Kukryniksy drummer. Kukryniksy (group)

Group leader - Alexey Gorshenev (Yagoda), the younger brother of Mikhail Gorshenev (Gorshka) - one of the leaders of the “King and the Jester” group. The name of the group comes from the trio of Soviet cartoonists Kukryniksy: Kupriyanov, Krylov and Sokolov. The word was chosen by chance and was initially accepted as temporary, but the name stuck and was not changed.

The group's musical style, which generally fits into rock, has changed over time. On the first albums the band played punk rock, but on later albums they moved away from punk, showing some influence from gothic rock.

The group's first concert took place at the now defunct Polygon club on May 28, 1997. It is from this date that the existence of the Kukryniksy team begins. The musicians claim that at first the name was tied to the group "Kukryniksy", and then it became the name of the group. At the first concert, people from the Manchester Files record company approached the musicians. A little more than a year later, the debut album of the same name was released on this label. "Kukryniksy". The album included 12 compositions, two of which brought the group popularity - “It’s not a problem,” soon re-recorded and re-released on the group’s second album, and “Soldier’s Sadness.” Participated in the recording of the album Alexey Gorshenev, Alexander Leontyev, Dmitry Gusev and Maxim Voitov.

In 2000, the group took part in the tribute to the Kino group “Kinoproby”, recording two songs: “Summer will end soon” and a little later “Sadness”.

A significant event in the history of the group was the performance at “Invasion 2001” in Ramenskoye. For the beginning group this was a serious breakthrough. Subsequently, the group did not miss a single “Invasion”.

In the spring of 2002, the second album was born Painted Soul. This album is unusual in that it is based on guitar music. It was after its release that headlines appeared in the press: “Another group that believed in guitar music” and “Guitar rock of the Kukryniks.” The group recorded this album with a different line-up than the previous one. Alexander Leontyev And Maxim Voitov are involved there only in bonus tracks recorded at an earlier date in contrast to the main material. Joined the group Dmitry Ohanyan, Victor Bastrakov, who soon left the group, and Ilya Levakov(also soon left the team). The group shot a video for the song “Painted Soul”; it became the second video in the group’s history (the first video was “It’s not a problem”). Both clips were rotated on Russian television.

During 2003, the album was recorded "Clash". At the end of 2002, in his New Year's greetings on the official website, Alexey Gorshenev said: We hope that next year we will release our new album Clash.

But that did not happen. The promised album was released only in the spring of 2004. This album showed the music community the new sound of the group, which the musicians had been looking for for so long. An instrumental composition (“Time”) appears in “Clash.” From the recording of this album, the composition of the group did not change until 2008: Alexey Gorshenev (vocals, lyrics, rhythm guitar), Dmitry Gusev (guitar, music), Dmitry Oganyan (bass guitar, backing vocals), Roman Nikolaev (drums), Stas Mayorov (sound, programming). On May 15, 2004, a presentation of the album “Clash” took place at the St. Petersburg club “Old House”. In the fall of the same year, the DVD “Clash Live” was released with this concert and 3 clips of the group, and a clip of “Pops” from the Rock Group project.

To the song "Know" A video clip was shot from the album “Clash”, which was not widely popular on Russian television. Filming took place in the Leningrad region.

Since the summer of 2004, the musicians have been recording the album "Favorite of the Sun". During this time, the group changed the record company from CD-Land to Nikitin. The album was released on November 25, 2004, and included 11 songs. The album also contains an instrumental, as well as a song based on poetry by Sergei Yesenin. The recording was carried out at the DDT studio. By the way, in the studio, musicians record only the voice and bass; everything else is recorded at home. Dmitry Gusev considers this a good tradition.

