System 4 of 8. Types of sports bets: single, express, system

The betting system is not as popular among bookmaker players as the express system. It's a more complicated calculation. In this article on the “Bookmaker Rating” we will look at what the system is, how it is calculated and how to place a bet on the system.

The system is a combined bet consisting of express bets. Unlike an ordinary express bet, the system can win even if individual selections in a combination are lost.

The main characteristic of the system is its dimension. It is written in two numbers. For example, "3 out of 4". This means that the system consists of 4 selections, which are combined into parlays of 3 selections each. That is, there will be 4 combinations, and at least 3 selections must win for the entire system to win. The bet amount is distributed equally among all possible combinations in the system.

How is the bet system calculated?

For example, let’s take the already mentioned “3 out of 4” system. Let's say you bet 1000 rubles on it and chose the following events for it:

  • Chelsea will beat Atlético Madrid 2,0 ;
  • PSG will beat Bayern for 2,6 ;
  • Milan will beat Rijeka for 2,14 ;
  • Lokomotiv will be stronger than Fastav for 1,6 .

As we have already discussed above, in the “3 out of 4” system there will be 4 express bets with 3 selections each. A bet of 1000 rubles is divided equally into 4 combinations, that is, 250 rubles for each.

Let's say we won elections No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4. This means that in our system one combination of these selections won. We calculate the payment amount:

(2.0 x 2.14 x 1.6)x 250 = 6.848 x 250 = 1,712 rubles

With a payment of 1,712 rubles, our net profit is 712 rubles. Not much, right? But if you were to put those 4 picks together in a regular parlay, the bet would lose. However, if 2 or more selections lose in our system, the bet will lose entirely. Because each of the four combinations in the system will be a loser.

Now let's see what happens if all four events win in our system:

(2.0 x 2.6 x 2.14) x 250 + (2.0 x 2.6 x 1.6) x 250 + (2.0 x 2.14 x 1.6) x 250 + (2 .6 x 2.14 x 1.6) x 250 = 11.128 x 250 + 8.32 x 250 + 6.848 x 250 + 8.902 x 250 = 2782 + 2080 + 1712 + 2225.5 = 8799.5 rubles

With a payment of 8800 rubles, our net profit will be 7800 rubles.

What would happen if you bet these 4 selections as a regular winning accumulator? We count:

(2.0 x 2.14 x 1.6 x 2.6) x 1000 = 17.805 x 1000 = 17,805 rubles

The difference is impressive. But that's the price you pay for insurance against losing individual picks in your combination bet.

What are the limitations when creating a system?

The general restrictions that bookmakers have for betting systems are almost exactly the same. The point is that in the system is prohibited from collecting duplicate and interrelated events. You won’t be able to take more than one pick from the same match, and you won’t be able to bet on the same team winning or advancing further in a playoff match. Of course, you won’t be able to take identical elections into the system either.

But the system also has a general limitation that does not apply to regular express trains. It's that the system must consist of at least 3 elections.

Some restrictions vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. Let's look at them using the example of the most popular Russian companies:

  • maximum number of selections in the system: “League of Betting” and “Fonbet” – 16, “Winline” – 20;
  • maximum possible winning odds: “Winline” – 5000.0. If the established threshold is exceeded, then the calculation will still be carried out according to it;
  • maximum number of combinations in the system: “Betting League” – 1001;
  • minimum bet amount per system: “Winline” – 100 rubles, “Fonbet” – from 50 to 1001 rubles, depending on the size of the system.

How to make a bet system?

We will assemble the system as an example on the website.

First, look at all the system size options that this bookmaker offers us and study the number of combinations in them.

Now we go to the bookmaker’s website and click on the selections that we want to add to the system. Let's say you have your eye on events from different sports:

  • Celtic to beat Anderlecht in 1.85;
  • Real Madrid will beat Tottenham in 1.48;
  • Salavat Yulaev will beat Dynamo for 1.96;
  • “San Antonio” will leave no chance to “Oklahoma” for 3.75.

Have you chosen? We look at the right side of the screen, where all your selections are shown. Next, click on the desired bet type – express/system. Next you need to decide on the bet amount.

Another disadvantage is that the player does not know in advance the amount that he will receive in his hands if he wins the bet. You can calculate the options, but nothing more. Wherein the payout under the system may be less than the original bet amount. In other words, you will win the bet but lose some money.

