Yanis Badurov, better known under the pseudonym Yanix (Yanix), is a Russian rap artist, one of the creators of “new rap” in Russia.

Yanix (Yanix) before it became famous

Who are Yanix's parents?

Yanis Badurov, performing under the stage name Yanix, was born in the Moscow region, the city of Krasnogorsk, on November 16, 1993. The father and mother of the future rapper worked in medicine and raised three sons. Wikipedia gives a detailed description of the rapper’s name, his height, what his nationality is and at what age he began his creative career, and Yanis also has accounts on Instagram and Twitter.

Like most boys in Russia, Yanis was fond of sports and took part in basketball competitions as part of the school team. At an older age, he was able to make it to the city team. In parallel with sports, the future rapper was interested in music.

As Yanix admitted in his interviews, it all started with the work of such American rock bands as The Offspring, Blink-182, Green Day. Feeling the need for self-expression, the young man plays for some time as part of a youth rock team, trying to imitate his favorite performers. But Janis never became a rocker. After all, he got acquainted with the world of rap and hip-hop culture.

Despite the fact that sports and music took up a lot of time, the boy tried not to be distracted from his studies, and graduated from school with good results. Thanks to this, he easily manages to pass the entrance exams to MESI. In 2015, he successfully graduates from higher education and becomes a certified specialist. But he did not work in his profession, since creativity completely captured his thoughts and desires.

Yanix rapper

The future rapper took his first steps in his creative life during his school years. He wrote a lot of poems and tried to read them in the manner of rap artists. In 2011, Janis recorded his debut mixtape, entitled “Finish Him”. The album went unnoticed, but Yanix realized how it needed to improve further.

After some time, Yanis was invited to work in the musical group “T. A.". But the cooperation turned out to be short-lived, and already at the end of 2012 the young man went on an independent voyage. In 2013, Yanix recorded his first studio album, “Ghetto Street Show.” Such famous rappers as Bonus B and others also worked on it. A week later, Janis presented to the public the first video clip for the song “Boy”.

Yanix Versus battle

The studio album brought the young rapper his first popularity. Yanix drew attention, and soon he was invited to . His rival in the verbal competition was the rap artist Galat. Due to lack of experience, Janis lost the duel, but gained invaluable experience.

In 2014, the young musician finished working on recording his second studio album, “Ghetto Street Show 2.” Together with Yanis, Decl, Hiro and a number of other famous rappers also worked on it. A little later, a video clip for the song “Hypeam” was released. The second record also received recognition, and Yanix's popularity continued to grow. It is worth noting that star fever did not affect the performer’s performance, and in the same 2014 he released his third studio album, called “Block Star”.

Two years later, fans of Janis’s work learned about the release of his fourth studio album, “Gianni”. A number of tracks in the collection were recorded together with the rapper.

Yanix - Gianni

Despite his busy concert schedule, the young man continues to devote a lot of time to working in the studio, recording new tracks and video clips. In 2016, together with Vladi, Slim, Yanis Badurov released a mixtape called “Ghetto Street Show 2.5.” At the same time, the musician participates in the Big Russian Boss show and is completing work on a video clip for the song “When the Lights Go Out,” together with the rapper.

Yanix OBLADAET - When the lights go out

At the end of 2016, Yanix decides to re-release the debut album “Ghetto Street Show”, adding two pieces of music to it.

Yanix and his girlfriend

In his own songs, the rapper indicates that he takes serious relationships lightly. According to Janis, he pays attention to appearance if he is sure that he is interested in a girl for just a few days. And only if he needs a serious relationship does he become interested in the inner world of his chosen one.

According to unconfirmed rumors, rapper Yanix is dating Marina Cherkasova, who was previously a participant in the TV show “Dom-2”. Social networks are full of photos of young people together. But in his last interview, Janis did not confirm the rumors, leaving them without any comments. Be that as it may, fans of the singer’s work express extreme dissatisfaction with the friendly relations between Marina and Yanix.