At the end of November, the group took part in the filming of the New Year’s program “Blue Light 2”, where they performed Muslim Magomaev’s famous song “Wedding” in a duet with the famous singer Alena Apina. Alexey Gorshenev: Actually, it was a funny situation. We recorded the main material, and Apina, who was simply given a piece of paper with the lyrics, sang along with us, as they say, without any idea of who we were. Then, after the performance, she came up: “Oh, how cool - you guys are so interesting! Let me sing my part again - otherwise I thought it was nonsense, and I sang just to get rid of it.” Of course, she did it no better the second time, but the fact itself is interesting (laughs).

After this performance, statements began to appear in the press about the fact that the Kukryniksy “got into pop” by singing with a pop diva of the national stage, to which the group leader objected: I would like to sing with even worse performers, because here we are in a more advantageous position situations: we show that rock and roll is better than all these pop affairs. And the worse the artist, the better. It would be nice to sing with some “Cream”, because Alena Apina is still an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. By the way, I later saw this performance from the outside and I won’t say that it somehow humiliated my dignity. Yes, it happens that with such cooperation the pop singers win, and the rockers are left with nothing... but this is not the case. We “remained on the horse” - and thank God.

On September 31, 2005, Fyodor Bondarchuk’s film “9th Company” was released on Russian television channels. Long before the start of filming, the director of the film invited Alexey Gorshenev to write a song for the film, to which Alexey responded and in the shortest possible time the song “9th Company” was written and performed. The song successfully entered the rotation of “Our Radio” and instantly became popular. Fyodor Bondarchuk said that the song would be suitable for the film's credits. But the concept and idea of the film were constantly revised and changed, and in the end the band’s song did not ideologically fit the spirit of the film. Bondarchuk provided the group with materials from the film for editing the group's video clip for a new song "Star". The clip was successfully rotated on music TV channels and even took first place in the SMS chart on MTV.

Starting in the summer of 2005, the recording of the group's fifth album began. "Shaman". The group began playing and performing some songs from it (“Star”, “Motherland - Photography”, “Shooting Star”, “Illusions”) back in April of the same year. The album was released in April 2006. It included 12 compositions, including the song “Phoenix”, entirely written and performed by Dmitry Ohanyan.

At the beginning of 2007, the website of the official fan club was transformed into the official website of the group www.kukry.ru.

The band's new album was released in December 2007 "XXX".

The year 2008 for the group began with the sound engineer leaving the group after creative differences. Stanislav Mayorov.

The first concert-presentation of the new album “XXX” took place at the Moscow SDK MAI on February 15, 2008.

In 2010 "Kukryniksy" took part in the recording of the collection “Salt - Our Musical Traditions”. On the first part of the collection “Kukryniksy” they recorded a song "Black Raven". The same song was included in the new album "Riders of Light".

The presentation of the album took place on September 7, 2010 "Riders of Light". Two official videos were shot from this album “Z. L.O." And "Cell".

On September 24, 2010, a joint project of the Kukryniksy group and American singer Stephanie Starr called “K Republic” was released and released an album "All Those Things I Left Behind"(everything I left behind)

in 2010 another guitarist joined the group Igor Voronov.

Also this year the drummer changed, instead of Romana Nikolaeva now playing Mikhail Fomin.

12/06/2014 The Kukryniksy group released a maxi-single called “Ecclesiastes”.

On July 20, 2016, the album “Artist” was released, which Kukryniksy dedicated to all artists, including Mikhail Yuryevich Gorshenev (brother of lead singer Kukryniksy, deceased lead singer from the group King and the Jester).

The Kukryniksy spent the fall of 2017/spring of 2018 on an anniversary tour dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the team. After the festive concerts, the team will finish its creative journey.

“To continue to exist, according to the leader of the group Alexei Gorshenev, under the name of the union of cartoonists (in many ways alien and completely alien people) is not possible! Alexey’s creative ideas are already associated with the new and with the new!” - says the group's website.

A new project “Gorshenev” will appear on the basis of Kukryniksy:

“The changes will affect not only the name, but also the composition, musical direction, and concept. Although, of course, it will not be possible to escape far from the “past”. The group’s significant songs and hits will remain in the new creation!”

