1) Ancient Greece:
Ambrosia(more precisely, Ambrosia Greek ἀμβροσία, “immortality”) in Ancient Greece - the legendary food of the gods, giving them youth and immortality. 2) Chyawanprash is mentioned in the ancient medical Ayurvedic canons, such as “Dhanvantari Samhita”, “Charaka Samhita” and “Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita”. The legend about the origin of Chyawanprash says:
A sage named Chavan, who lived twelve thousand years ago, sensing the approach of old age and illness, turned for help to the Ashwini Kumaras - twin brothers who practice Ayurveda on the higher material planets. Knowing his righteousness and virtue, the Ashwini Kumaras gave him the recipe for the “Elixir of Youth”. The sage went to the foothills of the Himalayas and collected forty-nine herbs and minerals indicated in the recipe. They say that he lived after this for another thousand years and left this world without signs of old age or illness. Since then, this remedy has been named after the sage Chavan. 3) Philosopher's Stone
One of the options for obtaining the elixir of life was supposed to be the philosopher's stone (lat. lapis philosophorum), the other main purpose of which was to transform base metals into gold. Nicholas Flamel, lived in France in the fourteenth century and is believed to have learned how to make the philosopher's stone. There are references to him (and sightings) throughout the centuries, as he is believed to have gained immortality. He and his wife Perenella dedicated their lives to creating the "eternal elixir." True alchemists did not strive to obtain gold, it was only a tool, not a goal (however, Dante in his Divine Comedy determined the place of alchemists, like counterfeiters, in hell, or more precisely, in the eighth circle, tenth ditch). The goal for them was the philosopher's stone itself. And spiritual liberation, exaltation, granted to those who possess it - absolute freedom (it should be noted that a stone, by and large, is not a stone at all; it is more often represented as a powder, or a solution of a powder - the very elixir of life). Although the use of this artifact did not have dire consequences, it could take the soul of a person who used the philosopher’s stone for personal gain.

4) Amrita

Removing the SIR2 gene from the body, known for five years now as a gene that slows down aging, leads to a fantastic increase in life? as much as six times. These results have so far been confirmed in yeast and human liver cells.
Five years ago, Professor Leonard Guarente of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology conducted a series of experiments showing that an extra copy of the SIR2 gene could significantly increase the life expectancy of simple microorganisms such as yeast, fruit flies and some types of worms. As it turned out during the experiment, the complete removal of SIR2 from the genome of the experimental microorganism, accompanied by the introduction of certain changes in the operation of the RAS2 and SCH9 genes, which are responsible for storing nutrients in the cell and resisting damage to the cell membrane from unfavorable conditions, can extend the lifespan of the test subject by approximately six times . The legend about Agasfer is still alive today, since over the centuries, among different nations, a certain person (or different people) appeared every now and then, whom many identified with the immortal Agasfer.

His knowledge of ancient history, of the geography of the most remote countries and continents that he visited or allegedly visited, was amazing. He spoke most European and Oriental languages.
Soon this man is seen in Poland, and then in Denmark, where traces of him are lost again. Voltaire mentions it in his philosophical dictionary (Dictionnaire philosophique, 1764). People said that the Jade Emperor and his wife Xi Wangmu cultivated a peach tree that produced ripe fruit every 3,000 years. They happily gave them to the gods so that they could live forever.
4. Amrita: Hinduism
Amrita, translated from Sanskrit to English, almost literally means “immortality.” The devas, or gods, were originally mortal or had lost their immortality due to a curse and were looking for a way to gain eternal life.
They teamed up with their enemies, the asuras, or anti-gods, to foam the Ocean of Milk and obtain a nectar called amirta. And then the devas deceived the asuras so that they would not drink this nectar: Vishnu reincarnated as a goddess who could cause uncontrollable lust in the heart of any person. It is said that yoga masters have the opportunity to drink amirtha because the devas spilled some of the nectar in their haste to hide it from the asuras.

Norse golden apples differ from their Greek counterparts in that they were extremely important to the Norse gods. All Scandinavian gods needed apples in order to gain immortality and eternal youth. Idun, the goddess of spring, was the guardian of the garden.