Yanix now

In 2017, the young rapper continues to delight his fans with creative achievements. An album called “Bla Bla Land” is released, consisting of seven tracks, which immediately gains considerable popularity among fans of rap music. According to the musician, the theme he chose for the lyrics was to blame. The album touches on everything that worries a modern person, namely love, entertainment, fashionable clothes, alcohol, friendships and mercantile interests.

Yanix - Until Trap Do Us Part

In the first third of February 2018, the studio album “Until Trap Do Us Tear,” consisting of ten tracks, was released. Among the invited performers were rappers such as Jacques-Anthony and.

At the moment Yanix is working on recording the next album. As the young man admits, he experiments with sound and arrangement. So fans of the rapper’s work need to prepare for something new.

Yanix is a rap artist, about whom, as well as about many other rappers, it can be said that the musician achieved everything on his own. Talent, determination and faith in a dream are, perhaps, the main points that allowed the singer not only to get on stage, but also to earn the love of many fans.

Childhood and youth

Yanis Badurov - this is the passport name of rapper Yanix - was born in Krasnogorsk, in the Moscow region, on November 16, 1993. The parents of the future star worked in medicine. In addition to Yanis, two more sons grew up in the Badurov family.

The rapper's childhood hobbies are similar to the interests of thousands of other boys: Yanis loved sports and even participated in basketball tournaments, defending the honor of his hometown. In parallel with his sports hobbies, Janis also developed a love for music.

By the musician’s own admission, his acquaintance with the world of music began with The Offspring, Blink-182, Green Day and other rock and punk bands. For some time, Janis even played in a youth music group, imitating his idols. However, the young man never became a rock singer: having accidentally become acquainted with rap, Janis realized that this style touched him much more than good old rock.

Janis did well in school subjects and graduated from the school with a silver medal. Despite the fact that the world of music had already seriously fascinated young Badurov, the young man chose a non-creative profession and entered MESI at the department of Project Management and Innovation Management. In 2015, Janis successfully graduated from the university, becoming a certified professional. However, he did not work in his specialty: the dream of the stage seriously took hold of Badurov.

Music

Yanix’s creative biography began back in school: the young man wrote poems and tried to recite them in the manner of popular rappers. And in 2011, Janis even recorded his first mixtape called “Finish Him.” Unfortunately, this collection of compositions did not bring popularity to the performer, but it allowed the musician to hone his own style and correct a number of shortcomings.

Soon Yanis was invited to join the rap group “T. A.”, however, this cooperation did not last long, and Yanix again went solo. In 2013, the performer released his coveted first album, which was called “Ghetto Streets Show.” In recording the album, the aspiring rapper was helped by experienced performers Yung Trappa, Bonus B and others, and a few days later Yanix presented the debut video for the song “Boy”.

The record gave Yanis his first serious popularity and his first fans. The young rapper was noticed. In the same year, the artist was invited to participate in perhaps the main rap event in the country - the so-called Versus Battle. Yanis' rival was rapper Galat. Unfortunately, Yanix lost this battle, but gained important experience.

In 2014, Yanix presented its second album to fans - “Ghetto Street Show 2”, recorded with the participation of ATL, Hiro and other famous rappers. Almost immediately a video is released for the most popular song from this record - “Hypeem”.

The second record turned out to be no less successful than the first. The regiment of the performer's fans constantly arrived. However, fame and popularity did not weaken Yanis: the young man continued to work hard in the studio, and in the same year managed to release another album, called “Block Star”.

Two years later, in 2016, Janis’s next album, “Gianni,” was released. The songs from this record “Don’t tell them”, “Night Life” (a duet with a Belarusian performer) and “Chain” were loved most by fans of rap music. It was for these compositions that some time later Yanix made videos that received a huge number of views on all social networks.

Despite constant concerts and performances, Janis found time to record new compositions, filming, and interviews. So, in the same year, the rapper presented the mixtape “Ghetto Street Show 2.5” (other colleagues of Yanis in the rap scene also took part in the recording of the mini-record).

