Endless Summer wiki walkthrough. "Endless Summer": walkthrough

"Endless Summer" is a controversial game that appeared in 2013. It became available on Steam only a year later. It is a visual novel that has the characteristics of Japanese erotic games, although this point is quite controversial.

Creation

The game “Endless Summer,” the passage of which is already available to all users, was not initially even conceived as a commercial project for which one could take money. Its creation was carried out by a group of enthusiasts who settled on the Ychan imageboard.

The guys started their activities in 2008, and the basis for their project was the developments of Project.Namae, which ended before it began. In addition to being available on PC, the game can also be run on Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS or Android operating systems thanks to the free Ren’Py engine.

Of course, one could say that "Endless Summer" is a kind of plagiarism that was previously implemented in Katawa Shoujo. The latter was also developed by activists from the imageboard, had the same engine and was about five heroines.

Plot

It's about a young man who gets on a bus in the winter and arrives at an unknown camp in the summer. Of course, Semyon gets scared and is in a state of shock, but he, like any hero, begins to live by the rules proposed by the developers.

The essence of his time travel is to understand himself, understand what he wants from life, and get answers to many questions. In addition, learn how to interact with the opposite sex. Since this is a game with erotic elements, Steam has cut out all such scenes, but for those over 18, a patch is available that reveals all the adult details.

Heroes

Those who decided to plunge into the passage of the game “Endless Summer” must know that there are a total of 13 endings in the game. This is due to the fact that Semyon can interact with six girls, and if he chooses loneliness, then two endings also await him.

This visual novel will bring many surprises, especially depending on the player's choices. Some ending options may not only surprise, but even shock. Therefore, further spoilers await you.

Semyon

Speaking about the game “Endless Summer”, the passage of all endings should begin with the main character. The gamer contacts them only when all relationships with girls have failed. It is believed that this route is the easiest to reach. Semyon just needs to go with the flow and ignore any interactions with the heroes.

It is worth saying that on this path he meets a certain mythical Pioneer who mocks him and is sarcastic all the time. He is also Semyon, but from a different reality. He ended up in Camp Owl for only 7 days, but they got stuck and now he has to live here forever.

Later it turns out that the same thing happens to our Semyon, but every time on the first day he loses his memory, so he does not remember that he lives the same life all the time. On the 7th day, when Semyon takes the bus to leave the camp, a mysterious voice calls him from the forest.

Here the player will have two options for plot development. Or he ignores it and returns to his reality, although the player is still in for a surprise. Or he goes into the forest, and there he loses consciousness, and the gamer sees the end credits. According to the screenwriter, it is at this moment that Semyon becomes a Pioneer.

Loneliness

There is no point in describing what the heroine is like. One thing worth saying is that at the beginning of the story, Alice is supposedly a friend of Lena, another girl in the camp. But she, with a rather inflated ego, believes that Semyon will choose her. But after spending the night together, Alisa and Semyon are left alone in the camp.

The guys decide to leave it and get to the regional center on foot. On the way, they have a conflict, and here the player also faces a choice. Or he confesses his feelings to Alice, and everything ends well: he returns to his reality, but later meets a girl similar to Alice. Or he keeps silent about his feelings and returns home alone.

Tragedy

The game “Endless Summer”, the passage of which will bring a lot of surprises, also prepared two endings with Lena. This story is perhaps the most dramatic and confusing. Lena is always jealous of the guy towards Alice. The last conflict leads to the girl beating her rival. Semyon has an incomprehensible dream, but after the end of his shift he leaves with everyone. Lena finishes her studies, he works and they have children. Here the player will not be able to fully understand what happened, but this ending is good, unlike the other option.

If throughout the game the main character did not pay enough attention to Lena, then after a series of events they decide to leave together. Semyon is waiting for the girl, but due to the fact that she does not come for a long time, he goes after her and finds her dead. It turns out that Lena opened her veins. Semyon goes to the bus, falls asleep, and when he wakes up at home, he can’t stand it and does the same thing.

Solution

Fame also managed to turn the head of the main character. At the end of the shift, the player again faces two endings. In the good ending, Semyon nevertheless confesses his feelings to Slava, he says that he came from another time, but she does not believe him. Still, they get on the bus together and fall asleep. When Semyon wakes up at home, he later meets Slava on the street and everything becomes fine.

The bad ending to this story isn't all that tragic. Semyon doesn't tell Slava anything about his time travel. They get on the bus, but in his world the young man does not meet Slava.

True path

Next, the game “Endless Summer”, the passage of which is very atmospheric, leads us to the girl Ulyana. She is the standard of decency here. She never hints anything to the guy and is generally far from adult relationships. Nevertheless, she enchants Semyon. If he supports her to the end, they get on the bus together, and in his world the guy returns to college, studies well and, of course, meets Ulyana.

