Russian folk theme. Party in Russian folk style

Ethnic clothing style includes a rich list of national trends. In the multi-colored list, the Russian style stands out with its bright attractiveness and original execution. In clothing of the current trend, a characteristic feature is considered to be an organic combination of folk motifs with the latest trends in world fashion. Almost all modern couturiers, when creating their next collections, do not ignore the expressive and colorful style.

Historical basis of the current trend

Russian fashion began its victorious march around the world almost a hundred years ago. The impetus for this was the revolutionary events of 1917. As a result of great transformations, a mass of people were forced to leave their historical homeland and go into distant, unknown emigration. In addition to family jewelry, wealthy people also took out wardrobes filled with rich outfits in the traditional Russian style.

The variety of bright colors, unusual styles of dresses, amazing headdresses and other spectacular elements of folk costume attracted the attention of Europeans and aroused genuine admiration and delight. Russian style smoothly migrated to all areas of life. The use of original color in hotels, restaurants, and on stage was considered good form.

Straight clothes decorated with folklore patterns entered European fashion. Even the most famous people chose men's blouses, colorful shawls, and tall kokoshniks. Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo used precious stones, beads and embroidery in the spirit of Russian motifs in their outfits.

The final approval of the style in the 20s of the last century occurred thanks to the emergence of fashion houses among Russian designers in Europe. An exclusively national spirit was in the air here, supported by noble immigrants from Russia.

Russian style in women's clothing - beauty and practicality

The harsh climate required people to wear a lot of different things.

  • An undershirt is a mandatory element of a suit for women and men. Linen products were sewn freely, not restricting movement. The shirt was supposed to be tied with a belt.

  • Poneva is a gathered underskirt that fits tightly around the waist. Created additional volume and insulation.
  • A sundress or dress is the main outerwear for women. The loose cut line, expanding from the chest down, hid the outlines of the silhouette. Clothes were made from cotton, linen or wool.

On top they put on soul warmers, sweaters, and shawls over their shoulders. Multilayer clothing provided comfort and kept the body well warm.

In rainy weather, they chose epancha - a sleeveless cloth cloak. Fur coats worn by representatives of all segments of the population reliably protected from frost. Ordinary people sewed clothes from sheepskin or hare. The nobility wore sable, silver fox, and marten. The fur coats were long and heavy with a wide round collar. They were worn with the fur inside, covered with thick cloth, velvet or brocade on top.

Hands were covered from the cold with knitted or fur mittens. At home, women wore kokoshniks on their heads. When going outside, they tied scarves on top or put on round fur hats.

Modern clothes with elements of Russian style (Photo)

Typical symbols of the national trend are nesting dolls, Khokhloma painting, posad woolen shawls, and Orenburg down scarves. They provide the basis for the embodiment of design ideas in modern clothing.

Stylistic outfits include many traditional elements of Russian style:

  • Styles. The cut of Russian clothing is aimed at creating maximum convenience and comfort. It is characterized by straight or bell-shaped skirts, long sundresses with wide straps, and dresses with a high waistline. All fabrics are only of natural origin: cotton, linen, silk, wool.
  • Costume details. Collars are predominantly round and turn-down. The sleeves are narrow, straight or short, puffy in the form of lanterns. Basques, lace-up belts, and ribbons in the form of fasteners are often used.

  • Colors. The combination of white with red and all its shades looks most impressive. Green, black, yellow, and golden colors are also relevant.
  • Drawings. Folklore themes provide unlimited scope for design imagination. Clothes in the Russian national style, painted with floral patterns, ancient Slavic ornaments, fabulous animals and birds, invariably attract the attention of others and cause delight. Beautiful images embroidered with colored threads, beads, small stones, woven with thin ribbons, and golden laces look especially impressive.

  • Lace, braid, hemstitch. Handmade finishes are preferred. An intricate and complex pattern significantly distinguishes the Russian style from other ethnic trends, making it unique and original.

  • Patchwork clothing(patchwork) – a typical example of Russian style. Thrifty Russian housewives never threw away pieces of fabric left after cutting. They were used to create pillowcases, colorful blankets, and rugs. Today, based on Pavloposad scarves, you can create unique models of things. The technical complexity of the execution is justified by the stunning result.

