Dear site visitors! We bring to your attention a report on the X Annual National Music Award "Chart's Dozen", which took place on February 23, 2017 at the Moscow Olympic sports complex!

If the average person remembers March 2008 for the appearance of a new president in Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, then for all fans of Nashe Radio that month is inextricably linked with the concept of “Chart’s Dozen.” Until 2008, this name was given to the radio station’s weekly hit parade and the annual St. Petersburg rock festival, and after 2008, the National Music Award was added to this list. Then the first “Chart’s Dozen” ceremony was triumphantly held at the capital’s Olimpiyskiy Stadium, which included awards for artists in various categories and performances by popular rock bands.

Over the past decade, the Chart's Dozen has turned from a risky experiment into a mandatory, authoritative event, which is the main (and in fact, the only) rock award in our country. Over the years, audience interest in "The Chart's Dozen" not only did not disappear, but increased significantly. Wherever the award was held, the hall was sure to be super-full. After all, every year the organizers filled the “Chart Dozen” with a sea of surprises, unusual performances and exclusive numbers from the most famous rock bands of the post-Soviet space. Over the past nine awards, the stage of the Chart's Dozen has been trampled by Alice and DDT, Lyapis Trubetskoy and Okean Elzy, the King and the Jester and Agatha Christie, Brigada S and Sekret, Mumiy Troll and Spleen, Kipelov and ChaiF; coveted prizes were received by Sergey Shnurov and Pyotr Mamonov, Boris Grebenshchikov and Zemfira, Diana Arbenina and the founder of “Our Radio” Mikhail Kozyrev...

“The Chart's Dozen” has repeatedly changed the methods of awarding winners, the formats of the headliners' performances, and even the venues. The award managed to move from the multi-thousand-strong Olympic Stadium to Crocus City Hall for a year, then also to the giant Stadium Live club for a year, and then return to Crocus for several years. The organizers of the tenth anniversary ceremony decided to return to the roots and hold the Chart's Dozen on a grand scale. On February 23, the award was held in the native walls of the Olimpiysky sports complex.

Skeptics, of course, might doubt the success of this idea. They say there is a crisis in the country and people go to concerts much less often than 8-9 years ago. But the dynamics of ticket sales indicated the opposite - people, on the contrary, missed such impressive group concerts. Already a couple of hours before the start of the ceremony, the area around and inside the Olympic Stadium was buzzing. The entrances to the sports complex were attacked by those who wanted to take the most successful places in the dance floor. To pass the time while waiting for entry into the hall itself, an entertainment area was set up in the stadium foyer: there was a tattoo studio, a barbershop and a small stage on which musicians from the young St. Petersburg band The Hatters improvised.

The most unusual guests of the evening – the brightest representatives of the Leningrad Rock Club – were given the honor of opening the anniversary “Chart’s Dozen”. AVIA. "We have gathered to celebrate a holiday - a concert! To make all enemies sick!"- proclaimed one of the members of the group, calling on the slow lovers of Russian rock to quickly enter the hall (by the way, an endless stream of spectators walked to the stage for a whole hour from the start of the ceremony). With the theatrical pathos inherent in AVIA, the group played songs "Holiday" And "Spring Mass". What shocked the audience more – the music and behavior of the AVIA members or the sea of burning pyrotechnics – remained unknown. It is only clear that the Anti-Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble with its acrobats, wind girls, dancers, and futuristic video sequences was able to tune the “Olympic” to the desired wave.

The hosts of the “Chart Dozen 2017” were the leader of the Night Snipers and, more recently, the host of the “Our Radio” program “The Last Hero” Diana Arbenina; actor Gosha Kutsenko; TV presenter and musician Alexander Pushnoy. Pushnoy spent the first half of the ceremony on the sidelines of the sports complex (in the welcome video, Kutsenko “knocked out” the showman on the head with a guitar), so the entire entertainment lay on the shoulders of Diana and Gosha. Having told about the rich history of the “Chart Dozen”, the presenters introduced the following musicians.

