ZAP-TAIN AMERICA

The legitimacy of the name Shazam/Captain Marvel means that DC is only making it generic by passing on the jokes to the name that the hero initially states. But thanks to the nickname Freddie Freeman invented, fans can confirm that " Shazam!"takes place in the same universe as " Avengers» Marvel.

When Freddie begins uploading videos of Billy's exploits and abilities, he does so under different titles. It was expected that the film would contain some kind of reference to either the film " Captain Marvel" from Marvel Studios, released a month earlier, or on the character himself, given that Shazam once had the same name. In the end, this is what happened, but not everyone noticed it.

Among the names Freddy has in mind for Billy's character, the worst is without a doubt Captain Sparklefingers. Oddly enough, this is a direct reference to Carol Danvers, as her modern comic book series by Kelly Sue DeConnick does the same thing. Carol is given the alias Princess Sparklefists, which is actually considered MCU canon based on the tie-in novel. It is also worth noting that Billy, at least in this form, receives the name “Captain”.

NOLAN'S BATMAN'S BATCAVE

Fans would assume that this would be the version of Ben Affleck that is referenced in this film, given that it is part of the DCEU. But Billy is looking for a base with a view of the water, with a waterfall, that he can drive through. This is a perfect and pivotal description of the Batcave from Christopher Nolan's trilogy, and is as unforgettable for fans as it is for Billy.

HOLY MOLEY, BILLY

At this stage, it was necessary to interpret the main expression of the superhero. For the original Billy Batson comic strip, the phrase "Holy Moley" was something of a gimmick, and we hear it in the film.

Fans may remember when Shazam first approaches the bus hanging from the bridge and first utters the famous line in a more annoyed tone when he sees a situation and doesn't understand how to solve it.

There is no doubt that the film "Ready Player One" will be full of Easter eggs and references to cult works. They are in almost every frame of the teaser - you just have to look more closely.

The references begin even before immersion in virtual reality. If you listen closely, at the beginning, the slow melody of the song from the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" plays behind the scenes. This is no coincidence - the plot of "Player One" is largely inspired by the story of Charlie and Willy Wonka.

When the main character enters the bar, you can see the silhouettes of Harley Quinn and Deathstroke, DC comic book characters, on the left.

A few seconds later, a whirlwind of spinning bodies is visible. Among them one can discern a man in a hat and robe - apparently, this is Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings.

In the next frame, the Steel Giant appears - a robot from the full-length cartoon of the same name. According to the director, the Steel Giant will play an important role in the film. In the same frame, someone else is walking next to the robot. We have seen many similar images: it could be Kenshi Takahashi from Mortal Kombat, or Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden.

The next frame - and we see the DeLorean, the famous car from the Back to the Future film series. It appears several times in the trailer and appears to be the main character's car. We'll even be able to see the dates on the dashboard. There, of course, it is set to October 26, 1985!

In the mass battle you can see outlandish ostrich riders. This is a reference to the old arcade game Joust. Here you can also see a scorpion, which resembles a monster from the game Final Fantasy VII, but this may also be a reference to Wasteland 2. Riding on it is someone in a Superman cape, with a saber and, it seems, Napoleon's cocked hat.

The next shot shows another battle involving Freddy Krueger himself! Behind the maniac you can see Duke Nukem, and on the left is Kitana from Mortal Kombat.

The teaser focuses on another participant in the battle. According to one version, this is Voldemort from Harry Potter, according to another, a super mutant from the Fallout universe. He is armed with an assault rifle from the Halo series, and his cybernetic arm resembles part of the nanosuit from the Crysis series.

Apparently, it was he who blew up Freddy Krueger for coins!

The music is changing. We hear the composition Tom Sawyer of rock band Rush, James Halliday's favorite band, according to the book. Racers sit under it in their cars. You won't find any kind of cars here. For example, the red Plymouth Fury (see right) is the killer car “Christine” from the John Carpenter film of the same name based on the book by Stephen King.

Next to “Christina” are Lara Croft and Dizzy from Gears of War. Parked behind them was the Team A truck from the television series of the same name.

In the next scene, a red motorcycle speeds between the cars, similar to Kaneda's bike from the anime Akira. True, in the film it is slightly changed and resembles the futuristic light cycles from the film “Tron”. Later we can even see stickers on it: Atari, SEGA, Taito Corporation - cult gaming companies. Only Hello Kitty stands out a little.

Also in the race is the Interceptor from Mad Max. He is not very clearly visible because of the other participants and the bike, but for a couple of moments he can still be distinguished. Take a closer look, he's right behind the motorcycle!

But the most interesting thing in the trailer is not so much the characters and details from cult works, but rather hidden and unobvious Easter eggs. For example, at the very beginning of the bridge scene, you can see a QR code on the hood of a car.

It’s interesting that the Easter eggs don’t end there either. If you go to the official website of the film and close the trailer loading from YouTube, you can see a winners board in the style of old video games. It seems that it also contains some kind of Easter egg, but enthusiasts have not yet fully deciphered it.