  • Accessories. Excellent style decorations include floral wreaths, colorful ribbons, beads, and bracelets made of leather and wood. Stylized earrings and a kokoshnik embroidered with beads and stones give a great effect to the look. You can’t do without using colorful shawls, scarves, and capes.

How to create a fashionable image?

Modern clothing in Russian folk style is a layering of motifs from traditional patterns and ornaments onto current items of clothing.

When creating a new look, it is not at all necessary to use only stylistic elements. It is enough to diversify your everyday look with one or two characteristic items. For example, decorate a long summer sundress with a patterned braid and wear shoes with a floral print. You can also complement the ensemble with several strands of pearl beads and choose a handbag to match the main color of the dress.

When building your next fashionable look, do not forget that the main principle of Russian style is femininity and chastity. Therefore, it is better to avoid trousers, open and tight-fitting clothes. The beauty of a woman should be presented with dignity and modesty.

And finally

Designer clothes in the Russian style are relevant all over the world to this day. Under the influence of national characteristics, many new clothing models are created, decorated with original details, patterns and ornaments. Many famous couturiers of our time never tire of drawing their inspiration from folk traditions gifted by the ageless Russian style.

The table is bursting with delicious treats, catchy music and endless Slavic fun will make your head spin. Fun, noisy and so heartfelt! Nice fellows and beautiful maidens, a party in Russian folk style is in no way inferior to any newfangled theme. And what bright and colorful photos will remain as a memory of a birthday, bachelorette party or just a party in a friendly company!

Decor

There are no particular difficulties, but there are a lot of details. Ask your friends to sort out the mezzanine and dacha supplies - probably something suitable for decoration in the Russian folk style is stored there.

If not, arm yourself with cardboard and paints, print and glue the images. Buy wallpaper, paper, napkins and fabrics with national patterns. Suitable for decoration:

  • wildflowers, sunflowers, poppies, straw, bouquets of ears of corn;
  • bunches of bagels, onions and garlic, rowan beads, aromatic herbs in bouquets or bags;
  • wicker, clay and wooden dishes, barrels and tubs, pots and, of course, a painted samovar;
  • to hide inappropriate wallpaper, Pavlovo Posad shawls and Zhostovo trays are ideal;
  • bast shoes can be hung on the walls or used together with felt boots as vases for compositions;

  • nesting dolls, wood carvings (toys, dishes, paintings), real Khokhloma and Gzhel will not only add Russian folk flavor to the room. But they will certainly attract the attention of party guests, so you can arrange a mini-exhibition;
  • cardboard “claws”, eyes from an old soft toy, several cheap rugs with long pile. Cut, sew from the inside out - the bear skins are ready;
  • weave a decorative fence from twigs. Miniature, as part of the compositions;
  • Ask your friends for “grandmother’s” striped rugs. They will fit perfectly, and will also distract attention from modern parquet;
  • balalaikas, harp, spoons, bells, button accordion, etc. Of course, it’s difficult to find real tools, but making them out of cardboard and painting them is easy. They are useful for photos and artistic scenarios – they will add ambiance.

The stove is a chic photo zone for a themed party in Russian folk style! For example, cardboard, painted or photo wallpaper. But we recommend a partially functional option:

  • A rectangular table, the most common one. Cover the perimeter to the floor with thick cardboard or plywood on all sides;
  • Cut out a semicircle-firebox from the “facade”, near the floor. Adjust the paper “fire”, put in a few logs, put on the cast iron;
  • Make a pipe out of the box and tape it to the table top;
  • Cover everything with white wallpaper to look like stone or plaster;
  • Decorate the “oven” with floral ornaments, for example, wallpaper edging.

On such a stove you can pose for a photo (lying straight or sitting, like Emelya!) or put treats on it. It will turn out very atmospheric!

Invitation

Of course, in the Russian folk style there is an imitation of the ancient Slavic font and the address prince-princess or boyar-boyaryna, synonyms party - festivities, competitions - fun, dancing - dancing to ditties.

Or you can do this:

We sincerely ask you to visit us,
Come, honest people!
We'll sing and dance until the night
Al see how it goes in the morning! (time, place and dress code on the back).

