Poetry page. Kind soul I often think that in the world

Maximilian Voloshin

I will not crime and will not violate,

I will not open the conditional circle.

Blind soul to the earthly lights

I won’t endure any more torment.

It is not given to me to understand, to measure

But I won’t betray your longing -

And I will wait and I will believe

The words you didn't say.

See everything, understand everything, know everything, experience everything,

All forms, all colors can be absorbed by your eyes.

Walk across the entire earth with burning feet,

To perceive everything and embody it again.

Anna Akhmatova

I often think about why we live in the world.
Why do we come to this world, the world of white roses and black holes.
I often think that the world we live in
He is sometimes beautiful and sweet, and sometimes he is heavy and rotten.
I often think that we live in everything in the world,
To repaint this world,
The color of roses from the color of black holes.

It's time to remove the amber,

It's time to change the dictionary

It's time to turn off the lamp

My star

Among the worlds, in the twinkling of the luminaries

I repeat the name of one star,

Not because I love her

But because I feel dark with others.

And if my heart is heavy,

I'm the only one looking for an answer from her,

Not because it makes it light,

But because it doesn’t require light.

Fatigue

Live both like everyone else and like not everyone else

I'm very tired today.

There is only a wet highway

Leading somewhere into autumn.

Not life, not fight, not passion, not trembling,

And the air is full of selflessness,

Where is the headwind, light rain

And leaves wet from drops.

Never regret anything afterward,

If what happened cannot be changed.

Like a note from the past, I crumpled up my sadness,

Break the fragile thread with this past.

Never regret what happened.

Or about something that can no longer happen.

If only the lake of your soul does not become muddy

Yes, hopes, like birds, soared in my soul.

Do not regret your kindness and participation.

Even if for everything you get a smile in return.

Someone became a genius, someone became a boss...

Don't regret not having their troubles.

Did you start late or leave early?

Let someone play the flute brilliantly.

But he takes songs from your soul.

Never, never regret anything -

No lost days, no burnt love.

Let someone else play the flute brilliantly,

But you listened even more brilliantly.

While the Earth is still spinning,

while the light is still bright,

Lord, give it to everyone

what he doesn't have:

give head to the wise,

Give the coward a horse

give the lucky guy some money...

And don't forget about me.

While the Earth is still spinning -

Lord, your power! -

give to the one who is eager for power

dominate to your heart's content,

give the generous one a break,

at least until the end of the day.

Give Cain repentance...

And don't forget about me.

I know: You can do everything,

I believe in Your wisdom,

as the killed soldier believes,

that he lives in paradise,

as every ear believes

to Your quiet words,

as we ourselves believe,

not knowing what we are doing!

Lord my God,

my green-eyed one!

While the Earth is still spinning,

and it’s strange to her herself,

while she still has enough

time and fire,

Give everyone a little...

And don't forget about me.

There are no uninteresting people in the world.
Their destinies are like the stories of the planets.
Each one has everything special, its own,
and there are no planets similar to it.

What if someone lived unnoticed
and made friends with this invisibility,
he was interesting among people
its very uninterestingness.

Everyone has their own secret personal world.
There is the best moment in this world.
There is the most terrible hour in this world,
but all this is unknown to us.

And if a person dies,
his first snow dies with him,
and the first kiss, and the first fight...
He takes all this with him.

Yes, books and bridges remain,
cars and artists canvases,
yes, much is destined to remain,
but something still goes away!

This is the law of the ruthless game.
It is not people who die, but worlds.
We remember people, sinful and earthly.
What did we really know about them?

What do we know about brothers, about friends,
What do we know about our only one?
And about his own father
We, knowing everything, know nothing.

People are leaving... They cannot be brought back.
Their secret worlds cannot be revived.
And every time I want again
scream from this irrevocability.

The day before birth, the child asked God:

- I don’t know what I should do in this World?

God replied:

- I will give you an Angel who will always be next to you and give you advice.

- But I don't understand his language.

- The angel will teach you his language. He will protect you from all troubles.

- What is the name of my angel?

- It doesn’t matter what his name is...you will call him MAMA...

Dear friends, readers, subscribers!

I want to start the post with this familiar parable – a selection of poems, thoughts, phrases, reflections and quotes about MOTHER. After all, her holiday is approaching!

Mother's Day is a great and holy holiday.

Today it goes around the world.

Today the whole world worships the one

There is no one happier

Who did not sleep at night and peace is our shore

Who is the strongest and most righteous,

Our friend and comrade, doctor and teacher...

Happy Mother's Day, dear mother!

We probably all intuitively remembera short story by Zoya Voskresenskaya:

“The most beautiful word on earth is mother. This is the first word that a person utters, and it sounds equally gentle in all languages. Mom has the kindest and most affectionate hands, they can do everything. Mom has the most loyal and sensitive heart - love never fades in it, it does not remain indifferent to anything. And no matter how old you are - five or fifty, you always need your mother, her affection, her gaze. And the greater your love for your mother, the happier and brighter her life.”

A lot of kind words have been written

About our mothers, dear and beautiful.

They are like fairies from fairy tales,

They bring an endless holiday into our lives.

They are with their kindness and love

Capable of dispelling any fog.

There are no dearer mothers in the world,

There is no one more beloved than my mother.

She is like a ray of light in the night to me.

When she is near, my heart is warmer.

Thank you for being able to teach

Everything that you yourself, dear, can do.

Mothers love us for who we are, but my mother’s most cherished desire is to see us healthy, kind and smart. And we want to see them always young, cheerful and cheerful. If you want to make your mother the happiest person, act in a way that makes her happy and proud to say. “You know how good my children are!”

As we grow older over the years,

When we become smarter,

More and more often we feel sad about our mother,

We think about her more and more.

Her love shines in our lives,

She was given to us for happiness

There are few friends in the world,

But my mother is still alone.