Group B2 knows how to surprise. For example, they sang on Lev and Shura via teleconference - they themselves were in Yoshkar-Ola, and on the stage of the Crocus City Hall there was a symphony orchestra accompanying them. This time all the “puzzle pieces” came together at one time in one place. As part of the Bi-2 anniversary award, the symphony orchestra and conductor Felix Aranovsky organized an open rehearsal for joint March concerts in the Kremlin Palace. New "Like", which has been storming the hit parade of “Our Radio” for several months now, Lyova and Shura were helped to perform by the star of the “Voice” project Tina Kuznetsova. From earlier material they sounded "Knockin 'on Heaven" And "My rock and roll". There were duets here too. The first, together with Shura Bi-2, was sung by co-author Vladimir Shakhrin, who escaped for one day from the northern capital, where ChaiF gave concerts on February 22 and 24. In the main rock hit of the early 2000s, “My Rock and Roll,” viewers heard the vocals of Diana Arbenina. Regular visitors to Chart's Dozen may have experienced a sense of déjà vu. At the 2011 Bi-2 awards, “My Rock and Roll” was also performed to the accompaniment of the orchestra, only Yulia Chicherina was the pair of Shura.

"Chart's Dozen 2017" became the first place where you could purchase the latest double CD "Illuminator" - a tribute to the cult poet Ilya Kormiltsev. The main surprise of Bi-2’s set at the awards was the debut live performance of one of the project’s songs "Bird on the Windowsill". Bi-2 managed to gather on the Olimpiysky stage almost all the participants in the studio recording of the composition - Diana Arbenina; Vladimir Shakhrin; Nike Borzova; saxophonist Alexei Mogilevsky, whose solo from Nautilus’s “I want to be with you” fits perfectly into the track. Nastya Poleva, who did not arrive, was replaced by Tina Kuznetsova. But the collaborations with the frontmen of Bi-2 did not end there either. Under the slogan “Young people are welcome everywhere,” Shura joined the group GilZa– laureates of the “Hacking” nomination. Unfortunately, very poor sound did not allow me to fully hear the live premiere of the duet in the song "Three minutes".

Finally, after so many minutes of music, it’s time to remember that the Olimpiysky is hosting an award show, and not an ordinary rock festival. The 2017 ceremony was preceded by a nationwide audience vote on eight standard positions, in which five nominees were presented, selected by experts (journalists, musicians, industry figures). The voting, which lasted almost two months (from January 1 to February 20) on the Nashe Radio website, provoked a real war of fan clubs. In addition to these eight nominations, the “Chart Dozen” had several more special prizes, the winners of which were chosen by the organizers of the award. In total, there were thirteen nominations, which corresponds to the concept of the “devil’s dozen” and the number of places in the “chart’s dozen” hit parade.

The first group to be awarded a gold vinyl record was The Hatters, winners in the “Hack” category (Affinage, Bum Trio, Tverdy Znak and Pravada were also contenders for the prize). The youth received a record from the hands of AVIA leader Anton Adasinsky and boxer Denis Lebedev. The musician noticed that he "The Hatters are clowns in the highest sense of the word"; and the athlete read a patriotic poem of his own composition. The special award “For Charitable Activities” went to the host of the ceremony, Gosha Kutsenko, the founder of the “Step Together” foundation, which helps children with cerebral palsy.

If in the foyer of the "Olympic" The Hatters performed as an acoustic duet, then the full line-up of award “burglars” appeared on the main stage of the complex. But the wife of soloist Yuri Muzychenko did not come, and her place next to the musicians was taken by a large photograph of a girl. “I told you, you’ll be at the Olimpiyskiy, baby!”– the artist turned to his wife. The Hatters played two songs: familiar to listeners of “Our Radio” "The Boy's Word" And "Winter", for which a video clip was presented in early February.

Sergey Shnurov, Boris Grebenshchikov, Basta, Alexander Vasiliev and Lyova Bi-2 competed for the prize in the Soloist category. Director Valeria Gai Germanika and the leader of the blues band Crossroadz Sergei Voronov declared the latter the winner. Not knowing what words to say, Lyova thanked his mom, dad and Shura, and ended his speech unexpectedly: "God save the king!"