There are a lot of options for designing invitations. For example, you can print the base for a postcard under Gzhel, Khokhloma or another type of Russian folk painting. Make a cardboard balalaika, stove, bast shoe. Or button accordion: two rectangles with an accordion of paper inside. Just write the invitation text first, and then fold the sheet.

A funny matryoshka postcard consisting of several pages(usually opens like a book). The text is divided into parts: to read it, you need to scroll through the “matryoshka” to the end.

Suits

Perhaps this is the most time-consuming part if you want not just stylization, but Russian folk “historicism” in clothing. You will have to prepare for the party ahead of time, sew something, and look for something in the shops. You can rent costumes - contact an agency or a local cultural center.

Don't forget to choose shoes - closed shoes, short boots. Let the guys wear simple shoes. Bast shoes are difficult to get, and not everyone is comfortable walking in them. Kirzachi boots will also be suitable, but your feet will be hot in them, especially if the party is held indoors (you can take a few photos and change your shoes).

We offer the least labor-intensive options:

  • Modern clothing with patterns or ornaments in Russian folk style. Dresses, tunics, sundresses and even overalls with a recognizable pattern;
  • Long, plain sundresses with a loose fit. Color to choose from – blue, red, green, yellow;
  • The same sundress, but with wide straps, ethnic ornament (you can sew a piping on top of purchased clothes). Underneath is a tunic with wide sleeves gathered at the wrists by an elastic band.

The Russian folk style is emphasized by large earrings and beads, a long braid(your own or artificial), headband ribbon. It’s easy to make kokoshniks from base cardboard and bright fabric (decorate with embroidery, ornaments, beads).

Clothes for guys - light summer or regular dark/striped trousers, a casual shirt, a belt or sash, a cap. Linen or cotton men's tunics are suitable. At the end of the article we will tell you how to easily sew a real kosovorotka for a Russian folk party.

We sew a men's shirt-shirt

  • linen or cotton, thick enough;
  • buttons or lace for the collar;
  • braid with ethnic pattern. If you are sewing several shirts for all men, then buy different braid, maybe in the color of the dresses of their companions. Belt – a strip of fabric (the same one that goes on the shirt) or braid.

The shirt is loose, but you need to know the approximate size. The main thing is not to make a mistake with the length of the sleeves. You can sew without a machine, using a reverse stitch (if you don’t have a machine).

Elementary pattern:

Detail 1– rectangle, “body”. The length of the shirt multiplied by two. Width according to dimensions (waist in the “pot-bellied” place and allowance so that the shirt sits loosely). Fold the piece in half, mark the neckline, cut it out.

Details 2– sleeves, rectangles. Desired sleeve width multiplied by two.

Line 3- a slit so you can put the shirt over your head. It must be on the side (that’s why the shirt is called a blouse).

  • Sew the sleeves to part 1;
  • Fold the shirt along the line, as in the picture;
  • Sew the “body” on the sides, then the sleeves;
  • Decorate all sections (bottom, cuffs, neckline) with colored braid;
  • Along the cut on the neckline (line 3), add lacing or sew buttons. But first, decorate all sections (neck, sleeves and bottom) with colored braid. All! Your men will probably be glad that you saved them the trouble of looking for a costume for a Russian folk party!

Menu

The treats are hearty, plentiful and for every taste! The table should literally be bursting with a variety of fish, meat and vegetable dishes on the menu - a traditional feast.

Several options for maintaining style (original Russian folk treats):

  • game, porridge with mushrooms or meat, baked pig, okroshka, casserole, goose with apples, roast;
  • jellied or baked fish, caviar;
  • a variety of pickles and marinades (cabbage with cranberries, vegetables and mushrooms, pickled apples);
  • berries, jam and jam, pancakes and bagels, cheesecakes and pies, rolls and kulebyaki.

If you are celebrating a birthday, order a cake in Russian folk style - a wonderful surprise for the party guests and the birthday boy!

A couple of themed signature dishes will be enough. Or you can even arrange a buffet table by arranging porridge, game and roast in miniature baskets/tartlets. It will turn out interesting and very tasty! And there will be strength left for “singing and dancing.”

Don’t forget about the table decoration - a samovar, painted or simple rustic dishes, national patterns on the tablecloth and napkins. But the main decoration should be the dishes themselves.

