When choosing soft drinks, everyone strives to get from them not only the need to quench their thirst, but also health benefits. It is here that many people choose ordinary drinking water, mineral water or iced tea. The most popular representative of this category of drinks is Nestea, which has a pleasant taste and the safest composition.
History of appearance
The Nesti Tea trademark belongs to the global food industry giant – the Swiss corporation Nestle. The name of the brand comes from the name of the brand itself and the word tea (tea). Their combination gave the name to the most popular iced tea, Nestea, which today is represented on the market throughout Europe and parts of Asia, America and Australia. The drink contains the following components:

- black or green tea extract;
- natural fruit or berry juice;
- sugar;

- ascorbic acid;
- acidity regulators.
One glass of tea contains 80 kcal, which in terms of the daily calorie intake is about 3.2%. The question of whether bottled iced tea is harmful is difficult to answer unequivocally. Of course, it contains a lot of sugar, which in itself is already harmful, and without regulators and flavorings it is difficult to keep it in a presentable form, and they also do not give a person health.
There are some benefits to drinking a chilled drink. It quenches thirst well, tones up, has a pleasant and unusual taste. Still, it’s better than regular lemonade, which contains much more sugar and flavor enhancers.
Only iced tea that is made at home, from proven products and drunk without a long period of storage can be useful.
Names and flavors
Russians were able to try the taste of Nesti only in 2004, although the whole of Europe had known about this product for a long time. Today it can be purchased in a plastic bottle or tin can of an original design.

Homemade Iced Tea Recipe
Tea prepared at home can be much tastier and healthier than that bought in a store. It has only one drawback - it takes time to prepare and cannot be on hand at the right time. Below is a recipe for a simple and healthy green tea-based soft drink.
- Cut 500 grams of ripe strawberries into slices.
- Add 4 tbsp. l. sugar and lemon zest.
- Pour ¼ cold water over everything, bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Prepare green tea (pour 1 teaspoon of leaf tea with hot water (200 ml), leave for 3-4 minutes, strain), cool.
- Strain the strawberry syrup, let cool, pour into a bottle and store in the refrigerator.
Pour chilled green tea into a tall glass and add 3-4 tbsp. l. cold syrup, add a few ice cubes and garnish with a sprig of mint. You can drink through a straw. The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 weeks. By analogy, you can prepare other syrups from berries, fruits and ginger and add them to both black and green tea.
Iced tea is one of the options for a homemade tonic drink enriched with vitamins.
You can make a healthy and thirst-quenching drink from cold hibiscus tea. It goes great with apple juice and mint. Below are suggested combinations of ingredients for iced teas; their proportions can be varied based on your own taste:
- blueberries and lemon;
- peach and strawberry;
- apple and rosehip;
- pineapple and pomegranate.
The easiest way to prepare tea is to combine it with any berry, fruit and even vegetable juice in arbitrary proportions, but usually the juice makes up 20% of the total volume of the drink.
About the Nestea brand
The Nestea iced tea brand was created in 1977. Since 1991, Nestea sales around the world are the result of joint partnership efforts between Nestle and Coca-Cola. Particularly in Russia, where Nestea tea has been produced and sold by the Coca-Cola Company since 2004.

complete disappointment
The whole family drank tea for many years. I was completely satisfied. But yesterday I was disappointed beyond words. We bought two large bottles of wild berry flavor. I haven't seen anything like this in all these years. Manufacturer by code OREL. date of manufacture 06/10/2013. They didn’t even understand what the smell was from the bottle, but it was like gasoline or acetone, in general some kind of chemical, and in the bottle there was something like mucus or “jellyfish” floating, at least the appearance was terrifying. It’s a pity we saw it late with my husband, when we’d already had a drink. But the desire to buy tea disappeared completely. I don't even want to look at the bottle. Disappointment for many years. It's a shame.