Many musicians have a common opinion that at rock festivals they should sing exclusively old popular hits, which the youngest spectators literally absorbed with their mother’s milk. Legendary Time machine This stereotype is clearly not to my liking. As at the first “Chart Dozen” in 2008, at the tenth ceremony the “drivers” left the public without “Turn” and “For Those at Sea.” Nine years ago, the group delighted the Olimpiyskiy with performances of the then new work “Time Machine”; on the eve of its 48th anniversary, Time Machine drew attention to last year’s release “You”. The set began with an autobiographical song "Be yourself", which sounded extremely relevant against the backdrop of all the incomprehensible fuss around the name of Andrei Makarevich recently:

How they loved you, lifted you up and gave you wine.
How they spread rot on you; beat, beat; watered with shit.
This fight! This means there will be fire!
Don't bend! Do not give up! Do not change! Be yourself!

Next, Time Machine went through radio singles with “You”: Alexander Kutikov, as usual, powerfully sang his own creation "Forty Years Ago"; and Makarevich, playing along with himself on the keys, performed "One day". On the screens, this song was accompanied by footage from a recent video, which was one of the contenders for victory in the “Clip” nomination. You can hear more new songs and, of course, old hits very soon - on March 10, Mashina Vremeni will give a solo concert at Crocus City Hall.

If Gosha Kutsenko received a prize in a special category, then his partner in the award, Diana Arbenina, in a difficult struggle with the groups Splin, Mgzavrebi, Kukryniksy and Melnitsa, earned a gold vinyl for the best album. And this is not surprising, because, as press releases say, just four months after its release, the Night Snipers’ album “Only Lovers Left Alive” acquired platinum status. For the group and Diana Arbenina personally, this is not the first victory at the award. In 2011, Night Snipers became the “Leader of the Chart Dozen”, in 2014 and 2016 Arbenina was recognized as soloist of the year, and the group won in the “Concert” position for a set with a choir on “Invasion”.

It wasn’t just Time Machine who decided to play new songs on the Chart Dozen. Many participants in the award concert program moved in this direction, including Kukryniksy. Starting with a song "Nobody", which set records in the hit parade of “Our Radio” ten years ago, St. Petersburg residents introduced the audience to two numbers from the landmark album “Artist,” released last summer: "Faith" And "Storm".

On February 27, it will be exactly twenty years since the best bass guitarist of Russian rock music, leader of the Black Obelisk group Anatoly Krupnov, passed away. The honorary “Legend” award was presented to Anatoly’s son Vladimir Krupnov by Garik Sukachev, who in 2016 himself became a “legend” of the “Chart Dozen”. Sukachev recalled how back in 1994 he, together with Krupnov and Sergei Voronov, "little club" invented the group The Untouchables in the hope of creating new music. “We created it. It was a colossal happiness! The reward found the hero! Tolik-brother, everything is fine!”– Garik was touched.

All the weeks leading up to February 23, the social networks of Nashe Radio were stormy with the indignation of dissatisfied citizens: “How could you invite rappers to a rock award?” Judging by the comments, it seemed that the true purists of the genre were preparing rotten tomatoes, eggs and empty bottles. But, naturally, all the anger remained on the Internet. At the performance 25/17 "Olympic" was not empty, and the group was received with a bang. The debutants of the “Chart Dozen” showed their fighting numbers to the sports complex "Alive" And "Nine points", and between them there was a place for a cover version of Dmitry Revyakin’s song "Siberian March". Unlike last year's Kalinov Bridge, at the awards the composition was performed in a full electric arrangement with an added recitative verse invented by the 25/17 musicians.

