Back in 2007, I participated in the launch of the television project “Battle of Psychics.”
At that time I was also procrastinating on other projects, but now let’s talk about “Psychics”

More precisely, they do not sell the programs themselves, but the rights to create a similar program but adapted for the local market.
Along with the rights, they sell the so-called “Project Bible”.
The project Bible includes a description of the technological process, all kinds of recommendations and advice,
for the correct filming process, description of competitions, castings, graphic and audio design and much more.
In principle, the Bible is the mistakes of others from which you can and should learn.
Moreover, they paid money for these mistakes and it is not wise to fill your own troubles.
But apparently it’s not quite customary for us to learn from other people’s mistakes :)
Therefore, the technological plan for filming prescribed in the Bible, as well as the staffing schedule of the personnel required for the project, were ignored.
When a consultant from the company that sold this format to the TV channel flew in to monitor the filming process
and compliance with the conditions of the format, she was very surprised.
She constantly insisted: this is not possible, you can’t work like that. She didn't understand how we could stand it.
In fact, the project was filmed very quickly.
Basically, everything was done not “for tomorrow” but “for yesterday.”
The programming department decided when the first program would be broadcast,
and no one cares that half of the staff is not yet there, there is no script, and even sensible psychics have not been found.
There is a broadcast date and everything needs to be done by it. you are professionals :)

No money was allocated for filming either. Since the budget for the entire program was not signed :)
How to create a program budget if you don’t know what will happen in 8 more programs?
The script was only for the first program.
Basically, the night before the first shoot, I created a budget for the entire first season.
On the first day there was a casting in Kyiv, there was no money yet, but it couldn’t be cancelled;
people bought tickets and came to the casting, pavilions, decorations, catering, special equipment and much more were ordered.
As a result, I took out my money and paid the necessary expenses from my own pocket, and only then knocked these funds out of the accounting department, since I kept all the checks and contracts for reporting.
So you can say I was the first sponsor of the program :)

Now about the castings.
We've all been looking for psychics. Real ones, not charlatans.
Does it seem so complicated?
We took the newspapers and rang through the advertisements; there were piles of them in the newspapers.
But everything is much more complicated.
Since we need real psychics, and not charlatans, we immediately warned all applicants about this.
Therefore, many immediately refused to participate.
Those who were ready to prove their exclusivity passed a series of tests.
For example: There is a photograph of a person in a tightly sealed envelope. Preferably printed from film or Polaroid.
The applicant must feel the energy of this photograph and tell everything that he feels about the person in the photograph.
Such a simple test allowed us to weed out the majority of MAGICIANS AND WIZARDS.

Now comes the fun part.
I am often asked if the psychics participating in the program are real?
I answer. Don't know!
When we selected, everyone was real, not fake.
This also has a problem.
After all, real psychics are not bright characters; they look like ordinary people, and not like you are used to seeing them in movies.
This is bad for the show. After all, the viewer wants spectacles, so that they beat the tambourines, throw dice, roll their eyes, etc.
And in the frame there are ordinary average residents.
I even had the idea to introduce some fake characters in the next seasons.
Find a colorful Shaman, a red-haired Witch, and some black guy with Voodoo magic.
They will play 3-4 programs and then we will gradually introduce them to the jury meeting.
That is, the finals will include real psychics with abilities.
Perhaps in subsequent seasons they did just that, or maybe they went even further. I do not know this.

It was not easy for the program participants - psychics.
Understand the term "psychic" is like the term "athlete".
After all, an athlete cannot be an excellent weightlifter, gymnast and boxer at the same time. He is a specialist in one thing, perhaps in related disciplines.
So is a “psychic,” he can do one thing very well, more or less another, but he can’t do the rest.
They also have a narrow specialization.
We put them through all possible and impossible competitions.
I even dragged them into the casino, which was not prohibited then.
I wanted to win money with them, but alas, no one, out of three attempts, predicted a single number correctly.
They said that they were forbidden to deal with money like that :)
I would like to note that many of them are good psychologists; if they did not know the answer, they tried
to calculate the correct answer, they spoke little by little and looked at the reactions of others.
Plus, as I wrote earlier, we filmed a lot and closely.
According to the format, there is 1 day for preparation, 1 day for filming one competition, 1 day for rest and then again.
Sometimes we filmed 2 or 3 competitions per shift. And the next day there will be another shooting of 1-2 competitions.
Very short production times. :(
So the film crew and psychics worked in difficult conditions.