Love your mother!

Love like a shrine!

Love yourself more deeply!

She gave us life and raised us.

LOVE MOTHER, WE HAVE ONE!!!

Mom is the dearest and closest person. Sometimes in the bustle of days we forget about it and remember only on holidays. But she really wants to hear kind words every day and know that she is still needed and loved. Read these verses...maybe someday you will decide to read them for your mother:

***

Mom is tenderness, affection

Happiness, sunshine, kindness

Real care

Joy, light and beauty.

Mom is a bedtime story

Mom - wisdom and advice

***

I can’t describe how much I love you!

You are the best, I’ll say it straight out!

I want to wish you with all my heart

Love, good luck and health, mom!

Who opened this world to me,

Sparing no effort?

And always protected?

The best MOTHER in the world.

Who is the cutest in the world?

And it will warm you with its warmth,

Loves more than himself?

Reads books in the evening

And he always understands everything,

Even if I'm stubborn

I know MOM loves me.

Never gets discouraged

He knows exactly what I need.

If suddenly drama happens,

Who will support? My mom.

I'm walking along the path

But my legs are tired.

Jump over the hole

Who will help? I know - MOM

***

Mom, mommy! How much warmth is hidden in this magical word that names the closest, dearest, only person. Mother's love warms us until old age. Mom teaches us to be wise, she endures all our troubles with us, she gives us life.

From a child's essay:

For every child, his mother is the best in the world. Our mothers gave us life, for which we are already grateful. The first word a child says is mom! This is the most important word in our life. No child can tolerate separation from his mother. His heart is so heavy and sad! It’s great that they came up with International Women’s Day – March 8th. On this day we give mothers flowers, sweets and much more. On March 8th, children seem to thank their mothers for everything they did for us: they gave us a piece of their soul, they loved, understood and supported us in difficult times. We loved, love and will love our dear and caring mothers.

Everything beautiful in a person comes from the rays of the sun and from the Mother’s milk. (M. Gorky)

There is nothing holier and more selfless than a mother’s love; every attachment, every love, every passion is either weak or self-interested in comparison with it. (V. Belinsky)

You are mom. Is this a lot or a little?

You are mom. Is this happiness or a cross?

And it's impossible to start all over again,

You pray now for what is:

For crying at night, for milk, diapers,

For the first step, for the first words.

For all children. For every child.

You are mom! And therefore right!

You are the whole world. You are the rebirth of life.

And you would like to hug the whole world.

You are mom. Mother! It's a pleasure

No one can take it away from you!

MOTHER...Listen, think about this word...

Numerous explanatory dictionaries do not give an unambiguous, precise and complete definition of this word. Apparently because this concept is too broad and comprehensive. Let's try to bring all these concepts to one common denominator, although this will be very conditional.

In Russian it’s “mama”, in Georgian it’s “nana”.

And in Avar it is affectionately “baba”.

From thousands of words of earth and ocean

This one has a special destiny.

Our lullaby becoming the first word of the year,

It sometimes entered a smoky circle

And on the lips of a soldier in the hour of death

The last call suddenly became.

There are no shadows on this word,

And in silence, probably because

Other words, kneeling,

They want to confess to him.

The spring, having rendered a service to the jug,

This word babbles because

What a mountain peak remembers -

She was known as his mother.

And lightning will cut through the cloud again,

And I will hear, following the rain,

How, absorbed into the ground, this word

Raindrops are calling.

I’ll sigh secretly, grieving about something,

And, hiding a tear in the clear light of day,

Don’t worry, mom, I say, everything is fine, my dear.

Constantly worries about his son

Holy love is a great slave.

In Russian "mama", in Georgian "nana"

And in Avar - affectionately “baba”.

(Rasul Gamzatov “Mother”)

Mother is the giver of life and the nurturer of her children. A mother is precisely a “life giver”, because this is much more complex than just a biological mother. She feeds, clothes, and helps to understand life, helps to overcome all its difficulties, small and large difficulties. It’s not for nothing that they say that a mother is not the one who gave birth, but the one who raised her.

A woman with a child in her arms.

Spells from any misfortune

(She really has a lot to offer!),

No, not the Mother of God, but the earthly one,

Proud, exalted mother.

The light of love has been bequeathed to her since ancient times,

So here it stands for centuries:

The most beautiful of women -

A woman with a child in her arms.

Everything in the world is marked by traces

No matter how many paths you walk,

Apple tree - decorated with fruits,

A woman is the fate of her children.

May the sun forever applaud her,

So she will live for centuries,

The most beautiful of women -

A woman with a child in her arms.

(From the Internet)

For a little person who has just come into our world, mother is the personification of this world. This is the best doctor and visiting nurse in the world (who better than a mother can relieve the pain of her child), and a psychologist (only a mother can calm a suddenly crying baby), and a teacher, and a nanny.

Who came to me this morning?

Mommy.

Who said: "It's time to get up"?

Mommy.

Who managed to cook the porridge?

Mommy.

Should I pour some tea into a bowl?

Mommy.

Who braided my hair?

Mommy.

Swept the whole house by yourself?

Mommy.

Who picked flowers in the garden?

Mommy.

Who kissed me?

Mommy.

Who as a child loves laughter?

Mommy.

Who is the best in the world?

Mommy.

(U. Rajab)

With what tenderness he rests in his arms
She is her own child in thoughtful silence!..
The seal of suffering lies on the closed lips,
And a quiet caress in the downcast eyes...

Anxiously pressing the child to her chest,
She looks into his future with longing,
And the mother wants to close with a helpless hand
Your child from tears, sadness and sorrows...

And in her heart there is a vague fear
To lose the dear, the only shrine...
After all, without him the whole world will remain a desert,
And for him she will go to execution.

