Composition of the "Center" group: history and interesting facts. Centr (group Center) - biography, history of the rap group Center rap group

Centr Group- this is the most valuable thing in the domestic rap segment, many hip-hop adherents thought at the peak of their fame (2008-2009), but later it turned out that this was not so. But first things first... Rap portal http://site presents to your attention a dramatic story rap group Cent, restoring step by step the entire creative development of this team.

Russian rap should be happy! The main group of the late 2000s and an adept of the new wave of harmful narco-rap Center- reunited again (or rose from hell - as competitors would say). For a long time it was not entirely clear in what form and composition rap would be revived Centr group, because the guys had been on far from friendly terms for years. But resentment and anger pass, and then times of crisis dictate a change in business strategy. So Guf had no choice but to return to the fold of the team, of which he was the creator.

As soon as it is clear that Center still revived - update the data in dossier on the Centr group, whose story and biography excites millions of fans across the country.
We look forward to official news about the revival of Centr, and not to fleeting intriguing interviews and videos of joint performances. Center- more than just a group, a whole phenomenon that strengthened the position of narco-rap (and at the same time the degradation of youth).

Composition of the Centr group and the CAO label. CREATED UNDER THE PARTNERSHIP OF THE TEAM, our public is interested no less than the competitive one. And here too there is a lot of uncertainty.

Compound Centr groups: Slim (2005 - 2013, now officially on sabbatical from a teammate) Ptah (2005 - present) and Slim.

Former members of the Centr group: Guf (2004-2009) Principle (2004-2005) DJ Shved (2007-2009)

The group "Center" was formed by two Moscow rappers - Alexey "Guf" Dolmatov (formerly known as Rolex-X) and Nikolai "Princip" Nikulin in 2004. With this lineup they recorded their first demo album called “Gift”. The circulation was only 13 copies, which were presented to the closest friends for the New Year.
Since 2002, Guf has been working on his debut album. During the creation of the album, his acquaintance with the group “Les Miserables” began, in which Ptah participated. The song “Clap-clap” by Guf and Ptah was included in the album “Gift”. In the same year, Ptah, becoming interested in the guys’ creativity, left Les Miserables and became a member of the Center group.
Later, the group “Smoke Screen” became interested in Rolex-X and Princip; in 2002, a member of the group, Slimus (later Slim), recorded the song “Wedding” together with Rolex-X. Now Slim also began to collaborate with the Center group, recording a Rolex-X minus for the song “Who Plays How” (2004 version), as well as for the songs “Leader”, “Clap-clap”, “New Year’s” (version 2004).

However, between 2004 and 2005, Princip went to prison. The group's creativity was interrupted for a while: Slimus remained in the Smoke Screen group, Rolex-X continued to work on a solo album. But soon the rappers united again and began working together as part of: Guf, Slim, Ptah.

Centr group in 2006-2008
In 2006, the Smoke Screen group released the album “Floors,” literally the best album of the group. Guf participated in the recording of the album.
In addition to the work of “Smoke Screen”, the group “Center” again began to write songs, the group’s old songs were re-released. In the period 2006-2007, members of the Center were engaged in the re-release of the album “Gift”; the re-released album was released in 2007.
In the same year, 2006, Guf, Slim and Ptakha recorded the songs “Muddy Muddy” and “Heat 77”, written specifically for the film comedy “ZHARA”.
After the release of the film “HEAT,” people in the country started talking about group "Center". It’s just that the director of the film, Rezo Gigienishvili, invited Ptah to play a cameo role, and when he found out that Ptah knew Guf, he invited the Center group to write the soundtrack. Guf’s recitative plays on the radio in the car of one of the main characters in the film.
- Yes, by the way, how did you get into the soundtrack for the film “ZHARA”? Guf: - Yes, it’s all thanks to Ptah, he punched through everything. At first they took him to star in the episode, and then they found out that he also raps, they invited him to participate in writing the soundtrack, then they found out that I was working with him. And as a result, this work was born. Perhaps now it will be possible to record another soundtrack for the film “Shadowboxing 2”.

At the end of 2006, Center created their own label, TsAO Records, currently one of the most famous alternative labels.
In 2007, TsAO Records released a reissued album of “Smoke Screen” - Floors. A little later, Guf’s solo album “City of Roads” was released, which was recognized as one of the best albums of that year in Russian rap.