In the middle of the event there was a change of presenters. Gosha Kutsenko, who went to his solo concert, was replaced by Alexander Pushnoy, who immediately brought a share of improvisational humor to the show. The first nomination announced by the showman was the revived position “Clip”. Prizes for the best videos were awarded at the “Chart Dozen” until 2012 (curiously, three out of four times voters awarded victory to Lyapis Trubetskoy’s group), but then this nomination disappeared from the list. Last year, so many interesting video works appeared that Nashe Radio could not pass by. The contenders for victory were: “Drinking in St. Petersburg” by Leningrad, “Patriot” by Accident, “Man-Shit” by Birtman, “Once Upon a Time” by Time Machine. The Bi-2 group went around all these wonderful clips with the video “Bird on the Windowsill”. In previous years, Bi-2 received prizes in the categories “Leader of the Chart Dozen” (2011) and “Group” (2015).

“Chart Dozen 2017” can rightfully be called a triumph for Diana Arbenina. The singer not only became the host of the ceremony and received a prize for “Album of the Year”. Firstly, Arbenina presented at the Olimpiyskiy the most frank video in her history, “I really wanted to,” filmed by Yuri Grymov; Secondly, Night snipers played live three songs from the disc “Only Lovers Left Alive”: "Story", "It's not for me" And "I really wanted to".

When presenting the prize in the “Soloist” category, an unexpected surprise occurred, the reasons for which were never explained. Fur and swimmer Svetlana Romashina awarded three girls at once. One vinyl record was taken away by Leningrad vocalists Vasilisa Starshova and Florida Chanturia, and the second by Khelavisa from Melnitsa. For Helavisa, this is already the second victory in the “Soloist” nomination – the singer received the same prize in 2015.

After the women's nomination itself, it was time to listen to brutal punk rock from the regular participants of the "Chart Dozen" - the group PrinceZz. Having celebrated last year, the team, to the delight of the Olympic, presented a compilation program of new, old and very old. Fresh "Ghosts of Tam-Tam" Andrei Knyazev addressed the iconic St. Petersburg club Seva Gakkel, and "Forester" from the repertoire of the King and the Jester, the musician dedicated it to the memory of Mikhail Gorshenev. Also, the KnyaZz musicians performed the song "Mystery man", with which the history of the group once began.

While probably the most anticipated headliner of the ceremony was getting ready to perform, the presenters managed to present three awards in a row. For the prize in the "Concert" category, ChaiF competed with "Winter Acoustics" at "Invasion", a festival at "Crocus City Hall", a show by Alexey Kortnev and Kamil Larin, also at "Crocus City Hall", two performances of "The Best of" Bi- 2 again in "Crocus". All these wonderful concerts were left far behind by Zemfira, who received a prize for two sold-out “Little Man” concerts on April 1 and 3 at the Olimpiysky. According to tradition, the singer did not come to the “Chart Dozen” (Zemfira won in 2008 (“Music” and “Soloist”), 2010 (“Soloist”), 2011 (“Leader of the Chart Dozen”) and 2012 (“Music” and “Soloist”) ")). Therefore, the organizer of the “Little Man” tour, Dmitry Zaretsky, took away the golden vinyl record.

In the special nomination “For Contribution to Music,” “Our Radio” awarded composer Igor Vdovin, the first soloist of the Leningrad group, the author of music for many films and one of the authors of the “Symphonic Cinema” project. When this prize was presented, a significant meeting between Vdovin and Sergei Shnurov took place. After the hug of the two founders of Leningrad, the presenter of “Our Radio” Alexander Bon concluded: "It feels like you hate each other".

Shnurov himself also did not go without a prize. For the second year in a row, Leningrad became the winner in the “Group” category, beating serious competitors from Bi-2, Night Snipers, Semantic Hallucinations and Mgzavrebi. Sergei Shnurov received the prize vinyl from the hands of the Zapashny brothers, who were the hosts of the very first “Chart Dozen” nine years ago.