For a child, a mother is protection from the greatest fears and the most authoritative teacher: who, if not she, can explain everything in such a way that even the most complex and terrible things will become simple and understandable, and therefore not at all scary, maybe even funny. A strict teacher and educator, the mother even knows how to punish in such a way that the child has no resentment against her, but only regret that he has upset the closest and dearest person on Earth to him - his mother.

We love her because
What sometimes
It's getting stricter
In the wrinkles of the eyes.
But he confesses
Come with your head -
Wrinkles will disappear
The storm will pass away.

For always
Without hiding and directly
We can trust
She has her own heart.
And just because
That she is our mother
We are strong and gentle
We love her.

Every child, voluntarily or unwittingly doing something bad, knows that only his mother can understand him and will definitely forgive him. After all, she a priori accepts her child as smart, good and kind, making mistakes not out of malice or perversity, not out of natural stupidity, but out of thoughtlessness, not realizing, due to his childishness, all the consequences of the offense. And how does this confidence that he is “good” help the baby to really strive to be like that!

There is a special person
In the life of every child,
If you hurt your knee,
He will tell you where the green stuff is.

He will understand everything and forgive everything,
Maybe they really have a fight,
But that’s why it was given to us,
So that we can educate ourselves.

We go through life with him,
We get smarter and grow with him,
Only he will help with everything,
He will put everything on the shelves.

There is no such person

Who can replace us?
Tenderness, affection and care,
And who can love like that?

But I won't hide it
And I will say openly, directly,
This is a bright man
And I call him Mom.

The baby is growing, turning into an adult, but his connection with his mother is still strong, he still needs and cares about his mother’s advice, her assessment, her support and just a kind, understanding look. For the rest of her life, mother remains the most important person on Earth. She is deified, she is forgiven for unexpected insults, which - of course, are inflicted not out of malice, but out of fatigue: after all, on her fragile shoulders lies a heavy burden of responsibility for the life and upbringing of her beloved children!

I know there is a person in the world

A love that will last a long time,

Not a day, not a year, but a whole century

After all, this is more valuable to him than debt!

He is better and sweeter than everyone else in the world,

He loves you more than himself

He will warm you with his warmth and kindness,

He will give you tenderness, loving!

He helped you get to know this world,

To go straight through life,

He fenced you off from your problems,

And this person is called MOM!

And it is no coincidence that in the brightest moments of our lives, whether in trouble, in joy, from grief or pain, from happiness, surprise or fear, we instinctively exclaim: “Mom, mommy!” We pronounce the word “mother” as a prayer that helps us to withstand or overcome, to overcome the most difficult test in life, and we cherish the memory of our mother as a shrine, not allowing anyone to tarnish her name even with a word.

Parable by Bruno Ferrero "The Account".

One evening, when my mother was busy in the kitchen, her eleven-year-old son approached her with a piece of paper in his hands. Putting on an official air, the boy handed the piece of paper to his mother. Wiping her hands on her apron, my mother began to read:
Invoice for my work
-For sweeping the yard – 5 liras
-For cleaning my room – 10 liras

For the purchase of milk – 1 lira
-Looking after my sister (three times) – 15 liras
-For receiving the highest grade twice – 10 liras

For taking out the trash every evening – 7 liras
-Total – 48 liras.
Having finished reading, the mother looked tenderly at her son, took a pen and wrote on the back of the sheet:
-For carrying you in her womb for 9 months – 0 lira

For all the nights I spent near your crib when you were sick - 0 lira
-For all those hours when I calmed you down and amused you so that you wouldn’t be sad – 0 lira
-For all those tears that I wiped from your eyes – 0 lira

For everything I taught you every day - 0 lira
-For all breakfasts, lunches, dinners and sandwiches at school - 0 lira.
-For the life that I dedicate to you every day - 0 lira.
-Total – 0 lira.
Having finished writing, the mother, smiling tenderly, handed the piece of paper to her son. The boy carefully read what was written, and two huge tears rolled down his cheeks. He turned the sheet over and wrote on his account: “Paid,” then he grabbed his mother’s neck and leaned against him, hiding his face...

PARABLE

The little boy got lost in the crowd. He called his mother, but she did not hear him through the noise of the crowd. And then they asked him: “What is she like, your mother? Describe her and we will help you find her!” And the baby answered without thinking for a minute: “My mother is the one who is the best!”

MOTHERHOOD FROM THE BIBLE'S PERSPECTIVE

Motherhood,The miracle of the birth of children is a special, amazing gift from the Lord, which brings a woman closer to the Creator and gives her the opportunity to most acutely feel and know the responsibility and depth of emotions for a born child. After all, caring for children, showing the joy of motherhood, loving everything related to the birth and raising of children gives a woman special inner beauty and charm.

Responsibility. Adam and Eve - sin entered. Two sons - Cain and Abel. The killing of one by others. Which parent failed to instill love for his brother? Who set an example of meanness, anger and hatred? Everything is attributed to society, to a bad example at school, on the street... it all starts in the FAMILY.

Motherhood is the most important role God has assigned to many women. Titus 2:4-5 tells women about their responsibility to love their children:“That young people may be admonished to love their husbands, to love their children, to be chaste, pure, caring for the home, kind, and submissive to their husbands, so that the word of God may not be reviled.”