One day we tried to help them. The competition consisted of a psychic walking along a hotel corridor with one girl and looking for which room contained the girl’s twin sister.
So in the room where the second girl was and the cameraman, the light was on so that he could immediately film the reaction.
And in the crack under this door it was clear that the light was on. There was no one in the other rooms and the lights were off.
But the psychics did not pay attention to this. They acted according to some of their own rules and almost no one found the twin girl.

And yet it was an amazing project and I’m glad that we did it despite all the intrigues and intrigues.
And many thanks to all the psychics and the film crew with whom I worked.
Only the permanent presenter Pavel Kostitsin and cameramen moved from season to season,
but the creative team seems to have been squeezed out and replaced.
Therefore, I do not regret that I left this project on time (after the completion of the first season).

“Battle of Psychics” is a very popular program. It is broadcast on various television channels and invariably arouses increased interest among the public. The seventeenth season of the program has now passed, but the audience’s interest has not waned.

Even complete skeptics are amazed at what is happening on television. It's hard to understand what this is, a well-produced show or real, amazing people, beyond the abilities of the participants?

History of the program

The “Battle of Psychics” program first appeared on television in 2007. The show was copied from the UK. Many more programs are published in a similar format in America, Australia and other countries.

The second qualifying round begins, which is already being shown to the audience. From season to season, all sorts of challenges are invented. Most of the applicants are eliminated, leaving only the show participants, no more than thirteen people.

Are there any psychics among the program participants?

It’s safe to say that there are real psychics among the program participants. There is a lot of mysterious and supernatural things in the world. Since ancient times, the names of great soothsayers such as Nostradamus and Vanga have been remembered. Human abilities have not been fully studied and revealed.

Often on the pages of magazines and newspapers you can find advertisements from hereditary magicians and fortune-tellers who will help you cope with all difficult life situations in one go. In most cases, these are scammers trying to make money from people's problems. Can such scammers get into the program? Of course they can.

The “Battle of Psychics” is often written about in the press as a staged show where the role of psychics is played by actors. At the same time, not a single piece of evidence or revealing fact is provided. Most likely, this is envy, since it is rare that a program can boast such a high rating for so many years.

The program is filmed based on a clearly written script, under the guidance of talented directors. How else? Otherwise, it would have turned out to be a “vinaigrette”, with an incomprehensible plot and a lack of meaning. Filming one day of testing can last more than a week. A good, intriguing picture appears on the screen.

At first, the creative team came up with tests for the participants. Much was copied from shows released in the UK and USA. Now such a need has disappeared. Due to its enormous popularity, the editors of the program are inundated with letters from ordinary TV viewers. The letters describe supernatural events, calls for help in finding missing loved ones, or requests to reveal the causes of death of relatives.

Many tests are carried out by the country's main skeptic, Mikhail Vinogradov. He has degrees in medicine and psychiatry. Mikhail has been studying unexplained phenomena all his adult life. Vinogradov’s opinion can be trusted. Mikhail often speaks about the amazing abilities of the participants. Based on his professional opinion, it can be clearly stated that the show features people endowed with a special gift.

“Battle of Psychics” show or reality?

“Battle of Psychics” is one of the most popular programs dedicated to psychic topics. Each program involves real people who turn to participants for help. There are people in the film crew whose task is to monitor possible “tricks” on the part of the participants.

Naturally, when selecting participants, several “jesters” with tambourines, masks and other attributes are selected to attract special attention from the public. It is clear that the main participants are asked to use some special magical objects so that the popularity of the show does not fall.