Think about drinks too to stay on topic. Certainly, mead(easy to make yourself, but it will take about 5 days for fermentation), vodka (change the labels or pour into decanters) and kvass(in pot-bellied clay jugs). If you can find an oak barrel and a traditional ladle, use it to pour the beer, at least at the beginning, for atmosphere. Non-alcoholic products include herbal teas, compotes and juices.

Entertainment

Noisy partying until you drop - that’s the whole scenario for a party in the Russian folk style, and there’s no need to invent any plots. Just alternate between active competitions and quizzes to give guests a chance to catch their breath. We offer several entertainments.

Turnip(you just need something to grab onto).

This is a test of strength, traditionally for men. But, as they say, there are women in Russian villages. So optional.

“Turnip” grabs a pole (or something else that definitely can’t be moved). One person grabs him around the waist and pulls “a turnip from the garden.” Everyone counts to five. Did you survive? Another one clings to the waist of the first one. The winner is the one who can withstand the longest line of “pullers” for five seconds.

Pan(on the floor or ground you need to mark a circle half a meter in diameter).

Two teams (for example, peasants and boyars). Give guests a minute to remember who is from which team or tie ribbons of two colors on their sleeves. Everyone stands around the “frying pan” so that the participants are distributed through one, friend, foe, friend.

Everyone dances in a circle. The music stops. You need to quickly push a player from the other team into the frying pan. The first one to step in is eliminated. The team that has the numerical superiority of those remaining in the round dance wins.

Include Russian folk dances in the party script: Kamarinskaya, Trepak, Cossack, Kalinka, etc., there are more than two dozen of them, just the most popular ones! Don't forget to download the appropriate music and watch the basic movements to show them to your guests.

Pile(nail or dart, metal ring or stylization)

This is a competition for accuracy, competition in teams or one at a time. Place a ring the diameter of a large apple on the foam (if you're indoors) or on the ground. Three attempts, the goal is to throw the “spear” so that it sticks into the area indicated by the ring. First they throw from two steps, then from three, etc., until a winner is identified.

Swan, crayfish and pike(ropes or strong ropes)

According to the script, the party guests are divided into threes, and then - whatever you want. You can identify the winners in each top three. Or continue the game until the end until there is only one winner left.

Make “bundles” of three ropes. The loose ends need to be tied around the waist of each of the three participants. Now all three are “pulling the cart” in their direction. The winner is the one who “pulls” two, i.e. dragged them along with him at least a little.

Three quizzes

  • Guess a fairy tale or fairy-tale character from the description:
    • an elderly cannibal with a prosthesis (Baba Yaga);
    • a person of blue blood, together with an accomplice, the speaking ancestor of man's best friend, violates Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the fairy tale Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf);
    • the hero of many fairy-tale “quests”. He wins thanks to non-standard solutions, although by nature he is slightly deprived of intelligence (Ivan the Fool).
  • Guess the Russian folk instrument from the photo(musical, craft) and kitchen, household utensils. Print it out, name on the back. If party guests find it difficult to answer, let them try to guess the purpose of the tool/household item;
  • Guess the meaning of an Old Russian word. Use an online dictionary for selection. Examples: abuse - war, conversation - shop, admiration - kidnapping or theft. Choose with meaning, unexpected meanings (in general, not just something mind-blowing).

Don't forget about gifts/rewards for all party guests. These can be any little things in the Russian folk style - amulets (herbal jars, horseshoes, brownies), painted dishes (cups, spoons), boxes or beads, etc.

This research work in mathematics "Russian folk topics in the 5th grade mathematics course" I will try to develop an interest in mathematics by studying numbers found in Russian folk art. It is necessary to study the literature, conduct a survey, create a booklet for teachers and students.

1. Historical information.
2. Proverbs containing mathematical concepts and numbers.
3. Problems using historical concepts.
4. Conducting a survey.
Conclusion

Introduction

“The sharpest, most striking difference between Western education and ours is that a Western person, not only educated, but even semi-educated, is always, most and most closely acquainted with his Fatherland: with his native language, literature, history, geography, statistics, political relations, financial situation, etc., and the Russian person is least familiar with what is closest to him: his Motherland and everything that relates to it.”