1. Holy Grail: Christian Mythology
One of the most famous artifacts of Christian mythology is the Holy Grail. This is the cup (or goblet) from which Jesus drank at the Last Supper, and has become a highly coveted relic. It was also believed that Joseph of Arimathea collected the blood of Jesus in this cup when he was on the cross.
In search of the Holy Grail, King Arthur and his knights traveled far and wide. But only those who were pure in soul could touch him, and it was said that Sir Galahad gained immortality by being the only person to touch him.
Two eternal questions of existence
For many people, the terms eternal life and eternal damnation are meaningless phrases because what they refer to has nothing to do with everyday needs and concerns. This lies outside the sphere of their purely material interests, and therefore, they believe, there is no point in focusing on it.
What other eternal life? What is this - eternal damnation? What does this have to do with making money? Let's die - that's the end of everything! Until this end comes, you need to ensure a “decent existence” for yourself and your loved ones. - This, or approximately this, is the life position of many representatives of our society. And such representatives, unfortunately, are the majority today. And this majority determines the main direction of movement of all humanity: downward, not upward. Into darkness, not towards Light. What this state of affairs will ultimately lead to can be easily understood by anyone who has enough internal strength not to succumb to the general slide into the abyss and to seriously begin searching for answers to the eternal questions of existence. Among these questions are these two: What is eternal life? What is eternal damnation?
However, we have to state the following fact: many people have already atrophied the ability to rise with their being above the material and transitory in order to explore issues that are at least somewhat beyond the bounds of the earthly. Unfortunately, even those who have a religious will that encourages them to break out of the circle of purely material concerns that live the overwhelming majority today are often incapable of such research.
Their attempts to soar are limited by the fact that they literally cling to one or another version of church teaching. We are no longer talking about further independent search and research! However, only what a person acquires by following the path of independent search and research has true value for him. It lives in him, being a source of conviction that no doubts and attacks of skeptics can shake.
Blind faith in church institutions has no such genuine value. Deprived of life, it is a source of religious fanaticism, narrow-mindedness and conceit. It is the cover under which false knowledge tries to cowardly hide from the rays of Truth. For those who do not dare to throw this cover away, rushing towards the Truth, it will most likely become the grave crypt of their spirit, where the last hope of salvation will fade away.
From a spiritual point of view...
For earthly man, the question of eternal life is inseparable from the question of eternal damnation. Moreover, an attempt to understand these issues is doomed to failure in advance if one confines oneself to the earthly, material plane. What is needed here is a much broader perspective, which only a consideration from the point of view of the spirit can provide.
The spirit has nothing in common with materiality, although it is connected with matter for the purpose of its development. Just as a grain of seed must sink into the soil in order to find the strength there to become a mature plant, so the human spiritual embryo, or unconscious seed of the spirit, sinks into the materiality of the Universe in order to develop or grow into a mature spirit with personal consciousness. This is a long process by human standards that cannot be completed during one earthly life.
When religious texts say that God gives man only one life, which he can direct to salvation or destruction by his own free choice, then there is no mistake in this. Interpretations of this in itself correct statement are erroneous, trying to limit the concept of human life only to the earthly plane, that is, to reduce this concept to a short period of one earthly existence. This erroneous interpretation has taken root in the heads of many believers, serving as a source of further misconceptions. It is like a weak cornerstone, which will inevitably cause the collapse of the entire building if it is not replaced in a timely manner with a stone made from durable and high-quality material.
Just as the concept of man cannot be reduced to considering only the earthly body, so the concept of human life cannot be limited to a short period of earthly existence!
The soil into which the unconscious seeds of human spirituality are immersed, in which they ripen, becoming mature spirits endowed with personal consciousness, is the materiality of the Universe. The Universe is located below the region of Creation, which is the original homeland of the seeds of the spirit, and which in religious texts is called the Kingdom of the Spirit, Paradise, the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of the Spirit and the Universe, taken together, represent the total Creation, created according to the single and unchanging Laws of Creation, the Laws of the Divine Will.
