“Putin is an icon for them.” Children draw the President of Russia

The Moscow organization "Resource Center "Charity Infrastructure" announced a children's drawing competition. Children from 5 to 17 years old were asked to draw the current president of the country, Vladimir Putin. Works were accepted until the end of 2017. In the voting (the winner will be determined by the number of likes) 440 drawings involved(commenting on portraits of the president is prohibited). We looked through the drawings that passed the competitive selection and collected the best, in our opinion, images of the president.

Putin saves Russia

The main motive of children's drawings is that the country will have a hard time without Vladimir Putin. He takes care of grandmothers, stays in yurts, protects the state from external enemies and leads the nation to a bright future.

There's war all around

Participants of the competition are children from 5 to 17 years old. Some probably had parents helping them. In the drawings you can see a reflection of Russian rhetoric - on the one hand, the president is for world peace, on the other, he is ready to smash his enemies and build a huge state.

“Thank you for a happy childhood!”

Believer Putin

Another side of the president is religiosity. The head of state often attends services in churches, communicates with Patriarch Kirill and tries to instill faith in his immediate circle - Dmitry Medvedev and his wife and other representatives of the top government visit churches.

The organizers of the competition will print out the best drawings and send them to the presidential administration as a gift for the inauguration of the new elected head of state.

Let us remind you that on March 18, Russians will vote for the leader of the country for the next six years. It is not yet clear what the organizers of the “Children Draw President Putin” competition will do if, for example, Pavel Grudinin or Vladimir Zhirinovsky becomes the new leader.

On March 18, residents of the Russian Federation will choose not only the head of state, but also the winner of a drawing competition depicting Vladimir Putin.

The conditions of the competition are not too complicated: children and teenagers aged 5 to 17 were invited to creatively portray the current President Vladimir Putin. Drawings in standard A4 format were asked to be made without the help of computer programs or applications - with simple or colored pencils, pens, felt-tip pens, brushes or wax crayons.

The prospects for the competition leaders, who are to be selected through online voting, sound quite tempting:
“Five Winners will be selected. They will receive valuable Prizes and Diplomas, and also, if Vladimir Putin is elected for a new term, they will be able to congratulate him on his victory by presenting him with their drawings. The winners' works will be enlarged, framed on a hard surface and sent to the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation by May 2018 (for the inauguration ceremony). You can attach your letter of appeal to the gift.”

The organizer of this all-Russian competition is the Information Agency “Resource Center “Charity Infrastructure”.

The “raspberry” is slightly spoiled by the fact that participation in the competition is paid; those wishing to compete in the image of the president are asked to pay 400 rubles to the account of individual entrepreneur Sergei Alexandrovich Volodin or transfer them to a Sberbank card.
Participants in previous Charity Infrastructure competitions, as well as those involved in raising children with disabilities or orphans, receive a 100 ruble discount.

Applications and registration fees were accepted until December 22, and children's drawings themselves - until January 12. The children's works are posted in the social network group "VKontakte" Drawings of the Competition "CHILDREN DRAW PRESIDENT PUTIN!"

The works presented here turned out to be quite diverse: both brightly colorful and in a strict monochrome style. The children depicted the current head of state surrounded by children or animals, posing in dark glasses or playing sports. There are drawings that are surprisingly reminiscent of Soviet-era posters, or captivating with their childish spontaneity...

And then it turns out that the organizers of the competition provided the following method for selecting the best works: “You can vote for the drawing by clicking “like” - until March 18, 2018.”
That is, on the very day of the presidential election, as well as on the “day of silence” preceding it?

The closer the 2018 presidential elections are, the more creativity supporters of the current head of state have. In schools they draw leaflets on the topic of elections, TV people they select teenagers to star in election videos, and on social networks they decide who will win All-Russian competition"Children draw President Putin."

The organizers of the latest event guarantee that there will be no losers: all participants will receive a set of patriotic paraphernalia in the form of badges with the Russian tricolor and an image of the GDP itself. The five winners will receive not only valuable prizes and diplomas. “If Vladimir Putin is elected for a new term, they will be able to congratulate him on his victory by presenting him with their drawings,” the competition regulations say, and “they can also attach their letter of appeal to the drawing.”