Immediately after the award ceremony, Shnur went to his group, which was already ready to tear apart the Olimpiysky. Small set Leningrad consisted mainly of songs that, thanks to video clips, the whole country knows and loves. Made a start "Kolshchik"– a video for this composition, shot by Ilya Naishuller, was presented a week before the “Chart Dozen” and has already received more than 6,000,000 views. "Kolshchik" was followed "In St. Petersburg - drink" And "Russian folk"(© Shnurov) "Exhibit". Despite the fact that the entire sports complex sang these songs along with the group, Shnurov still did not like the reaction of the audience. In the middle of "Exhibit" he stopped the band and encouraged the audience to clap: “This will all remain in history! And you with such sour faces... Smile!”

As you know, these compositions have censored versions, which Leningrad performs on various TV shoots and pop shows. At the “Chart Dozen”, Shnurov and Co. had a blast (although the tickets had a limit of only 12+), which shocked, perhaps, the people who wandered into the “Olympic” by accident. The coda to Leningrad's performance became a real anthem of the early 2000s "Show Business", capable of offending overly vulnerable viewers: "Where are your hands? Clap your hands, bitches!" The song was performed in a new version with vocals by Vasilisa and Florida. Those who were not satisfied with the short set in Leningrad need to wait until the summer. On July 13, at the Otkritie Arena stadium, the group will celebrate its twentieth anniversary with a grand show.

Group Mill The room cooled down a bit after Leningrad. Just like a year ago, Melnitsa’s performance started with the song "Roads". Next, “soloist of the year” Helavisa introduced the audience to the song "Love in Winter" from the new album “Chimera”, and finally she sang an old hit "Wolfhound", which turned into a powerful hard rock action movie by the end.

The final nomination, in which the winner was chosen using online voting, was the position “Song”. In a heated fight between Night Snipers, 25/17, Bi-2, ChaiF and Kukryniksy, the latter won. It was their track “Storm” that was recognized as “Song of the Year”. All the Kukryniksy participants came out to receive the award, with the exception of the leader Alexei Gorshenev. The “Chart Leader” nomination, which is not included in the list of standard positions, awarded to the group whose song was in first place in the final hit parade of “Our Radio” for 2016, went to the group The End of the Film for the composition “New Day”.

The word “dozen” was first mentioned in Russian in 1720. It was originally used by sailors. The word is borrowed from the French douzaine or Italian dozzina, which in turn come from the Latin duodecim (duo - “two” and decim - “ten”). M. Vasmer in his dictionary does not exclude that the origin of the word could have been influenced by the common Slavic hefty (formed from the same base as the disappeared dug - “strength”).

But why is there a separate word for 12? Not for 11, not for 14, 15, nineteen, finally. Most likely, the special status of the number 12 is associated with the spread of the duodecimal number system in ancient times.

Counting on the phalanges of the fingers in the duodecimal number system

The duodecimal number system originated in ancient Sumer. It is assumed that such a system arose based on the number of phalanges of the four fingers of the hand (excluding the thumb) when counting them with the thumb of the same hand. The phalanges of the fingers were used as the simplest abacus (the current state of the count was noted with the thumb), instead of bending the fingers, common in European civilization. Some peoples of Nigeria and Tibet use the duodecimal number system nowadays.

Almost monopolistic reign in the counting of the modern decimal number system, duodecimal now occupies its small but strong niche. This is especially reflected in the measurement of time. There are 24 hours in a day, relatively speaking, 12 hours are day, 12 hours are night. There are 12 months in a year. There are not 100 minutes in one hour, but 60 minutes, that is, 12 times five. The same can be said about seconds. The celestial sphere was conventionally divided by ancient astrologers and astronomers into 12 signs of the Zodiac. The number 12 also appears in the angle measurement system. Twelfths were often found in European systems of measures. The Roman standard fraction was the ounce (1/12). 1 English penny (pence) = 1/12 shilling, 1 inch = 1/12 foot, etc. Finally, there are exactly 12 apostles described in Christianity.

And the number 13, which Kabbalism worships, is “bad,” as evidenced by both studies of the holy scriptures and popular beliefs.

Fear of the number 13 may also have roots in Viking mythology: the god of tricksters Loki was the 13th god in the Old Norse pantheon.

In addition, card XIII in the Tarot deck represents Death.