The Bible points us to maternal love as our duty, and also mentions certain points that must be fulfilled by both mother and father:

kind soul

I often think: what is the cutest thing in the world? and no matter how I guess, the same answer always comes out: there is no sweeter human soul in the world. Of course, a good person does not always have a good life; Of course, he suffers even more often than the other one, who looks with bulging eyes at the world of God, and he does not care about anyone’s great sorrows, but he also suffers somehow quietly, sweetly, lovingly...
It’s good to meet a kind person in life: firstly, he has always seen, thought and experienced a lot, and therefore can tell and explain a lot; secondly, the very closeness of a good human soul enlightens and calms everything that touches it. How people get to the point where they become completely, absolutely kind, that they don’t blame, don’t get indignant, but only love and feel sorry for them is quite difficult to explain right away. However, it can be said almost without error that this cannot be achieved otherwise than through constant work of thought. When a person thinks a lot, when he considers not only the external signs of the actions and actions of his neighbors, but also the internal history that served as preparation for them, then it is very difficult to remain in the role of an accuser, even if the external signs of a certain action arouse indignation. As soon as thought explains and clears action of the impurities that confuse it, the heart cannot help but dissolve and justify. Criminals disappear; their place is taken by the “unfortunate”, and because of these “unfortunate” the good human soul burns, languishes and languishes...
We meet a lot of people in the world, but, unfortunately, most of them are precisely those who walk around with bulging eyes and don’t want to hear about anything except their small personal interests. These people are the most unfortunate, even more unhappy than those whom we actually call criminals. A real “criminal” may have his whole soul in pain before he decides to commit a crime, but this one, who walks with bulging eyes along the street, does his little nasty things at every step and doesn’t even feel that these nasty things are the same crimes and that from their dark mass flow all worldly misfortunes.
But there are a lot of good people, and you, dear children, are always the first to distinguish them. When you feel that you are at ease and pleasant around a person; when your faces bloom with a smile at the sight of him, when you are instinctively attracted to caress him... know that he is as pure and sweet a person as you are; know that beating near you is exactly the same kind human heart that I want to talk about here.
Nowhere are there so many kind souls to be found as between women. A man is almost always up to his neck in his petty everyday affairs; it is more for the people, it is more often forced to fight, to see and endure injustice. Therefore, he has more reasons to cultivate a feeling of annoyance and has no time to consider his conclusions with the benefits of others; there is no time to forgive. Moreover, a certain amount of independence gave his actions a somewhat predatory character, as a result of which his favorite proverbs became: “That’s what war is for!” yes “Then pike into the sea, so that the crucian does not sleep!” On the contrary, from a very young age a woman is almost always alone and always in a pen; The real role to which - at least at the present time - a woman is condemned is the role of silence and fulfillment of other people's desires and whims. So she is silent, but at the same time she thinks, thinks a lot. And the more she thinks, the more painfully her own lonely life drags on, the more her loving, kind heart dissolves. She sees how a man fusses and struggles all his life, how he dissembles and dodges for a piece of daily bread, and the thought of “misfortune”, which, as if in some kind of net, has entangled the entire human race, spontaneously arises in her head. Whether her husband returns home angry and drunk, she thinks: “Lord! how unfortunate he is!” Whether her son will be caught in lawless deeds, she thinks: “Lord! how he must suffer and how he needs, how he needs a loving heart that could instill peace in his yearning soul!”
And when a woman wants to console a grieving person, then we can say for sure that in the whole world there will not be a sweeter or better consolation. There is no dad who would not have a source of tears at the sight of a woman’s pacifying caress; There is no murderer whose heart would not tremble before a woman’s loving word. And not only because this caress or word puts a person to sleep or makes him forget something, but because this caress, this word restores a distorted human image, that they suddenly cleanse his soul from the superficial dirt of everyday life, that although they do not destroy the past, but make it impossible to return to it...
When I was in that slum that I recently told you about, chance brought me together with one infinitely kind woman, the memory of whom will be blessed for me until the end of my life. This is what I will talk to you about.
It was the widow of a tradesman, Anna Markovna Glavshchikova. Her husband was once a wealthy merchant, but then he lived out his life, went bankrupt and died among the burghers, leaving Anna Markovna with a very limited fortune. As I remember now, she lived in her small one-story house, with three windows facing the street, near which stood a fairly spacious barn with large folding doors. In this barn, filled with all sorts of small goods, Mark Gavrilych, Anna Markovna’s father, an ancient old man, as if covered with moss, who no longer heard or saw almost anything, usually traded, but did not agree to let go of the reins of power. Seryozha, a rather lively boy, was assigned to help him, who was something like a nephew to Anna Markovna, and with their combined efforts they somehow managed to conduct business without any damage, although the father of the archpriest of the neighboring church, every time he passed by the Glavshchikovs’ shop, in no way I could resist not saying:
- Old age and youth have entered into an alliance; both cry out: “Help!”
When I got to know Anna Markovna, she was already a woman over fifty. Her face, apparently, even in her former, young years could not be called beautiful, but good nature and a kind of happy calmness shone in all its features. Sensitivity often made her cry, but she cried without any effort; tears will spontaneously flow from the eyes and flow down the senile rosy cheeks; and it was clear that she cried easily and cried sweetly. Often she also sighed, but these were not real sighs, but some kind of quiet sobbing, completely similar to a child’s. In general, her ugliness was of such a kind that one could very soon get used to it, and the more you get used to it, the better and freer you feel with it, so that in the end, perhaps, this face, devoid of all grace, will seem more beautiful than any beauty.
There were always a great many children running around in her yard. There were also the children of Anna Markovna’s poor relatives, and homeless orphans, whom she somehow knew how to find everywhere. Therefore, the fuss in the yard and at the gate, near the shop, was always terrible. Some jump on the board, some dig in the sand, some knead clay pies, some talk to an Indian rooster, and finally, some sneak up on grandfather Mark Gavrilych and try to take the thick silver glasses off his nose.
- Ksh... they'll shoot! - Grandfather will shout at them; but he shouts so kindly that the “shooters” splash out in all directions with ringing laughter and immediately begin to confer on how to come up with a new campaign against grandfather.
