The most interesting quests in Skyrim. Secret places of Skyrim

There are hundreds of different quests in Skyrim, ranging from small tasks to find an item to sieges of cities. In this article we will present the most interesting quests in Skyrim.

Battle of Whiterun

In an exciting and large-scale battle for the city of Whiterun, it will be decided which side will take the initiative in the civil war. Of course, which side will win depends on your personal choice.

If you join the Stormcloaks, you will have to besiege the city and fight not only the Empire, but also Jarl Whiterun's friend Balgruuf the Elder. During the battle, you will break through the enemy's defenses and, with heavy fighting, reach the Dragon's Reach. At the very end, you will have to defeat Balgruuf and his personal guard, of course, not without the help of Stormcloak soldiers. As a result, Balgruuf will be captured, and you will lose your friend forever. Of course, after this battle, a governor will rise to the throne of Whiterun, and you will continue to fight on the fields of the civil war.

But if you initially fought for the Empire, the situation will completely change. You, together with the imperial soldiers and the garrison of Whiterun, will defend the city. During the siege, you will repel the Stormcloaks and turn the tide of the war. Balgruuf will not be overthrown and you will always be welcome in Dragonsreach.

Regardless of which side you choose, Whiterun will be greatly destroyed, because before the siege, the Stormcloaks will conduct a massive attack from catapults. As a result, several houses will be destroyed and other buildings will be partially damaged.

An unforgettable night

In this quest you need to get Sam Geven drunk in one of the Whiterun taverns. After winning the challenge, you faint and wake up in the Temple of Dibella. It turns out that you got so drunk that you forgot everything that happened that night, and you did some really bad things. As you travel through Skyrim and find answers to all your questions, you eventually reach the portal in Morvunskar. After passing through the portal, you find yourself in the other world and meet the Daedric Prince Sanguine, with whom you did so many things. In gratitude for a good time, the Daedra gives you Sanguine's staff, with which you can summon Dremora. The mission turned out to be very unusual, in general, in the spirit of the movie “The Hangover.”

Dragonslayer

In the last story mission you must kill the main dragon Alduin. Also before the battle you will see all the greatest heroes of Skyrim who existed hundreds of years ago. Although this mission cannot be called long, it turned out to be exciting, because you were going to it the whole game. As a result, you will kill Alduin and rid Skyrim of this terrible dragon.

Glory to Sithis!

In one of the main missions of the Dark Brotherhood you must kill Emperor Titus Mede II on his personal ship. Before killing the emperor, he will ask you to fulfill one wish, and that is to give the traitor Amon Motierre what he deserves. In the end, you kill Titus and fulfill his last request as desired. As a reward you will receive 20 thousand coins, as well as the Dawnstar Shelter.

Summing up

Now you know what the most interesting quests are in Skyrim. Of course, there are other interesting tasks in the game, among which the following are worth noting: Lights Out, Death of the Empire, Farewell to the Dark Brotherhood, Eye of Magnus, Change of Leadership and so on.

Some tasks are not noted in the diary in any way.
Therefore, the author came up with all the names independently.

Shalidor's Labyrinth

There is also another labyrinth in the ruins of Labyrinthian - the Labyrinth of Shalidor. Fortunately, after the patches it works adequately in the Russian version.
You'll find a body with instructions on a tattered note, as well as four staves.

  • With a staff magical light strike the first sigil of Change.
  • With a staff fire arrows strike the second sigil of Destruction.

Go down, then go up the stairs opposite the Summoning Sign. Approach the word wall of power to receive a Horror scream. Enter the maze from the same side.

  • With a staff fear strike the third sigil of Illusion.
  • With a staff rejection strike the final sigil of Restoration.

Enter the "sorcerer's test" portal. Kill the Dremora and take the Scientist's Circlet from him. Effect: Spells from all schools cost less magicka.

On the table nearby is the Investigator's Key and the Midden Incident Report. In the Arcaneum (College of Winterhold, entrance through the Hall of Elements) you can find a chest of followers, which contains four rings. Bring them to your hand and put them on each finger, using the brute force method. Velek Sein will appear and offer not to kill him in exchange for an ancient pirate treasure. You can, of course, just kill him. If you are not eager to walk the entire coast around Winterhold on your own, then here are a couple of visual screenshots: And here is the treasure itself!
And not a single flawless sapphire...