This competition was invented by the head of Charity Infrastructure Sergei Volodin. He says that the project itself has nothing to do with the upcoming presidential elections and is certainly not propaganda, since its goal is “to creatively portray the current President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin” and he came up with it a year ago. Children from 5 to 17 years old can take part in the competition; the winners will be determined by open voting on the Internet, which will end on March 18, 2018.

A total of 450 drawings were sent to the competition. Volodin says that he thought that there would be many more of them, for example, more than seven thousand drawings were submitted to another drawing competition, “The Red Book by Children’s Hands,” which is also now taking place.

To be honest, there are few stories with Putin: mostly children depict him against the background of the Russian flag.

Or the Kremlin wall.

Or is it just a portrait, without any extra background.

In hundreds of portraits drawn by children and submitted to the All-Russian competition, VVP hardly ever smiles. As a rule, he is strict and decisive, ready to give the right order at the right moment, for example, as in the drawing of 13-year-old Serafima Chapova.

However, there are other works that show that Putin is not only a symbol of state power, but everything human is also not alien to him. Judging by them, Russian children are aware of the hobbies of the current president. Many of them know that Putin loves fishing very much, and therefore they willingly depict him either with a fishing rod on the shore or with a pike already caught.

He is also interested in skiing.

Putin loves animals, plays hockey, builds a great Russia and the Crimean Bridge, presents awards, meets with ordinary citizens and hosts the World Cup. All these stories, drawn by children, are presented at the competition.

“Personally, I really like all the creative works sent to the competition,” says Volodin. – We didn’t ask for any explanations from the guys like why they love Putin or why they consider him a good president. This is my personal idea and it has not been coordinated with the presidential administration. We did not promise that the winners would be able to meet with Putin if he wins the new elections, but we will definitely give him the large printed works of the winners.

The organizer of the competition assures that despite the fact that the competition he is conducting will end exactly on election day, it has nothing to do with election campaigning. “Putin is the current president, he did not relinquish his powers during the campaign, so how should we act if we really want to sum up his work?” – Volodin is surprised. However, even the Central Election Commission drew attention to the “unchildish” activity of children during the presidential campaign. The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, demanded that students from Russian schools be stopped from being involved in election events. According to her, employees of the Central Election Commission collected information about all known facts of illegal campaigning.

However, you can only draw Putin

As a rule, such events are held under a completely plausible pretext. Like, for example, in one of the schools in Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region. The competition was called “I draw elections, I make my choice”, draw, however, it turned out Only Putin is possible, says deputy of the regional legislative assembly Alexander Ivachev. When one of the students drew a picture of the Communist Party candidate Pavel Grudinin, she received a harsh scolding from her teacher; the deputy had already sent a complaint about this to the prosecutor’s office.

– Panfilova’s statement can be seen as an indirect condemnation of the involvement of children in election campaigning, although the organizers of such competitions will say that there is no campaigning here. It’s possible that they decided that these children’s drawings were the easiest way to attract Putin’s attention. Maybe all this is intended for just one viewer. But Putin definitely didn’t ask for this, the head of the Political Expert Group is sure Konstantin Kalachev.

According to the political scientist, Putin and children are a very electoral topic.

Children love Putin, parents love children. At the exit - parents voting for Putin

– Love for children is what unites us all. In the search for unifying values, the first thing that comes to mind is the attitude towards children. In a country where the majority of voters participating in elections are middle-aged and older women, the theme of a candidate’s love for children is a win-win, he explains. – But this is a different story. Here is the theme of children’s love for Putin. Two-touch approach - children love Putin, parents love children. The result is parents voting for Putin. As my mother says: “Son, I will vote for Putin so that everything will be fine for you and your children.” And the two-year-old son, pointing to the photo of his dad, says: “Putin!” In fact, the drawing competition is a background and mobilization project. They don’t just draw there, there is also a continuation associated with voting day - a promise that the children’s drawings and letters of appeal will reach the president himself.

Famous cartoonist Alexey Merinov says that after viewing these children's drawings, he “urgently wanted to drink to his happy childhood.”