This love of Anna Markovna for children served as a connecting link between her and me. I cannot pass by a small child without patting him on the head or giving him a gingerbread. Anna Markovna immediately noticed this quality of mine, and she began to like me. And I became even more loving to her when she found out that I belonged to the “unlucky ones”, that I was also a “prisoner” of sorts, although I go every day to serve in the provincial government, so that, as Mark Gavrilych put it, “all there is no harm in building." And in the eyes of Anna Markovna, after the baby there was no more beautiful person in the world, like the “unfortunate” or the “prisoner.”
And then one day, when I, having created a feasible amount of “harm” during the morning, was returning home from the provincial government and, stopping near the shop, talking with the “shooters” who surrounded me, Anna Markovna herself came out of the gate.
- Yes, you, dear master, at least come in for a cup of tea! - she told me, - otherwise I’m somehow ashamed, the old woman! You keep caressing and giving gifts to this free woman of mine, but I haven’t managed to pamper you with anything yet! Please, my dear, let’s meet!
I followed her, and from the moment I crossed the threshold of this house, my soul somehow cheered up. It was as if someone from afar smiled at me and cherished me, as if a long-lost and suddenly found friend pressed me tightly to his chest.
Often, almost every day, I talked with her, and everything that I already knew, that the book told me about, it was as if I understood it all for the second time, understood it with my heart, my mind, and my whole being. The book of life, in which every word seemed to breathe and beat, opened before me with all its pains; with all the thirst for happiness, which, like a mirage, beckons and trembles on the horizon, in vain only exhausting and drying up the chest of the poor wanderer of the sea of life. This simple, but infinitely kind woman worked a lot in her life and thought a lot, but she only came up with love and forgiveness. She did not receive any education and therefore was not always able to understand the reasons for this or that phenomenon; but since, at her age and in her circumstances, it was no longer possible to help this deficiency, she quite naturally compensated for it with that intensified burning of the heart, which is accessible to even the simplest person and which at the same time contributes so much to increasing the amount of good in the world .
Her special favorites were: firstly, children, secondly, men, and thirdly, criminals, or, as she always put it, prisoners.
“I don’t know about you, my friend,” she used to say to me (she very soon became friends with me and began to call me “you”), “but I love these kids so passionately!” Firstly, they are very smart and entertaining, secondly, there is not that much evil in them! And don’t think, my friend, that this little guy doesn’t understand anything! No, he, the rogue, has grown an arshin from the ground, and he has already understood everything! After all, he is the same big man, only poured into a small mold; just like the sun plays in a droplet, it looks like a real person!
As she said this, she stroked her little grandson Seryozha, who snorted with pleasure as he listened to his grandmother’s speeches, and thereby undoubtedly confirmed their validity.
- Tell me, Anna Markovna, something about peasant need? - I asked her sometimes, knowing that this was one of her favorite subjects and that nothing could give her greater pleasure than by providing an opportunity to talk about it.
- Oh, what a need it is, my friend! what a grave need this is! It seems that your heart should burn, as if in a real manner, to think about this need!
- And completeness, Anna Markovna! They live happily for themselves, just a little cramped! - you will tell her to this in order to incite and joke about her ardor.
- No, don’t say that, don’t even joke about it! Just go into a peasant’s hut, try the bread they eat, and it, their need, will catch your eye. And again, think that for this chaff bread of theirs and empty cabbage soup, he must work for a whole century, until his death, all the time, all the time! As soon as the god of the soul holds them, as soon as the strength still remains in them! After all, in reality, these empty cabbage soup should be washed off a person’s sides, but he hides everything, everything works! And everything doesn’t work for yourself... yes, not for yourself!
- But in the newspapers, Anna Markovna, they write that the man is poor because he drinks too much! - You’ll make fun of her again.
- They all lie, your newspapers lie! - she will throw up at me, - if only you wrote less of these lies, and you would not live in this slum, but, perhaps, you would cut the pavements in the stars and in ribbons! Just think about what they say, these newspapermen are yours, they say! The man drinks! How often does he drink, I would ask you? A week, or even once a month, at the market! Have you heard how a man goes to the market, what he goes with and what he does there?
- No, Anna Markovna, I must admit, I don’t know much about these matters.
- So I’ll tell you. A man is driving to the market at night so that he can get to the city early, when he starts to get a little squeamish. He doesn’t sleep, he keeps walking around the cart and beats off his legs so much that they seem to start growing out of his bast shoes. And he walks in this manner for dozens of miles, in the wet, and in the dust, and in the snow, and in the blizzard, and in the rain. And his face is white from the frost, and his legs are tingling, and he is falling asleep, but he goes on and on, as if he had God knows what joy lies ahead of him. And he’s driving, my friend, on his own cart... do you know what he’s driving? He's lucky with his soul, my friend! her soul, which had been straining itself day after day for a whole week, not drinking enough, not eating enough, and still thinking: “Lord! I wish I had enough left over for salt and empty cabbage soup, so that I could die a Christian death and not starve to death like a dog!” Well, he came, sold his soul at the market... where do you think he took his money in the first place? In tax, my friend, in tax!
- However, Anna Markovna, you must agree that the treasury must live on something!
“I know, my friend, I know that paying taxes is the first thing, but that’s not what I’m talking to you about!” I say how the peasant is in pain, how his poor heart aches! And he will be cold, and he will not sleep enough, and he will be deceived, and he will be robbed! What should he do? tell me what to do about him?
- Still, there’s no reason to go to a tavern!
- Well, brother, I see that you only deliberately want to lead me into my heart! In, farewell better, God be with you!
- Well, come on, Anna Markovna! you see that I'm joking. If I hadn’t joked with you, you wouldn’t have disagreed like that, and I wouldn’t have known how men go to the market.
- Well, my friend, you need to know this life in order to talk about it, and even more so to confuse people with your speeches! Although I myself grew up as a merchant, I also grew up not far from this title. Once you begin to delve into it, you will also know, fortunately this science is not very sophisticated. And remember my words, remember this sign: when you look at our peasant, let your heart yearn for you, then say boldly: I know, they say, I am our Russian peasant, because I cannot look at him without pity! And he will be so dear to you, so dear, that even his torn thread will seem more beautiful than an unsewn robe!
Anna Markovna told a lot of things like this, and I never got tired of listening to her stories. She talked about how a Russian peasant is born, how he, like nettles on a fence, grows until he reaches the measure of reason; she said how a Russian peasant plows, harrows, mows, threshes, blows, and everything is lucky somewhere, everything is lucky! she told me how a Russian peasant dies meekly, submissively, earnestly... These stories did not inflame me, did not raise bitterness in me, but, on the contrary, they seemed to soften my heart. And it seems to me that there really were such moments in my life when, looking at a man, my heart began to yearn, and that I owe these moments to no one other than my dear Anna Markovna.