In the same year the group changed its name to “ CENTR».
On October 25, 2007, the group’s debut album, “Swing,” was released, which received recognition from listeners. Interest in the album was increased after the success of "City of Roads", which took place shortly before the release of "Swing". Co-founder groups "CENTR"- Principle - at that time he had already been released from prison, but was temporarily separated from his creativity by law enforcement agencies, after his release he recorded together with group "CENTR"

In 2007 group "CENTR" writes the second soundtrack - an inversion of the song “My Game” for the film “Shadowboxing 2: Revenge”.
On September 9, 2008, the group performed in the “Artist’s Day” program on the A-ONE TV channel.
In 2008, the group’s second album, “Ether is Normal,” was released, which touches on the themes of drugs, Moscow streets and police officers.
In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used. Princip also participated in the album.
The same year it will be released on DVD. CENTR. The broadcast is normal. Concert in Moscow."
Group "CENTR"

Centr group in 2009-2010
In the summer of 2009, the original participant composition Centr Princip was again detained by the police. In the same summer of 2009, Guf left the group. He clearly stated this in his interview.
In September 2009, Slim’s debut album “Cold” and a video for the track of the same name were released.
In October 2009, Ptakhi’s first studio album, “About Nothing,” was released.

On January 7, 2010, Ptah announced in an interview that the group was breaking up. But despite this tour of the group "CENTR"(in the truncated composition of Slim, Ptah) continue.
After the “breakup” of the group, a video was shot for the song “Is It Easy to Be Young.” It was filmed because, according to the terms of the contract with the label, two videos were supposed to be shot for the album “Air is Normal.” Each member of the group was filmed separately at different times, in different places and they did not see each other (Although, Slim and Ptah often crossed paths).
By April 2010, as Ptakha (Zanuda) and Slim stated in the Urbana program (issue dated March 16, 2010), a joint album of the group “CENTR” (Slim, Ptakha) and the group “Legends Pro” should be released. It will be called "Legends About CENTR".
In a video report on the third anniversary of “CAO”, Ptah spoke about his future and the future of the “CENTR” group:
I found myself. I changed my name because groups "CENTR" no more, and I’m telling you a secret - there was no third participant and there won’t be - we were kidding! Third album of the group "CENTR" it won’t, if it does, it will be only the three of us with Guf, and this is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! Like this! Peace to everyone - it was the Bore from the Central Administrative District. Rest in peace “CENTR”, rest in peace Bird! Peace to you all, all the best to you!

Suddenly in 2010 group "CENTR" made itself felt again:
On July 29, at the ARENA MOSCOW club, the Wu-Tang Clan will perform in full force before the Moscow public. Before the concert, the organizers prepared a pleasant surprise for hip-hop fans; the newly reunited and perhaps the most popular rap team in our country, the group “CENTR,” will take the stage.

A big omission from our portal about all facets Russian rap- the fact that we somehow lost sight of the history of one of the most popular and revered groups - CENTR. No, we, of course, had active discussions and appeals to difficult biographies of Centr participants- each individually - but as a whole about the group CENTR, as a phenomenon - we somehow forgot. But it is important to admit mistakes and correct them, why our site about undercurrents Russian rap starts immediately:

Center- no longer just one of the most famous groups Russian rap segment, but also a visible phenomenon in our show business and pop world - with all the attributes (despite the image of the guys from the streets) - participation in corporate parties and at all sorts of official events that the bureaucracy arranges for its people in order to amuse the cattle and at the same time to organize these holidays, celebrations, to cut off another piece of the budget of active listeners of the domestic hip-hop style, mainly young people...

In the capital association of the Central Administrative District (and moreover, directly in Centr group).

The main theme in the group's songs when there were three of them was “high-rise buildings, drugs and wires.” Songs of the group Russian rap touch on the topic of life of several segments of the population. At the moment, the band members are mainly engaged in solo work, although they give concerts quite often Centr groups, performing both established hits and new tracks. The band's third album is expected in the fall, and is currently in the mixing stage.

