The departure of presenters from Channel 1. Andrey Malakhov revealed the true reasons for leaving Channel One

According to RBC, the reason for taking it off the air was the scandal with orphans. An internal audit of the channel showed that presenters of “While everyone is at home” Timur and Elena Kizyakov took money for the production of so-called video passports orphans who were shown in the section« You will have a child» . No official confirmation yet No.

Valery Tatarov , School of Television "Express TV":

In this situation, one can only sympathize. As a top manager of a pro-state corporation, he has a rather narrow corridor and limited maneuver to achieve ratings. Only broadcasts of a direct line with the president reflect the true problems of life of the majority of television viewers. There is poverty, and the inability to live in human conditions, to find justice for a tyrant boss, to recover from an illness, to protect property, to force officials to remember about people... Acute social problems and the life of ordinary people as topics are practically not raised on federal channels.

Sharp programs that are effective and effective for the authorities could sharply raise the level of trust in federal TV.

And so the viewer has long understood the degree of truthfulness and capabilities of our TV in upholding justice and “chews” what they give. And they give Ukraine, sanctions and Trump... Although, on the other hand, the same channel “” has more opportunities in this sense, but it never became a popular channel and did not surpass Channel One in popularity. This means that it is not just a matter of criticizing the authorities. Dozhd, like radio Ekho Moskvy, is just as bound by its “propaganda” as the official media are bound. Only with someone else. It seems to me that in the current conditions there is a crisis of audience confidence and this is where the problem of the audience arises. Ratings are falling due to the monotony of faces and approaches. Little intrigue and drama. You can predict in advance how any more or less sensitive topic will end and how it will be presented. The same “experts” move from studio to studio, imitating the “breadth” of public opinion... How are they not tired of it?! We can assume what we are not told. That Channel One, like Channel Two, like federal television in general, is catastrophically losing its audience.

I repeat, the news agenda and topics of the main talk shows do not reflect the essence of life in Russia. She's almost not there. In this sense, the Internet is closer to the people. That’s why people are attracted to the Internet, and vulgarity and nonsense like the latest “battle” of a certain rapper Gnily with someone like Oxymoron has sky-high ratings, more than 10 million views. This is a consequence of the ideological vacuum. But this is also a form of protest against the state’s lack of agreement, the complacency of the elite and the overt “clumsy” state propaganda. The state and society do not always have the same information interests. For example, we usually talk about corruption in halftones. While the people have completely different assessments of high-ranking corrupt officials, thieves and their unsinkability. Therefore, a meeting in early May in the presidential administration about the lag between federal television and the Internet is natural. The question is raised correctly. The task was set clearly - it was necessary to catch up with the Internet, or at least keep up with it in terms of topics and the adequacy of life. And the second part of this meeting was devoted to the need for personnel changes in television. The stagnation is obvious. Programs should not live for decades, like “Let Them Talk”, “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” or “Full House” live on... Although, we must pay tribute to Channel One and its leader: the country has no equal in broadcasting large-scale holidays. The Navy holiday in St. Petersburg is proof of this. But with “truth and justice” it’s very poor. There is no support for family, large families, sobriety, Russian folk traditions, folklore... Much of what is truly valuable is missing on TV. There is, perhaps, not a single hot program beloved by the people, like the “600 Seconds” program in St. Petersburg or at least “Vzglyad” on the First in the late 80s.

And so all these movements began with, which are now being obsessively and indecently promoted in all the media. Allegedly, Channel One is intensively looking for new forms of working with the audience. And he changes his policy. But this is nothing more than PR. The most powerful, shameless, cynical. I can assume that, most likely, Malakhov will end up on RTR, Kizyakov somewhere on NTV. As for Kizyakov, this is generally a personal disappointment for me.

The program this guy did was beyond criticism. Qualitative positive - so she was beyond suspicion of self-interest. It was a good program about family values, including the relationship between parents and children. When these money “graters” began and a photo of Timur Kizyakov’s estate near Moscow was published, I, frankly, was stunned by how “curly” this modest singer of simple family values lived. This house is worth at least $10 million... It became clear that this program has serious reputational problems.

