry took part in the Ukrainian versions of projects "Dancing with the Stars" And "League of Laughter" .

Television career of Dmitry Komarov

After he turned 25, Dmitry seriously thought about creating his own television show. The idea to create the “The World Inside Out” program appeared while traveling in Thailand. Then Dima realized that photographs could not convey and tell what he saw with his own eyes. By that time, he had already independently traveled to more than 20 exotic countries, being a great travel enthusiast. Thus, his expedition to India in 2008-2009 was included in the Ukrainian Book of Records: Komarov managed to travel 20 thousand kilometers across the country under his own power in 90 days.

Money was not immediately found for filming a new project, since Komarov was unknown to anyone at the time, and the program might not have received the desired success. Therefore, Dima and his faithful comrade and cameraman Alexander Dmitriev went on the first expedition to Cambodia at our own expense.

“Returning to Kyiv and making newspaper publications, photo reports and photo exhibitions, I suddenly felt that I lacked the ability to convey the three-dimensionality and volume of what I saw. When these thoughts appeared, I began to take a “soap box” on a trip and shoot small videos - to train,” admitted Dmitry.

The idea of turning a hobby into an interesting project turned out to be successful: December 11, 2010 TV show "The World Inside Out" first appeared on TV screens on the Ukrainian TV channel “1+1”. This moment was preceded by an exciting journey lasting several months. The first country that Dmitry Komarov wanted to show the audience was Cambodia, mysterious and little-known in the West.

Positive reviews of the project and high interest from viewers became the reason for the extension of the program for the next season, and then others. Dmitry is not afraid to climb into the most amazing and sometimes hard-to-reach places. And that's what makes his show so popular.

Dmitry Komarov: “We have to carry a lot of things with us, because we are trying to go through each country from A to Z, which means we have to climb mountains, and we need appropriate shoes and equipment there. In the tropics - completely different clothes. The rainy season also has its own peculiarities. Besides, there are only two of us.”

During expeditions, when he begins to miss home, he listens Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and his group "Elsa's Ocean".
- He goes surfing.
- Regularly helps children who need treatment. In the future he wants to create his own charitable foundation.
- Dmitry Komarov became the first journalist who was allowed by the Indian government to film the cremation procedure on the banks of the Ganges River. - The presenter’s talisman when traveling is the flag of Ukraine.

Many have heard about the young host of the “World Inside Out” program on the Ukrainian channel “1+1” Dmitry Komarov. The biography and personal life of the young man is of interest to many, firstly, because he is handsome, and secondly, he is quite secretive, and almost nothing about him is known to most TV viewers. Let's try to correct this mistake and tell more about Dmitry's life.

Dmitry Komarov: childhood

Dmitry Komarov was born in 1983, his biography began in the capital of Ukraine. His zodiac sign is Gemini, which means that Dima is a free, creative and unpredictable person. This is true! Since childhood, Dmitry has loved adventures and travel; he is the kind of person who cannot just sit at home, doing everyday things.

And even the usual work schedule - from 9 to 17 - Dima cannot tolerate either. Therefore, when applying for a job, he immediately warns his superiors to assign him irregular working hours.

In his interview, Dmitry admitted that he had not been lying on the couch with a book for a long time. He simply does not accept this lifestyle; he needs constant changes, constant activity. He can't stand routine, otherwise he might even get sick. This is the attitude Dima has developed since childhood.

In addition to Dima, the family also had a brother and a sister; the noisy Ukrainian family often hosted receptions and song evenings. The boy inherited musical talent from his parents, for this reason he was sent to a music school to learn to play the piano. However, he did not receive a serious musical education.

Dmitry recalled that as a child he asked his mom and dad to give him a brother and sister. When the boy was six years old, his mother decided to fulfill his request.

An ultrasound predicted a boy, but a surprise awaited her during the birth: after the boy, a girl was born. So mom and dad became the parents of charming twins, and Dima, as he asked, immediately received a brother and a sister.