If at one moment he spits on the girl, after her house arrest he leaves to mind his own business, then she remains in the camp, and the guy himself goes home. Although he is still recovering at the institute, he does not meet Ulyana.

Horror

As mentioned earlier, it is unknown what the passage will lead to in the game “Endless Summer”. Mika is the heroine of the game, who is associated with one of the variations of the ending, which makes no sense at all. The essence of this story: a dream within a dream. Sometimes it seems that the writers have confused everything so much that they themselves can hardly guess what makes sense.

In short, Semyon ends up in a camp, there he looks for Shurik, falls asleep in the forest and wakes up on a bus, as part of a film crew. Mika, whose name is Masha, was his ex-girlfriend. It's hard to figure out what she's doing on the film set bus. The couple goes for a swim, but when they return, they find themselves in a real pioneer camp.

Incomprehensible events begin to happen around. Someone was killed, someone hanged himself, zombies are walking around somewhere. One way or another, everything later turns out to be a dream; screenwriter Semyon realizes that he values Mika and decides to resume the relationship.

Wonders of the puzzle

Julia is an ambiguous character. The player will again have to deal with the lack of logic of the game developers. Unintelligible events begin to happen. Nevertheless, the main character will still be faced with a choice that will lead him to either a good ending or an alternative one.

If the guy returns to the camp, a series of events will lead to him being satisfied with his life, but the game scriptwriter still indicates that the hero will settle in an “artificial” world that embodies his ideas about an ideal life.

If he refuses to return to camp, this will lead to an alternative ending. He will get on the bus again and return home. But there all the memories associated with each heroine will flash before him. All five girls come to visit him and admit that they were also hostages of the “time loop.” Semyon will remember Yulia and, together with the other girls, will figure out this difficult puzzle.

It is believed that this ending is the most correct and real.

Other options

This game has a huge number of mods and additional scenarios. Most require special files to be installed. Among the most popular is “Endless Summer: 7 Days of Summer.” This custom scenario has even more endings. There are also 3 versions of prologues, there are 6 routes. In addition, a new heroine appears - Olga.

The next mod is "Endless Summer: Samantha". This story takes about the same time to complete as the original game. It tells the story of Samantha Smith, who became the prototype of a real-life American schoolgirl. This mod also received its logical continuation.

Night was approaching. The rain rustled outside the window, singing the mournful hymn of autumn in heavy drops. The mood was at the level of the Mariana Trench and was ready to set new depth records. Everything was so bad that even videos with funny cats no longer helped. Steam remained the last bastion of hope (well, besides booze), which had saved the mood from melancholy more than once before by providing access to endless game worlds, but never before had the impressive list of games looked so gray and meaningless. And so, when it seemed that it would be impossible to overcome despondency, my gaze suddenly encountered the inscription Everlasting Summer. A thought flashed through my head: “Summer... sounds great...” Man is an amazing creature. When it's summer outside, he complains about the heat. When it's winter, he complains about the cold. And only deprived of these hated natural extremes, he understands that summer and warmth, winter and cold - this is where happiness actually hides... The cursor reached for the label. Double click the mouse. A ladybug on a green leaf, and a road going somewhere into the distance. The journey to camp Sovyonok has begun...

Brief information

I think you already understand that this review will not be entirely ordinary. The fact is that, unlike all other reviews on the site, it is not dedicated to anime, but to a visual novel. I’ll say right away that until recently I didn’t play visual novels. At all. There were several objective reasons for this. Firstly, in my imagination, visual novels associated with low-end dating sims, in which you choose a two-dimensional girl from a harem and, through simple manipulations, win her heart. Simple, boring and pointless. I didn’t want to waste the time of my stormy youth so mediocrely (although who am I kidding...).

Of course, I knew about the existence of such titans of visual novels as Fate or Steins;Gate, but the prospect of falling out of the flow of life, immersed in the passage of a novel for a couple of months, did not seem the most attractive to me. Secondly, visual novels repulsed me with the abundance of text. No, I like to read, but I will always prefer a paper book to an e-book. And finally, thirdly, visual novels have never been known for interactivity, while I really appreciate this quality in games. Watching a soap movie is, of course, good, but personally, it’s much more pleasant for me to influence the development of events myself and feel that all the power and responsibility for the actions of the hero are in my hands. But, be that as it may, I decided to give Endless Summer a chance. And I was right.