As for “our everything.” There would be no need to close the Malakhov project for the far-fetched reason of “going on maternity leave” if the program’s ratings did not fall. There are no other reasons for closing programs. It’s only in St. Petersburg that they can close a rating program just because it raises uncomfortable questions (I’m talking about my program now). They shut me down many times. Smart leaders, such as I was, took me into the shadows from under attack, leaving me on the channel. Stupid people who focus only on... one TV viewer and do not have the entire audience in mind easily close highly rated projects with a high level of trust. So, if Malakhov leaves Channel One, it means that his affairs are really bad. Ratings are falling. Besides, elections are in six months. This is more important than all other circumstances! Therefore, it is necessary to show that the channel is ready for changes, so it makes these changes and makes a personnel shake-up. The main thing is to show that there is movement, we don’t stand still, comrades!

I will talk about this and what is generally happening on modern television in detail on August 19 at my master class at the Express TV television school on Nevsky Prospekt, 80. Starts at 14:00. Come and ask questions!

I took it at the beginning of summer. And the contract with the employer ended on December 31, 2016 - and the TV presenter did not want to renew it. Malakhov informed the producer of the program “Let Them Talk” a month in advance.

“But everyone somehow didn’t believe it,” the TV presenter said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper. - And on the first day of vacation I wrote Konstantin Ernst a letter saying “I’m tired, I’m leaving.”

Malakhov sent an official statement of resignation to the management of the channel by Russian Post, since at that time he was not in Moscow. Alas, some people took this act of Andrei incorrectly.

Andrei Malakhov said that his departure from Channel One had nothing to do with the transition to Rossiya 1. The TV presenter began to consider offers for a new job only after his story on First was already completed.

“I was even offered to host Dom-2.” We decided it would be a good show if it were in the Seychelles. Then there was an offer from a new big project at STS. The reaction of my colleagues was interesting. Vadim Takmenev (chief editor of NTV infotainment programs) called on the second day after submitting the application, we talked about television life, and he could not believe that I was leaving,” says Malakhov. - But when an incredible corset comes across the country, which, let’s be honest, won the last TV season, and you are invited, realizing that you are clearly not a fool on television, then you feel respect and understand that here you are no longer the boy who makes coffee".

On “Russia 1” Malakhov will not only be the host of “Live Broadcast”, but also the producer of the program:

“My wife calls me boss baby. It’s clear that television is a team story, but the producer has the final say.”

Andrey Malakhov named the main reasons for his transition to a new job:

« This is a series of different events in life. I came to Ostankino as a student for an internship and stood for three hours waiting for my pass. I was fascinated by this big world and started by running for coffee during the day and going to the stall for vodka for television legends at night. And although you have become a popular TV presenter, you still work with the same people who treat you like the son of the regiment. This is a situation where your colleagues came much later, but already have their own projects. And you still have the same old status. You are expected to be the “talkie” presenter, but you already have something to talk about with your viewers.

It’s like in family life: at first there was love, then it grew into a habit, and at some point it was a marriage of convenience. My contract with Channel One ended on December 31, 2016 and was not renewed - everyone was so used to me being here. I want to grow, to become a producer, a person who makes decisions, including determining what my program should be about, and not giving up my whole life and looking like a puppy into the eyes of people changing during this time. The TV season ended, I decided that I needed to close this door and try myself in a new capacity in a new place.”

Andrei Malakhov also wrote an open letter to his former colleagues in Starhit. Here are excerpts from it:

"Dear friends!

In our digital era, the epistolary genre is used extremely rarely, but I came to Channel One in the last century, when people still wrote letters to each other, not text messages. So forgive me for such a long message. I dare to hope that you know the true reasons for my unexpected transfer to “Russia 1”, where I will host the new program “Andrei Malakhov. Live broadcast”, working on a Saturday show and other projects.

