Odnoklassniki application has three stars on the first. The social network launched voting on the composition of performers

For the first time in the history of television, Channel One decided on a unique experiment: on the Odnoklassniki social network, a popular vote was held for the singers who would headline the New Year’s broadcast of the country’s main television channel. Initially, Konstantin Ernst suggested choosing the artists for the New Year's concert based on the results of a vote among OK users. The general director of Channel One said this in January of this year on the online show “OK on touch!” Anyone could make a choice.

The shortlist of performers was compiled based on the popularity rating of the performers in Odnoklassniki. The top 60 includes singers and groups whose tracks are most often listened to by OK users. Among the artists there are both regular participants in New Year’s television broadcasts, for example, Polina Gagarina, Irina Dubtsova and Ani Lorak, and newcomers - “ Mushrooms», « Time is up», Jah Khalib And Mot, IOWA, etc.

Today, 20 days after the start of voting, it became known which of the stars will perform at the First on New Year's Eve. The list was topped by Grigory Leps, who received 60,343 votes. Ani Lorak took second place with a result of 42,345 votes. Nargiz Zakirova closes the top three with 38,778 votes. Also in the top ten were Alla Pugacheva, the Leningrad group, Svetlana Loboda and others. The most talked about celebrity of recent months, Olga Buzova, is only in 33rd place. However, Philip Kirkorov, Sofia Rotaru and Stas Mikhailov were also not included in the top twenty.

It is worth noting that Nargiz Zakirova’s participation in the filming is a big question. The fact is that after the announcement of the popular vote, the singer’s producer, Maxim Fadeev, came down with harsh criticism on the management of Channel One. According to Fadeev, his music is banned on this channel by the personal decision of General Director Konstantin Ernst. The composer noted that being included in the list of his artists - Nargiz Zakirova and the Serebro group - is nothing more than an attempt to attract attention. Therefore, the famous producer said that neither he nor his artists would appear on the air of the country’s main television channel.

“I consider my artists to be in the category of people who also deserve respect and we, of course, even if we get to the top of the vote, will not participate in the filming. Because they will dress us up as clowns again and force us to sing a duet with the host of the Test Purchase. Already now, watching the first voting results, I see that Nargiz is in the top three. We respect and appreciate your attention and love for the artist. But I want to ask each of you to support us and not vote, so as not to make your favorite artist look like a clown,” writes Maxim Fadeev.

Sergei Shnurov performs “Drinking in St. Petersburg” at the New Year’s concert of Channel One. Fragment of the release dated December 31, 2016

Users of Odnoklassniki voted for the artists who will perform on the New Year's broadcast on Channel One. This is the first such experiment - previously the channel’s music directorate did not involve potential viewers in the selection of performers.

The idea of voting arose during live broadcast"Odnoklassniki", whose guest was the general director of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst. The decision was a consequence of the harsh criticism of the audience and producer Maxim Fadeev against the previous New Year's Eve.

Voting took place from October 11 to October 31. Users could support any of 60 artists - the social network’s management compiled this list “based on the musical preferences of the audience.” Odnoklassniki also gave the opportunity to suggest other performers and two weeks later added 10 artists to the main list.

On November 2, Odnoklassniki announced the results, according to which 30 artists or groups will perform at the New Year’s concert. According to internal statistics, about 50% of those who voted were under 35 years of age; the majority of votes (15%) were given by residents of Moscow.

The winner of the popular vote was Grigory Leps, who already regularly performs at New Year's concerts. The top ten included Ani Lorak, Nargiz, Polina Gagarina, Artik pres.Asti, “Leningrad”, Alekseev, “Hands Up”, Svetlana Loboda and Alla Pugacheva (listed in descending order).

An unexpected choice of Odnoklassniki users may seem to be Basta, Burito, Max Barskikh, Yegor Creed, Dan Balan, MiyaGi & Endgame and Mushrooms. In addition to them, Valeria, Natalie, Stas Mikhailov, Irina Allegrova, Elena Vaenga, Sofia Rotaru, Philip Kirkorov, Yuri Shatunov, Serebro, “Time and Glass”, Stas Piekha, IOWA and Slava had the opportunity to perform on Channel One.

The artists have not yet received invitations to participate in the New Year’s concert, TJ reported on Channel One. Music editors will contact the performers after the producers decide on the concept for the holiday broadcast. Theoretically, artists can refuse to perform - the TV channel has promised to announce such cases.

As explained on Channel One, the filming dates for the New Year's episode have not yet been determined, but the musicians will have the opportunity to combine the recording with the touring schedule. Typically, filming lasts for several weeks, but the last time the TV channel partially used the live broadcast and filmed the rest of the “New Year’s Eve” relatively late - in December.

The press service of Odnoklassniki told TJ that they are discussing new partnership projects with Channel One, including those on the New Year theme. Channel One, in turn, did not rule out the appearance of joint projects with the social network in the future.