It can be clearly stated that the “Battle of Psychics” program is a real test for people endowed with extraordinary abilities due to the following facts:

• Despite the large number of publications in newspapers and magazines that the program involves actors with clearly defined roles, there is not a single proof of this fact;
• At each program there is a group of skeptics consisting of psychology professor Mikhail Voronin, psychotherapist Alexander Makarov, and illusionists the Safronov brothers. Even these skeptics admit that there are special participants on the program, among whom are real psychics;
• TV stars and other public people take part in the “Battle”, who confirm that the participants have extraordinary opportunities and confirm the reality of the events taking place;
• Real people take part in the program; over the past years, there have already been several dozen of them. Not a single person spoke about the staged show and the absence of psychics on the program. And such publications could appear, since there are many who want to expose the show;
• A program built solely on deceiving viewers could not have stayed on television for so long and had consistently high ratings.

We can conclude that “Battle of Psychics” is, of course, a TV show for which a script is written, a director is selected, and a beautiful picture is edited. But the show features real psychics, real people, and solves real problems. Therefore, the “Battle of Psychics” can be called reality!

The sorcerers responded to Mikhail Porechenkov.

The reality show “Battle of Psychics” is at the epicenter of a scandal. The country is figuring out what kind of project this is? A huge scam or a unique experiment? Testing phenomenal abilities or the degree of gullibility of naive spectators?

Mikhail Porechenkov, who was at the origins of the creation of the “Battle of Psychics,” did not seem to be going to loudly expose anyone. I just said a couple of phrases on the radio about a project that I haven’t been working on for a long time. And he caused a real storm!

I worked with them for a long time. Kaldy-baldy, as they used to say in childhood. All lies! Yes, completely. I'm telling the truth. Have I upset everyone? - the actor asked the audience.

It turned out that I was so upset! Moreover, both the audience and the psychics themselves. And those who firmly believe in sorcerers and witches, rituals and shamanic dances, and those who believe that they themselves have a unique gift, immediately took up arms against the former presenter. He was accused of using the name of a program whose ratings were off the charts to do self-PR.

The profession of a psychic - under different names - is clearly older than the profession of an actor. Personally, speaking at the “Battle,” I did not doubt for a minute the superpowers of my main rivals,” the white witch was indignant. - The spotlights go out - and ordinary life begins, that is, clients with their problems. So the title of psychic has to be justified every day! But for actors it is always important to attract the attention of the public. In different ways. And just like Mikhail.

But there were also those who rejoiced: finally a man was found who brought the charlatans who were fooling honest people into the open! There was even a call to close the “Battle of Psychics” on social networks, and to outlaw the “wizards” themselves!

DISCLOSURE OF PARTICIPANTS

However, it was not Porechenkov who began to discredit “Battle”. The reality show has been running on the TNT channel for 10 years. And all these years there are skeptics who claim: in fact, there is no miracle. All this is a staged show, played out according to the script. And not only amateurs - among the participants there are also professional artists.

The soothsayer Julia Wang, for example, graduated from acting courses at GITIS and was not famous for any special abilities before appearing on the show. She, then still Yulia Gavrikova, was busy with her film career: she starred in episodes of “Day Watch”, “The Best Film”, and appeared in the series “Balzac’s Age, or All Men Are Theirs...”. Well, when she came to the “Battle”, she quickly changed her biography and began to say that she was born from an alien.

But the shaman Ekaterina Ryzhikova - the one who looks more like a city madwoman - is actually a teacher at a children's film studio and the head of a theatrical art laboratory at the Stas Namin Theater.

Many other participants in the “Battle” also appeared in the acting field. On the Internet you can find dozens of sites where critics from the people dismantle the show literally to its bones and expose the participants.

They notice foreign objects in the frame, telling the sorcerers where the person is hiding. They find fraud in the program. Let's say here is a gravestone from afar, the date of death is visible on it. Change of frame - and now it’s a completely different year. One that fits into the concept of the story that “everyone in this family died within 12 years of each other”...

Viewers also found a girl who in one of the seasons was seen in a photograph allegedly “dead.” The beauty is alive and well, shining in the crowds of other TV shows.

All these blatant blunders in the program convince viewers that “Battle” is just a performance. And sometimes it's whipped up...

“I myself haven’t believed in “Battle” for a long time,” says clairvoyant Ziraddin Rzayev, finalist of the sixth season. - I have been critical in recent years. If at first it was a competition of professionals, now it is just a show. Participants know how to surprise by talking about the past. But that doesn't mean anything. Let them predict the future better, and it will be recorded by several media outlets. If it comes true, then the person is really worth something.