Farewell tour

Regarding the farewell tour, the band made an official statement on their official website:

Once again we want to explain to those who continue to make fun of the “farewell tour” of the KUKRYNIKSY group: concerts were held in 51 cities, 13 more remain; in every city this is the last performance of the group.

We believed that the last concert would take place on May 27 in Mogilev, but it so happened that the history and success of the group are inextricably linked with Our Radio. The group took part in the NASHESHIE festival 15 times, and we decided that the final chord should sound there.

August 3, 2018. Bolshoye Zavidovo. Main stage. The headliner of the first day is the Kukryniksy group with the program “20 YEARS - FINAL”. This will be the LAST performance of the Kukryniksy group.

The Kukryniksy group is a vivid example of how a hobby into which they poured their souls turned into a large-scale musical project loved by millions of fans. And this is not surprising, because in the melodies of “Kukryniksy” both fans of punk rock, and fans of classic rock tunes, and those who like folk music find something of their own. Along with such teams as, and other groups, “Kukryniksy” took pride of place in the lists of favorite rock bands of fans of the genre.

History of creation

The Kukryniksy group was initially an amateur group of musicians who periodically performed compositions of their own compositions, occasionally performed in local cultural centers and did not take what was happening seriously at all. The name of the group was born in the same way - as a joke, not seriously.

The musicians borrowed the word “kukryniksy” from another creative team - a trio of cartoonists Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiry Krylov and Nikolai Sokolov, who worked under this funny pseudonym.

The name, which seemed temporary, remained with the group for two decades. Music-making itself, which was perceived by the participants as a hobby, seemed just as temporary. But in 1997, after another “frivolous” performance, representatives of the recording company “Manchester Files” drew attention to the group.

This day - May 28 - is considered to be the birthday of the Kukryniksy group. And if until this moment the musicians most often performed as an opening act for the team “King and the Clown” (the leader of which was brother -), now a completely new page of independent creativity has opened in the biography of the group “Kukryniksy”.

Compound

Over the years of the group's existence, the composition of the musicians has changed several times, people left, new ones came to replace them, but the leader and soloist, as well as the author of most of the songs, Alexey Gorshenev, went with the group all the way to the end.

Alexey is from Birobidzhan (born October 3, 1975). Since childhood, like his older brother Mikhail, he was fond of music. In many interviews, the artist admitted that he was always literally obsessed with the desire to write music - this way of expressing feelings and thoughts seemed to Gorshenev the most obvious. Fate decreed that both brothers found their place in creativity and on stage.

Together with Alexey, musicians Maxim Voitov, Alexander Leontyev (guitar and backing vocals), as well as Dmitry Gusev stood at the origins of the group. The band's debut album was also recorded with the same line-up.

Later, Ilya Levakov, Viktor Batrakov and other musicians joined the group. The sound of Kukryniksy’s compositions became more and more multifaceted and professional, and even seasoned rockers began to take the team seriously.

The current composition of the Kukryniksy group, which became the last, is the permanent Alexey Gorshenev, as well as guitarist Igor Voronov, drummer Mikhail Fomin and Dmitry Oganyan (backing vocalist and bass guitarist).

Music

In 1998, the group recorded their debut album, called “Kukryniksy”. The album was received favorably by both rock music fans and picky music reviewers. The most popular compositions that are still relevant today are “No Problem” and “Soldier’s Sadness.” The musicians began to tour with this album, so soon all music lovers in the country learned about the new band.

Two years later, the already popular group was invited to participate in the “FILM Test” project, dedicated to the memory of the leader of the group. Alexey Gorshenev and his comrades performed the songs “Summer Will End Soon” and “Sadness,” giving these compositions a special flavor that became the hallmark of “Kukryniksy.”

At the same time, the musicians managed to preserve the original mood of each track, put into it by the author. In 2002, the second album of “Kukryniksy” was released, called “Painted Soul”. The title song from this record received almost the same name - “According to the Painted Soul”.