The guys soon began to write songs with narcotic content, like “Muddy Muddy.” Other rap artists became interested in the guys: Paleny from the group “Ezekiel 25:17”, Basta, 5Plyukh and Zubrila, who at that time took a new pseudonym - Swift, and Slim became his producer.
At the end of 2006, Center created their own label, TsAO Records, currently one of the most famous alternative rap labels.

In the summer of 2009, Princip was again detained by the police for transporting a large quantity of prohibited substances. In the same summer of 2009, the group Center left Guf. He clearly stated this in his interview.

In September 2009, Slim’s debut album “Cold” and a video for the track of the same name were released. In October 2009, Ptakhi’s first studio album, “About Nothing,” was released.

Group conflicts Center

Group name Center

In 2007, after the release of the album “Swing”, the group changed its name from “Center” to Center due to the fact that its original name coincided with the name of the famous Soviet-Russian-American group “Center” by Vasily Shumov, which has existed since the late 1970s. The current name of the group - "CENTR" - is contrary to the norms of the English language (the letter "E" is missing at the end of the word).

Later, a message appeared on the official website of the Center group expressing outrage that, in their opinion, plagiarism of the group’s name had taken place. group Center accused that the similarity of names was a trick, to which they replied that it was a mere coincidence.

A clash with other representatives of the hip-hop crowd

In 2008, the group released the song “About Love,” in which Ptah says that diss songs are not the main thing in rap. The contradiction of the song is that the massive insults towards many rappers make the song a diss. Also in this song, Ptah mentioned St1M and Drago (known as aggressive battle rappers), which provoked the latter to record the response song “In the Center” and an amateur video for it. In this song, Drago jokingly insults Ptah and the rest of the band, saying that they promote cocaine (“I’m an athlete, I promote boxing, the band Center from Moscow promotes coke"), and their listeners are drug addicts (“three junkies pack really big rooms - no wonder: there are a lot of drug addicts in Russia”). After this song there were many videos from both sides and a challenge to a mixfight from Ptah.
After the mixfight didn’t take place, Drago wrote the track “Herolash 3”.

Guf's departure from Center
In August 2009, after a conflict with Slim and Ptah, Guf left the group Center and began solo work.
After Guf left Center Rumors began to appear about the breakup of the group. This event became so striking and loud that at the Russian Street Awards 2010 competition, the “breakup of the group CENTR” won in the “Hip-Hop Event of the Year” category.
“Actually, the question is why we broke up. This did not happen because we were jealous of him. The true reason for the collapse is rooted in the events of June 6, 2009 in Lugansk.” - Bird explains to us

Now there were 4 MCs in the “Center”: Princip, Rolex-X (later Guf), Ptah and Slimus (later Slim). However, between 2004 and 2005, Princip went to prison. The group's creativity was interrupted for a while: Slimus remained in the Smoke Screen group, Rolex-X continued to work on a solo album. But soon the rappers united again and began working together as part of: Guf, Slim, Ptah.

In 2006, the Smoke Screen group released the album “Floors,” literally the best album of the group. Guf participated in the recording of the album.

Guf.

Slim.

After the release of the film “HEAT”, people in the country started talking about the “Center” group. It’s just that the director of the film, Rezo Gigienishvili, invited Ptah to play a cameo role, and when he found out that Ptah knew Guf, he invited the Center group to write the soundtrack. Guf’s recitative plays on the radio in the car of one of the main characters in the film.

By the way, how did you get involved in the soundtrack for the film “ZHARA”? Guf: – Yes, it’s all thanks to Ptah, he punched through everything. At first they took him to star in the episode, and then they found out that he also raps, they invited him to participate in writing the soundtrack, then they found out that I was working with him. And as a result, this work was born. Perhaps now it will be possible to record another soundtrack for the film “Shadowboxing 2”.

In the same year, the group changed its name to “CENTR”.

On October 25, 2007, the group’s debut album, “Swing,” was released, which received recognition from listeners. Interest in the album was increased after the success of "City of Roads", which took place shortly before the release of "Swing". The co-founder of the group "CENTR" - Princip - had already been released from prison at that time, but was temporarily separated from his creativity by law enforcement agencies; after his release, he recorded the tracks "Iron Sky" and "Confession" with the group "CENTR", which were included in the album "Swing" ”, a year later - the song “Everyday Life” in the album “Ether is Normal”, then left the group and began solo work.