The fear of the number 13 that many people have is called triskaidekaphobia. The specific fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia.

Implicitly numbered thirteenth house

Therefore, in some buildings, floors are numbered so as not to irritate triskaidekaphobes: after the 12th floor, the 14th may immediately follow, the building may have floors 12A and 12B, or the 13th floor may be called “12+1”. Sometimes this also applies to house and room numbers. In opera houses in Italy, sometimes there are no seats with this number, and on almost all ships, after the 12th cabin, the 14th immediately follows. Also, the 13th row is sometimes missing on airplanes (after the 12th row comes the 14th row). Due to the superstitiousness of many pilots, the United States never had an F-13 fighter: the YF-12 (prototype of the SR-71) was immediately followed by the F-14. Also, number 13 is not used in auto racing; 12 is immediately followed by 14.

There was a superstition, perhaps related to the Last Supper: if 13 people gather at one table, one of them will die within a year. There was even a profession for the “fourteenth guest,” who was invited to a meeting in order to avoid an unlucky number. In the USA, the “Thirteen Club” was created to combat this superstition. Later in Christianity, the apocryphal belief spread that Satan was the 13th angel. Hence the number thirteen began to be called - Baker's dozen.

Film "Friday the 13th"

The popular superstition about “Friday the 13th” originally came from the fusion of two truly ancient superstitions: the unluckiness of Friday (the execution of Christ) and the number 13 (an unlucky number), and in the 20th century it was popularized by the series of films “Friday the 13th” the first of which was filmed in 1980.

From a mathematical point of view, the number 13 is:

  • Natural, two-digit (in the decimal number system), odd number.
  • 7th Fibonacci number.
  • 6th Prime number, has a prime twin of 11.
  • The sum of the squares of the first two prime numbers: 13 = 2 2 + 3 2 ;
  • The largest number in the primitive Pythagorean triple (5, 12, 13), that is, is the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle with leg lengths 5 and 12: 13 2 = 5 2 + 12 2.
  • There are exactly 13 Archimedean solids.

But not everything is as bad as it seems at first glance. For example, in England the number 13 is called in English not the devil’s dozen, but the “baker’s dozen”, or “baker’s dozen”. The history of the transformation of the number 13 into the “baker's dozen” in England began with the introduction of severe fines for partial pound loaves of bread. Bread inevitably shrinks; To avoid fines, all peddlers and shopkeepers who took bread from bakers added one extra loaf to every dozen loaves.

In addition, the number “13” was popular as the tail number of German fighter planes of World War II. At the same time, in addition to the belief of some pilots in the lucky properties of numbers, it is likely that such a tail number sometimes distinguished the commander of a squadron, which traditionally consisted of 12 fighters, from other pilots.

And in Asian countries the number thirteen is the most common; they are most afraid of the number 4, which means “death.”

There is a stereotype in the human mind that the number 13 is a bad omen. Nobody wants to live in a room with these numbers, sit in a seat on an airplane with these symbols, and in general everyone wants to get through Friday the 13th as quickly as possible. However, no one will say why everything is so, why 13 is a damn dozen, and why it is so scary. Let's figure out if everything is so terrible, where the belief came from, and maybe it's not so bad?

Triskaidekaphobia

The Devil's Dozen, or thirteen, is an interesting and extraordinary phenomenon. No other number implies such a huge number of signs and superstitions that predict trouble. Not a single person knows what exactly this is, but there is a very interesting fact: the number 13 is not only misfortune, but also fear. The illness associated with the fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia.

Terdekaphobia (another name) is a painful fear of the number 13. It is both fear and superstition at the same time. Since historical times, all this has been related to prejudices of a religious nature. The fear caused by the approach of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia, or paraskavedekatriaphobia.

What are the fears associated with?

There is no single answer. If you ask the question, how much is a damn dozen, then everyone will confidently say thirteen. However, ask the same people where the unfounded superstitions come from. None of them will put forward an exact theory. There are several versions of what causes the fear of the devil's dozen.