I remember the day when I crossed the threshold of the Vremya program as an intern and saw big television from the inside for the first time. From that “ice age”, only 91-year-old Kaleria Kislova (former chief director of the “Time” program - StarHit note) remained. Kaleria Venediktovna, colleagues still talk about you with aspiration. People who could “build” ;-) everyone – both presidents and top officials of the state – will no longer be seen on TV. You are an example of the highest professionalism!

From the amazing past, I will also miss Kirill Kleimenov, who stands today at the helm of news broadcasting. We started together on the Good Morning program. Kirill then read the morning news, and today he has a huge responsibility on his shoulders, he practically lives in the Television Center. Kirill, for me you are an example of self-denial in the name of your favorite business, and there is the highest justice in the fact that you got the office with the most beautiful view of the ancient Ostankino Park. I also admire that you can easily communicate even in such a complex language as Finnish. When conjugating verbs in my “easy” French classes, I always think of you.

Head of the First Channel company. World Wide Web,” my classmate and classmate at Moscow State University Lesha Efimov, you remember how you and I flew to open the channel’s broadcasts in Canada and Australia? Sorry we couldn't resume our business trips.

Your deputy and my good friend is news anchor Dmitry Borisov.

Dima, all my hope is in you! The other day I saw fragments of “Let Them Talk” with your participation. I'm sure you will succeed!

Some of the main creators of my style are: Tatiana Mikhalkova and the super team of the image studio “Russian Silhouette”! How many hairstyles Regina Avdimova and her magical masters did, in a matter of minutes. I think this could not have happened without the help of the collection of frogs that Reginochka collects for good luck.

My dear 14th studio! I recently watched with tears in my eyes as it was dismantled. Wonderful design, invented by the chief artist of Channel One, Dmitry Likin. Who can do better, endow the scenery with the same internal energy?! Dima is generally a very versatile person. The interiors of the Moscow Pioneer cinema and the embankment of the Muzeon art park are also his creations. I am also grateful to Dmitry for being one of the first to infect me with a love for contemporary art, and this added an incredible cascade of emotions to my life.

My beloved Catherines! “Sister-Capricorn” Katya Mtsituridze! Sorry for not telling you personally, but as a person working on the channel and heading Roskino, you understand: I need to grow and move forward. Katyusha Andreeva, you have a cool page on Instagram, and special respect for your likes. Katya Strizhenova, how many events, starting with “Good morning”, holidays, concerts, our “sweet couple” has endured ;-) – it’s impossible to count!

The main music producer of the channel, Yuri Aksyuta, you and I also have a rich experience of TV hours spent together. “Eurovision”, “New Year’s Lights”, “Two Stars”, “Golden Gramophone” - that was recently, it was a long time ago... You brought me to the big stage: our duet with Masha Rasputina still does not allow envious people to sleep peacefully.

Lenochka Malysheva, you were the person who first called in excitement, refusing to believe what was happening. But you need to develop, you, as the producer of your own program, understand this better than others. And if at the same time I brought you up to a new broadcast topic called “The first manifestations of male menopause” ;-), that’s also good.

And if we continue to joke, another producer of his own show understands me well - Ivan Urgant. Vanya, thank you for the numerous mentions of my person and raising the ratings of that rather large part of the audience that spins spinners.

Lenochka Queen! In memory of your grandmother Lyudmila Gurchenko, to whom I promised not to abandon you in life, I still took you to work. You yourself know that you were not the most exemplary administrator. But now, having gone through the “Let Them Talk” school, I dare to hope that you won’t let me down anywhere.

And if we are talking about Maxim Galkin... Max, everyone says that I am repeating your television fate (in 2008, Galkin left Channel One for Rossiya, but returned seven years later. - Note from StarHit). I will say more, as a teenager I, a novice fan of Alla Borisovna, also dreamed of repeating your personal destiny... ;-) And one more thing. I didn’t comment on your recent video with the castle in the background, because if money had come first in this story, my transfer, as you guessed, would have happened nine years ago.