Fugitive - thief

Periodically, a Fugitive will appear in random places, who will hand you a certain valuable item and demand that you keep it under threat of death. Then the owner of the item comes running and asks if you saw anything. You can give an item in exchange for exactly 1 coin.
The fugitive has never returned for his goods. And it often costs good money...

Frost Lighthouse

You can find it on this map:

When you go inside, you will find the remains of a family that previously lived here. And also several of their diaries. Some creatures have dug a passage into the basement, and you should clear out their lair. From the diary of an old sailor you will learn his last wish - for his body to burn in the fire of the lighthouse.
For completing the task, a permanent Active effect is given: Sailor's holiday(Healing spells are 10% more effective).

Where to put the ancient scroll?

After the story mission Alduin's Curse remains Ancient Scroll weighing 20. You can’t throw it out of your inventory, you can’t push it away from the merchant.
But you can return to the College of Winterhold, and in the Arcaneum offer (a special line in the dialogue, and not the usual trade) the scroll of Urag gro-Shub! The Orc will be simply happy with his new acquisition.

Where to put the "Dravin's bow"?

Dravin Llanith, a Dunmer, was left without his beloved bow. It would seem like an ordinary small quest, but the fact is that you could very well have found this bow earlier, but it’s not clear to whom to give it to! So, Dravin lives on the Happy Farm, northwest of Riften’s stable, very close. And if we're already talking about this bow, you can find it in a chest in one of the rooms in the Rat Hole, surrounded by bandits. You are sent there during the main storyline. In short, your task is to reunite the bow with its owner.

Ghost of Old Hroldan

There is a wonderful roadside tavern in the Reach called Old Hroldan. According to the legend, which the nice woman behind the counter, named Eldis, will tell you, in one of the rooms there is a bed on which Tiber Septim himself slept! Don't resist the temptation to spend a couple of hours in it; this pleasure costs only 10 coins. But upon awakening, you will hear the barmaid scream. When you run out into the hall, you will immediately understand what’s going on. The Ghost of Old Hroldan sits at one of the tables! Talk to him, the task from the Miscellaneous section will begin. The ghost wants to get the sword of a certain Hjalti. Ask Eidis about the sword, she will tell you one of the places of an old battle where this sword may be. And exactly! It's there, in the chest, guarded by the Forsworn. Take it and return to the tavern, talk to the ghost. As a reward, it will increase your one-handed weapon and blocking skills.

I found some Easter eggs myself and I want to tell you about them!

Yes, I found a few Easter eggs - 7 of them - but I think they are cool! Isn’t it nice when you find something that some people can’t find for hours?) Let’s get started!

1. M"Ike Liar.

He's in Skyrim
He's in Morrowind
He's in Oblivion
Interesting: In the game you can meet a character named M'ike the Liar, who we have met since the days of Morrowind (he is immortal...).
It can be found in a completely random place. All that remained from “Hints” and “Excuses” were dissatisfied reviews about the new combat system and a philosophical discussion about Winterhold.

At the next meeting he may tell you about the snow in Skyrim. But it’s still interesting to listen to the old Khajiit:
How do we know that there is a city of Winterhold? M"Ike didn't see it with his own eyes, and you?
Too much magic is dangerous. M"Ike somehow cast two spells at the same time and burned his sweet roll.

What does it mean to combine magic? Magic plus magic is still magic.

I love looking at snowflakes. What difference does it make where they then disappear?

Don't try to block with two swords, you'll only end up embarrassed.

Something strange happens to the Khajiit when they arrive in Skyrim.

M"Ike is a realist! Why does he need some kind of mysticism?

This is where the interesting remarks end and then you will only hear:

M´Ike is tired. Hit someone else.
M´Ike ended the conversation.

2. Headless Horseman.

In the game you can meet the Headless Horseman (Hobo met him in the vicinity of Whiterun (which caused a fierce bad death in the first one) (Hobo: Ghost. With a hammer. Jumping straight at you. This is a reference to the novel of the same name. If you follow him, you will reach to the cemetery where... you will find the treasure
Added: Headless Horseman, appearing during the mission "Missing in Action".