- Well, why do you love your “unlucky ones”? After all, it was not for their virtues that they became prisoners, but for their crimes!
- Yes, my friend, think a little, and you will see, perhaps, that the real criminals are not in prison, but here, between you and me, in the free world, they are having fun and being content!
This answer confused me somewhat. Of course, I thought, there are such answers... there are! But how could a simple-minded bourgeois woman from the city of Krutogorsk reach them? What kind of her own theory of insanity did she construct in her head? After all, with the help of external signs alone, which are only accessible to the level of development at which she was, it is impossible to come to such serious generalizations!
In reality, however, it turned out that vital questions, even the most sophisticated ones, are precisely those questions regarding which the simplest thought process and the most complex process very often converge and lead to the same results. The only condition in this case, which cannot be avoided, is that the thought should go straight, that it should not be carried away by twists and turns, and that it should honestly and within its power resolve the issues that are presented to its attention.
“What do you think,” Anna Markovna continues meanwhile, “is it because of satiety that a thief steals, or because of a good life that a robber takes to the road?” Or do you think a person is born a villain? So here they are - children! look at them! There’s a whole bunch of them here, turn them any way you want!
I look at the children, and in fact I am convinced that they are all so brave, kind and smart that it is impossible to even imagine that they would ever become villains and robbers. It is true that little Petya constantly wages a stubborn struggle with the old goat, who is basking in the sun near the stable, and even often offends the old man, but he has his own reasons for this.
- Auntie! Vaska doesn’t want to carry me! - he justifies himself every time Anna Markovna takes the side of the offended goat.
- But, my dear, he’s old! - his aunt admonishes him.
- Grandfather is also old, but he carries it!
In any case, this sign is not at all so decisive that conclusions can be drawn from it. And the life of Vaska the goat, in essence, is not at all bad: how many times a day the same bully Petya, having fun with him, will give him bread and milk...
“There are bonds, my friend, everywhere,” Anna Markovna continues her speech, “and how heavy... oh, how heavy these bonds are!” But it’s not easy to understand them, because we are looking for them in the wrong place where we should be looking, and we only run away from the grief that is staring us in the face! Do you think growing up under a fence is not a bond? To pound a big road with your feet - and that’s not a bond either? What a tavern! and theft, and robbery, and murder - after all, these, if you want, are not even just bonds, but bonds of all bonds! Here they are, our peasant bonds, maturing and maturing, and you are looking for them in prison and among the prisoners! After all, my friend, there is only one outcome, and just think about what paths and roads it took to get to this outcome!
And from the word Anna Markovna immediately moved on to examples, of which she knew many.
- But just try to approach him with affection, to the one whom you call a murderer, and you will see how his heart begins to turn over from mental anguish!
- And you probably tried it, Anna Markovna?
- I tried, sir, I’ll say without bragging: I tried more than once. There was, I’ll tell you, in our local prison there was a great sinner before God, his name was Vasily Topor. It’s impossible to say how many Christian souls this Vasyutka untimely destroyed. They read this, read how they took him to the scaffold - even the people seemed to be overcome with fear! And he stands there with his hands tied back to the post, and even his face hasn’t changed at all! And they began to bald him... I was here myself, my friend, and although this is not the first time for me to see these human passions, I was also surprised at how much courage he retained in his heart, even under the lashes! I just toss and turn home from the shopping area, as if drunk, and think: “Lord! Is there really such a person in the world who would not see your face! And then I decided to go to his hospital and console him...
Anna Markovna stopped and for several moments could not continue from excitement.
- So I came to see him in the hospital... You never know, we talked to each other a lot - our speeches are not complicated, my friend! - he just began to soften little by little. “Vasenka! - I say, “your heart, my friend, is hot, tame it, quench your harmful obstinacy!” He looked at me, and as if for the first time, something occurred to him. “You couldn’t stand your tight bonds, I say, you wanted to spread your great grief in the forests and along the roads!” “I couldn’t stand it,” he whispered. “And you, I say, should think what kind of bonds other Christians endure; maybe more bitter than yours! “It’s worse,” he says. And I see that he began to strain, and sweat began to appear on him. And suddenly it poured out. Just what grief it was, my friend, I can’t even express it to you! It’s not like crying or sobbing, but simply screaming!.. And he suffers... and suffers... So after this, the spots that were stained on his cheeks and on his forehead seemed more beautiful than an honest girlish blush!
I admit frankly, when I listened to this story, involuntary tears flowed from my eyes. I felt that I had suddenly become purer and better than I was before, and that, for all that, I was not worth an inch of this simple and sweet woman, whose voice, like an all-purifying furnace, knew how to penetrate the darkest recesses of the soul and reconcile with conscience of the most stubborn and hardened natures.
“So when you see enough of these examples,” she continued, “you will be ashamed to say about a person: what a thief!” and this one is a killer! After all, Christ melted the heart of a murderer, after all, he, father, went to hell... and we!
Anna Markovna has been gone for a long time, but I still bless her memory. I am convinced that I owe her most of the good feelings that I have. I could cite here many conversations with which we whiled away the long winter evenings; I could tell how she taught the children to walk a straight and honest path and not to deviate from it even under pain of death, but I prefer to return to this subject in a special story.
She died that very “peasant” death that she had spoken about so many times and which she had so much desired. One warm spring day, returning from church, she got her feet wet and caught a cold. In the evening I saw her again, and although there was a doctor there who forbade her to speak, she was such a talkative old lady that she could not help herself. The next day in the morning I found out that Anna Markovna had fallen asleep...
Mark Gavrilych is still alive, but because of his old age he doesn’t say anything, he just keeps crying. Seryozha, the eldest grandson, has reached twenty years of age and manages his grandfather’s capital, which, thanks to Anna Markovna’s virtue, has accumulated quite a lot. Often passing by a familiar house with three windows, I saw how in one of them the face of a pretty tradeswoman was smiling, its kind expression reminiscent of the face of a deceased auntie. I knew that this face belonged to Seryozha’s wife and that everyone in the house was happy, as if Anna Markovna’s eternally beloved shadow was still living in it and caring for everyone.