The system reduces your risks, but the maximum payout for it is also lower than for an express bet from the same selections. This is exactly how bookmakers position the system. If you are tired of making single bets, want to win a lot at once on a combination of several events, but are not ready for the all-or-nothing approach, try the system. But it is absolutely clear that a professional will never place a bet if he is not sure of his advantage over the bookmaker, so the system is not compatible with playing for a plus at a distance.

Betting options from bookmaker lines can be combined with each other, thus forming different types of bets. They differ from each other both in the number of outcomes and in the method of calculation. Single, express and system are the most common types of bets. We’ll tell you more about each of them: what they are and what rules bookmakers use to calculate them.

Ordinary (or single)

The most common type of bet among bookmaker clients. This is simply a single bet, which includes the expected outcome of only one event. The player selects an event in a line with a certain odds, makes a bet and, if the choice is successful, receives his winnings. The winning amount will be equal to the product of the bet amount and the odds.

Example of calculating an ordinary

For example, in the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid, you decided to bet 1000 rubles on Barcelona’s victory: the bookmaker offered this option with odds of 2.0. If Barcelona actually win, you receive a payout equal to 2000 rubles, since the bet amount is multiplied by the coefficient (1000 x 2 = 2000). If Barcelona lost, then the bet on its victory also lost.

The advantage of this type of bet is considered to be its simplicity and relative reliability, because unlike other types, here it is necessary to correctly predict only one outcome in a single match. The disadvantage of an ordinary bet is that it has a lower coefficient compared to an express bet or a system bet.

Express

An “express” bet is a combination of single bets: it includes several outcomes predicted by the player (there can be two or more). Clients of bookmakers love such bets primarily for high odds, since when calculating an express bet, the odds of all outcomes are multiplied.

Express calculation example

Let's say for your express bet you predicted the outcomes of three football matches:

  • victory of Barcelona with odds of 2.0 in the match Barcelona - Real Madrid;
  • Arsenal's victory with odds of 2.0 in the Arsenal - Tottenham match;
  • victory of Juventus with odds of 2.0 in the match Juventus - Milan.

The total coefficient of such an express bet will be 8.0 (2 x 2 x 2 = 8). If every event in this express bet wins, you will receive the winnings exactly at odds of 8 (the bet size will be multiplied by 8). However, if at least one selection in the parlay loses, the entire parlay bet loses.

Obviously, with each event added to the express we increase the overall odds, but reduce the likelihood that all selected events will win.

Many novice players make express bets from the so-called “sure bets”, that is, from a large number of events with very low odds: it seems that all of them will certainly win, and the overall odds turn out to be quite “beautiful”. In fact, a low odds are not a guarantee of winning, and clear favorites may lose. And more often than a novice client of a bookmaker’s office, who has not yet learned how to fully analyze an event, might assume. Accordingly, drawing up huge express bets in the vast majority of cases is the path to numerous and regular losses.

Express bets can be used in various gaming strategies. For example, one of the fairly popular strategies in football betting is called “27 express bets”. It is intended for making express bets from bets on the exact score in several matches. It is believed that 27 express bets cover all the most likely options for exact scores, and even if 26 such express bets lose, then one must win, and this will justify everything, since the odds for the exact score are quite high even individually, and even more so in an express bet.

More details about the strategy:

Please note that bookmakers may impose a limit on the number of possible events in an express bet, or limit the maximum possible winning odds. Express bets are generally not allowed to include interdependent events.

Which is better: regular or express? There is no clear answer to this question. Of course, a long express is a higher coefficient, and if you do not make a mistake with the correctness of the outcomes in it, the winnings will also be much larger than with the same outcomes in single bets, that is, separately. However, experienced players will prefer single in most cases. As a last resort, they will choose an express bet from 2-3 events, because the fewer outcomes in the express bet, the greater the chance that all of them will be winning.

System

What does the betting system mean? This type of bet may appeal to those who are worried that one of the events in the express will “not arrive”, and because of this the entire express will lose.

A system is a combination of express bets of a given size from a predetermined number of events. Each combination in the system is calculated as a separate express bet. You place a certain bet on several events included in the express, and indicate the dimension of the system (for example, 2 out of 3, 3 out of 4, etc. will play).