1.3 million people from Russia, as well as countries near and far abroad, took part in the voting. The project covered a variety of audience segments, including young users: for example, 10% of the votes for their favorite artists were given by people under 18 years of age, while about 50% of the users who voted were under 35 years of age. The most active region in terms of the number of votes was Moscow: 15% of the votes were cast by residents of the capital. Also, the artists received the greatest support from Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

Voting started on October 11 in the Channel One group on the social network. Users could choose their three favorite artists from a shortlist based on the musical preferences of the OK audience, as well as suggest one more artist from those who were not included in the top 60. After two weeks of voting, the top 10 artists most frequently suggested by users were included in the main list.

Yuri Aksyuta

Chief producer of music and entertainment programs on Channel One

For us, this was an interesting and unexpected experiment, born impromptu: Odnoklassniki, live on their show, proposed holding such a vote and we accepted this proposal. This is a good opportunity to “synchronize watches”, to understand how much we feel and understand the audience’s request. We were also prepared for completely unexpected results - the list that was initially proposed for voting was not compiled by Channel One. These are the artists whose music is most often listened to by Odnoklassniki users. As it turned out, the audience and I understand each other quite well. The leader of the voting, Grigory Leps, regularly takes part in the broadcasts of Channel One and was the mentor of “The Voice” for two seasons, as was Polina Gagarina, who took fourth place. Nargiz was completely discovered by “The Voice”. In a sense, this project introduced Basta to a wide audience far from rap culture. Alla Pugacheva, around whose name spears were broken according to the results of the last New Year's project, entered the top 10 most popular stars - we take off our hats, we hope, along with those who doubted it. In a word, we coincided in many ways, and somewhere we received interesting tips and will be happy to invite artists who have not previously been involved in our broadcast to participate in our New Year’s project. Invitations to participate in the New Year's show will be received by 30 performers - the leaders of the audience vote. Thank you for your participation and attention to our project. Let's meet on the evening of December 31st on Channel One!

It was important for us to give different people the opportunity to choose their favorite artists. The short list included musicians popular with various segments of the audience: very young stars and already well-known participants in New Year's shows, rappers, rock musicians, and pop singers. Thanks to this, all active groups of the Odnoklassniki audience took part in the voting: children, teenagers, young people under 35, and older users. As a result, the top 30 turned out to meet the interests of different people: it will now be much more interesting for OK users to watch the New Year’s broadcast.

Olga Buzova was only in 33rd place

On October 30, the voting organized by Channel One and the Odnoklassniki social network ends in order to select artists who will sing on New Year’s Eve on the country’s main channel.
Anyone could vote for the proposed artists or add their favorite artist to this list. Voting closes today, but the positions of the performers have not changed for a week.
At the first place Grigory Leps— he scored 65,175 thousand votes. Ani Lorak lagging behind by almost 20 thousand votes. Further places were distributed as follows: Nargiz, Polina Gagarina, Artik&Astik, “Leningrad”, Alekseev, “Hands Up”, Svetlana Loboda. In 10th place - Alla Pugacheva with 29157 votes.

Second "twenty": Burito, Valeria, Basta, Irina Allegrova, Yuri Shatunov, Elena Vaenga, Max Barskikh, Egor Creed, MiyaGi&Endgame, Dan Balan.
Discovery of the year - Olga Buzova scored only 14370, securing only 33rd place. Buzova’s huge army of followers on Instagram (almost 11 million people) did not bring her victory.

A shortlist of 60 people for voting was compiled based on the popularity of the performers on the Odnoklassniki social network. Anyone could vote for three stars and add any name to this shortlist. The management of Channel One promised that the leaders of the popular vote will be invited to film in the New Year's show. This promise was made at the beginning of the year on the online show “OK in touch!” Voting continued from October 11.
And the topic of “people’s choice” for artists was raised after a blogger from Rostov-on-Don, Vadim Manukyan, created a petition in early January. People dubbed it “against New Year’s TV,” and on social networks they began to discuss the dominance of the same people in the lights. In an appeal to the management of Channel One, Manukyan asked to change the format of the New Year's show. Vadim Manukyan’s idea of drawing up a petition was born after he read producer Maxim Fadeev’s criticism of New Year’s television broadcasts on social networks. Vadim wrote to the producer about his idea to create a petition, and he supported him. This, as well as heated discussions on social networks, inspired the blogger to write an appeal to the management of Channel One. The petition was signed by more than 170 thousand people.
It is interesting that Maxim Fadeev stated that his artists will not participate in the “light” of Channel One. Namely Fadeev, producer Nargiz, who firmly holds third place in the voting. Maxim Fadeev commented on Nargiz’s leadership in this voting on social networks: “We respect and appreciate your attention and love for the artist. But I want to ask each of you to support us and not vote, so as not to make your favorite artist look like a clown. I have worked with Channel One for too long to believe their loud statements about “new program changes” ... "
We'll see whether Maxim Fadeev changes his point of view on New Year's Eve.