“NEGOTS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR ALL SEASONS”

But the participants in the “Battle,” as it turns out, not only cannot predict someone else’s future, they also cannot see their own. That's why they constantly get into all sorts of troubles and shameful situations.

For example, the clairvoyant Irik Sadykov, having learned that they were looking for the missing Ilyin family in the Moscow region, offered his services in finding the parents and child. Arriving at the scene, he said: no, they didn’t drown, they were alive - they were kidnapped. He spoke loudly and poured out details. And literally half an hour later, divers lifted the bodies of the drowned from the bottom...

The high-profile PR that Irik was counting on did not work out.

After participating in the “Battle,” the price tag for the services of sorcerers and magicians grows by leaps and bounds: the cost of admission starts from 20 thousand and often exceeds a hundred. People in trouble bring the last of their money to change their fate, to receive hope or news about loved ones.

Alexey Druzhkov from Kurgan, as he himself says, is a sorceress Ilona Novoselova
for 30 thousand rubles she convinced him that his brother was alive and working at a construction site. Soon the man’s body was found; it turned out that he had been killed several months ago. “She's a fraud! He’s profiting from people’s grief!” - the deceived viewer cannot come to his senses.

You must understand that there are not so many unique specialists, nuggets in the country, there cannot be enough of them for all seasons, so all participants cannot be called professionals, explains psychic parapsychologist Daria Mironova. - In the first season, when I participated, everything was fair.

And now I assume that the “Battle of Psychics” has turned into purely commercial program.

All project participants are bound by a non-disclosure agreement regarding the terms of participation in the show. But their loved ones often spill the beans.

“I myself witnessed the drain,” says the ex-girlfriend of the “black doctor” Evgenia Znagovana. - He was sent by email in advance a complete description of the next test, all the information about those people who would come with their problem, facts about their lives. So that on the set he would amaze everyone with something that no one knew.

HOW MUCH DOES VICTORY COST?

Kursk astrologer Pavsekakiy Bogdanov assures: everything was bought in the show “Battle of Psychics”. If you want to go to the next stage, pay. Need a win? Give me 100 thousand dollars and call yourself the best.

All participants are scammers! - Bogdanov declares loudly. “Then people sell the latter in order to get an appointment with them, but these charlatans cannot help. Why weren’t I, Dzhuna, Chumak, Kashpirovsky invited to the program - us, who through our hard work earned the right to be called a psychic? Back in 2007, when the “Battle of Psychics” began, I wrote an open letter to the management of TNT with an appeal: “Stop the fuss of clowns!”

Former participants also tried to ban the program - those who lacked either money or the ability to make it to the finals. Yolanta Voronova filed a lawsuit against TNT last fall.

I want to stop deceiving people who go to the winners of the “Battle of Psychics” for huge money. These favorites work according to the script. They are not psychics, but actors! Let them write in the credits: the role of Pakhom was played by Sergei Pakhomov! - she is indignant.

“THERE IS NO SCRIPT!”

But Ilya Sagliani, who was an independent expert on several programs, believes that everyone cannot be sized up with the same brush. Different people come to the casting of the project - one goes just to promote himself, the other - try your hand, and the third - show your unique abilities.

“All the characters and their stories in the program are real,” he assures. - And there is no script! Whatever result the psychic gave was the one that went on the air. Of course, there are those on the show who became “psychics” five minutes before coming to the “Battle”. But many specialists amazed me with their gift - Kazhetta, for example, or Nicole. They helped me with advice and predicted the future. Ziraddin Rzayev, for example, once said that I would work on television and buy a blue car. Three years have passed, I have already forgotten his words. But everything came true! And my car is blue!

Ilya, like Marat Basharov, who has been running the program for the last seven years, was surprised by Porechenkov’s words that “everything is a lie.” He believes that, perhaps, Mikhail is expressing some kind of personal resentment towards the creators of the project. Iranian psychic Mehdi Ibrahimi Vafa, winner of the third season of “Battle,” agrees with him:

I would like to note that Mikhail Porechenkov once asked me to help his close friend, who was depressed. If he thought I was a charlatan, would he do it?