Later, Dima raised his brother and sister when his parents went away somewhere. He told how he used a special pedagogical technique called the “horse”: he pinched the skin under the knee, it hurt, but it was effective. The children immediately obeyed thanks to this technique. Also, when they began adolescence, and they did not obey their older brother, the measures of education were already more serious.

Dima’s creative abilities were revealed quite early: he felt his journalistic talent already at the age of twelve!

It was at this age that he began to write his first articles, which were published in serious publications! Dima's other exciting hobby was photography; he loved to take pictures of everything he saw. Very soon this hobby became his profession.

The beginning of a creative career

At the age of seventeen, the editor-in-chief of the weekly periodical Telenedelya was amazed by the appearance in his office of a young man who asked to hire him as a photojournalist. However, the boss agreed, then we had to ask Dima’s mother to give written permission so that her minor son could be hired. From then on, a very interesting life began for the guy. This was the beginning of the creative biography of Dmitry Komarov.

Dima enthusiastically took photographs and supplied his photographs to the editors of the publication for which he worked. This was the case until I graduated from school, and then I had to choose a higher education institution. It would seem that the future type of activity has already been determined for this young man, because he has already found a job to his liking.

But to everyone’s surprise, Dima chose not the journalism department, but the transport university. Maybe the guy's parents forced him to get an engineering specialty? Dmitry is silent about this.

But after graduating from the first university, Dima for the second time began to receive education according to his interests. Dmitry graduated from the Kiev University of Culture and Art.

While studying at universities, Dmitry did not give up his hobby. He continued to work as a journalist and photojournalist. After Teleweek, he was accepted by the editors of the fairly well-known newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. Then for some time he wrote articles for magazines: “Playboy” (don’t let readers be confused by the title) and “EGO”. From 2007 to 2010, Dmitry worked as a journalist at the newspaper Izvestia Ukrainy.

But Dmitry’s dearest hobby remained photography all these years. Soon he began organizing his own photo exhibitions in Russia and his homeland. In order to “catch” the most successful shots, the young man began to travel a lot around the world.

"The World Inside Out"

Traveling was Komarov's second passion; he found pleasure in traveling around the world, seeing various new places, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Sometimes he didn’t know where he would have to spend the night or what he would eat. It all seemed so unimportant. This romantic mood soon spread to his friends, and he began to travel more than once.

While traveling around the world, the most beautiful photographs were born, but they were not able to convey all the beauty of the surrounding nature. Then it occurred to Dmitry Komarov to film his travels and then show them to everyone on television. Thus was born the idea of creating my own television show, which soon became known as “The World Inside Out.” It was hosted, of course, by Dmitry Komarov himself. He is a truly amazing person, with a unique biography!

Komarov in the program “The World Inside Out”

In 2010, the first program “The World Inside Out” was broadcast on the Ukrainian channel “1+1.” Now, on all his trips, Dima was accompanied by a film crew, and if he had to climb a tree or in the mountains, a cameraman would climb behind him with a camera.

Dmitry, as befits a presenter, only talked about the surrounding nature and the country. Thanks to his amazing biography, Dmitry Komarov was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine. This happened after his ninety-day trip to India, when he walked more than twenty kilometers.

Soon his television project brought the author great popularity, and, to be honest, considerable income. Dmitry became quite a famous person in his homeland, and soon in Russia. He mainly showed travels to exotic countries (Asia, Africa, India), talked about the peculiarities of culture, food, accommodation, and life.

Dmitry learned to quickly find a common language with the local population, because in order to film an interesting program, you need to come into contact with the residents of this country.

Dmitry admitted that he had discovered a talent - scanning a person in order to get in touch with him. There were also funny cases. For example, one resident of Africa was afraid of Dmitry because he had never seen white-skinned people in his life. He was even afraid to shake his hand when they met, but thanks to Dmitry’s communication talent, after a few minutes they were sitting together and talking cheerfully.