Endless summer - visual novel developed by a domestic team Erogame Project, and released on December 21, 2013 under the label Soviet Games. On November 19, 2014, the game appeared on Steam. The start of development is considered to be May 2008, so the project can be considered a relatively long-term construction project. However, it is not surprising, because this novel was not initially planned as a commercial or advertising project and was made solely on the enthusiasm of the people of the iichan imageboard. The game uses the free and open source Ren'Py engine, which allows you to run the game on Windows, Linux, iOS and Android platforms.

Everlasting Summer tells the story of what happened to an ordinary hikikomori recluse, Semyon, eking out his miserable existence in a dirty, godforsaken apartment somewhere in the Russian outback. Having abandoned his studies at the university, he lives, doing odd jobs in order to somehow earn his own food. Semyon spends most of his time in front of a flickering monitor screen, communicating with anonymous people on image boards. But one cold winter evening, Semyon decides to go to a reunion. Jumping onto the arriving bus number 410, he thought about the meaning of life, and, in the end, fell asleep. And I woke up... in the Soviet pioneer camp "Sovyonok". Somehow, miraculously, the guy moved not only in space, but also in time, and now he has to find answers to many questions, among which the main one stands out: “What the hell is going on here and how do I get back?”

You ask: “Why did you choose Endless Summer among the endless variety of visual novels?” It's simple. This visual novel has been around for a long time, but I still didn’t dare to play it because of my extremely skeptical attitude towards domestically produced games, especially from those from imageboards (no offense). Not the least role in the rejection was played by the fact that the game is distributed completely free of charge, and the thought sat in my head that, they say, you can’t get anything good in our world for free. However, positive feedback from a friend of mine who has always been critical of games, as well as listening to the excellent soundtrack, made me reconsider Everlasting Summer.

Gameplay

I’m sure most of you have a superficial understanding of what visual novels are, but I’ll tell you just in case. I think the best description would be: “Interactive book with visuals and sounds” . Most of the information in visual novels is conveyed through text, while characters appear in the background, backgrounds change, and music plays. You look at the world through the eyes of the main character. From time to time, the player is presented with a choice with several possible options for action. The more similar choices and forks in the story, the more interactive the gameplay. In some visual novels there are practically no such forks. What could they be? Suppose the hero is in danger, and you can choose whether to fight or run away. Or, for example, should the main character go to a disco, or should he start looking for possible ways to escape from the camp. Of course, the choice made will subsequently affect the course of the story, and, accordingly, the ending, of which there are several in visual novels - both bad and good.

In terms of gameplay, Everlasting Summer is no different from most visual novels. You will have to read large volumes of text to unravel the secrets of the Sovenok camp. The plot is divided into seven days, in each of which the player will have to make several important decisions that affect the ending. The degree of interactivity in Everlasting Summer is quite high - there are a lot of decisions to be made, at least compared to other visual novels. As someone who has experienced every possible ending, I can say with confidence that most of the paths in Everlasting Summer are logical, and you can at least roughly guess what the impact of each choice will be. Although, of course, there are controversial issues, like the apple and the keys. Anyone who has played will understand what I mean. Separately, I would like to note the ability to rewind text that you have already read before, and stop rewinding at points that the player has not previously reached. It is very convenient for repeated playthroughs, when you get tired of reading the same text for the hundredth time.

The main character of Everlasting Summer is, leading a quiet, reclusive life in a dirty apartment. His image was based on a stereotypical idea of a typical imageboard visitor: he is a simple, intelligent, but reserved and cynical guy, happy with his lonely life, but deep down wanting to change something. Semyon’s character lies his main strength and weakness. Force, because the main target audience of Endless Summer initially consisted of imageboard guests, and it was enough for players to simply associate themselves with the main character. It's always more interesting to watch a hero similar to yourself, isn't it? Weakness, because from the point of view of an ordinary person, Semyon can hardly be called a role model. Many of his decisions as he progresses through the visual novel make him feel disgust and hostility towards the main character, because he begins to behave extremely stupidly, illogically and cowardly. I sometimes felt ashamed of his actions, and the most disgusting thing was that I could practically not influence his behavior in any way. This is especially noticeable in the bad endings of Alisa and Slavi, where he behaves like a schmuck.

The main feature of the Everlasting Summer characters is that their prototypes were mascots popular in the vastness of domestic imageboards, as well as heroes of Soviet films. For example, the basis Lena Despondent-chan lay down with Ychan, Alice- Dvach-chan from Dvacha, Olga Dmitrievna- Mod-chan from Ychan, huh Electronics... you won't believe it - Elektronik. Are the characters original? More likely no than yes. Are they interesting? Rather yes than no. If you wish, you could make a whole series of complaints about each character in Endless Summer, from strange behavior to lack of character development, but I won’t do that. Just because I liked the characters. Yes, they could have been done better, but that doesn't change the fact that I really enjoyed watching their stories. Despite the initial simplicity and superficiality, each heroine is endowed with a zest that makes you feel sympathy for her (well, except for Zhenya - she’s gone). Worked especially well Ulyanka- an excellent character, charging with energy. Character Lena also turned out to be an unexpected surprise - although you can’t tell right away whether it was pleasant or not...