K.D. Ushinsky 1867

Russian folklore contains the age-old wisdom of the Russian people, and numerical data gives it a more vivid, real meaning. If we do not study the origins of the culture of our people, we will not know their history.

While reading works of oral folk art, we noticed that in fairy tales, proverbs, riddles, etc., the presence of numbers is observed very often.

"What is folklore?", "What numbers are present in Russian folk art?".

Goal of the work: select historical material on some topics studied in the 5th grade mathematics course, arrange it in the form of a booklet, and identify how students feel about the use of Russian folk themes when studying mathematics.

Tasks:

  1. Select and study literature on the research topic.
  2. Create a questionnaire and conduct a survey.
  3. Create a thematic booklet for teachers and students of 5th grade.

1. Historical information

“From the history of the number 7”

In ancient times, when people were just learning to count, the number 7 remained very large for a long time. These ideas about the size of the number 7 have been preserved in Russian proverbs and sayings and have survived to this day:

"Seven times measure cut once".

“Seven do not wait for one.”

“Seven troubles - one answer.”

“One with a bipod, seven with a spoon.”

“Onion of the seven ailments” and others.

Ancient people considered the number 7 mysterious and enigmatic. About the incomprehensible and now we are saying what kind of book this is “ seven seals”, and folk tales tell about “ seven-league boots", O " seven-flowered" etc.

And these days, people revere the number 7. A happy person feels “ on the seventh sky" It is no coincidence that there are 7 days in a week, 7 colors in a rainbow, and 7 notes in music.

2. Proverbs containing mathematical concepts, numbers

  • small children's folklore.
  • folk rituals and traditions, history of the people.
  • phraseology and vocabulary of the Russian language.
  • He doesn't have half a brain in his head.
  • A riddle, a solution, and seven miles of truth.
  • It’s no good to read if you only grab the tops.
  • A pound is inferior to a pound.
  • A mile closer, a nickel cheaper.

Conditions of the task in the form of a folklore fairy tale genre:

Once a merchant went to the market to buy gifts for his daughters. I bought the eldest a lollipop for a kopeck, the middle one a honey gingerbread for a five-kopeck piece, and my youngest beloved daughter overseas chocolate for a fifty-kopeck piece.

3. Problems using historical concepts

Subject " Natural numbers and scales
One day, a heron invited a crane and a frog to his birthday party. To reach a heron, a crane needs to walk 1 mile, and a frog needs to walk 10 arshins. Express the distance traveled by the frog and the crane in centimeters. Determine whose path was longer?

Subject " Area units

Task
Spring came. The man decided to plant wheat. He did not have his own land. A man went to ask the landowner for permission to sow 1 dessiatine of his land. The landowner agreed, but said:
-I will give you land, but you will give half of the harvest to me.

The man grieved, but accepted the landowner’s conditions. Planted wheat. Autumn has come, it's time to harvest. A man collected 10 poods of wheat from a plot. He separated half and gave it to the landowner. And I sold half of the rest at the market. How many tons of wheat did the man give to the landowner, and how many did he sell?

Subject " Volumes and units of volume

Task
A man went to fetch water with a twelve-liter bucket and only picked up 1 glass of water. How much more water can you put in the bucket?

Challenge of ingenuity
A man was selling potatoes. For 1 kg he took an altyn, for 2 kg - a nickel. How much money did he charge for 3 kg, 4 kg? (kopeck (10 kopecks), five-altyn (15 kopecks)).

Clothing in folk style or, as it is also mistakenly called, folk style.

Today there are such concepts as “folklore style”, folk style, ethno-folk, etc. But we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the word “folklore” is more related to the oral, verbal and musical creativity of the people. Folklore literally means “folk wisdom”, and the concept of “folk” style in clothing developed as an erroneous understanding of Russian folk costume, the basis of which was the stage costume of folk ensembles, and not the traditional Russian folk costume!

The very concept of “folklore” has an indirect relationship to clothing.

We need to understand this difference well. Because the folk style is not what modern Russian costume essentially is, but how they want to see us from the outside in the modern world. Many researchers, ethnographers or reenactors contemptuously refer to folk costumes as “cranberry”. Especially cynical and bilious people call folk costumes or costumes of folk ensembles “Martian” costumes. But we do not consider the style of folk ensembles to be something unacceptable or offensive. Because modern Russian folklore costume was created for the stage, and when it is created without a hint of vulgarity or does not expose the body, it can be a bright and beautiful example of stage costume.