In 2007, the group “CENTR” wrote the second soundtrack - an inversion of the song “My Game” for the film “Shadowboxing 2: Revenge”.

Bird.

On September 9, 2008, the group performed in the “Artist’s Day” program on the A-ONE TV channel.
In 2008, the group’s second album, “Ether is Normal,” was released, which touches on the themes of drugs, Moscow streets and police officers. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used (see drug addict slang). Princip also participated in the album.
In the same year, “CENTR. The broadcast is normal. Concert in Moscow."

The group "CENTR" wins the "MTV RMA" award together with Basta for the song "City of Roads" from the album "Swing".

In the summer of 2009, Princip was again detained by the police. In the same summer of 2009, Guf left the group. He clearly stated this in his interview.

In September 2009, Slim’s debut album “Cold” and a video for the track of the same name were released.
In October 2009, Ptakhi’s first studio album, “About Nothing,” was released.

In December 2009, Guf’s 2nd studio album “At Home” was released, not released in the Central Administrative District.
On January 7, 2010, Ptah announced in an interview that the group was breaking up. But despite this, the tour of the group “CENTR” (Slim, Ptah) continues.

Group Center.

It will be called “Legends Pro CENTR”.

In a video report on the third anniversary of “CAO”, Ptah spoke about his future and the future of the “CENTR” group:
I found myself. I changed the name because the group “CENTR” no longer exists, and I’m telling you a secret - there was no third member and there never will be - we were kidding! There will not be a third album of the group “CENTR”; if there is one, it will be only the three of us with Guf, and this is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! Like this! Peace to all – it was the Bore from “CAO”. Rest in peace “CENTR”, rest in peace Bird! Peace to you all, all the best to you!

Suddenly, in 2010, the CENTR group made itself known again: on July 29, at the ARENA MOSCOW club, the Wu-Tang Clan will perform in full force before the Moscow public. Before the concert, the organizers prepared a pleasant surprise for hip-hop fans; the newly reunited and perhaps the most popular rap team in our country, the group “CENTR,” will take the stage.

The legendary Russian rap group "Center" again decided to please its fans. Several years passed after the musicians completed their joint activities and set off on their own. Each of the performers of the Center group began their solo career. At that time, not all fans understood the reasons for the group's breakup. But today the “Center” again appears before us in full force.

History of the founding of the group

Initially, the team had a different name. The biography of the Center group is very eventful. Its creators were Alexey Dolmatov and Roma. In the 2000s, the musicians came up with the name Rolexx. And this was the case until 2004. Afterwards, Alexey and Roma decided to rename the group, and it became known as “Center”. Its first creators are considered to be Guf (Alexey Dolmatov) and Princip. The musicians recorded one of their first albums called “Gift”. This was an event for the closest and dearest people. The album's circulation numbered only thirty copies. And they all quickly dispersed.

The album “Gift” had a symbolic number of tracks - thirteen. Literally a year later the musicians perform at a concert. Also at this time, the composition of the Center group was replenished with two new performers. They came from other groups. Bird was in the group Les Misérables, and Slim was in Smokescreen. But this composition did not last long. Princip left the group due to problems with the law. He received a prison sentence. This incident put the musicians into a kind of trance, and they suspended their work for a year.

Composition of the group "Center"

The Center group is not just some ordinary group that reads text to music. The guys entered the world history of the rap industry. They were able to strengthen their position in a short period of time and put tracks about drugs at a high level. The uniqueness of the group lies in the fact that all the musicians read about everyday life and their lives, and are not afraid to talk about what they use and what problems follow. The composition of the group changed several times, but all those who took part in it made a very big contribution to the development of the team.

Composition of the Center group:

  • Slim.
  • Principle.
  • Bird.
  • DJ Shved.

Centr is a rap group from Moscow. Princip was the first to leave the team for well-known reasons. Afterwards Guf also left the team. An interesting fact is that Alexey Dolmatov took the pseudonym Guf after the formation of the group. Before that it was called Rolexx.