Plot

The plot is one of the main reasons to play Endless Summer. Already during the first playthrough, it becomes clear that the situation in the Sovenok camp is not as simple as it seems at first glance, and that this is not a simple dating simulator, all the variety of which depends on the set of girls with whom you can sleep (and there are them, by the way , a lot). The player has a reason to replay the game many times, trying different combinations of solutions, because with each new playthrough, more and more new details from the life of the camp will be revealed to you. And, what’s most interesting, repeated playthroughs are logically justified by the plot! Everlasting Summer makes you want to return to solve all the mysteries. Personally, it’s hard for me to find greater pleasure than gradually, like a complex puzzle, piece by piece putting together an intricate story. And being attentive while passing pays off: for example, after a couple of playthroughs I realized that...

There is a hidden character in the game. I figured it out thanks to a few details. Firstly, based on the episode where Semyon collects ingredients for the cake. Secondly, the episode with the apple coming out of nowhere. Thirdly, strange dreams in which Semyon sits in a bunker under bombardment. But two moments turned out to be the most obvious: this is the silhouette of an unknown character with cat ears on the bus next to the driver at the beginning of the game, when you are shown all the heroines; and an image of a cat girl when exiting the game. Since I don’t believe in such coincidences, I assumed that this particular girl is the hidden character whose ending is revealed after completing all the other endings. Well, I was right.

Everlasting Summer has thirteen endings: two for Lena, two for Alice, two for Ulyana, two for Slavi, two for , one for , and two endings that are only unlocked after receiving the other endings. In the next section I will not provide any instructions for passing - there are plenty of similar instructions, for example. I’ll just comment on my feelings from each ending without spoilers.

Lena, bad ending— was my very first ending. Why did I choose Lena during my first playthrough? The logic was simple: Slavya is too banal and straightforward; Alice - at first glance it is clear that she is a tsundere - a type that I do not really respect; Ulyana - somehow I don’t want to be imprisoned for seducing minors; Miku is cute, but nothing more. Lena seemed the most adequate and simple option. Well, first impressions are deceiving. Lena's bad ending is by far the most emotionally powerful. It was this ending that served as the impetus for wanting to get the rest of the endings.

Lena, good ending- perhaps the most non-canonical ending of all. This is the only ending I was disappointed with.

Alice, bad ending- the second ending I received. The second one, because after the first playthrough I already roughly understood how to get it. After Lena's bad ending, Alice's ending didn't seem so bad. Although the behavior of the main character on the last day of the camp really pissed me off. This is the scourge of visual novels. You can't always make a character behave the way you would like. Semyon is creating heresy, and you have to watch it from the side, because you can no longer influence what happens in the ending.

Alice, good ending- practically no different from the bad ending, except that Semyon doesn’t behave like an idiot.

Semyon, good and bad endings- the third and fourth endings I received, which logically should have been the first. From the point of view of obtaining new information and answering questions, these endings are the most informative. After all, it is in Semyon’s endings that they tell you what situation the main character finds himself in, and that everything is not at all as simple as it seems at first glance.

Slavya, bad ending- a nice storyline with a nice heroine. A story about a perfect girl who is tired of being perfect. From the point of view of qualitative philosophical reasoning, Slavi’s story turned out to be the most powerful. The first ending was relatively difficult to obtain.

Slavya, good ending— there is practically no difference from a bad ending. True, the degree of understatement in it is felt weaker.

Ulyana, bad ending— the endings with Ulyana immediately became my favorite. If only because there is no vulgarity in them - only concentrated sweetness and kindness. Ulyana’s story looks like an improved version of Slavina: the same vibrant energy of life and desire for the future, only kinder and more straightforward.

Ulyana, good ending- and again there is practically no difference with the bad ending.

Miku ending— shows a different point of view on the events unfolding in the camp. After trying multiple times to get good endings for other heroines, Miku's story felt like a breath of fresh air. One problem is that to start Miku’s route, you have to be a very lucky person, since the order of actions is almost impossible to predict. At a certain point, I ran out of patience (and I tried for a really long time), and I asked my friend for help, who told me how to start rooting. But I still didn’t use the guides! :)

Hidden endings. Endings that supposedly answer all questions. Endings that should act as a kind of bonus for loyal fans. Endings that actually leave more questions than they answer. Personally, I was a little disappointed. No, seriously - after playing the game over a dozen times, the player deserves to receive clear answers to his questions. But in return he receives a hundred vague hints, which can be interpreted in different ways. Against the background of the above, I was especially amused by the following monologue, which appears in one of the hidden endings:

“This is probably the most terrible punishment for a person - wanting to understand something, but not being able to, wanting to change something, but not being able to, striving for something, but not being able to achieve it.” .