According to biblical legends, he was the thirteenth at the table at the time. In the nineteenth century in Europe, there was a belief that it was impossible to gather 13 people at one table, otherwise one of the guests would die within a year. There was also an opinion among Christians that the thirteenth “man” was the Antichrist himself.

Another hypothesis related to the fear of the number 13 is explained by the fact that in the lunisolar calendar some years have 13 months. At the same time, the Islamic lunar and solar prove that one year is 12 months.

Some facts about the devil's dozen

The English navy once released a ship called "Friday the 13th". The ship also set out on its first voyage on this very day. No one ever saw the ship again.

Tell me, a damn dozen - how much is it? Of course, thirteen. It was on August 13 that Fidel Castro was born, and on April 13 (also on Friday) Butch Cassady, a train and bank robber, was born. Fate itself thus determines human fate in the world.

Many hospitals can boast that they do not have room number 13. Also, some do not number the 13th floor.

"Baker's Dozen"

This is what the devil's dozen is called in the UK. Despite such a beautiful title, people believe that these numbers cannot bode well. Previously, in this country, 13 had the same title as in other countries. However, the UK once passed a law requiring bakers to pay a fine if their pound loaves of bread were not up to standard. The fact that bread shrinks is known to everyone, so in order to avoid punishment, all merchants who took bread from bakers purchased one additional loaf for every dozen. The extra loaf was called unbread and was cut into pieces for those loaves that weighed a little less than a pound. That is why in the United Kingdom, when asked how much a devil's dozen is, everyone always answers: 13 - a baker's dozen.

Happiness from the number 13

Despite all the above-mentioned troubles from the devil's dozen, there are some facts that speak in favor of this number and indicate that it can bring happiness and joy. Thus, in ancient times, it was believed that whoever was 13th in a group was predicted to have power and strength. An example is the omnipotent god Zeus, who was surrounded by 12 celestials. That is why neither Plato nor Ovid were afraid of the question: a damn dozen - how much is it? In those distant times, they did not even know, but the number 13 caused them only delight and joy.

Ulysses was 13th among his comrades. And he was the only one who managed to escape from Cyclops. There are 13 Buddhas in the Indian pantheon. The USA, a country that was formed under the explicit auspices of the number 13, is today a strong, powerful state.

Military people generally do not believe in the power of the number thirteen. During the Great Patriotic War, it was the Soviet submarine “S-13” that was the most successful among all the submarines of the Baltic Fleet. She took part in the most dangerous operations, but always emerged victorious from situations that were considered doomed.

All this provides the basis for putting aside prejudices and confirming for yourself that there is nothing scary about the number 13. And always say, when you see the designation 13 somewhere: “Oh, a damn dozen! This is how much good can happen to me today.”

We forget that rock music is not just a phrase, but a huge cultural layer of national music. A colossal, not only historical, but also musical, extraordinary layer of music. OUR Radio is just one of the radio stations, but it makes SUCH a premium! This is the only radio station that takes our national history seriously,Garik Sukachev.

On February 23, a grandiose musical show took place at the Olimpiysky sports complex - the presentation of the tenth anniversary National Award “Chart Dozen”.

The backdrop at the “Chart Dozen” consisted of huge screens with unique video footage and live broadcasts from the stage.

Every five minutes a fire blazed near the stage and confetti rained down from the ceiling. In addition to musicians, the bright show involved a whole team of professionals; spectators were able to see pyrotechnic effects with a unique light show. For this reason, the “photo pit” was moved behind the dance floor... but the guests of the “Chart Dozen” were most interested, of course, in the music.

The first to come out to the audience was the group AVIA and Anton Adasinsky, who combined music, theater and... a physical education parade in their performance!

The presenters of the award, Diana Arbenina and Gosha Kutsenko, also made an opening speech, presenting one of the promised surprises of the evening: the first live performance of the song “Bird on the Windowsill” from the project in memory of Ilya Kormiltsev.

The song was performed by Bi-2 and the orchestra, joined by Vladimir Shakhrin, Alexey Mogilevsky, Nike Borzov and Diana Arbenina!