Another funny incident happened to Dmitry in one of the African countries, where he was fed the genitals of a goat. He, of course, found out about this later, after lunch. But when traveling, Dmitry still misses home, he admitted this in an interview. It was especially difficult for him on the 90-day journey.

"A cup of coffee"

The idea of doing charity came to Dmitry by chance: while sitting on social networks, he was thinking about how many children suffer from cancer.

And then he came up with an idea: to call out to his friends on the site - to give up one cup of coffee a day, and give the saved money to patients for surgery.

Komarov received the Most Handsome Man of the Year award

It cannot be said that this good intention was immediately supported; some were embarrassed to transfer such small amounts. But Dmitry was able to persuade them, and the “Cup of Coffee” charity movement was formed.

Now Dmitry can already boast of saving the lives of dozens of children! The movement really began to help many people get rid of the deadly disease. Those who received too much money were divided with those who did not have enough for the operation.

Personal life

Dmitry Komarov has never been married at the moment; probably his intense creative biography does not allow time for arranging his personal life. And he never goes into details. The only thing he said about his personal life was that at the age of 12 he was in love with a girl. This was the first love in the biography of Dmitry Komarov. Ready to turn “The World Inside Out,” he does not want to reveal the reason for his loneliness.

The man who won the title “The Most Handsome Man” remains single for now. There were rumors that his girlfriend left him and told him about the breakup right before filming over the phone. But the strong-willed young man did not lose heart, but finished filming as if nothing had happened.

There is also a version about his affair with his partner in “Dancing with the Stars” Alexandra Kucherenko. But how this will end, time will tell.

He is a very charming and pleasant young man, passionate about his profession and loves to travel. The host of the program about extreme travel “The World Inside Out” spends most of his time away from home, but even in distant countries he has not yet found the one that could become part of Dmitry Komarov’s personal life.

But he does not seek to find a bride in some exotic country, believing that the most beautiful girls are his compatriots. Moreover, he believes that if the wife is a foreigner, then a language barrier arises in the family, preventing the spouses from understanding each other, which can result in a real disaster.

The presenter admits that he met unrealistically beautiful girls while traveling around the world, but after the first moments of communication he realized that they were too “different” to create a strong union in which love and mutual understanding would reign.

In addition to mutual attraction between a man and a woman, there must be something more that will fuel future relationships, says Dmitry Komarov.

Family of Dmitry Komarov

He grew up in a large, friendly family surrounded by loving people. Komarov has a younger brother and sister - twins Angelina and Nikolai, whom he sometimes takes with him on short trips in his free time, and most often the whole family gathers at a country dacha.

Dmitry's sister is a stylist in one of the Kyiv beauty salons, and his brother has his own computer company. Komarov says that he only gets his hair cut by Angelina, who is considered a first-class hairdresser, and people make an appointment in advance to see her.

Dima is six years older than the twins and treats them like a father - when they were little, their parents often left him in charge, and he looked after them while mom and dad were at work.

Dmitry Komarov treats his parents with special tenderness - they have always been and remain an example of how to build your biography.

They got married late by the standards of that time - father was thirty-three years old, mother twenty-seven, but this did not stop them from becoming absolutely happy:

“Dad did not pay attention to who said what, and lived in such a way as to pass on the right genes to me: he climbed the mountains, to the peaks of the Caucasus and Tien Shan, skied in the Elbrus region, and traveled a lot throughout the Union republics. The mother in this photo is 27. It’s also too late for the USSR. Neighbors and grandmothers on the benches gossiped: “Why aren’t you married?” And my mother was simply enjoying life and did not pay attention to anyone. And the parents were able to create an absolutely happy family,” says Dmitry Komarov.

They are the most beloved and closest people to him, who taught his son the right attitude towards life.

Personal life of Dmitry Komarov

Several times already, Dmitry Komarov’s personal life could change dramatically, but the thirty-four-year-old presenter believes that it is too early for him to tie the knot.