I wanted to understand what was happening, but did not get such an opportunity. I wanted to change my ignorance, but in return I received a bunch of new questions. I sought understanding, but plot holes prevented me from achieving it. With each new passage, the atmosphere of mystery in the visual novel becomes more and more intense. You're already looking forward to: “Now I’ll go through the game to the final endings, and everything will fall into place.” , to which the novella gives you the middle finger. Here are some of the questions that I was never able to find answers to on my own:

1). Why the hell did Shurik go crazy in the dungeon? Because of Yulia?

2). Who is the “superior” Semyon who is behind all this?

3). Who is Julia?

4). What kind of thunder and lightning were there when “evil” Semyon appeared?

5). What does this have to do with the city that appeared behind the camp?

6). Why did Semyon have dreams about a bomb shelter, in which he seemed to be supposed to be with Yulia?

7). What does an apple have to do with anything?

8). How can the choice of key and apple affect the beginning of the route with Yulia and Miku? Whaaaaaack?

9). Why does Yulia think that other Semyons would not talk to her and would not understand her, but with this she suddenly started talking? Apple again?

And don’t write to me that I’m stupid and therefore didn’t understand the brilliant plan of the screenwriters. I'm sure the answers to the questions listed above can be found somewhere on the forums. But why should I look for them? there? Why can't I get answers by carefully reading monologues and dialogues when playing the game multiple times? It’s one thing to leave some philosophical questions open, and quite another to keep silent about the fundamental moments of the story that the player comes across over and over again in the process of passing.

There are two ways to complete Everlasting Summer. In the first case, you stupidly open the walkthrough guide and quickly get all the endings. The second way is to carefully and independently play through the game without guides. I didn’t use guides purely on principle. I love playing through intricate games where you need to pay attention to various little things, and using guides in this case kills all the fun from playing through. Therefore, I promised that I would open all the endings myself, no matter how difficult it might be. I can say with confidence that the efforts were justified. When you go through a visual novel without any hints, each new phrase or scene is perceived not as something for granted, but as a well-deserved reward, and that's great. This is the only way, in my opinion, to get the most out of Everlasting Summer.

Text and dialogues

I think it’s no secret that visual novels feature a lot of text and dialogue, and the success of the game largely depends on their quality. Before the first launch, the text component of Everlasting Summer caused me the greatest fears, since I did not believe at all that people from iichan were capable of writing competent text with a decent level of Russian. I associated the image of the person from the imageboard more likely with illiterate Internet trolls juggling memes than with serious people capable of writing high-quality text. I was wrong. The quality of the monologues and dialogues in Everlasting Summer is truly at a high level. Firstly, no matter how much I read it, I could not find any significant errors in it. Secondly, I was struck by the level of thoughts embedded in the text. If desired, the player will be able to pick up many interesting ideas during the passage, which will be pleasant to reflect on at his leisure. It was especially pleasant to see high-quality everyday philosophy that would be close and understandable to everyone. For example, here is one of many examples of useful thoughts from Semyon:

“Sometimes this happens - you want to go somewhere away from your usual places. At least for a little while, at least for a couple of hours. I used to do this often - ride around unfamiliar areas or even neighboring cities. New places and new landscapes soothe my soul and make me understand that the world is not limited to the four walls of the apartment, the road to college or work. And if this is so, then there are people in it who live better or worse. This means that my average problems are not as tragic as they seem..."

Panache

The visual component of Everlasting Summer can be divided into three parts: background images, character sprites, and frames dedicated to important story events. The background images were a great success - any one can be used as a desktop background. They were created by Arseny Chebynkin, whose work is well known outside the anime community. Things are also going well with the character sprites, although sometimes the emotions of one or another heroine do not coincide with the text, and the appearance of the heroines could be more original - some of them differ only in hair color and breast size. The third component of the story, namely images dedicated to important plot events, for the most part appallingly low quality. Just look at the rich range of colors in the image below. How much do you have to love the color brown to decorate everything around with it? Or the scene in which the unfortunate Slavya clearly suffers from strabismus...

