Lika Stich and Olga Karpukhova: how former dancers make money, or why I envy them. Big dances Lika stitch dancing instagram

Part 1. “Big Dance”

The beginning of professional development in the dance field, according to Sasha, was a coincidence of circumstances that occurred at the casting of the television show “Big Dances” (TC “Russia”), in which Sasha participated.

“On the jury, I saw a fiery girl in a leather jacket and a cap with the inscription: “STICH”, who looked at me during the selection. I remembered her right away. It was the choreographer of the Moscow team - Angelica Stitch(Maria Seliverstova). Then I could not think how much would be connected with this person. She gave me the maximum five points for my performance and this charged me with energy,” recalls Sasha.

Sasha passed all the qualifying rounds of the casting and Angelica Stich was already ready to take her into the hundred Moscow participants of the project - television filming and several months of hard dance work loomed ahead. Probably, everything would have been exactly like this, but unexpected circumstances intervened in these grandiose plans...

Before the formation of teams began, the main choreographer of the project, Paul Damon, entered the hall and announced that dancers under 16 years of age could not participate in the project. And Sasha was only 11 years old (source: “ Little girl's big triumph“)

Part 2. “The show goes on: Six revolutions that changed the world”

After the “Big Dance,” Lika Stich opened enrollment in a new jazz-funk group, where Sasha also signed up. Combining classes in two schools turned out to be an impossible task
and Sasha quickly made her choice: “Lika became a dance mom for me. She taught a new style and opened up a completely different world.”

Soon Lika announced the casting of dancers for a new project for “ Record Dance Radio“. It was a grandiose production of the show “Pirate Station Revolution”, consisting of six parts - “Six revolutions that changed the world”.

The performances of the best dancers in the world who took part in the festival competitions made an unforgettable impression on Sasha. “I promised myself to return here and take away the most important victory for me at this festival,” Sasha shared her memories.

Sasha Kiseleva Vogue Ball

Half a year later, Sasha was already performing at the first Vogue Balls (Vogue Balls are dance tournaments based on Vogue) and she had her first victories.

Part 5. “House of Xclusive Lanvin”

In the previous part of the story, we deliberately omitted the story about why Lika and Sasha went to Sweden for the festival. The fact is that Lika Stitch at that time officially represented the New York dance vog house “The House of Xclusive Lanvin” in Russia and was the “mother” of the Russian representation. The head of the New York “House of Xclusive Lanvin” also came to the same festival. Dashaun Wesley– legendary dancer in Vogue style.

For Sasha, her first performance on “Street Stare” was a surprise and a real exam, which she passed with flying colors. After the festival, she was officially invited and accepted into the Xclusive Lanvin house. According to tradition, representatives of all wog houses use their real name or pseudonym, and instead of a surname they announce the name of the house that the dancer represents. So, following the traditions of the style, Sasha Kiseleva (Klyovaya) received a new stage name - Candy Xclusive Lanvin (abbreviated as Candy Lanvin).

Membership in “The House of Xclusive Lanvin” is a great honor for vogue dancers. They don’t just take you into this house. You need to work hard, be sure to perform and win the Vogue balls or at least reach the finals. House of XLanvin was formed as a result of the merger of two oldest vogue houses, “The House of Evisu” and “House of Lacroix”, each of which has a rich history. Sasha had to subsequently justify the trust placed in her.

Part 6. “DHA: The time of heroes has come!”

What do ordinary children do in the summer, when the long-awaited school holidays arrive? That's right, rest! Some go to grandma's village, some go to the sea, and some go to the country. It's so nice outside! The sun is warming gently, the water is already warm, you can swim as much as you like!

But these are ordinary children sunbathing and swimming... and our story is not about them at all. In this part we will talk about the children “Super Heroes” - students of the first Russian dance academy Lika Stich “Dance Hero Academy”. The name of the academy was not chosen by chance; students had to forget about their summer vacation and completely immerse themselves in exhausting daily six-hour training sessions with leading teachers of the CIS.

The Academy was supposed to introduce students to the Russian and foreign dance industry. During their studies, students mastered a variety of dance styles, gained knowledge in the field of PR and management, producing, staging and directing, studied acting, yoga and many other unique sciences necessary in the future for a professional Choreographer.

Sasha Kiseleva “Dance Hero Academy”

It is safe to say that such a vast amount of knowledge is not currently provided in any Russian educational institution that trains professional dancers and choreographers. Dance Hero Academy is a unique project, which unfortunately lasted only one year and was closed due to a combination of circumstances, which we will talk about later.

In addition to intensive training, students had to endure the most difficult physical exertion and reach the final point - the exam. Training for young heroes was literally given through blood, sweat and tears, but not a single student gave up. Supporting each other, they all reached the end, receiving the coveted “Heroes” diplomas. Among these students was the heroine of our story, Sasha Kiseleva (Klyovaya).

Part 7. “Street dancers in Stockholm”

Exactly a year has passed since the events described in the 4th part of our story. Sasha thoroughly prepared for the dance tournament in Stockholm. She had to fulfill her promise to herself and return home victorious.

Very often, people who are little familiar with the Vogue style make fun of the dancers, seeing only a small part of the “iceberg”. We will try to tell you a little about the features of the categories of this style and the rules of the competition.

The site continues to publish materials from independent authors - this time Ksenia Arefieva talks about a meeting with Lika Stich and Olga Karpukhova, who appeared in unexpected and somewhat frightening roles.