If all events win, you win with multiplied (using a special formula) odds. The overall coefficient here is significantly less than in the express bet. But if one or more bets lose, you still have a chance to remain in the black or at least return part of the bet.

Let's explain how this works using an example: let's calculate the 3/5 (three out of five) betting system.

Calculation example for system 3/5

This system means going through all the betting options for 3 outcomes in an express bet from the selected 5 events. Suppose you have chosen the outcome options, and the total bet amount for the entire system is 10,000 rubles. In fact, 10 separate bets are made (10 possible combinations with variants of events in the accumulator) - 10 triple express bets. The bet size for each express bet is 1/10 of the total bet amount, and each express bet in the system is calculated as a separate bet. That is, your system is, as it were, divided into 10 express bets - 1,000 rubles each.

Option Events included in express Express odds Bet amount per option Payout per option
1 1 + 2 + 3 1.6*3.3*4.5 = 23.76 1 000 23 760
2 1 + 2 + 4 1.6*3.3*2.0 = 10.56 1 000 10 560
3 1 + 2 + 5 1.6*3.3*1.2 = 6.34 1 000 6 340
4 1 + 3 + 4 1.6*4.5*2.0 = 14.40 1 000 14 400
5 1 + 3 + 5 1.6*4.5*1.2 = 8.64 1 000 8 640
6 1 + 4 + 5 1.6*2.0*1.2 = 3.84 1 000 3 840
7 2 + 3 + 4 3.3*4.5*2.0 = 29.70 1 000 29 700
8 2 + 3 + 5 3.3*4.5*1.2 = 17.82 1 000 17 820
9 2 + 4 + 5 3.3*2.0*1.2 = 7.92 1 000 7 920
10 3 + 4 + 5 4.5*2.0*1.2 = 10.80 1 000 10 800

As you can see from the table, playing with the system allows you not to lose the bet 10,000 rubles in any development of events: the player either remains in the black or gets back part of the bet amount. Depending on the type of system and the number of events included in the express bets, the number of required combinations changes. So, if we bet the 2/3 system (two out of three), then we will only have to bet three combinations of express bets. If we choose a system, for example, 3/8 (three out of eight), then the required number of combinations will already be 56, and the total bet amount should be significantly larger.

When collecting large express bets with high odds, often as luck would have it, only one event does not take place and all the money placed on the bet is burned. To avoid just such cases, you should pay close attention to system type bets. Today, most players simply have no idea about the existence of this type of bet, and it is quite difficult to find information about this type of bet on the Internet. Only a few domestic bookmakers offer this type of bet. Let's look at what system bets are, how to make them and what they are.

What is betting type system?

System bet- this is a modernized/hybrid type of express train, which contains a combination of express trains of a given size from a predetermined number of events. Each combination will be calculated as a separate express bet.

The main difference between system bets and express bets is that winning does not require all outcomes to be correct. However, you need to understand that with a system-type bet, the player’s profit if he wins will be much lower than in an express bet, since here the bookmaker’s margin is even higher.

An example of calculating a system type rate

Register and get a bonus

Let's consider one of the systems that the bookmaker Fonbet offers to bet on. For example, let’s take system 3 out of 5. There will be 5 events in this system, imagine that they look like this:

The entire set of options for this system, taking into account the fact that the entire amount of the system will be 100 rubles, will look like this:

Option Events included in express Express odds Bet amount per option Payout per option
1 1 + 2 + 3 1.6*3.3*4.5=23.76 10 237
2 1 + 2 + 4 1.6*3.3*2.0=10.56 10 105
3 1 + 2 + 5 1.6*3.3*1.2= 6.34 10 63
4 1 + 3 + 4 1.6*4.5*2.0=14.40 10 144
5 1 + 3 + 5 1.6*4.5*1.2= 8.64 10 86
6 1 + 4 + 5 1.6*2.0*1.2= 3.84 10 38
7 2 + 3 + 4 3.3*4.5*2.0=29.70 10 297
8 2 + 3 + 5 3.3*4.5*1.2=17.82 10 178
9 2 + 4 + 5 3.3*2.0*1.2= 7.92 10 79
10 3 + 4 + 5 4.5*2.0*1.2=10.80 10 108

Thus, it turns out that 10 triple express bets will be made, between which the total bet amount will be distributed evenly.