Press service of Channel One - Larisa Krymova... Lara, it was with your light hand that I became editor-in-chief of StarHit magazine. It was you who organized my first meeting with the president of the Hearst Shkulev Publishing house, Viktor Shkulev, where this magazine has been successfully published for the tenth year.

Well, in conclusion - about the owner of the main office of Ostankino, on the door of which there is a sign “10-01” attached. Dear Konstantin Lvovich! 45 years is an important milestone in a man’s life, 25 of which I gave to you and Channel One. These years have become part of my DNA and I remember every minute you dedicated to me. Thank you so much for everything you did, for the experience you shared with me, for the amazing journey along the television road of life that we went through together.

The only request is to take care of your assistants, especially Lenochka Zaitseva . She is not only a very dedicated and professional employee, but also can easily lay claim to the role of the chief psychologist of Channel One.

I wrote all this and I understand: a lot has happened in 25 years, and although I am unbearably sad now, I will remember only one thing - how good we were together. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, my beloved! God bless us!

Yours, Andrey Malakhov.”

Why do all the presenters leave Channel One? The reasons for a whole series of dismissals from Channel 1 have become known - Alexander Oleshko, Andrei Malakhov, Yuli Menshov, and other TV presenters who gave many years to television.

Reason one: politics

Television critic Yuri Bogomolov said in one of Dozhd’s programs that layoffs on Channel One may be associated with an increase in politics in television programs. And this was indeed confirmed - the very first episode of “Let Them Talk” with the new TV presenter Dmitry Borisov was marked by a fierce hokhlosrak and the odious expulsion of the Ukrainian political scientist Suvorov from the studio. The new presenter did not miss the opportunity to wash Saakashvili’s bones - in a word, the program went from being typically “yellow” to becoming “yellow propaganda.”

Intensifying the situation and hatred towards Ukraine is beneficial before the elections - it distracts society from internal problems. But not every TV presenter wants to get involved in politics, because sooner or later the government changes. Moreover, there is a danger of falling under sanctions, and simply getting hit in the neck if a revolutionary situation suddenly develops in the country.

Reason two: change of role

There are eternal programs, for example, “Field of Miracles,” where Leonid Yakubovich looks very organic, and over the years only increases the degree of popular love. But talk shows and entertainment programs get boring pretty quickly. Therefore, the transition of a TV presenter from one project to another is normal. Moreover, this increases the rating, because millions immediately rushed to watch the boring program “Let Them Talk” with Borisov and Malakhova on “Russia-1”.

Viewers are always interested to see their idol in a new role. Therefore, their change on the television screen greatly enlivens the boring TV.

Reason three: conflict with management

Not a single TV presenter ever admits that his departure is connected with a conflict with the management of Channel One (or any other). However, in creative work such situations arise all the time. For example, he doesn’t like that he is forced to cover political topics and make a show out of people’s grief. And the leader obliges him to do this.

Any entertainment program or talk show is the fruit of the work of hundreds of people, screenwriters, directors, producers, and so on. However, a TV presenter is not an announcer; he brings part of his image into the program. As soon as he is deprived of the slightest opportunity for creative realization, he looks for another project.

Reason four: salary

Oleshko, for example, immediately announced a good offer on NTV. Of course, fees on federal channels are already quite large, and yet salary plays an important role. Everyone wants to have a villa in Italy, a house in Peredelkino, an apartment in the center of the capital, and a whole fleet of luxury cars, like Solovyov’s.

That's why money in television is very important. As soon as a person is offered a more lucrative contract, he leaves.

Reason five: personal

As in journalism, working on TV is morally difficult. Especially if you shoot every day. And the groups there for the most part are serpentariums. It’s hard to endure this physically and mentally, especially over many years. A person burns out, spends little time on himself and his family, and even with great success, he often falls into depression.

That's why TV presenters leave Channel One for personal reasons. Malakhov eloquently mentioned this factor in his farewell interview.

So, apparently, there are many reasons. But the most likely reasons for massive dismissal from Channel 1 are the first three.