The group's rapid career

After the release of the first album in the new line-up together with Guf, Ptah and Slim, the group’s popularity began to increase. Musicians began to be invited to concerts. The composition “Heat 77” became the soundtrack to the film “Heat,” which starred such famous actors as Arthur Smolyaninov, Konstantin Kryukov and Timati. Bird also played a cameo role. In the film, he is a thief who often commits scams, as well as the husband of the protagonist’s beloved girlfriend.

After the release of the first work, the second one for the film “Shadowboxing-2” followed after a while. famous for being written based on Basta’s composition “My Game”. Not only Guf, but also Basta took part in its creation. Their rapid career gave the musicians the opportunity and impetus to create their own label, TsAO Records. Some performers did not like such a rapid rise of their colleagues on stage. Conflicts began, especially due to the fact that the group’s name was already the author’s. For these reasons, the guys decided to rename the team CENTR.

“Center” is a group whose biography, reviews and creativity were ambiguous. Many people accepted the new name, but there were also those who could not get used to it for a long time. The highlight of the team was that Guf and Ptah have speech impediments. This has become their peculiar feature in the world of hip-hop. So, Guf burrs and does not pronounce a certain letter, and Ptah has a lisp.

"Swing" and showdowns

After TsAO Records was created, performers begin to record new tracks. So, in 2008 the album “Swing” was released. He becomes famous from the first days. Its circulation is more than twenty thousand copies. This album also includes a track called “About Love.” It was marked by the fact that Bird in it insults a rap artist from Germany. This moment really caught the opponent’s attention, so a corresponding reaction to the insult soon followed.

Further, video works were released on both sides, where both performers are trying to prove that they are right, while telling not very flattering stories about each other. Thus, a rapper from Germany spoke out about the group CENTR, noting that they promote drugs. But this did not change anything in the lives of musicians; they also read and compose texts about their lives, about what can be changed and what cannot.

Solo career

In 2009, one of its founders, Alexey Dolmatov, left the Center group. Everything happens quickly and unexpectedly. By the end of the year, the participants are already recording tracks separately. None of the musicians could really explain to their fans why Guf left. There were a lot of assumptions and myths. Only after a while does Slim say that they are simply tired of each other. After all, the schedule of rap artists was very tight, they practically did not rest. And all this greatly affects relationships in the team.

Guf took up a solo career and released his second album entitled “At Home”. Army Group Center was left with only Slim and Ptah. They toured together and completed the single “About Love.” It is noteworthy that the musicians signed a contract with the label and were supposed to shoot a video for the song “Is It Easy to Be Young.” The video was filmed after all, only all three performers were filmed in different places and at different times. Slim and Ptah no longer crossed paths with Guf.

Alexey Dolmatov: life and work

Alexey began rapping at the age of 19. He lived with his grandmother in Moscow and decided to create a group. A lot of time passed before he took the pseudonym Guf. In Moscow, Alexey was initially famous under the name Rolexx. His first composition, entitled “Chinese Wall,” was created together with rapper aka Marlin. After the world was able to see the talented musician, Guf began to take off. The creation of the Center group took place in the 2000s, at which time Alexey met his future wife.

The love story began in a nightclub where they first met. Guf's beloved was called Aiza. She was the daughter of an FSB general. Everything started to spin very quickly, and the newlyweds got married. Then came the birth of a child. But apparently, the stars were not on their side, and the couple soon separated. Isa married a surfer. In 2013, Alexey experienced a personal tragedy - the loss of his grandmother. She dies of a heart attack.

Group "Center": composition after return

In 2015, the Center group decides to reunite. Their first album, entitled “System,” will be released literally next year. The impetus for this was precisely Bird, who decided that the time had come for a reunion. After Guf left the group, the guys did not keep in touch for about five years. Each was pursuing their own solo career, but, as Slim said, “Center” gave them a lot, and therefore it’s worth trying again.

Today, the full lineup of the rap group Centr, together with A’STUDIO, is recording a new single, “Far.” Work is already underway on the video. Soon fans will be able to see new and fresh creative ideas from the musicians.

The Centr group is one of the most successful and promoted rap brands on the domestic hip-hop scene. Guf in solo form (after leaving the team), however, apparently collects no less at the box office.

