Install satellite browser without registration. Russian browser "Sputnik": user reviews

The Rostelecom company has released a desktop version of the Sputnik browser for Windows - with ad blocking, a child mode and a ban on access to sites with erotic content.

Sputnik is positioned as a Russian browser, but it is based on Google's Chromuim project (the same one that is used in Chrome, Opera, Yandex Browser and a bunch of other programs).

Sputnik is a highly simplified variation of Chrome. On its start page there are several buttons for going to the developer’s services (news, weather, TV programs, maps, directory of pharmacies and organizations serving your home). There is no support for extensions, although you can find a corresponding tab in the settings.

As a default search, the browser uses its own search engine - with overly strict content filtering. You can change it to another through the program settings.

By default, the browser blocks almost all advertising on websites (the creators of Sputnik claim that only annoying ones). Unlike AdBlock Plus, Sputnik does not provide a list of advertising sources that it considers reliable.

TV channels that are shown on the Sputnik portal require the installation of a Flash plugin - companies like Google are systematically getting rid of this technology.

There is no “incognito” mode in the browser, but there is a children’s mode - with a “children’s” search engine, cartoons on the main page and even stricter content filtering. Exit from this mode is locked with a password.

In the browser, at the native level, access to approximately three thousand sites is blocked, including erotic ones (the list is also not provided). Social networks are not blocked, so it is not difficult to log into, say, a VKontakte account and find erotica through a social network search. This content is not blocked even in child mode.

It's hard to imagine a person who would voluntarily use this browser. Most likely, it will be installed in government agencies and schools, but there is no need for it there either, since a ban on access to various sites and types of content can be set by the network administrator.

Rostelecom plans to install this browser in schools in the Moscow region, and the “educational” version of the program will have even more restrictions - a ban on abstract databases and all social networks except Dnevnik.ru. It is obvious that this browser will develop in the same direction - even more prohibitions. And let Google take care of technology?

I present to your attention a new browser called Satellite, from the developers of Rostelecom, which contains many integrated services, which you can download for free below, in the full news.

Sputnik is a browser that is built using the Chromium engine, which means you can already have an idea about it, since similar programs usually have an identical appearance.

After launching the browser, the integrated services immediately catch your eye. Here we also have a news service in which you can always read the latest news from your region, a TV block that contains TV programs from central television, a weather block, and a financial one. There is also support for maps if you go through the corresponding content; a medical service where you can always find out where the nearest pharmacy is located, or read about various diseases and look at instructions for a wide range of medicines. The government services service provides services of the same name, which you can receive electronically without leaving your home. You can apply for a foreign passport, pay various fines, register your vehicle, check your pension savings, etc. The latest integrated service is My Home, in which you can get detailed information about your home, and on the map you can see which organizations are nearby, for example: the nearest school, pharmacy, kindergarten, post office, etc., you can pay housing and communal services and more, which is very convenient.

Please note that the Sputnik browser for Windows has support for children's mode, after activating which the browser will change its appearance and a special section dedicated to children will open. In this mode, you can watch various cartoons, divided by age categories, as well as programs about animals, dancing, etc. It is worth noting that in this mode the search is strictly filtered, so adult content will not be displayed and you can remain calm for your child.

Like any other serious browser, this one supports incognito mode, the inclusion of which guarantees you safe surfing the Internet without leaving any traces in the browser history, log and cache.

The Russian company Rostelecom, as part of import substitution, developed a new search system and offered users a new Internet browser, Sputnik, designed for Windows. The Russian Sputnik browser has a tiled interface that is popular today, which in appearance is similar to the interface of new versions of the Windows operating system. The presence of such a tiled interface greatly simplifies the use of the browser; among other things, if you have a touch screen, you can use all the features of the new program with maximum efficiency. Please note that the program is distributed free of charge, so you can download the Russian satellite browser from our website without having to register the program or enter serial codes.

On the main browser screen you can see thematic blocks with TV programs, news, exchange rates, weather and other four functional blocks that act as bookmarks. Unfortunately, it is not possible to perform any additional configuration on these function blocks. You can only change the browser background image.

On the toolbar you can also find numerous buttons that allow you to control your Internet browser. For example, there is a special built-in filter that allows you to manage content in the browser. This function will be relevant for parents whose children use the computer and the Internet in their absence.

We also note the built-in ad blocker, which effectively relieves the user of numerous advertisements on websites on the Internet. At the same time, Sputnik browser for PC allows you to flexibly configure the operation of such an ad blocker or disable this function altogether.

Among the advantages of this browser we can highlight:

  • Ease of working with it.
  • Availability of a Russified interface.
  • Extensive parental controls.
  • Ad blocker.
  • Quick search.
  • Targeting the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet.

You can easily download the satellite browser for free (Official version) on our Internet portal and use it to surf the Internet. The program has a minimal size, which allows you to download and quickly install it on your computer in just a few seconds. Various versions of Windows are supported, including mobile versions of the operating system. You can read reviews of the Browser below, and also leave your own.

Satellite Browser is a free “family” browser with the ability to safely surf the web and disable advertising. Developed on the Chromium engine and has a simple and accessible interface.

