Alexander himself announced this on one of his pages on social networks. In September 2018, the singer announced the release of his new album entitled “Fire Girl”. Before that, his last albums were called “Blatnaya”, “E-album”, “Break up with her”, “I remember, my love...”, “Ponty Amur”. His collection “Hooligan Songs” was also published, which included the most popular hits from the past work of the hero of our article and fresh musical compositions.

Alexander grew up in a strict, intelligent family. His mother was mainly involved in his upbringing; his father spent all his time at work. An avid theatergoer, she taught her son to high art from the age of three.

The first production they attended was "Unknown Man with a Tail." At the age of seven, Novikov was sent to study drumming and singing at a music school. Studying was very easy for the boy, which allowed him to complete it as an external student.

After receiving his matriculation certificate, Alexander announced his desire to enter a theater university. The head of the family was categorically against this, because he hoped that his son would follow in his footsteps and become a doctor. Several days of scandals, shouting and indignation overcame reason, and Alexander courageously defended his dream.

The choice of educational institution fell on the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. The entrance exams were passed, Alexander became a student in the workshop of the outstanding artist and director Igor Vladimirov.

Novikov quickly found a common language with his supervisor and classmates. So, student life was in full swing. In 1990, Alexander received his diploma.

Debut roles on the theater stage and in cinema

After graduating from LGITMiK, Novikov was sent to work at the Lenkom Theater, where he worked under the supervision of his creative mentor from the university. The young artist played in the following productions: “The Players”, “Leopold’s Birthday”, “Baby”, “Doors Slam”. In the children's play "Carlson" he played the main, well-fed character in the prime of his life.

On the Lenkom stage, Alexander was seen in various images, from fairy-tale characters to animals: a dog, a lion, a dragon, a cat. The first full-fledged role played by an open and good-natured artist was Ivan Vasilyevich Lomov in the production of “Chekhov. Vaudeville." This work consisted of excerpts from famous plays by A.P. Chekhov: “The Proposal”, “Anniversary”, “On the Harm of Tobacco”.

In parallel with his theatrical activities, Novikov actively acts in films.. For the first time on a television screen, Alexander appeared in the historical film “The Tsar’s Hunt,” based on the novel of the same name by Leonid Zorin. Then there were small roles in such films: “Bitter”, “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, “Memories of Sherlock Holmes”, “Deadly Force”, “Vovochka”.

Real popularity fell on Novikov after the release of the television series “The Secret of the Investigation.” The image of detective Fedya Kurochkin appealed to many television viewers, especially women. The partner in the film was the charming actress Anna Kovalchuk, with whom Alexander already had the honor of playing on the stage. In all 16 seasons of this legendary serial film, Novikov’s hero develops and continues to amuse the audience.