Song of the group “Kukryniksy” “Black Bride”

Immediately after the release, the team began writing compositions for the next album - “Clash”, which was released in 2004 and is remembered for the songs “Black Bride”, “Silver September”, “Movement”. In the same year, the team released another record called “Favorite of the Sun.”

The following year was marked for “Kukryniksy” with the recording of the composition “Star”, which was originally intended for the director’s film “9th Company” (with,). Unfortunately, the track was never included in the film and was later released as part of the album “Shaman”, and the footage became a video for this composition.

In 2007, the team pleased fans with another album “XXX”, which was remembered for the songs “Nobody”, “My New World”, “Fall”. And three years later, the team took part in the compilation of the collection “Salt” - Our Musical Traditions,” which also included songs by groups and teams.

In parallel with work in the studio, the Kukryniksy group constantly toured, performed solo concerts, and also did not miss high-profile music festivals and national events.

Song of the group "Kukryniksy" "Yesenin"

The group's fans grew more and more, and it was rare that a performance took place without a full auditorium. Alexey Gorshenev also worked on a solo project dedicated to memory and creativity.

It seemed that the triumphant march of “Kukryniksy” through concert halls and stadiums would not end, and new records would be released one after another. But in 2017, Alexey Gorshenev shocked fans with the announcement that the Kukryniksy team was ceasing to exist.

"Kukryniksy" now

Now the Kukryniksy group is giving its last tour, in which the musicians tried to include as many cities as possible in order to say goodbye to their fans. 20 years have passed since the founding of the team, and 2018 became an anniversary for Alexey Gorshenev and the team.

On Instagram and other social networks, as well as on music forums, all sorts of rumors and speculation began to spread about the breakup of the group, but Alexey Gorshenev suppressed these speculations with an announcement on the official website of the group. According to the musician, this is not the end, but a step forward.

Immediately after the end of the tour, Alexey intends to start working on a solo project. Details have not yet been disclosed, but it is already known that Gorshenev intends to change the style of compositions and the very concept of performances. In addition, according to rumors, the musician is preparing a surprise for fans.

Song of the group “Kukryniksy” “The Last Song”

The last performance of “Kukryniksy” is scheduled for August 3, 2018 at the “Invasion” rock festival. It is noteworthy that this year the festival itself also turns 20 years old. In addition to “Kukryniksy”, the groups “KnyaZz”, “Night Snipers” and other rock stars will appear on stage in Bolshoye Zavidovo (Tver region).

Those who don’t get to attend any of the last concerts of their favorite team can get acquainted with the “Last Song” of the group, which has already gained popularity on the Internet.

Vladivostok, May 6 - AiF-Primorye. The group “Kukryniksy” performed on the stage of the TKK “Underground” in Vladivostok on May 3. This is the first concert in the capital of Primorye in the entire more than 15-year creative career of the group. Before the concert, we talked with the group’s lead singer Alexei Gorshenev, who revealed the secrets and difficulties of searching for truth in the modern world, spoke about his attitude to alcohol and competition with his older brother, the leader of the “King and the Jester” group.

It’s very nice to see you in Vladivostok. The concert is expected to be sold out, and in this regard, the question is: what atmosphere do you prefer: when there are a lot of people or, on the contrary, when there are more intimate concerts?

Alexey Gorshenev: When there are a lot of people. Artists are vain people and require special attention. What do you think, the artist will tell you: “No, seven people will be enough for me, I’ll tear them up here”?

- No, well, you understand that “many people” is a vague concept. So a stadium or a concert hall?

A.G.: It doesn't matter. The main thing is that the walls are filled. Here they are, the walls, they must all be filled - big or huge - it doesn’t matter!

- Are you inspired more by positive or negative emotions in your work?

A.G.: We cannot abstract ourselves from negative emotions or from positive ones - they are a common whole. This is called life. This is called electric current. That's all. I try to be sincere and step on the tail of the truth. And the tail of truth drags me to the fact that I need to look life clearly in the face and not be afraid of either the negative or the positive. So I analyze life as it is, and it consists of everything that is.