Often it is connoisseurs of the folk style who use patterns of household utensils or dishes such as “Gzhel” and “Khokhloma” to create prints on fabrics for sewing clothes. Of course, it looks kitsch and is inappropriate when creating a decent and complete image of the Russian style, but it is suitable for the folk style. Because, unfortunately, many people only know the “Khokhloma” and “Gzhel” patterns, and do not even suspect that this is not embroidery, but painting.

Dishes painted in the Gzhel style

Folk style implies only a shallow study of Russian costume and traditions, and the desire to shock or attract the public first of all. Folk style implies the presence of a viewer.

Folk style and folk style. Features and differences.

Clothing in folk style always transcends time and circumstances.

Folk style combines elements of national costumes of different nations. There is a folk style in India, China, Japan, Mexico... Russia... But you cannot combine elements of costumes from different cultures in one outfit: you cannot dress up in a sari, kokoshnik and cowboy boots within the framework of the folk style, it will be ridiculous, unless, of course, you are a hippie .
The folk style differs from the Russian style by its nationality and brightness. The designer of Russian costume and Russian style today is Valentina Averyanova. Russian style includes both folk costume and boyar costume, and folk costume represents the clothing of the common Russian people. An excellent example of Russian folk style is Valentino spring 2015:

We will talk not only about how to wear folk-style clothes correctly, but also what the modern concept means: clothes in folk style.
It is customary to sew folk-style outfits from natural fabrics in natural colors. Embroidery, all kinds of patterned fabrics, lace, and braid will come in very handy.

Folk style requires following traditions; folk style is a modern interpretation and reflection on the theme of folk costume.

In folk style, you can easily make an applique on clothes or a pattern from patches, in a patchwork style. Yes, this is typical for patchwork quilts, but we remind you that the folk style implies such confusion and mixing of different techniques, patterns and attributes. Geometric patterns fit perfectly within the folk style with the structure of the fabric. Beads, sequins, beads or floral motifs, especially in folk style - patterns with drawings of roses from Zhostovo trays, will also be appropriate.

If you want to emphasize your waist, a wide laced or leather belt will do. Folklore style will allow you to collect all the elements of Russian outfits in one look: sundresses, wide skirts, short fur coats. And in addition to them - large Pavlopasad shawls with tassels, accessories with Russian painting and wooden decorations.

The style of the Russian national costume is emphasized by a straight or trapezoidal silhouette. It will hide figure imperfections and will not hinder movement. Unfortunately, the folk style does not imply following the traditional cut of the Russian costume. To match the folk style, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the folk image, but it is not necessary to follow the cut. But if this is difficult for you, then you can simply complement a modern suit with details of a Russian costume, the main thing is their natural combination. All kinds of shoes are suitable: in summer - ballet flats or shoes, in winter - boots or boots. In everyday life, folk style is ideal for relaxation.

Each country has its own folklore traditions, but designers boldly use folk images to create original costumes. This is also a chance to preserve folk culture and the memory of our ancestors. A variety of natural jewelry, wooden beads, bracelets, and a variety of earrings are suitable for clothes of this style. Original outfits will help you attract attention, stand out from the crowd and emphasize your origin.
You can simply do many things yourself and save a little money. The main rule of folk style is not to mix clothes of different nationalities. There are holidays at which folk style of clothing is simply a must, but a wedding with a dress code is better to do it in the Russian style and take into account the origin of the bride and groom; if the ancestors are from a peasant environment, then you can have a bright and cheerful wedding with clothes in a folklore/folk style , if the ancestors were noble, then the Russian style and boyar costumes for the bride and groom are suitable.

There is absolutely no need to mix different directions in one image, even such a similar concept as ethno-style. Do not combine a boyar suit with kitsch, or a Russian headdress with a miniskirt - it looks vulgar, vulgar and inappropriate.

You should wear any clothes with pleasure, because a sincere smile and good mood will attract no less attention than a bright suit and a defiant look. Comfortable clothes will give you confidence in your own irresistibility, and a folk costume will emphasize your love for your native country.