In the materiality of the Universe, everything is subject to the processes of origin, maturation, overripeness and decay. Absolutely everything moves in this circle in materiality - large and small. The cycle of materiality itself is eternal, but not what is inside this cycle! Every form that arises in the Universe under the influence of higher forces is doomed to decay from the moment of its emergence. Along this path - origin-maturation-overripeness-decay - giant parts of the Universe, galaxies within these parts, solar systems, individual celestial bodies, all forms of stones, plants, animals, etc., move down to the smallest building particles of matter - atoms , electrons, etc. And that is why it makes no sense to talk about the eternal life of the earthly body - the roughest shell of the human spirit. Therefore, all theories, scientific or religious, trying to talk about the immortality of earthly man are untenable in the face of Truth. They do not stand up to scrutiny from the point of view of the Laws of Creation.
So, materiality, subtle or gross, serves only as a shell for the spirit. The densest and roughest shell is the earthly body; an instrument necessary for the activity of the spirit on the earthly plane.
When a spiritual seed is immersed in the Universe, it is first enveloped in the subtlest form of materiality, which is located closest to the Spiritual Kingdom. Before the spiritual seed descends to the earthly level, it must clothe itself in several material shells, with each subsequent shell being denser and coarser than the previous one. And only on Earth the spiritual seed is clothed in the densest shell - the gross material earthly body. Under the cover of all these shells, the spiritual seed must ripen, becoming a mature spirit, endowed with self-awareness. This is a long process, which takes the spiritual seed many earthly lives, followed by periods of stay in the other world. Moreover, in all these achievements and metamorphoses there is no arbitrariness or chance. Absolutely everything is determined by the action of the Laws of Creation, which reward everyone exactly what (down to the smallest shades of good and evil) that he himself placed into Creation through his actions. This is how each person creates his own destiny, that is, the path he will have to follow in the earthly or afterlife.
The separation of spirit from materiality and the need for a decisive choice
The period that spiritual seeds are given for maturation in the Universe, although very long by our standards, is not infinite. Those who assume that the development of the human spirit in materiality will continue indefinitely, be interrupted and resumed again, are mistaken until all developing human spirits in one or another part of the Universe successfully reach perfection in their development. Just as in a small annual cycle, plant seeds are given a limited period of time for maturation, limited to the spring-summer period, so in a much longer cycle of development of the seeds of the spirit in materiality, a kind of autumn-winter period awaits them, when the possibilities of development will be set to a limit. For spiritual seeds, this means a decisive choice is required. This is what in all religions is called the Last Judgment.
The Last Judgment is the separation of spirit from materiality, which has entered the time of its overripeness; a completely natural process, entirely determined by the action of the Laws of Creation. The total materiality becomes overripe, disintegrates into primary elements, in order to be reborn again in new forms for the further development of Creation. And with the beginning of the Last Judgment, human spirits are faced with the following alternative:
1. Or the human spirit will be so mature that it will be able to leave the total materiality in time, leaving behind all the material shells. Moving from level to level, he will be cleansed of everything alien, base, and as a mature, self-aware spirit that has proven his right to eternal life, he will return to his original homeland, to Paradise, where nothing is subject to decay. Staying at the pinnacle of bliss, he will forever work together with perfect spirits like him, contributing to the further development and prosperity of the total Creation.
2. Or the human spirit, due to its spiritual laziness, will be unable to leave materiality in time, will get stuck in it and will be drawn into the zone of decomposition. His personal consciousness will undergo disintegration, so that in the end there will be nothing left for him. This is the so-called eternal damnation - spiritual death, nothing more terrible than which for the human spirit. A person dooms himself to destruction, gradually losing personal consciousness in terrible torment and again becoming an unconscious spiritual seed. For him, these torments will seem to last an eternity, although they, of course, will come to an end when there is nothing left of the personal consciousness. Such a spiritual seed will be released from materiality at the end of its decomposition and will return again to the Kingdom of the Spirit, ingloriously missing the opportunity given to it to gain eternal life in Paradise as a conscious spiritual person.
As we see, earthly death means nothing in these majestic achievements. What is important here is only the internal position of each specific human spirit. Whether we are talking about an earthly person, or about a human soul that does not have an earthly body, this also does not play a special role. However, the fact that many earthly people do not want to know anything other than the pursuit of earthly goods and pleasures is a sure indicator of their possibly fatal choice in the direction of spiritual death. They doom themselves to torment, much more terrible than illness or any other suffering of the earthly body can bring to an earthly person.