In an interview several years ago, you said that you perform the song “Nobody” at all concerts, that this is your favorite composition. Has anything changed over the years, have you come up with any new songs that you still like? Maybe some song outshone it from your new work? Or is she still your favorite?

A.G.: I wouldn’t say that I like “Nobody” specifically, but all the others are so-so. Maybe it's just the most successful arrangement. Some compositions you hope for, and then something fails, either in the arrangement or in something else, and you begin to dislike it. In general, for me, among my own songs, there are no better or worse ones - there are successful and unsuccessful ones.

People often ask about your connection with Yesenin. You yourself once said that not all poems can be translated. Are there any poems that can never be set to music, and you regret it? Or, on the contrary, poems that you will not try to set to music?

A.G.: No, feeling sorry is completely cool. Still, probably, if I regretted it, I would have made every effort to do it. No, I don't regret it, by no means. The point is that I would like to capture his love for the village, but it is difficult. I just don’t understand how to do this - I’m not a village person, I could make a mistake. I can hardly make a mistake in the depth of his torment, because I am going approximately in the same direction, I understand him. But I don’t share his love for the village, and that’s why it’s difficult for me. I just don’t understand what he saw in it. I am a city person and the countryside is alien to me.

- What's the story with Konstantinov? The museum expressed gratitude to you, or maybe some kind of joint work?

A.G.: No, people just called our director and said thank you very much, they were inspired by it, and I’m actually very pleased with it. People are professionals, they know Sergei Yesenin, all his ins and outs, they love him much more, probably, than I do. And so they found in me, so to speak, a musical conductor of his creativity.

Recently, museums have been trying to adopt some new things in order to attract young people in one way or another - have they proposed any joint projects?

A.G.: They asked: “Could you speak?”, but this requires a serious technical base. This needs to be done near the place where he (Yesenin - approx. AiF) lived, acoustics need to be done - this is all very expensive, I’m not ready for such steps yet.

- Over the 15 years of your work, are there any moments that you are especially proud of?

A.G.: You know, I got great pleasure from working with Yuri Kasparyan, guitarist of the Kino group. He is generally a very private person, and when our director Igor invited him to work together, he said: “Let’s do it this way, Igor, if I don’t like the guys, I’ll just say that I’m sorry, we won’t.” And for many years we have remained good friends, but he is a very private person and generally won’t say a word to anyone. He will sit and say: “Okay, sorry, I’m going.” Well, in general there are some creative successes, but I don’t want to talk about them yet, God bless them.

You said that a very important moment for you was when you saw the first “Assa” and at the end the song “Changes” - it changed something in your soul.

A.G.: I saw a real rock hero who is close to me and whom I understand. And at that moment I thought that this was really my like-minded person. Not just some kind of fen (from the English fence - a fence, meaning “visibility”), here I saw energy. And indeed, he and I were breathing at the same pace, thinking in the same direction. I’m also a romantic, I’m also a dark romantic, and that’s what engulfed me in him.

- What about the film? The first part - what does it mean to you, and have you already watched the second?

A.G.: No, I didn't watch the second one. And the first part is a good movie. It characterizes that time, a change in society, and in thinking in general.

Touring is very hard work. Performances, concerts - you give your all to them. How do you relax? It is very difficult to imagine such courageous people relaxed. How do you release this tension?

A.G.: No way, it all accumulates like a snowball. Then you start going crazy. We used to drink a lot, but now I don’t drink at all. It's difficult, it's a very complex topic. What exactly is a tour? It’s always the same thing, you’re constantly on stage, and already in life you become a hero. Once you get into the role, it’s already very difficult to get out of it, you start going crazy, watching everyone. It always feels like I'm on stage. This is a crazy way of life. And there is no way out of this, that is, you need time to rest, sit back, lie down. A tour is, on the one hand, an interesting pastime, on the other hand, we know that if we go on a tour, then oooh!