Authors and presenters of popular TV programs continue to leave Channel One. Most of them say that they do not find mutual understanding with management. TV presenters are moving to other federal channels that compete with the first button. “360” talks about the latest and possible changes on the First.

RIA Novosti / Alexander Kryazhev

On Tuesday, August 15, it became known that Timur Kizyakov was added to the list of presenters who left Channel One. Earlier it was reported about the departure of Andrei Malakhov and Alexander Oleshko.

The reasons for Kizyakov’s dismissal have not been officially reported, but it is believed that this is related to the charitable activities of the TV presenter and his wife Elena. In December 2016, a scandal erupted related to the “You’re Having a Baby” column, which was published as part of the “While Everyone is Home” program. It showed video passports of orphans with the aim of finding new parents for them. The media received information that for the production of stories about orphans, Kizyakov immediately took money from Channel One, from the state, and from sponsors. The TV channel conducted its own investigation, which was followed by the dismissal of the presenter.

The TV presenter himself says that he was slandered and that everything was in order with the financial statements of his television company “Dom”, which produced video passports, and cooperation with the federal television channel was broken on his own initiative. The corresponding letter was sent to the channel on May 27.

We do not accept the methods of the management of Channel One that are currently being practiced there

According to him, when attacks on the program began, the channel’s management simply ignored the situation and did not stand up for Kizyakov’s team. He says that a number of companies that have begun to accuse him of embezzling money simply see him as a competitor, “because they see it as a business.”

RIA Novosti / Ekaterina Chesnokova

Vedomosti wrote at the end of last year that Kizyakov’s company for the production of video passports for orphans received 110 million rubles from the Ministry of Education and Science and at the same time from regional authorities.

“When a sponsor is present in a program, the absolute majority of sponsorship advertising goes to the channel. Some small part remains for the development program, and that’s all. And what the sponsor gives as a gift, and here a certificate for 100 thousand rubles was given, goes directly to the children’s institution where the child was shown,” explained Kizyakov.

The program “While Everyone is Home” has been broadcast on Channel One on Sundays since 1992. In it, famous people talked about themselves and their family over breakfast. Now the authors of the TV show are thinking about what to do in this situation.

A week ago, on August 9, it became known that showman Alexander Oleshko was also leaving Channel One. At different times, he hosted a number of entertainment programs, including the humorous parody show “Big Difference”, “One to One”, “Minute of Fame”, “Exactly the Same”.

“Being a free artist, I accepted an offer that I couldn’t refuse! Wherever and whoever you are with, the main task remains to give the viewer joy, peace of mind and good mood,” Oleshko wrote on his Instagram. Now the TV presenter can be seen in the show “You are Super!” Dancing”, which will air on NTV.

RIA Novosti / Vladimir Astapkovich

Rumors about the departure of Showman Andrei Malakhov in social networks back at the end of July. Later the information was confirmed. Competent sources claimed that Malakhov was leaving due to the fact that he could not work well with the new producer of “Let Them Talk” Natalya Nikonova. She returned to the channel not long ago and, according to one version, insisted that the popular talk show have more socio-political topics. Malakhov was categorically against this approach.

The TV presenter, according to some, decided to leave to host the “Live Broadcast” program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel. Along with him, the main part of the team that was involved in the production of “Let Them Talk” left. Malakhov himself wrote in the Vedomosti newspaper that the reason for his dismissal was precisely a conflict with management.

It has already been leaked to the media that Andrei Malakhov met with the team of the new project that he will lead and discussed the creation of the program. It is reported that the first program will be released at the end of August.

The series of dismissals of Channel One presenters may well continue. The website M24.ru previously said that TV presenter Elena Malysheva and Leonid Yakubovich could quit. However, in a conversation with “360” they did not confirm this information.

“Nothing happens on the channel and everything is great. But everyone has their own problems. Some programs are closed, some are changed. Some people are simply unhappy. We're not going anywhere. Until we are closed, we will work,” Leonid Yakubovich’s representative Anatoly denied the information.