NOTES

Kind soul. For the first time - journal. "Domestic Notes", 1869, No. 3.
The story “A Kind Soul,” like the story “Anniversary,” is connected with Saltykov’s memories of the Vyatka exile, with its twentieth anniversary.
The image of the heroine of the story, Anna Markovna Glavshchikova, goes back to one of Saltykov’s Vyatka acquaintances. Previously, she was published in “Provincial Sketches” under the name of Pelageya Ivanovna. Saltykov always appreciated the influence of this “kind soul” on his spiritual development very highly. Anna Markovna’s sorrowful monologues about the peasant lot (echoing the speeches of Yakim Nagoy in Nekrasov’s “Who Lives Well in Rus'”) called on progressive youth to be imbued with the needs and sufferings of the people and turn to them with words of truth about their situation and true interests. The appearance and worldview of a simple woman, who in her “work of thought” had risen to the level of understanding the social conditioning of human moral life, convinced the reader-friend of the possibility and success of revolutionary educational work among the people.

Love is a delicate matter. Step by step we build a relationship with our soulmate, often making mistakes, but at the same time we learn from our own mistakes. Over time, much is erased from memory, but the most important memories remain with us forever.

Many people know the joke that you need to get yourself the animal in whose year you were born: a rat, a monkey, a pig. And the point of the joke is that someone needs to get themselves a dragon, and in comparison even a horse seems not so scary. I complained to my beloved that I was just born in the year of the Dragon and I couldn’t find a suitable pet for myself, I thought that he would smile, but he just said that he would find one for me, and disappeared for 2 weeks. And then he showed up with a one and a half meter dragon made of polymer clay, which he molded for me. So I learned 2 things: first, he, as it turned out, is an amazing sculptor, second, this is the person to whom I am ready to devote my whole life.

I always believed that a man should not run after a girl, a man should not allow a woman to sit on his neck, should not allow himself to be manipulated, and in general should always be the leader, the main one, the strong one. I thought so, and then I fell in love. For a year and a half now, I’ve been blowing off specks of dust from my girlfriend, I’m ready to run at night to a convenience store at night for chocolate or ice cream at her first request, I constantly massage her feet, help her cook, I always wash the dishes myself, I bring my beloved huge bouquets of flowers and gifts, I’m ready tolerate her being late and don’t even feel irritated.

My beloved and I have been dating since college. During her studies, she had big problems with English (the only C in her diploma). Now we are 20, and over the past year she has grown her hair (previously she only wore bobs), lost 9 kg and learned English, Polish, German and French! She said that she just wanted to change something. I joined the gym and started learning Swedish. She teaches me to live and breathe deeply. She is my ideal and my motivation.

I really love various things made using the patchwork technique: a blanket made from scraps, a gypsy-style skirt, handmade toys, etc. Recently I looked and my boyfriend had tiny wounds all over his fingers, he just waved off all the questions, saying it’s nonsense, do not pay attention. And yesterday I came home from work, and on my bed lay a big heart, sewn from hundreds of multi-colored pieces, somehow crooked, askew, but as soon as I imagine that my beloved was quietly sitting and making this beauty for me, clumsily wielding a needle, until it bled fingers, I understand that this is the most amazing gift of my entire life

My boyfriend and I quarrel periodically. After that, he is always the first to approach. I don’t have a very good character at all, and I also take a long time to leave. However, I try to work on myself, to erase this pride in the name of love. Recently we quarreled again, and I didn’t want to be the first to reconcile. I was afraid of jokes like “Oh, wow, who came here?” But she exhaled and went. You should have seen these surprised and happy eyes. No jokes or malice. I just said thank you and hugged you. I realized how important it is to transgress through yourself and how much I love him.

My girlfriend is a senior flight attendant. And every time we approach our house by car, I start to slow down, change lanes to the right, and she looks at me and says her catchphrase: “Ladies and gentlemen, our plane has begun to descend, make sure that the seat backs , seat belts and curtains... in the right position..." And at this moment I feel like a cool pilot of some Boeing and how I will now “stick” this colossus to the ground with an important look. And then I so slowly and carefully get into the parking space, and she keeps babbling so that the passengers, they say, don’t get up until the aircraft comes to a complete stop. I love her madly.

Many of my friends talk about how their boyfriends do beautiful things for them: they give them large bouquets of roses, draw messages for them on the asphalt, write poems and climb into their windows. But my beloved doesn’t do any of this. He simply fixed everything that was broken in my house. He helps me with my studies. I'm studying to be a designer, and therefore I have to draw, draw and glue layouts a lot. Since I can’t keep up with everything, he glues them for me, clumsily but diligently. He gives me his last money so that I can buy a gift for my mother’s birthday. And at these moments I am the happiest girl in the world. No one has ever loved me like that. My friends say that I need too little.