Is there any kind of competition in your relationship with your brother (lead singer of the group “The King and the Clown” Mikhail Gorshenev - approx. AiF)?

A.G.: There is no direct competition. I wouldn't say that. Hardly.

You are developing, you are trying a lot of things, for you the attitude towards creativity, how you started and how it is now - has it changed? Is there some kind of rethinking going on, a revaluation of your own creativity for you? Please tell us a little about what positions have changed for you.

A.G.: I believe that my path is the natural path of a male person, who is in an eternal conflict between the inner and outer world. Rock music helps resolve these problems. But, unfortunately, all this happens against the background of the destruction of the physical integrity of the body - kidneys, liver, killing of neurons not in millions, but in billions. This is a delicate question, it can be developed very seriously, but I would not like to do this.

In one interview you said that “when we become friends with the computer, then we exist.” Has the songwriting process gotten easier over the years? What are the pros and cons of computerization?

A.G.: The advantage is that I can mix compositions myself. That is, let’s say I make Yesenin myself: I record everything myself and mix it at home. This has a huge advantage: you don’t have to waste your time and listen to unfinished sound engineers who don’t understand anything about this and make it look like “Lyosha, I’ll do it, you sit.” Nothing like this!

- So it was the negative experience that pushed you to take such steps?

A.G.: Yes, I don't like the way people mixed our albums. There is only one positive version of the mixing - it was the album “Shaman”, but people whom I respect immensely participated in it. And we reacted to him that it was necessary to do this.

- So, from now on, you plan to do all the recording yourself or still involve someone?

A.G.: I would like to make our numbered album “Grace” myself. So that it doesn’t happen like before: “Damn, guys, we don’t have time, we need a release in a week,” and give up. In no case! I won't do that again.

Regarding the time: you said that now there is no such wave that overwhelmed us so much that there was no time to choose a normal guitar... And now the same rock compositions appear in rotation, on some stations where this has never happened. In your opinion, is it realistic that there will be a second rock wave now? Or will what happened never happen again?

A.G.: Honestly, I don’t follow the trends of today’s music world, I’m not interested. Moreover, I think that it is very difficult to do this now, because there is no break. And any aggressive thought arises when you realize that something is wrong here. When you realize that something is changing, and immediately analyze what happened and what will happen. A thought is born only if there is a conflict in something. Now everything is very smooth, very soft, and you can only develop in technical skills, develop your skills in something, well, that is, as a profession, but in no case as brain development. I do not see the possibility of the development of rock music in our country if people treat rock music as simply a technical art. “But you know, we want to record as Finns or as Germans... and we will all make it sound!” We are a country with a different mentality, we are the children of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy. And those people, they have nothing to do with the development of brain activity, I mean those overseas, have nothing to do with it. They sing some kind of nonsense, any team, no matter who they are over the hill, they rely more on the aesthetics of the genre than on brainstorming. I am not interested. I am not for emotions, I am for stepping on the tail of the truth. I'm not interested in emotions.

You know, there is such a topic: Where does action come from? Now that you've already done something, where did it come from? It's because you thought, right? In order to do something, you thought about it and did it. Where did you come up with the idea? Because of emotions or because you weighed everything, decided, thought and did. So emotions interfere with the correctness of this matter. You may regret it later. But for you, for girls, this is the only way to survive. But for men it’s the opposite: the only way to survive is logical thinking. Because he would be an idiot if he suddenly thought “why did I do that?” And the point is not in doubt, the point is that he swung, hit, and all this happened without weighing the situation, and a man should not act like that. This is normal for a woman; moreover, this is how it should be. She doesn't have to think logically. She should feel everything, she should live by sensations, love, she should not think about what is behind her. She must run, wiping out her legs, to her beloved man, regardless of logical thinking: who is he, what is he and how. But a man should do everything differently. This is what you would pay attention to, what you would characterize with the question “what have you done in 15 years in rock music?” I noticed this and believe that I am right. That is, to be considered right means to think a lot, analyze and have some specific arguments, facts, arguments that say that I am right. That is, I can talk to you about absolutely any topic, and I will be right. Unfortunately, to you this seems like aggression on my part, but on my part it is not.