Among the potential new hosts of “Let Them Talk” is the outrageous actor Nikita Dzhigurda. He told “360” that this was discussed, but he accuses the TV channel of slandering himself and his family, so he did not agree. Moreover, Dzhigurda connects the dismissal of Andrei Malakhov precisely with the fact that he once in his program accused the actor of forging the will of his rich girlfriend.

RIA Novosti / Maxim Bogodvid

“The transfer of Malakhov is connected with our statements to the police, the court and with the scandal provoked by the “Let Them Talk” program. The management of Channel One, in order to relieve themselves of responsibility and report that measures had been taken, started this game with Malakhov’s departure. My dream is for [Konstantin] Ernst to be fired from his position. I am convinced that few people want to tolerate the immoral methods that Channel One rebroadcast and with which dissenting journalists leave,” says the artist.

In a conversation with 360, other top presenters of Channel One said that they have no complaints against the management yet. “I cannot comment on the situation with the departure of the presenters, because I do not work there. Channel One simply buys my show, and I don’t plan to break off relations with them. I have no complaints about Channel One,” said journalist Vladimir Pozner.

Another old-timer of the channel, TV presenter and traveler Dmitry Krylov, agrees with him, who says that he has no complaints about his management. “And it would not be very correct for me to comment on the situation with the departure of the presenters, since I work on Channel One,” Krylov said.

On the eve of the new television season, Channel One managed to significantly stir up public interest with rumors about the departure of old-time TV presenters and the closure of popular programs. Let's try to figure out what turned out to be true and what was an exaggeration.

They left and didn't promise to return

The fact that Andrei Malakhov left the main federal channel is no longer a secret to anyone. Not long ago, the presenter was officially introduced to the “Live Broadcast” team on “Russia 1”, where he will replace Boris Korchevnikov. It is expected that along with Malakhov, the heroes of his programs, in particular Diana Shurygina and Dana Borisova, went to “Russia 1”. New episodes of the show with a new host will be available at the end of August.
Another defector is Alexander Oleshko. We will no longer see him in “Minute of Fame” and “Exactly the Same”, because the artist “moved” to NTV and will host the show “You are Super. Dancing". The project starts on September 2.

Who was closed and who was left

Timur Kizyakov, who created “While Everyone is Home” and worked on TV for 25 years, left Channel One along with his program. Alas, his departure was surrounded by all sorts of unpleasant rumors. The “Alone with Everyone” program has also closed, but everything is calm here. As its presenter Yulia Menshova admitted, the format has exhausted itself, and she is already preparing for a new project.

The channel’s press service assures that the projects “Let’s Get Married”, “Fashionable Sentence” and “First Studio” will remain on the air. Press secretary of Channel One Larisa Krymova said that rumors about the mass closure of programs are exaggerated.

Who's new?

Of course, the upcoming TV season will not be left without new products. The most anticipated of them is Maxim Galkin’s project “Hypnosis”, which, however, can hardly be called a new product, since it is an analogue of the show “Stars sous hypnose”, which appeared on French television in 2014, and the 2016 Ukrainian show “Stars under Hypnosis”. However, the invited celebrities will have to enter a state of hypnotic trance and answer questions. However, the producers of the show warn: the project is serious and there is no need to expect any “yellow” revelations from the stars.

Following the children who participated in “The Best of All!”, the older people who will take part in the “Olest of All!” program will have to demonstrate their talents.
The project “Kings of Plywood” will also appear on air - a Russian adaptation of the legendary Lip Sync Battle, where various celebrities compete with each other in singing to the soundtrack, and the audience chooses the winner. It is expected that in our version, Alexander Revva will try himself in the role of Lady Gaga, and Nikolai Fomenko - Stas Mikhailov. The show will be hosted by actors Pavel Priluchny and Yana Koshkina.

And yet, the fate of most of Channel One’s projects will be decided on August 25, when a meeting will be held at which possible changes to the broadcast schedule will be discussed.