I love my husband. Common interests, fun evenings in the kitchen, intimate conversations. But sometimes I withdraw into myself, stop smiling and answer his questions at length. Then he just quietly packs up his laptop, a pair of replacement socks and underpants, kisses me on the neck and goes to his mother for a couple of days. And I open a bottle of wine, cook dinner for one person, turn on my favorite movie and begin to love it even more.

I’m lying in a hospital room with my grandmother, born in 1945. Her husband sends her voice messages every evening on her smartphone (!), but she listens to them loudly, since she cannot speak quietly. And he says to her every day: “Good night, my dear...” They have been married for 54 years.

My husband is a pilot, there is no schedule, flights at any time of the day or night (more often than night), and I have a standard five-day work schedule from 9:00 to 18:00. I always get up to kiss him and wave through the window. I’m standing in the hallway, sleepy, with a creative mess on my head, wrapped in a thick terry robe, with the same disheveled and sleepy cat in my arms - a chuchundra, in general. And he recently said that it is at these moments that he especially understands how much he loves me.

I was riding in a minibus today and saw a rather nice picture. At one of the stops an elderly couple stopped. Grandma sat down in an empty seat, and grandpa stood next to her. I stood up to make room for him. When I invited him to sit down, grandfather smiled very sweetly and said: “Thank you, granddaughter, sit and sit. I don’t go far from her, otherwise I’ll completely lose my beloved,” and, smiling, stroked her hair. I almost shed a tear there.

It's my birthday. The young man, as usual, left for the bus at 11:50 p.m. He apologized that he couldn’t be the first to congratulate him, but he would send an SMS. At 00:00 an SMS comes from him with the text: “Happy birthday.” I'm just typing the same touching answer when I hear a knock on the door. I open it. My miracle comes in with a bunch of balls! He stands with these balls, reads a poem, his voice trembles, he worries. Congratulations. He reminded me of a child telling a poem for the first time at a matinee. And it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I was washing dishes at my boyfriend's house. The mug slipped out of my hands when I was wiping it dry and broke. I thought that now the guy would say something. But in fact, he picked me up, carried me over the fragments, carried me out of the kitchen, then collected all the fragments and vacuumed them. And he said it was just a mug, no big deal.

My young man is, as they say, slanting fathoms in the shoulders - 205 cm tall, and he has an absolutely stony expression on his face. Everyone considers him uncommunicative and stern, and only I know that more than anything else he loves hugs, although with his height it is very inconvenient. My height is only 165 cm, but I am ready to stand on a stool many times a day and hug him to see sincere joy and a satisfied smile.

My husband and I took out a car on credit. We are not fans of loans and decided to pay off as quickly as possible, within a year. The amount of payments was decent. They paid, but there was no money left for summer vacation. Vacation time is approaching, and the husband holds out air tickets to Crimea. He says we’re flying on a budget, I only have 40 thousand, I found a small house by the sea for 15. He’s been taking part-time jobs in recent months to save up. And it was the best vacation, better than Italy and Goa. We swam, cooked in the summer kitchen, and went to the mountains. She came back pregnant and happy!

My wife is pregnant, and I rush around with her like a chicken and an egg. I come home from work, and she sits on the sofa, devouring herring with onions and snacking on chocolate-covered strawberries. I was not surprised - I was already used to it, but suddenly she invited me to share a meal with her, because “My dear, try it! This is absolutely delicious!” And when I told her that I physically couldn’t eat it, she burst into tears and began to say that no one understood or appreciated her. I was so scared that I ate this mixture with her and didn’t even choke.

“I thought you were different,” men sometimes leave our lives with such words. And we can either shed tears alone or complain to our friends about our hard lot and heartless men.

After such outright defeats on the love front, a woman needs more than one week to restore her peace of mind. After all, with such phrases, a man destroys our self-esteem, as well as self-confidence as a woman. And a painful question is spinning in my head: “What did I do wrong?”

The whole world is a theater...

Yes, everyone has already heard about this. We play roles every day. We have scenes called “home”, “study”, “work”, “on vacation”, “on a date”. And for each scene there is its own role and its own mask. We try to create our own special and unique image, and we sincerely want this image to be loved.

The bouquet-candy period in a relationship is very insidious. There is always a place for illusion and self-deception in it. When meeting a new person, you want to play around a little, pretend, to be better, in the end. At first, men also invent us for themselves, endowing us with non-existent traits. Then, when the euphoria of first love wears off, a period of disappointment begins. In the worst case, this leads to separation. At best, people have to get to know each other again and learn to love what they really are. But the latter is more the exception than the rule.

A man wants to see a certain image and a woman with whom he will be as comfortable as possible, and who will inspire and delight him. This is the main secret of compatibility. If you really fit the image in a man’s head, and he fits into your ideas about a “prince on a white horse,” then this already provides solid ground and a foundation for a long and sustainable relationship.

The magic mirror gives the answer...

Here you need to ask natural questions: “What needs to be done to avoid the pain of separation? How to understand what kind of woman he needs? What does he want me to be like?

Paradoxical as it may seem, all the answers can be found in a consultation with a tarot reader.

I remember one remarkable case when a woman came to me who wanted to know “What does her lover want her to be like?” This is a very mature and healthy approach to relationships. After all, one wrong action, the wrong presentation of oneself can forever extinguish the nascent flame of love. After analyzing the symbolism with the lasso, it became clear to me that a man needs a businesslike and practical woman, but who is not alien to social life. And the feeling of understatement, a slight veil of mystery over his beloved will further aggravate his feelings.

Tarot cards, in particular the Manara deck, are often perceived by me as that same magic mirror from a fairy tale, always giving an honest answer to the question “For him... Am I the sweetest in the world?”

Modern queens may or may not like this answer. However, imagine what pain and disappointment one single piece of advice will save you from at the right time.

Has a similar situation ever happened to you? What did you do? What were the results? Express your opinion in the comments.