Music

The composer was responsible for creating the musical accompaniment Sergey Eybog and group Between August And December, and damn it, they did their job one hundred percent. This is one of those rare soundtracks that you can turn on and listen to all day while concentrating on your business. Delightful instrumental and electronic compositions authored by Sergei Eybog, magnificent rock performed by Between August And December - two components, the combination of which feels perfect harmony. The background music does a great job of conveying the mood and creating a tense or comedic atmosphere. I would especially like to mention the tracks Let's Be Friends(Lena's main theme), A Promise From Distant Days And Eat Some Troubles!(Ulyana's main theme). Of course, the other tracks turned out great too, but the ones listed above were the ones I remember best. Over two hours of first class music.

Ratings

Characters - 7.0. Girls for all colors and tastes. Among the heroines there are interesting and unexpected types. The main character is sometimes disappointing and acts like a jerk.

Plot - 9.0. Even despite the small holes, the plot still remains exciting and intriguing. Ulyana's story was especially successful.

Music - 10.0. Divine music that you can listen to for days on end. The duo of acoustics and electronics does amazing things.

Drawing - 7.5. Stunning background images and decent character sprites. From time to time, frames appear in which either the characters suffer from squint, or the artist was too lazy to switch from color to color when painting, or the emotions of the heroines do not coincide with the expected ones.

Text and dialogues - 9.0. I was amazed to see such well-written texts with an abundance of interesting thoughts and philosophical arguments.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I would like to note once again: Everlasting Summer is distributed completely free of charge - just download the game via Steam. Try to comprehend this. We live in a time when even the worst games are Steam Greenlit and sold for a lot of money. When projects like No Man’s Sky cost over two thousand rubles. When copyright holders lose their heads at the mere thought that someone will use their product for free. Now think about it - you have the opportunity absolutely free install the official version of the game, which can drag you into your networks for several tens of hours. The guys from the studio Soviet Games They wanted as many people as possible to get acquainted with their creation. They made the game for the players. In modern realities, such an approach seems strange and incredible, but it is this kind of love and dedication that makes me believe that humanity is not completely rotten, and a bright future awaits us... I'm not saying that Everlasting Summer will appeal to everyone - after all, it's a genre visual novels have a fairly narrow audience and can alienate a potential player with an abundance of text and low interactivity. But even with all its shortcomings, Endless Summer deserves to be given a chance. Just try it and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Rudean, special for site

P. S. Soviet Games just recently raised money on Kickstarter to create a new visual novel, “Love, Money, Rock and Roll.” The demo version is available now. Let's see what they end up with. I hope my ten bucks don't go to waste and they create something worthwhile :)

Harem ending

1. We go to the SEAD route

Visual novels are a fairly popular genre of computer games, but among a narrow circle of fans. The thing is that these projects are different from the rest in that here you do not need to take any action. Essentially, you're just watching a montage of footage that tells you your character's story. But at the same time, you are having conversations with other characters, and what you say will determine how the story will develop further. Most often, visual novels have more than one ending - for example, in the domestic project “Endless Summer” the passage can end with thirteen different options. And what your ending will be - it depends only on how you build relationships in the Soviet pioneer camp, where fate will throw you. In the story, you go on a bus to run errands, but you fall asleep and wake up in front of the gates of a summer camp. There are quite a lot of different personalities there, with whom you will build relationships.

Glorifying

In the game “Endless Summer” you can start your passage with any of the available characters, but you need to understand that you can achieve one or another ending only with the help of precise actions and specific answers to questions, correct dialogue and competent building of relationships. Naturally, in any case there will be at least some kind of ending, but if you want a good ending with a character you are interested in, you will have to try. If you win Slavya, then in the end you will have to explain to her that you came from another time - having fallen asleep on a bus in the winter at the age of about thirty, you woke up in a summer camp at the age of twenty. But Slavya will not believe you, so you will have to get on the bus and go home, as a result of which you will fall asleep. But you wake up in your apartment, realize that your life is not so bad and continue to live peacefully until one fine day you meet a girl very similar to Slavya. In the bad ending, everything happens exactly the same, only Slavya believes you, but on the way to her house you fall asleep, wake up in your apartment and live your life, never meeting Slavya or anyone like her. As you can see, in the game "Endless Summer" the passage can lead you to a variety of endings.

Ending Seeds

Separately, it is worth considering in the game “Endless Summer” a passage in which Semyon will not be able (intentionally or accidentally) to start a relationship with any of the girls. But even in this case there is a good and bad ending. In the first option, when you need to leave the camp, but you refuse, a voice calls you from the forest, promising salvation. Without listening to him, you get on the bus, fall asleep, after which normal life begins, which, however, hints at the cyclical nature of processes - you again go to the alumni meeting, which means repeating the story with the camp (naturally, before this the stranger erases your memory). But what's in a bad ending? It's quite strange, since to get it you need to follow the voice from the forest, talk to the creature in the bushes and lose consciousness. Actually, at this point the passage of the game “Endless Summer” ends, which gave rise to a lot of discussions.