Meanwhile, more than 200 people have already gathered for the casting of the new season of “Battle”, who also call themselves psychics. And, probably, there is a possibility that among them there will be at least one real one. Or maybe the only real magicians on the program are those who create this show? Editors and directors who can make anyone, even the most random participant, a star?..

ANOTHER OPINION

Vlad Kadoni: It turns out that Porechenkov is a liar?

The host of “House-2” Vlad Kadoni could not ignore the controversy that flared up around “Battle”. After all, he himself fought twice for the title of the strongest psychic in the country and knows the entire “kitchen” of the TV show from the inside.

Vlad, how do you feel about Porechenkov’s recent words that the “Battle of Psychics” is “a bullshit, a lie”?

- It seems to me that it turned out that Mikhail set himself up. After all, whatever one may say, these words are against himself. Let's assume that "Battle" is a show with actors. Then it turns out that Porechenkov himself is a liar, who for three years, working as the host of this project, led everyone by the nose - he convinced viewers that psychics were real, although he himself knew that this was not the case.

Then how did he look into the eyes of those who came to the site with their pain for help - the mothers of killed and missing children, the relatives of those to whom misfortune happened? It turns out that he knew that the participants in the “Battle of Psychics” were charlatans and the entire program was a cruel setup, and together with everyone else, he fooled everyone for seven seasons for a good salary?

- But, they say, Porechenkov had a non-disclosure agreement - he could not immediately tell the truth.

There is no criminal liability for disclosing the secret of the creation of a program. You cannot go to jail - you only face a fine. Why didn’t he declare at the very first filming that he would not participate in this and leave, slamming the door? Therefore, an intelligent person will understand that he simply decided to lie, playing on a provocative topic. All this is cheap PR.

They forgot about Mikhail a little, and he decided to create an information occasion. In my opinion, very unfortunate. And he has already had such mistakes - everyone remembers the huge scandal he created against the backdrop of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, when he was photographed with a weapon in his hands in Donetsk.

Stas Sadalsky “looked” into the future in his blog: “Vlad Kadoni was detained. I had with me photographs of Mikhail Porechenkov, as well as a small human figure with a needle stuck into it.” It's clear that this is a joke. But tell me honestly: should we really be afraid of magicians and psychics? Shouldn't they cross the road?

You should be afraid of stupid people. You can always come to an agreement with smart and adequate people. I don’t know what needs to happen to me for me to really be puzzled by the damage to someone’s life. When I was young, I used to scare people with this. But those were more teenage frustrations. Unfortunately, you only understand the value of life over the years...

“I DON’T WANT TO IMPOSE MYSELF ON SOCIETY”

- You returned to Dom-2 as a presenter. Do magical techniques help on the project?

I left extrasensory perception and esotericism at the gates and fundamentally do not use any of my abilities. This would be dishonest to the audience: they must understand what is happening on the project, and for this the participants themselves, and not psychics, must speak. And in general, I use my abilities exclusively for myself and my loved ones and do not demonstrate them to anyone else.

- So you ended your career as a magician?

No, but now I don’t accept other people. I'm tired of struggling with hopeless stupidity. You open the Internet and read: “He’s not a psychic - he’s on Dom-2,” “That’s not what psychics look like” - and so on.

I don’t want to impose myself on society. It was brought up by Hollywood films and primitive laws of marketing. Now I'm more into traditional science. I worked in the field of psychiatry in a closed center for about two years. Now I’m gaining a different experience at Dom-2.

You probably regularly review your future? Are you clearing out difficulties along your path and attracting the necessary events?

I never do this. And to mom (witch Elena Golunova. - Red .), who is engaged in practice, I will never allow this to happen. I want to go through all my difficulties myself, without magical help. If, for example, I run to my mother for help, I will not learn to solve the problem on my own, which means I will become dependent on her gift - I will not take an extra step without her advice and will be doomed to receive constant nourishment.

- What about those people who go to psychics? Are they doomed too?

Not always. A person who cannot cope on his own needs to go to someone stronger. It’s like when you’re sick, it’s better to go to the doctor and not self-medicate. But if you are a doctor yourself and your mother is a doctor, then you don’t need to ask her for a prescription every minute.

"I'LL BE A CRAZY DADDY"

- Vlad, is there any way to have magical support without turning to psychics?