3. Game book.

Remember in Fallout 3 there was an experimental RPG on the computer (in the location of a comic book publishing house... Uh). There is a printed similarity here... The book is called "Kolb and the Dragon", look for it in stores in your city;) (More precisely in Jorrvaskr, in Whiterun, or in Solitude... for now so... Well, or steal/take from the Companions. ) Well, in general this is.

4. Notch's Jagged Pixel Pickaxe.

The developers themselves mention this game as one of their favorite games... It’s strange, given the fact that Bethesda and the Mojang company ended up in court (don’t you think that the gazebo runs there for any reason given the history with Interplay) at the hearing of the case about new Scrolls game, which, according to Bethesda's lawyers, could harm the previously registered The Elder Scrolls... in the end.

5. Legends of King Arthur.

There is a place called Rebel Mound. You will find a pile of rocks with a sword stuck into it on top. This is a reference to the legend of the Sword in the Stone.

You can find a pond with a skeleton hand holding a sword. This is a reference to the legend of the Lady of the Lake.

6. Game of Thrones.

Why do people play games? To have fun. Of course, the main essence of any game is to complete it, complete all tasks and become “the best of the best.” However, in addition to this, many RPGs (and not only them) contain a large number of tricks, secrets and Easter eggs. Some of them can be useful, and some are just funny. We will tell you about several of them now.

Bringing Skyrim to life

1. One of the main “tricks” of Skyrim is tu’ums, or dragon screams. With their help you can do a lot, and you don’t have to figure out everything right away. For example, the cry “Ethereality” can be used to quickly (there’s simply nowhere faster) and safely go down the mountain. If a normal fall would kill or injure a character, then shouting “Ethereality” will help prevent such an outcome.

2. A cunning Khajiit named M'aik the Liar (a telling nickname, isn't it?) is a very interesting character. Try to find him somewhere in the vastness of Skyrim and talk to him - we promise you will be very pleased!

3. Feel like the main hero of the legends about King Arthur - find a location in the game with the Lady of the Lake, guarding Excalibur, traditionally stuck in a stone. By the way, this is far from the only reference of this kind in the game!

4. What is the connection between steep slopes and giant bears? Such that the latter are found in considerable numbers on the former. What if we add here a thu'um that turns the enemy into ice? Freeze the bear by luring him onto the steepest and most winding path, and admire the mesmerizing flight of the tumbling ice projectile.

5. There are mercenaries in Skyrim. And they can be used for a variety of purposes. For example, sending someone in your place on dangerous missions. If they do it, that’s good, if they don’t do it, what do you care? The guards will not pester you because of their failure. Hire new ones. You can have fun sitting in a quiet corner somewhere and watching a mercenary try to defeat someone ten times stronger than them. Or you can simply unload on them all the garbage that is in your inventory. So what if it's not camels? Let them carry it. There must, in fact, be at least some benefit from them.

6. The dragon, although not a mercenary, can also help you in battle - or just amuse you by attacking everything that moves. Controlling him is very simple: let him see you, this will make him mindlessly chase you and try to finish you off. And you, instead of fighting back, run around the world and involve everyone you want in this grandiose battle: anyone who inadvertently hits the dragon, aiming at you, will rush at the dragon, and it doesn’t matter whether the new participant in the battle is strong or there will be a rat or a crab.

7. Not really a gaming feature, more like an online flash mob: find somewhere on the Internet a video of someone’s epic fall and make it even more epic by attaching the cry “FUS RO DAH!!!” to it. This is the entertainment of the new generation.

8. However, it is not necessary to throw everything that you have accumulated in your backpack onto someone else: you can simply throw it away. It will be especially spectacular if you want to “take out the trash” indoors, for example, at home. And after you continue to leave trash there for two or three days, the house will generally be indistinguishable from a landfill.

9. Do you think that getting rid of corpses is a tedious and boring task? Not here. A dead enemy can be thrown into a fire to bake. Or, for example, put it on a sawmill blade: let it jump, posthumously sawing logs!

10. Locals are not the most considerate people in the world, and certainly not the most logical. Therefore, if you have a well-leveled parameter such as stealth, you can easily kill them without the people around you noticing anything. This also works with theft - the owner of the things will not pay any attention to the character rummaging through his pockets. And if you have this skill at a very high level, you can pull off this trick even during the day!