I feel slightly envious and worried about the appearance in the near future of a whole galaxy of talented cartoonists-rivals

– Because none of the then “political instructors and political officers” could have even dreamed of organizing such a circus - giving children Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev’s “dear comrade” to be torn to pieces. I can imagine how the country would laugh at dozens of involuntarily drawn cartoons with eyebrows,” explains the artist. “On the other hand, I feel slightly envious and worried about the appearance in the near future, if this continues, of a whole galaxy of talented cartoonists-rivals.” On Facebook they ask you the question: “What are you thinking about?” I would like to repeat it, changing it quite a bit: “What are you thinking there?” However, I received a lot of positive emotions and looked at these masterpieces in an excellent mood.

Another famous cartoonist Sergey Elkin says that he has a negative attitude towards such children's competitions. “Some proactive officials are trying to show their loyalty at the expense of children,” says Elkin.

Child psychologist Olga Makhovskaya Having studied the competition entries, I came to the conclusion that Putin is like an icon for children, a symbol in itself, a non-living model.

Putin is depicted alone, without family, with no one around him

– When working with children, we often ask them to draw pictures of their family; from these works it is immediately clear which of the adults occupies what place in the child’s life, without whom he cannot imagine his life. In almost all competition entries, Putin is depicted alone, without a family, there is no one around him, these children participating in the competition are not nearby, they can’t even imagine themselves next to Putin, this upset me most of all, for a psychologist this says a lot, he says Makhovskaya (out of 450 drawings there are less than a dozen in which Putin is not alone - RS). – I saw similar portraits in prisons in the form of tattoos on convicts; such a design on their chest or arm means some kind of involvement in the election of the main “boss.”

According to Makhovskaya, the choice of topics for the drawings, in most cases probably suggested by parents or teachers, shows that for them the president has long become more of a rhetorical figure than remains a living person.

“There are no simple children’s drawings like “Putin and I are drinking tea,” or playing a computer game or lotto together, but in theory there could be a lot of them, children love such stories,” says the psychologist. – In almost all of the submitted works, Putin is devoid of his psychological characteristics; he is an absolute authority, even a mask. To be honest, I can’t imagine what I myself would tell my child to motivate him to participate in such a competition... As a child psychologist, it would be interesting for me to see what will happen to these children in 10 years, where they will end up, they will be whether they support the ruling party or, on the contrary, leave Russia.

The organizer of the “Children Draw President Putin” competition, Sergei Volodin, says that the works sent to the competition inspired him to a new idea. “Closer to the fall, we will announce another all-Russian competition - we will invite children to draw outstanding contemporaries, even the most interesting is who they will send. So, we can say that the competition for the best drawing of Putin will be the beginning of a new gallery of heroes of our time,” he explains.

“STANISLAV KULABUKHOV, 7 YEARS OLD, BIKIN, KHABAROVSK REGION:
friends Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev are always together"

The All-Russian children's competition “Draw the Future President” was announced by Express Gazeta before the New Year holidays. Over the past time, almost a thousand children's drawings and letters have come to the editorial office. Our little readers are asking Dmitry MEDVEDEV to win the presidential election and get himself a cat or dog, like Vladimir PUTIN, so that he has someone to play with after work.

Judging by the drawings that came to the editorial office, the personality of Dmitry Anatolyevich had long been of interest to the competition participants. They know that in his youth the First Deputy Prime Minister was fond of weightlifting and listened to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Some even know his favorite song, “Kentucky Woman.” But what attracts most attention is his participation in the development of social projects - the construction of affordable housing, the revival of agriculture and solving the problem of the birth rate.

“SOFIA NAPOLSKAYA, 11 YEARS OLD, UFA:
everyone votes for Medvedev"

The children are amazed at how he manages to do everything and praise Vladimir Putin for choosing a worthy successor.

For example, Ksyusha Oboznaya from the city of Valuyski, Belgorod region, expressed confidence that Dmitry Medvedev will be a good president, because Vladimir Putin, a person whom all Russians trust, trusts him.

Vera Moskvitina from Khabarovsk drew Dmitry Medvedev riding an elephant in Africa. She advises him to go there with his family on vacation after the elections.

All participants in the competition are confident that Dmitry Medvedev will win the election. And for doubting adults, Kostya Pakhomov from the village of Devitsky, Voronezh region, wrote a poem:

The wind plays flags over the sunny country,
The pre-election panic is ringing like a thin string.
But the choice was made correctly!
Why panic?!
We know that Medvedev will be in charge!