With my colleagues, the best psychics in the country, we created a subtle thing from an esoteric point of view - magic in perfumery. Psychics charge special substances for money, for marriage, for good luck - and they are used to create fragrances. Two famous politicians and several show business stars already have such perfumes.

- So you started this kind of business?

Yes, and not only that. I also opened a beauty salon. He brought together masters - make-up artists and hairdressers - who work with stars, with public people, and know how to create a holistic image.

Have you and Anna Devitskaya, the former producer of the “Battle of Psychics”, been together for six years? Why haven't you gotten married yet?

I proposed to her once - she refused. We didn’t communicate for almost six months after that. Now, perhaps, Anya would answer differently, but I don’t want to repeat myself.

-Are you planning on having children?

It’s too early for me to dream about them, I’m not ready. I won't be much of a teacher. Children give me a fit of emotion. And if I have a child now, I will simply torture him with my care. I will turn into a crazy dad who is not able to grow a full-fledged personality. So let's wait until I'm ready...

Recently, interest in people with psychic or magical abilities has intensified. This was facilitated by the emergence of television programs dedicated to paranormal phenomena, and the most famous of them is “Battle of Psychics.” In front of TV viewers, psychics and magicians communicate with the dead, look for treasures, predict the weather, remove damage, make diagnoses, look into the past and future...

So what is “Battle of Psychics”, show or reality?

About the organization.

Firstly, not all participants in the top ten are psychics. At the casting, several of the most prominent personalities are selected. A prerequisite is a great desire to build a business in the field of magic. This ensures that they will support the legend, because they are most interested in it. They also take several zero players who will lose in everything. Secondly, victory can be bought. In order to attract those who bought prizes, information leaks are practiced. Hints are also paid. Participants who have not received information create the illusion of the reality of what is happening with their natural reactions. From correspondence with Victoria Subota (participant in one of the seasons):

“How will they pass without draining if you can’t look at anything?! They drain almost everyone, but in doses. For one, everything, for the second, half of the information, for the third, 3 sentences...., and for the last, nothing, otherwise they will also be ignored, like me. That’s why fantasies about certain powers go down the drain. I know this whole kitchen!”

I will also quote Alexey Pokhabov:

“Sometimes leaking information is practiced. There are unscrupulous members of the film crew who have access to certain tests, to the organization of tests, and they can sell information. I was offered to buy the battle when I participated. Prices range from approximately $30 to $50-60 thousand. Naturally, whoever has money can afford it. But I don’t know what he will tell people when they come to him with real problems.”

Future finalists, even before the end of the season, open active sales of their services, and a considerable part of these funds goes to the production company of the project (kickback). Some tests are completely bogus. Everything is spelled out in the script, right down to how the psychics will look, behave, and what to say. At the same time, much in the image works on the show to impress the viewer or intrigue, arouse interest. These could be details such as a scarf, a foggy past, unusual behavior, strange magical attributes, etc. Types are selected. Here, for example, is a generalized list of participants in each season of the “Battle”: a black magician or witch in Gothic clothes and a menacing look, a clown (clown), a foreigner with an interpreter, a nyasha (a young man under 25 with a cute face), an offended participant from the previous season , who believes that he is worthy of first place, a young attractive girl, an uncle with a beard (type - a sage), a shaman (shaman) in skins, with staves, tambourines, and several more people for extras.

Summary of the "Battle of Psychics"

In general, the main driver is money. More precisely, PR, which helps to make a lot of money from simpletons. “Battle of Psychics” is a commercial project that promotes individuals for the market of magical services. Makes these faces popular and recognizable, ensures a future influx of clients. Before the show you charge 30 thousand Russian rubles for the ceremony, and after - 70-100 thousand per half hour or hour, the difference is obvious. The life of the participants after the project is predictable - the opening of magic salons, the release of books (in which, by the way, they pour water, or, at most, they write something from everyday psychology), receptions at fabulous prices and tours that sell out halls/stadiums. A lot of suckers come to listen to them talk about all sorts of nonsense: how to attract money to yourself, awaken the psychic in yourself by immersing your ear in a jar of jam, etc. A game on the psychological level of the average population, a regular show to distract people from the affairs of the state.