After this impressive tribute, Bi-2 and the symphony orchestra conducted by Felix Aranovsky played a half-hour set of favorite songs. “Bi-2” performed “My Rock and Roll” together with Diana Arbenina and completely captivated the audience.

In the middle of the evening, the “heavy artillery of our rock scene” group “Time Machine” appeared on stage and played several songs from the new album. Without giving the audience a break, artists came onto the stage of the anniversary “Chart Dozen” and staged a super show - the anniversaries “Kukryniksy”, 25/17, KnyaZz, “Mill”, “The End of the Film”...

But everyone was pleasantly surprised by “Basta”, who sang a duet with the classics of Russian rock - the group “Kalinov Most”. The presenters presented surprises: Diana Arbenina presented a candid video for the song “Very Wanted” on the huge screen of “The Chart’s Dozen” and immediately performed with the group “Night Snipers”, and Gosha Kutsenko was suddenly replaced by Alexander Pushnoy, who amused the audience for the rest of the evening.

But if you give someone an award for the craziest and most positive performance, then, of course, the Leningrad group!

Instead of the stated two songs, the group performed four.

Sergei Shnurov said that the Anniversary Chart's Dozen should go down in history.

“Leningrad” wins the “Group” category for the second year in a row!

Who received the rest of the awards?

This year, the Bi-2 group took two gold records: Leva Bi-2, who received the award from the hands of Sergei Voronov and Valeria Gai Germanika, became the “best soloist,” and the best video was “Bird on the Windowsill.”

The “End of Film” group was named “chart leader” - that’s what Nashe Radio listeners decided. The Hatters won a gold record in the “Breaking In” category; after a fiery performance in the foyer, even doubters recognized them as winners.

Experts and organizers of the “Chart Dozen” honored the memory of the leader of the “Black Obelisk” group, Anatoly Krupnov, who passed away 20 years ago, with the title “Legend”. The award was received by the son of the musician Vladimir Krupnov from the hands of the hosts of OUR Radio and rock legend Garik Sukachev.

Who should receive awards at the anniversary awards as the best of the best? Therefore, in 2017, another person received the title of “Legend” of our music - Sergei Chigrakov, the lead singer of the group “Chizh and Co.” Composer and musician Igor Vdovin was awarded “For his contribution to music”, who received the record from the hands of Sergei Shnurov.

The host of the show, Gosha Kutsenko, was recognized for his charitable activities, thanks to whom the “Step Together” foundation exists.
The award was presented to him by Sergei Belogolovtsev.

In 2016, many worthy albums were released and it was not easy for listeners to choose, but the “Best Album” was the album “Only Lovers Will Survive” by the group “Night Snipers”. “Concert of the Year” was chosen unanimously – Zemfira received the award.

On February 23, 2017, OUR Radio awarded gold records to the winners in 13 nominations. But, given the anniversary of the award, this time not only the main heroes of the year are awarded, but also the main heroes of the entire musical decade!

People came to the anniversary Chart's Dozen at the Olimpiyskiy 15 thousand people, And more than 175,000 viewers followed the award presentations and performances of artists in the NASH Radio group on VKontakte, where a live broadcast was conducted.

The five nominees in the categories “Album”, “Song”, “Soloist”, “Soloist”, “Concert”, “Group”, “Hack”, “Clip” are determined by the Expert Council. In addition to these nominations, there are several more. Among them are “Chart Leader” (determined based on the annual results of the hit parade), “Legend” (determined collectively by the founders of the Award; in different years, the winners were Boris Grebenshchikov, Mikhail Gorshenev, the group “Secret” and others). In addition, special categories appear based on musical events of the past year (the group “Leningrad” at the last Prize, for example, was named “Exhibit of the Year”).

After the experts determine the contenders for victory, popular voting begins on the website and on the air of OUR Radio.

The “Chart's Dozen” award was established by the radio station NASHE Radio in 2007; the last ten award ceremonies were attended by more than 100 thousand viewers.

What has changed in 10 years?
