According to historian Berthier-Delagarde, the first settlements on the site of Morskoye arose in the 8th-9th centuries.
In 1381, under an agreement with Elias Bey of Solkhat, “the mountainous southern part of Crimea northeast of Balaklava” came into the possession of Genoa, including Kapsohori (one of the former names of the village).

In 1475, Kapsihor was included in the Sudak Kadylyk of the Kefin Sanjak as a result of its capture by the Ottomans.
From 1774 to 1783 the village belonged to the Crimean Khanate.

After the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 1783, the village was assigned to Levkopolsky, and later to Feodosia district of the Tauride region.

After the creation of the Tauride province in 1802, Kapsikhor was included in the Koktash volost of the Feodosia district. At that time there were 235 inhabitants in the village.

In the 1860s, the village was assigned to the Taraktash volost; there were 515 residents, and by the 1890s there were already 1584. By 1915, the population was 1912 people.
.
By decree of the Crimean Revolutionary Committee of January 8, 1921, the village was included in the newly created Sudak district of Feodosia district (since 1922 - district). Later, in 1923, the Sudak region became an independent administrative unit, and Kapsikhor became the village council of the Sudak region.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR dated August 21, 1945, Kapsichore was renamed Morskoe.

On December 30, 1962, the Sudak district was abolished and the village was included in the Alushta district.

In 1979, the Sudak district was recreated and the village was transferred to it.

By a resolution of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea dated July 9, 1991, instead of the Sudak district, the Sudak City Council was created, to which the village was reassigned.

Currently, the village belongs to the urban district of Sudak.

Some interesting historical information

These areas were inhabited about 1,700 years ago. But after 300 centuries, Genoa, competing with Venice, occupied this area in order to establish its trading posts leading to the Middle East. And a century later, the lands began to belong to the Ottoman Empire; only about three hundred people lived there and there were fifty-six households.

The village gradually grew. At the end of the 18th century it became part of the Russian Empire. After numerous upheavals, only forty-two courtyards remained. In the 17th and 19th centuries, it changed its name and was assigned to various regions and provinces. The village, which from ancient times was called Kapsikhor, however, grew and was inhabited by Tatars, who had a mosque and two trading shops, and already had about 500 inhabitants. They actively grew grapes since they had their own land.

After the Great Patriotic War

When the revolution occurred, the population was already approximately 1500 people. Then World War II came to Crimea, and in 1944, after the liberation of the peninsula, all Crimean Tatars were resettled to Central Asia. Residents from different regions and republics of the USSR began to come to the free lands. These were mainly collective farmers from the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, and then from Ukraine. In 1945, Kapsichore was renamed. It began to be called Morskoye.