"Centr" is a Russian rap group from Moscow, winner of MTV Russia 2008 in the Hip-Hop category. The current composition of the group: Slim, Ptah. In August 2009, Guf left the group. After his departure, rumors began to appear about the breakup of the group, but they were not destined to come true. This event became so striking and loud that at the 2010 Russian Street Awards competition in the category “Hip-Hop Event of the Year” the “breakup” won Centr group.

The Centr group is the founder of the TsAO Records label. The main theme of the group's songs are stories from life, including stories about drugs.

Period 2004-2005: Creation of the Centr group

Group "Center" was formed in 2004 by two Moscow companies, known as Rolexx and Princip. With this lineup they recorded an unofficial album called “Gift”. The circulation was only 13 copies, which were presented to the closest friends for the New Year.
Since 2002, the future Guf has been working on his debut album. During the creation of the album, his acquaintance with the group “Les Miserables” began, in which Ptah participated, who left it in 2000 due to creative disagreements with the other participants. The song “Clap-clap” by Rolexx and Ptah is included in the album “Gift”. In the same year, Ptah became interested in the children’s creativity and joined the Center.
Later, the group “Smokescreen” became interested in Rolexx and Princip, in 2002, whose member, Slim, recorded the song “Wedding” together with Rolexx and also began collaborating with the group “Center”, recording Rolexx’s soundtrack for the first version songs “Who Plays How”, as well as the songs “Leader”, “Clap-clap”, “New Year’s” (first version).

Now there were 4 MCs in the “Center”: Princip, Rolex-x (later became Guf), Ptah and Slim. However, between 2004 and 2005, Princip went to prison. The group's work was interrupted for a while: Slim remained in the Smoke Screen group, Rolexx continued to work on a solo album. But soon the performers united again and began working together as part of: Guf, Slim, Ptah.

Period 2006-2008: release of the sensational albums of the Centr group “Swing” and “Air is Normal”

In 2006, the Smoke Screen group released the album “Floors”. Guf, then still Rolex-x, participated in the recording of the album. In addition to the work of “Smoke Screen”, the group “Center” again began to write songs, the group’s old songs were re-released. In the period 2006-2007, members of the Center were engaged in the re-release of the album “Gift”, which was released in 2007. In 2006, Guf, Slim and Ptakha recorded the songs “Mudty Muddy” and “Heat 77”, written specifically for the film “ZHARA”.
“- Yes, by the way, how did you get into the soundtrack for the film “ZHARA”?

Guf: - Yes, it’s all thanks to Ptah, he broke through everything. At first they took him to star in the episode, and then they found out that he also raps, they invited him to participate in writing the soundtrack, then they found out that I was working with him. And as a result, this work was born. Perhaps now we will be able to record another soundtrack for the film “Shadowboxing 2”.

The guys soon began to write songs whose themes were related to the use of drugs, like “Muddy Muddy.” Other rap artists became interested in the guys: Paleny from the group “Ezekiel 25:17”, Basta, 5 Plyukh and Zubrila, who at that time took a new pseudonym - Swift, and Slim became his producer.
At the end of 2006, Center created their own label, TsAO Records, which released the reissued Smoke Screen album, Floors, in 2007. A little later, Guf’s solo album “City of Roads” was released, which was recognized as one of the best albums of that year in Russian rap.

In the same year, due to copyright problems, the group changed its name from "Center" to "Centr".
On October 25, 2007, the group’s debut album “Swing” was released. Interest in the album was increased after the success of "City of Roads", which took place shortly before the release of "Swing". Co-founder Group "Centr" Princip had already been released from prison at that time, but was temporarily separated from his creativity by law enforcement agencies, and after his release he recorded together with group "Centr" the songs “Iron Sky” and “Confession”, included in the album “Swing”, a year later - an autobiographical verse for the song “Everyday Life” on the album “Air is Normal”.