11. Use vegetables to start a fight? Easily. Mercenaries sitting in a tavern will become very angry if they see a head of cabbage thrown on their table. And not at you, but at each other! And they'll start a fight. This trick also has a practical application: no one will object if you take the loser's property for yourself.

12. The fate of a magician is not easy: all the time you need to be distracted from your work, go into your inventory and look for elixirs that replenish mana or health... However, there is an opportunity to turn into a walking machine for the production of both! To do this, you take a spell in one hand that replenishes your health, and in the other hand a spell that turns your health into mana. The cycle is closed!

13. Quite a well-known function. The famous tu'um "Fus Ro Dah" throws the one in front of you quite far - so why not use this technique when your enemy has his back to a bottomless abyss or thorny bushes?

14. How about making a video like this yourself?

15. Wandering around the world of Skyrim, you may come across a book or manuscript here and there. Don’t be too quick to dismiss them - this is not only a beautifully rendered 3D cover, but also elegantly composed text inside. If you want, read it when you have nothing to do, or if you want, put it on a bookshelf in the house (yes, there is such a function too). Some specimens are very interesting - so hurry up and take a look!

16. In the west of Whiterun, a cave with the tempting name “Cave of the Broken Fang” awaits you. If you go inside, you will meet two hungry vampires. Of course, you can always put them to rest. What if, instead, we only treated them in a timely manner without harming them? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a vampire? Try to find out this in practice.

17. In addition to vampirism, you can also become infected with lycanthropy. To become a werewolf, find all the Companions in Whiterun, and, having become one of them, begin to go through the main chain of quests.

19. An abandoned house in Markarth is an extremely interesting place. We will not reveal all its secrets to you in advance, but we strongly recommend that you find it... And just stand next to it.

20. If you have the necromancy skill, you can cause a local zombie apocalypse. After all, as soon as you kill one enemy and raise him as an undead, he will already “work for you” - that is, he will attack other opponents himself. More corpses - more zombies. Of course, this technique will not work everywhere, but in some dungeon, where there is little space and not too many opponents, it may well help.

21. Manage to be killed by the most dangerous enemy in Skyrim.

22. Try to complete the game using the new rules. Everything is like in life - The hero has only one life. If he dies the walkthrough ends.

I would like to note that the article does not list all the jokes of Skyrim - look harder, and you can find many interesting things yourself.
Good game!

And instead of sweets - the adventures of a chaotic evil character from Skyrim, amateur photography

Skyrim is one of the last famous computer role-playing games, which became famous in 2011. The studio that developed the game, Bethesda Game Studios, frankly earned a considerable amount of money.

In addition, “Skyrim,” interesting facts about which you can read below, has won an audience of millions of fans. Why is this game so attractive to computer users?

General information about the game

“Skyrim”, and in its entirety “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” (Russian: The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim) is already the fifth series of this game. The difference between the latter and the previous parts is revealed in the fact that here the player can easily travel around the world, find new places, and explore new lands on their own.

The game takes place in the fictional city of Skyrim. The main plot is based on the fact that the dragon Alduin has settled in the province and brutally rules the territory. The main character has a difficult task - to defeat the dragon and free the people from his power.

The game received praise from both ordinary users and computer technology professionals, receiving a number of awards and the prestigious title of “Game of the Year.” The total number of games sold worldwide has exceeded two million copies.

In addition to the previous series of the game, where you can find out the main storyline, the developers made a surprise for their fans by publishing the book “The Oblivion Crisis”, which describes the actions of the main plot of the game.

An interesting fact: in 2012, one of the US universities in the state of Texas introduced a new course for students, which was dedicated to the ancient legends of Scandinavia and separately to the game Skyrim. The course is taught once per semester.

One of the characters in the game, the beautiful Lydia, was ranked 12th by the UGO website in the ranking of “99 Hot Fictional Women.” However, she is not of much use in the game itself, since she is quite easy to kill, and therefore players are not advised to take this heroine into battle.

Reviews

In the history of the Steam service, the game “Skyrim” became the most purchased game. In the first month of sale in America alone, it outsold other games by three times.

But there is also criticism of the game. IGN reviewer Nathan Grayson condemned the game for being far from an RPG. There are no consequences of choice, the enemy level system and the imperfect combat system were also criticized. The weak storyline and direction of the skits were criticized.