- Alexey, you sometimes say the phrase “not everything is a goose that sticks out of the water.” What do you mean by it?

A.G.: This is the basis of everything. I understand it this way: you took some bread, threw it into the water, hoping that the goose would fly in, swim, you needed it. Well, you see a goose. Why did you throw the bread if the snag is standing in the water? Why did you waste your time on something that is not there? Well, you saw something there, you thought it was a goose, you don’t know if it’s a goose or what, you start either swimming towards it or throwing bread to lure it - you’re wasting your time. You did everything so that it would float, and this is a snag in the ground. I didn’t come to this right away either. After 15 years in rock music, this washed me to my shore.

- When did you begin to understand this?

A.G.: When I began to understand that alcohol has the ability to throw you to the bottom and you can be any loser in any situation, when you have the opportunity to analyze yourself in a creative upsurge at the height of the buzz “damn, what did I do, this is cool, I’m great!” and being an absolute evil on the side of alcohol. There is the possibility of comparison and analysis. And if you can compare absolute minus and absolute plus, then it is possible that you can bring it all to some kind of absolute zero, that is, reach the truth. You can't be an average person and think you know everything. You need to be absolute evil and absolute plus, that is, be able to compare. And rock music helps with this. And in general, rock is an elevation, it is a mountain, which means that we have the opportunity to be on the mountain, and the mountain also consists of the fact that you have the opportunity to be below. There is something to compare, you know?

- When writing songs, was it such that you felt that this would be a bomb, this would be a hit?

- Your tour is now over - what will you do next?

A.G.: I need to finish the second part of Yesenin’s “Death of a Poet,” and then we’ll see. There are all sorts of thoughts, but I don’t want to reveal them yet. Our people are like the phrase from the song “Crystal World” - as soon as you open the doors, animals will immediately come running and start barking, “you promised us, but you yourself did nothing.” I won’t say anything at all, it depresses me. When people make demands, they also put me in an awkward position. Creativity has already sunk to the level of gluttony. People sit and press the enter button all the time and say “give me, give me some food.” I would cut off my hands! No, not everyone is like that. I'm not saying that's all. But this doesn’t make the problem any less. It's just a fact of today. And it irritates me terribly. Therefore, I try not to do this anymore and not feed people with my plans, I’m not interested in that. They get excited by what I have, it makes them feel great, then they get overexcited, and it makes me feel bad. Am I my own enemy?

- And your wishes, please, to everyone.

A.G.: I would like to wish people to remember Richard Bach’s phrase “Everything we see is an illusion, everything around us is reality.” That is, there is no need to be a fool. Like this.

This article is about a rock band. For the artists, see Kukryniksy.

History of the group

The group's first concert took place at the now defunct Polygon club on May 28, 1997. It is from this date that the existence of the Kukryniksy team begins. The musicians claim that the name “Kukryniksy” first stuck with the group, and then it became the name of the group. At the first concert, people from the Manchester Files record company approached the musicians. A little more than a year later, the debut album of the same name “Kukryniksy” was released on this label. The album included 12 compositions, two of which brought the group popularity - “It’s not a problem,” soon re-recorded and re-released on the group’s second album, and “Soldier’s Sadness.” Alexey Gorshenev, Alexander Leontyev, Dmitry Gusev and Maxim Voitov took part in the recording of the album.

Starting in the summer of 2005, the recording of the fifth album of the group “Shaman” began. The group began playing and performing some songs from it (“Star”, “Motherland - Photography”, “Shooting Star”, “Illusions”) back in April of the same year. The album was released in April 2006. It includes 12 compositions, including the song “Phoenix”, entirely written and performed by Dmitry Ohanyan.