For now, his main priority is work, which is largely responsible for the difficulties in starting a family.

The host of the “The World Inside Out” project rightly believes that few of the girls will agree to wait for him after many long expeditions.

“I repeatedly had moments when I was already preparing my finger and picking up the ring. But then I left, and the girl understood that she would wait like this all her life and thought: why do I need you.”

So far, not a single potential wife of Dmitry Komarov has passed the test of his work, but he does not blame them for this, because every girl needs to feel a strong man’s shoulder nearby and feel the support of her loved one.

For now, he cannot offer this, since he is away from home for several months a year.

With the advent of popularity, Komarov has another problem - he now has to find delicate words to refuse girls who are trying to establish close relationships with him by any means and even become his wife.

He receives mountains of letters and thousands of messages on social networks, not only with words of gratitude for the interesting program, but also with declarations of love and offers to meet, and he even has to hide from the most annoying fans.

However, Dmitry is already thinking about starting a family and is not against him having children, but in this matter he relies on fate, and if it so happened that Dmitry Komarov’s wife finally appeared and gave him a son or daughter, he would be only too happy.

Dmitry’s mother also can’t wait for her son to start a family as soon as possible and please him and his father with grandchildren, but so far he can’t make his parents’ dream come true - Dmitry Komarov doesn’t have enough time for his personal life, most of which he spends traveling.

The presenter says that, despite his sociability, he sometimes needs to be left alone in order to concentrate on his thoughts and be in silence. He finds the opportunity for such solitude at the dacha, where he feels cozy and comfortable.

Sometimes he goes on trips alone in order to better understand the country in which he is located and feel its life.

First love

Dima’s biography included his first love, which he still remembers to this day. The first time he seriously fell in love was when he was in school. Dima made friends with a girl from a parallel class, with whom he was ready to spend all his time. He met her at the bus stop, accompanied her to school, and after class they prepared homework together. This was the first true love in Dmitry Komarov’s personal life, about which he has the fondest memories.

Thoughts about the future

Dmitry came up with the “The World Inside Out” project himself at a time when he was making his way through a muddy ford in Thailand. He assumed that viewers would be interested in watching programs about extreme travel, and he was not mistaken.

The project has become a part of Komarov’s life, on which he spends a lot of time and effort, and sometimes he realizes that he is very tired. Then Dmitry begins to think that it’s time to finish the project or at least take a long break, but he remembers the audience who are waiting for the release of new episodes, and continues to work.

Dmitry does not rule out that in the future he will have his own business, which will definitely be related to travel and television.

Dima began to study journalism while still in school - he got a job at the popular weekly Telenedelya, where he published exclusive materials. Later, he began to write articles himself, sending them to the editors of such publications as Komsomolskaya Pravda and Izvestia in Ukraine.

As for his personal life, the host of “The World Inside Out” tries not to advertise its details, believing that it should not be put on public display.

He will decide to talk about the girl who will be his wife only after he is sure that she is absolutely his person, with whom he will have the same interests and outlook on life.

He has already prepared the gold from which he plans to make wedding rings, which he mined with his own hands in Indonesia, but so far it has not been useful.

Dmitry Komarov also plans to create his own charitable foundation, different from many existing now, in which funds go not only to help those in need, but also to cover their own needs and expenses. One of the funds created by Dmitry already exists and is called “Cup of Coffee”. The idea of this project is to transfer the money that people spend every day on small, non-essential expenses, for example, a cup of coffee before work, to be used for treatment of children who need expensive surgeries.

He has already done a lot in this direction, and there are many children whom he helps or has already helped. One of these children was the girl Katya Rychkova, who needed a complex operation abroad, because she simply would not have survived in her homeland. Dmitry helped raise the necessary amount and even sold his own expensive camera, putting it up at auction. As a result, Katya was taken to Italy, where she underwent surgery.