The web browser created by Russian developers will become indispensable on computers where it is important for parents to control the sites their children visit and the information imposed on them, as well as for users who want to quickly view the necessary information without spam and advertising.

“Children's mode” (activated by clicking on the image of a duck) automatically blocks sites with “18+” themes and inappropriate content, controls search queries and creates a high level of filtering. This mode is password protected, so your child will not be able to disable it or reset the settings.

The creators introduced two tools into Sputnik: “Advertising Removal,” which blocks ads, and “Stalker,” which recognizes malicious information. The web navigator has its own search engine with the same name Sputnik and a “smart” omnibox. Without the Internet, you can open and read web pages that you used before. The user can manage bookmarks and tabs at his own discretion.

The program's home page contains a useful news block, and you can change the background as desired. Mobile versions of the browser are in no way inferior to desktop ones and surf the web just as quickly and safely. If it is important for you to control the pages you visit and avoid spam, we recommend downloading Sputnik for free on your computer and smartphone. You can look at analogues of this browser - Opera with excellent functionality and Yandex Browser with fast data loading speed.

  • The Sputnik browser is an additional product to the Sputnik national secure search system project, running on the Chromium core, created by the Russian company Sputnik LLC, a subsidiary of PJSC Rostelecom. Its first release was presented two years ago, on September 30, 2015.

The project of the Russian search engine Sputnik failed due to the fact that the search engine was created artificially, and its developers did not have a clear understanding of the purpose for which it was being created.

Alexey Volin, Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation
()

Nevertheless, at the same time the management stated that Sputnik would not be closed, but would be improved and, as a result, would be in demand.

And now we read that a by-product of the Sputnik search engine, the browser of the same name, is aimed at officials. That is, in other words, you need to understand that it will be in demand with the help of administrative measures and restrictions. This is our opinion!

Indeed, why bother promoting a product, competing with other browsers, waiting for users to choose the Sputnik browser instead of, for example, GoogleChrome (you may not wait for that day), when it can and should be better implemented by order.

For the sake of the country's security, all officials must switch to using Sputnik:

We are now discussing the use primarily of the browser for the needs of government agencies and government corporations. And this, among other things, is related to issues of the country’s information sovereignty, since all browsers are Western and all information about who goes where and what information they receive, it generally ends up outside the Russian Federation

The President of PJSC Rostelecom does not rule out that in the future a law may be developed that will oblige all officials and state corporations to use Sputnik.

Indeed, the good stuff should not go to waste! With the Sputnik browser, everyone feels safe and comfortable on the Internet. Protect yourself and your loved ones from any unofficial information using modern technologies of the Sputnik web browser!

The Sputnik browser helps make browsing the Internet safer and more useful, solves everyday problems faster, and makes it easier to access official information or government services on the Internet.

But seriously, the Sputnik web browser is actually not bad, nor is the search engine. Only its purpose is highly specialized, related to the provision of government services and official information.

Of course, if there is no other browser besides the Sputnik browser, then it will be bad. But if it remains possible to use other browsers that have already become familiar, then the presence of the Sputnik browser, as well as the search engine of the same name, will in no case be superfluous.

As you can understand, the developers of the Sputnik browser have taken the path of deepening the specialization of the browser. And this seems correct.

Currently, a version of the “trusted browser” with a built-in cryptographic information protection tool “CryptoPro CSP”, developed in accordance with Russian GOST standards, is being distributed. The browser is intended for use in government and corporate systems that require the use of Russian cryptographic information security tools.

✔ Moreover, you and I can use a “trusted browser” instead of the obsolete Internet Explorer browser from Microsoft to work with electronic signatures, which allows us to use the Sputnik browser for secure document flow, including for working on electronic trading platforms, in personal accounts of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and other services using electronic signatures.

Already now, when downloading the Sputnik web browser, two browser download options are offered: “Regular” or “With support for domestic cryptography”:

Select the option “With support for domestic cryptography.” Download, install, launch.

The Sputnik web browser already contains built-in cryptography tools (CryptoPro plugin) for working with electronic signatures. That is, we will have to tinker with the settings less than in the case of Internet Explorer.

Of course, we will still have to buy another electronic signature. Please note that the browser fully works with an electronic signature if it is recorded on an EDS 2.0 root token in conjunction with JaCarta GOST. If we have an electronic signature that is recorded on a regular flash drive, then it will not yet be possible to use the electronic signature through the Sputnik browser.

A week ago, on September 1, we once again saw off the children to school. New school year, new class. This is always a joyful and exciting day, especially for parents.

And on this day you always inevitably pay attention to how quickly our children are growing. And also how we, parents, grow old... No, no! All the parents were in great shape that day, rested, tanned, young and not young, all beautiful. But looking at each other and at the children, you understand that time passes and in the daily troubles and worries it still takes its toll. A little bit every year. Slowly, but relentlessly! For some it gives new wrinkles, and for others the first gray hair.

All this cannot but set one in a lyrical mood. And the best way to convey the mood is a song, a good composition, tested, as they say, by time:

The accountant chose the latest, most poignant, concert version of the popular hit "HELLO! I LOVE YOU!" on YouTube.