Alice

The passage of the game "Endless Summer", of course, is not limited to two lines of development of events. After all, there are enough girls in the camp that Semyon can meet. For example, Alice. Although this is a rather difficult option. The fact is that she is Lena's friend, who is superior to Alice in everything. That's why she doesn't believe until the very end that Semyon can love her. What happens in the good ending? Alice brings Semyon to the house, where they drink, and Alice hopes that the alcohol will loosen Semyon's tongue. But as a result, they drink too much, and it all ends in sex, after which they set off on foot to the regional center, since everyone left without them. As a result, Semyon confesses his love to Alice, they catch a passing bus and fall asleep there. After this, Semyon wakes up and, while his memories are still fresh, changes his life - he learns to play the guitar, puts together a band and travels with concerts, at one of which he meets a girl similar to Alice. The bad ending is different in that Semyon does not confess his love to Alice, which is why he wakes up in real life with nothing and does not meet the girl at any concert. These are the kinds of turns your passage in the game “Endless Summer” can throw at you. The scheme is quite confusing, but if you think logically, you can get to the desired ending.

Alternate Alice ending

In the case of Alice, there is also an alternative ending - here Semyon is not doing well with the group, so he constantly has to change its members. And one fine day he arranges a meeting with a new guitarist, who turns out to be Alice - she also perfectly remembers what happened in the “dream” about the camp, so she immediately rushes into your arms - this is how the passage ends in the game “Endless Summer” . Alice remains with you, but this is not the end of the story.

Lena's endings

Lena is a character for whom there is also a walkthrough in the game "Endless Summer". Its scheme is no less confusing than in previous cases. The good ending blows many minds, since Lena and Semyon remain in the camp when everyone leaves, make love, after which Semyon wakes up. It turns out that it was a dream. After that, they leave the camp, each living their own lives, but then they reunite, get married, have children and live simply as human beings. A very calm ending. Especially when compared to what awaits you in the bad ending. After all, there Semyon will quarrel with Lena over Alisa and before leaving the camp he will wait a long time for the girl. Returning to the house, he will find that Lena has opened her veins. She dies in the protagonist's arms, after which he trudges onto the bus, falls asleep there, and wakes up in his apartment and cuts his own wrists. This ending is the most frightening of all in the game "Endless Summer". The mine, the passage of which will greatly affect the ending with Lena, is an important point, and if you do not want such a tragedy, read the dialogues carefully.

Ulyana

As you already understand, the mine significantly influences the outcome of the game “Endless Summer”. The passage can very sharply change its direction right there, so be careful even if you play Ulyana’s line. Why even? The fact is that Ulyana is a little girl with whom you can only have friendly relations. She is an incredible prankster, and you will have the honor of helping her in her fun. As a result, her next prank ends with the pioneers laughing at her, and she runs away into the forest in tears. Semyon calms her down, after which their strongest friendship begins. They fall asleep together while watching TV, for which they are punished. And if you stand up for Ulyana, then a good ending awaits you. Waking up in the real world, Semyon will return to the university, where he will meet the matured Ulyana, who has just entered her first year. The bad ending is caused by refusing to help and sympathize with Ulyana - you will return to the real world, but nothing will change. So, these are the main lines that are available to you in the game "Endless Summer". Completing all endings, however, gives you access to a new character - Miku.

Miku's plot

If you have unlocked all the endings in the game "Endless Summer", then a crazy adventure awaits you. This line will be very different from the others, because here you will take part in a real horror movie, which, of course, turns out to be your dream. There is only a happy ending where Semyon stays with Miku and they live happily ever after. But this is not where the passage in the game “Endless Summer” ends. Slavya and the other girls were just the initial characters that led you to Miku, and after completing her you get access to Yulia.

Final endings

Julia is the most unusual character in the game, since she has cat ears, she behaves like a small talking animal, no one can see her. Overall, this is another camp mystery that allows you to get closer to fully unraveling all the secrets. Fortunately, there are no bad endings here - both options will be good in their own way. In the first of them, you will have to look into the very essence of this place, communicate with all the pioneers (they are your “shadows”) who were here before you. And also with the main creature, which is something like the brain of this mysterious place. You will eventually wake up in your bed with one of the girls from the camp next to you - for this you will need to make another choice. You will not remember anything about the camp, but you will not return to the real world, you will remain in a happy dream.

