Flights with transfers are usually cheaper than direct flights. But they also have some inconveniences: the likelihood of flight delays increases, and you have to wait at the airport for a flight with your children for some time. However, if you select flights so that the difference between them is minimal and you are sure of the presence of a children's playground in the transit area, everything may not be at all scary.

Up to 2 years of age, airfare for an infant costs almost nothing (unless you decide to take a separate seat for him). If you fly before your child’s second birthday and arrive after, many airlines will also calculate both flights at the price of “up to two years” - this point must be clarified separately with the selected company.

You can fly with a discount company. Discounters or low-cost airlines are airlines that offer the lowest possible prices with a minimum of additional services: the price initially does not include food, insurance, luggage, this can be purchased separately - if you want. For example, in Germany, with a weekend ticket (Wochenendticket), for 40 € you can travel with five people during the day in any direction on trains of not the fastest class. 4. Food

When ordering unfamiliar food, you will never know whether your child will eat it. You can order dishes for children first. If they don’t, take them something else and taste what you ordered yourself. Or, if you find that the portions are huge, you can divide what you ordered among everyone. You will (almost) always have time to order something else.

Bring a food storage container with you. Half-eaten pasta or French fries can serve as an excellent afternoon snack a couple of hours later, when the baby suddenly realizes that he forgot to eat during lunch.

In supermarkets in many countries (both European and Asian) you can buy ready-made food. Moreover, you can gradually get used to the store’s routine: in the evening there are often very pleasant discounts on various goods that you won’t be able to sell the next day - say, cakes or bread.

When staying in modest hotels, do not count on a kettle in the room. But you can take a very small boiler with you and calmly drink tea in the evenings, without fear of leaving sleeping children in the room and saving the money that would be charged for a cup of tea in the restaurant opposite.

5. Entertainment

Museums. Tickets to museums can be family tickets (for several people) or including visits to several points - it’s like a discount for wholesale. For example, with the London Pass you can visit about 55 different London attractions (cost: from £50 to £100 for 1-6 days). When booking accommodation in Sochi, you need to make sure that the hotel or boarding house has been operating reliably and confidently in the resort housing market for quite a long time. The key to success will be numerous reviews (necessarily over several years), allowing you to imagine all the conveniences and inconveniences of the option.

There are plenty of attractions and entertainment for children in Sochi and the region. There are water parks, playgrounds, and opportunities for sports. The only negative is the cost of all these services. On the Black Sea coast, all resort services are very expensive.

The health resort, known since ancient times, recently became part of Russia again. Traditionally, this region could not be considered one of the most budget-friendly, but you can relax at sea with a child inexpensively here too.

The undoubted advantages of the peninsula include a unique warm climate, an abundance of attractions of various kinds, as well as a fairly developed infrastructure of the peninsula. Despite numerous political and economic problems, the tourist season here is a sacred time and visiting tourists should not experience any inconvenience. The level of service here is not high, but the sea, beaches and entertainment are the best for families with children.

A modest room in a family hotel in Alushta (10 minutes by bus to the beach) can be found from 12 euros (breakfast - 2 euros). It is better to take everything you need with you: from toys to medicines. Don't count on hotel owners especially. But it’s always worth remembering that it’s almost impossible to find a holiday by the sea with children cheaper than in Russia.