Among my friends there are many girls who are trying to conform to dubious trends: going to incomprehensible personal growth master classes, joining some strange organizations, becoming members of incomprehensible teams, while paying for their hobbies with large sums of money. And now one of these girls once again tells me how she met a certain Squad S. At that moment I was drinking coffee, listening to her in half an ear, but exactly until I saw familiar faces in the photographs that she slipped under my nose girlfriend.

Of course, I heard that Lika Stitch, popular in the dance community, who had previously become almost a God for many aspiring dancers, left dancing and began conducting some kind of training. But I didn’t even suspect that it looked like this. Lika Stitch renamed herself marusyainthecity, removed all her dancing photos and became a Goddess again - but now for a more solvent audience: ladies who either want to become rich, or find a rich groom, or they simply have nothing to do and no opportunity to express themselves myself.

I looked at a bunch of photos and publications on Instagram, both of the newest “teacher by vocation”, “author of trainings”, as the former Lika Stich calls herself, and her countless followers and was simply stunned. These naive girls write such inspiring posts as if they are saving the planet, and in their words there is a clear understanding that they are incredibly creative and talented. All this hysteria is actively supported by the coach herself, regularly publishing posts about how much work has been done and how much is still ahead.

After looking through all these publications, I was convinced that in front of me was a real pyramid. Some learn how to teach others. They first pay money (very, very big), then undergo training (well, I really doubt that you can learn anything useful there), then they bring other naive students and proudly publish their new titles in their accounts: from training master to a creative author of new trainings. What classes, what trainings, guys? What are you talking about anyway?

Among such training teachers, I even found Olga Karpukhova - on her page there are also no dances or liberties: only work on yourself. Now Olga Karpukhova - I quote, "woman"s trainer", "Drawing teacher (experimental techniques)". What? An experimental technician? Is this some kind of new style of dancing, or what? Of course, it’s unlikely that Lika created such a pyramid herself - rather, Someone really smart took her to his team, having learned how she can make herself an idol for hundreds of thousands of people out of nowhere.

I carefully asked my friend if she knew that her coach (Lika Stich, whom everyone now calls Masha) actually used to be a choreographer, and before that, she generally danced half naked in nightclubs? She looked at me strangely, as if I were begging, collected her papers and books and left the cafe where we were sitting.

Of course, I’m sure that if one of the new fans of Coach Masha-Stitch reads my text, they will unleash a wave of indignation on me. But it's not worth it. I'm just jealous. I envy that Lika Stich (Maria Marinevich) was able to find a way to make money from people so easily and a little brazenly. Previously, of course, she had already done this more than once, but can you really earn much from dancers? It's time for big money and big marketing. And dancing has nothing to do with it. Even more, they interfere: because it is frivolous and unprofitable.

On Saturday, March 9, a grandiose project started “Big Dance” on the TV channel Russia 1 "- 8 cities put up their teams. And now every week on our TV channel they will compete for the title of the dance capital of Russia. My colleague Marina Kim will watch every day how preparations for the next stage are progressing. After all, sometimes what happens behind the scenes is no less interesting than the grandiose stage performance.

Successful, young, she is only 25, and she is already on the stage of the largest television project in Europe together with the star singer Slava. Lika Stich is a choreographer. The production of a number about a lonely girl in a large metropolis is her story and her work.

"Stylish, from the way you looked, the way you moved. There were some interesting finds. Well done, keep up the good work. Good luck", - wished Evgeniy Papunaishvili, a member of the project jury “Big Dance”.

Just six months ago everything was completely different. The young dancer received a terrible diagnosis. Inflammation of the spinal cord is paralysis. Lika began to lose coordination and walked, pressing herself against the wall.

“I realized when my legs began to fail. For a dancer, this is a disaster.”, - recalls Lika Stich, the project’s choreographer “Big Dance”.

“For a mother, it’s scary that the child says that her legs are giving out. For me it was scary,” says the mother.

Doctors' forecasts were worse day by day, until Lika agreed to a risky operation. She was confident that she would still dance, despite the doubts of her colleagues who turned away from her.

“Only those who were with me to the end helped me. They helped me cope with all the difficulties - with pain, fear.”, continues Lika Stich, choreographer of the project “Big Dance”.

And these are already tears of despair on stage. Rehearsals, run-throughs, excitement. Lika has to both encourage and inspire her team. Exhausting work - even lighting and sound engineers have mastered a tripod instead of a pillow.

Lika radiates cheerfulness, calmness and self-confidence. Since she defeated the disease and got out of bed, it means she can lead the Moscow team into battle. In Moscow they often say that Muscovites do not support their own, but in the case of Lika and her team, this is clearly not the case.

- If you look so slyly, it means Slava, if not, then Kobzon", says Victor Drobysh.

- I'm looking at you slyly, says Fyodor Bondarchuk.

After the casting, a split arose during rehearsals; almost half of the team left. But Lika did not give up - she assembled a team.

Singer Slava and the Moscow team.

“I liked everything, it reminded me of a cinematic” Matrix". Remember when they practiced the program and the final was solved in this style. Yes, I found the concept", - praised Renata Litvinova, a member of the project jury “Big Dance”.

Today, these young guys are filmed by dozens of television cameras, they already feel like stars, although the struggle itself is still ahead. This is the quarter final, where Moscow will meet Volgograd, let's hope for the final. About what is happening with Lika and her team, our channel “ Russia 1 " will be broadcast daily.

I, Marina Kim, will keep a diary “Big Dance”. Every day you will learn what is left behind the scenes. Project “Big Dance”- that's 800 people. Eight cities are in the fight for the most danceable. The performance is reminiscent of a military parade, when the commander is a fragile girl - this is only a plus.