Real ending

The only ending that gives you a chance to come directly from the camp to reality is Yulia’s second ending. Refusing to return to the camp, where a meeting with shadows and the “brain” would await him, Semyon goes to the city, but a bus catches up with him, where he falls asleep. He wakes up from the doorbell, behind which all the girls from the camp are standing. It turns out that they were all in this dream, but were able to break out of it with the help of Semyon.

Alice is a girl of average height with bright red hair tied in two short ponytails. At first, the main character is characterized as a hooligan, due to her love of teasing people with various methods and her unwillingness to follow the rules of the camp. But, outside of this image, Alice is kind, fearful and naive, as well as shy and inexperienced in love.

Alice is a person who will not get involved with anyone she meets, as she has strong principles regarding people. Therefore, it is quite difficult to gain her favor.

She loves playing the guitar, but has never been seen playing in public. Loves swimming. She gets very annoyed when someone calls her "DwaChe".

Full description

Character
Tomboy. She grew up in not the easiest conditions. The character is firm, sometimes hot-tempered. An avid debater. He won’t reach into his pocket for a word and can easily let go of his hands. At the same time, he doesn’t abandon his own people, he stands up for his friends and values friendship above all else. Dvach-chan smokes, but no one knows about it except USSR-chan. She always does this alone, and at such moments all her inner fragility is exposed. Sometimes, at night, her bed is empty. Zodiac sign: Scorpio

Priorities
She will only accept a person who is not inferior to her in anything. Brave, loyal, devoted, a little crazy. And most importantly - someone who loves her for who she is! Then Dvach-chan will be yours, and believe me, you will never be bored with her.

Behavior
He has an active position in everything, which often contradicts generally accepted practices; in his actions he is guided only by his own opinion. He does not like large companies, preferring to be in a small circle of proven “friends”. He is not averse to misbehavior in order to maintain his authority. He ignores all camp rules and despises fun competitions. At the same time, there is no sport in which she does not occupy one of the leading positions. Hates routine (You have a better chance of seeing an American submarine next to the pier than a dvach-chan with a broom sweeping the camp area). She may completely unexpectedly show sympathy and tenderness, but this does not mean at all that you have won her favor. The next day, most likely, you will see the usual impudent dvach-chan, and you will very much doubt whether you dreamed all this.

Relationships

Ulyana is a roommate, the best (and only) friend in the camp. Together they pulled off many tricks. For Alice, she is like a little sister who needs to be taken care of.

Slavya - the relationship with her is not revealed in the short story, but Alice probably doesn’t like Slavya for her “correctness”

Lena is an old friend, against whom Alice has been harboring a grudge since childhood for constantly depriving her of the attention of others. In the camp they try not to pay attention to each other, but everything changes when a common love interest appears in their lives - Semyon.

Miku - shares Alice's love for music, they communicated (in Ulyana's route).

Semyon was able to interest Alisa with his behavior, after which she began to show peculiar signs of attention, and eventually fell in love. But love remained unrequited for some time.

Interesting Facts

1. Initially, Alice was supposed to look a little different - her tails were supposed to be larger and look like lightning - thus she copied Dvach-chan's design. But overseas players didn't understand the reference, and instead nicknamed her "Pikachu-girl", after the fact that her tails resembled that of the Pokémon Pikachu. The artists were not satisfied with this reaction, and they made adjustments to the design.

2. In the old version of the plot, Dvach-chan was an orphan and grew up in an orphanage. She also smoked, drank and generally behaved more defiantly. It was decided to remove this in the final version.

3. Alice is the only girl who does not look at the main character in the opening video.

Writer's commentary

Alice - she generally cares deeply about everyone and everything. She once had some feelings, but she had long forgotten about them. Nobody needs her - that’s what she thinks, because there are more beautiful, cute, pliable people around than her. And she has her own principles. She no longer remembers which ones exactly, but she cannot live any other way. She needs a person who will not look at the outer husk (only GG can understand this and change her character as a whole), who can understand these very principles that she herself has forgotten about.

Story and endings (!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Alice is one of the main characters of the novel, and has a route with two endings - good and bad, depending on the player's choices. Having fallen in love with Semyon, she has a complex because, in her opinion, Lena has already taken over him, and the hero himself simply does not like Alice. Therefore, she does not let him know about her feelings until an accidental coincidence in which he overheard an argument between her and Lena on this topic, and found out everything himself. In the good ending, Semyon and Alisa decide to get to the regional center on foot and walk until nightfall. At the rest stop they quarrel, but the quarrel itself ends with Semyon confessing his love to Alice. In real life, Semyon regrets the separation from Alisa and begins to take guitar lessons, forms his own band and plays at concerts. At one of the performances, he meets a girl very similar to Alice.