In addition, fans were pleased with the participation of their favorite performer in the popular show Big Russian Boss (). Yanix also presented a new video shot for the song “When the Lights Go Out” (a collaboration with Nazar Votyakov, known under the pseudonym Obladaet).

Also in 2016, Yanix re-released the debut mixtape “Ghetto Street Show”, adding two compositions to the album - “Swish” and “18+”.

Personal life

In his own songs, Yanix often describes free love and messy, non-committal romances. By his own admission, the rapper divides communication with girls into two types: if only fleeting entertainment is intended, then Yanix prefers to pay attention exclusively to the appearance of the chosen one. If the singer is planning something serious, then, in addition to beauty, the girl’s personality, her soul and sincerity also become important.

Recently, Yanis was credited with an affair with a beautiful model and former participant in the show “Dom-2”, known under the pseudonym Mexico. "Instagram" and other social networks are filled with joint photographs of the rapper and his supposedly chosen one. However, Yanix has not yet confirmed the information about the relationship with Marina. Fans, judging by the emotional comments on the Internet, are seriously dissatisfied with the alleged choice of their idol.

Yanix now

2017 pleased Janis’ fans with another album. The album “Bla Bla Land” collected songs about love and friendship under one cover. The album features seven new tracks, each of which has already gained popularity.

Yanix believes that the reason for such fame is the theme of his own compositions: the musician talks about what worries every modern young man - love and parties, fashionable clothes and alcohol, friendship and money. The performer admits that he intends to experiment with the beats, sound and arrangement of the compositions. Therefore, surprises can be expected from the rapper’s next album, on which, according to rumors, work has already begun.

Full name Yanis Badurov. Born on November 16, 1993 in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region. Father and mother connected their lives with medicine. Yanix has two siblings who also seem to work as doctors. In 2011, he graduated from gymnasium No. 6 and applied for admission to the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics. Detailed biography

Yanis began composing rap relatively recently, in 2010. A year later, we are waiting for the first release of “Finish Him” (from the English “Finish him”), which did not bring much popularity to the rapper.

After the release of his first release, Yanix stopped rapping for some time. This may be due to the low popularity of his first tracks.

The creative crisis, if you can call it that, is ending and rapper Yanix is returning to rap culture again. He records joint tracks with rapper T.A.Loc. In one of his interviews, Yanix talks about how he met rapper Chase through the Internet, and in 2013 we can already see collaborations between the two rappers.

In the same 2013, Yanix’s second album, “Ghetto Streets Show,” was released. It is undoubtedly worth saying that it has become more popular than the first album “Finish Him”. Thanks to new works, Yanix was for some time in the ranking of the top best trap releases of the year.

Yanix considers himself a trap artist. According to him, he adheres to the so-called “southern style”. He is interested in working in all directions, but at the moment he is focusing on trap.

Among his interests, besides music, one can also name sports, which he began to get involved in as a teenager.

It is also worth saying that on November 23, 2013, Yanix took part in the Versus Battle, where it lost to Galata (0:3). I suggest you watch this battle:

He parks his snow-white Jaguar so as not to let it out of sight during the shooting, gets out of the car in snow-white Nike x Off-White and with the same snow-white smile. At first it seems like he's the type to look down on, just another young rapper who thinks too highly of himself. But that's not true. Yanix (24) does not have rich parents who “bought” his career, so he knows what it means to achieve everything on his own.

True, there will be no stories here about “I grew up on the streets, left school after the ninth grade, and no one believed in my rap.” Everything here is so decent that it’s even somehow strange. “I come from an ordinary family of doctors, my mother is already retired. She worked for 30 years in a city clinic as a dentist. My father now works as a surgeon at the hospital. I actually have a family of doctors. My older brother, for example, did poorly in school, and my father had the opportunity to help him get into medical school. I studied well, but medicine never attracted me.”

By the way, Yanix was the first to wear pigtails at the “new school”. “It was two years ago. Precisely braids, not dreadlocks. And then everyone else appeared.” They reacted (naturally) poorly. They asked me to return my old hairstyle. “And they put a lot of pressure. And then they got used to it, and everyone began to like the braids. I remember how I got lost, and there were 5 thousand fewer likes on the photos on Instagram.”