In 2007 group "Centr" in the person of Guf, together with Basta, writes the second soundtrack - an updated song of the first “My Game” for the film “Shadowboxing 2: Revenge”.
On September 9, 2008, the group performed in the “Artist’s Day” program on the A-ONE TV channel.
In 2008, the group’s second album, “Ether is Normal,” was released, which touches on the themes of drugs and their trafficking, Moscow streets and police officers. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used (see drug addict slang). Princip also participated in the album. The same year it will be released on DVD. Center. The broadcast is normal. Concert in Moscow." Centr Group wins the MTV RMA award together with Basta for the song “City of Roads” from the album “Swing”.
2009-2012: Guf’s departure and “Legends about...Centr”

In the summer of 2009, Princip was again detained by the police. That same summer, in June, Guf left the group. He stated this in his interview. In September 2009, Slim’s debut album “Cold” and a video for the track of the same name were released. Ptakhi’s debut album “About Nothing” was also released in October. In December, Guf’s second studio album “At Home” was released, no longer released on “TsAO”. On January 7, 2010, Ptah announced in an interview that the group was breaking up. But despite this, the tour of the group “Centr” (Slim, Ptah) then continued.

After the breakup of the group, a video was shot for the song “Is It Easy to Be Young.” It was filmed because, according to the terms of the contract with the label, two videos were supposed to be provided for the songs from the album “Air is Normal.” Each member of the group was filmed separately at different times, in different places, and they did not see each other (Although Slim and Bird crossed paths often). In a video report on the third anniversary of the Central Administrative District, Ptah spoke about his future and the future Group "Centr":
“I found myself. I changed the name because the “Centr” group no longer exists, and I’m telling you a secret - there was no third member and there never will be - we were kidding! Third album Group "Centr" it won’t be, if it happens, it will be only the three of us with Guf, and this is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! That’s it! Peace to everyone - it was the Bore from “TsAO”. Rest in peace “ Center", rest in peace Bird! Peace to you all, all the best to you! »

Unexpectedly, in 2010, the Centr group made itself known again:
“On July 26, at the Arena Moscow club, the Wu-Tang Clan will perform in full force before the Moscow public. Before the concert, the organizers prepared a pleasant surprise for hip-hop fans; the newly reunited and perhaps the most popular rap team in our country will take the stage. group "Centr".
On November 3, 2011, after long postponements, the album “Legends about Center", recorded together with the group "Legends about...", is finally being released. At the end of March 2012, the Stadium RUMA 2012 hip-hop award took place, where the album “Legends about Center"became "Album of the Year", and Slim won the "Artist of the Year" nomination.
In a report from Slim’s solo concert held in May, the band members said that the project Center frozen indefinitely.

Group name Cent
In 2007, after the release of the album “City of Roads,” the group changed its name from “Center” to “Centr” due to the fact that its original name coincided with the name of the famous Soviet-Russian-American group “Center” by Vasily Shumov, which existed since late 1970s. The current name of the group is “ Center"- contradicts the norms of the English language (the letter “e” is missing at the end of the word).
Later, a message appeared on the official website of the Center group expressing outrage that, in their opinion, plagiarism of the group’s name had taken place. Group " Center" accused the similarity of names to be a ruse, to which they replied that it was a mere coincidence.

Centr group clash with other MCs
In 2007, the group released the song “About Love,” in which Ptah says that diss songs are not the main thing in rap. The contradiction of the song is that the massive insults towards many rappers make the song a diss. Also in this song, Ptah mentioned the battle rappers St1M and Drago, which provoked the latter to record the response song “In the Center” and an amateur video for it. In this song, Drago jokingly insults Ptah and the rest of the group, saying that they promote cocaine (“I’m an athlete, I promote boxing, the Centr group from Moscow promotes coke”), and their listeners are drug addicts (“three junkies collect really sickly halls - not surprising: there are a lot of drug addicts in Russia"). After this song there were many videos from both sides and a challenge to a mixfight from Ptah. After the mixfight didn't take place, Drago wrote the track "Herolash 3".

In August 2009, after a conflict with Slim and Ptah, Guf left the group and began solo work.
After Guf left, rumors began to appear about the breakup of the group. This event became so loud that at the Russian Street Awards 2010, the “breakup of the group” won the “Hip-Hop Event of the Year” category Center».
“Actually, the question is why we broke up. This did not happen because we were jealous of him. The true reason for the collapse is rooted in the events of June 6, 2009 in Lugansk. " - Bird explains to us

Interesting facts from the Centr group
On the Internet you can find the song “Dust”, which consists of two verses dedicated to the theme of the film “Black Lightning”, and the chorus uses the words of the song by the group “A’Studio” - “Black Lightning”, which is included in the official soundtrack of the film.