He graduated from school with a silver medal - only biology let him down. “I just didn’t like the subject, I missed tests.” But the teacher got into trouble for it. “She was called to the director because she allegedly could not find an approach to me. She then invited me to her place and said: “Why didn’t you tell me that you got all A’s, except for my subject?” Well, I think that if I got a B, then I deserved it.”

After school there was Moscow University of Economics and Informatics. “I am the last graduate of this university, because the next year it was merged with Plekhanovsky. And if you type the name of the university into Google, I will be the first outstanding graduate on the list. And after me there are great politicians who are now in prison, and no one can displace me, because there is no such university anymore,” Yanix laughs.

He entered on a budget. And he did what he wanted. When he came home at night, his mother didn’t talk to him at all for the first three months of school. "Because I said, 'School's out, and from now on, I decide what I want to do.' And then she realized that I couldn’t be manipulated, and the lectures became much less.”

Yanix's rap history began at the end of his second year - mixtapes, first hits. I just posted tracks on the Internet - some passed by, and some brought popularity. “Back then everything was just getting started. People came up to me a couple of times and asked to take a photo. To my classmates, I was an ordinary guy. And I put myself in such a way that no one joked with me.”

In his third year, he already rented an apartment for himself in Moscow (where he moved from his native Krasnogorsk). “And there, no one could control me at all.” Today Yanix is one of the main characters in the Russian rap game, but mom is still unhappy. “He says it would be better if you received 30 thousand a month, you would have a respected position... But what you are doing is nonsense.”

Left: Pierre Vintage trench coat (@pierre.vintage); right: INHYPE jacket (aizel.ru), Louis Vuitton sweatshirt and sneakers, Versace glasses

Yanix’s parents have never been to their son’s performances either. “I understand that they don’t understand. They are unlikely to enjoy my music. I would invite them to a large-scale concert, and I think it’s just around the corner. I, however, have this problem - I always come to the club, and it seems to me that it is getting smaller and smaller. That is, when a thousand people come, it no longer evokes emotions in me.”

He believes in karma and signs of fate and believes that rap has always been his destiny. Here’s the proof: “At 18, I couldn’t pronounce the letter “r.” And I always liked technical rap, when they rap quickly. And when you try to repeat it, you inadvertently work with diction. As a result, I began to pronounce “r”, and even a speech therapist could not help me with this as a child. I realized that I needed to continue to work on this matter, and I was right.”

You won’t see him on the subway - the last time he went down there was before he bought his first car. It will stand up better in traffic jams. “It’s not because I’m arrogant. When I lived in Krasnogorsk, I generally constantly traveled by train and minibus. It’s just, you know, the moment you become popular, people start taking pictures of you on the sly, sit down, start talking to you. So over time I realized that I want to be rich more than famous.”

Now his main income is concerts, digital sales and advertising. Yanix doesn’t have many corporate events, but they do exist: “It’s very quick and easy money. There is no need to fly anywhere, because they most often take place in Moscow or St. Petersburg. They pay a lot. You come for 40 minutes, report and get twice as much as the usual fee. But performing is uncomfortable, it’s not a stage. And, as a rule, they treat you like this: well, he came and came. There was such a case: I start performing at a girl’s birthday party, and her boyfriend said something to her, and a quarrel begins. The girl starts crying, the guys almost start fighting. The girl is sitting in the corner of the hall alone, three people are looking at me, and I continue to read. Then everyone went about their business. And when those 40 minutes were over, we just said thank you and left.”

But he almost always takes pictures with fans. When appropriate. “But I can refuse, for example, when I’m running or when a person says like an idiot: “Are you Yanix?” I say: “It’s not me,” and he says: “No, it’s you!” Why are you even asking then? I'm an artist, I'm a musician. I'm not a model, I didn't promise to be photographed 24/7 to anyone. Therefore, I can refuse when I’m not in the mood.”
