Five large LED video screens will be installed on Palace Square for spectators.

In total, over 200 square meters of video projection canvas will be used to create visual art effects in the square and on the stage.

As a gift to connoisseurs of ballet art, the program of the classical evening includes fragments from choreographic masterpieces performed by famous artists. The evening will be given a special, truly St. Petersburg atmosphere by performances by artists from the Theater “Mr. Pejot’s Wandering Dolls.”

The dance part of the show will be graced by the corps de ballet of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theater named after Leonid Yakobson, the flamenco master of the dance company Ursula Lopez and the TODES show ballet.

Since 2010, Schutz has been music director and chief conductor of VBW, an Austrian company presenting the most famous musicals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He worked on such productions as “The Vampire's Ball”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “MAMMA MIA!”, “Elizabeth”, “Mary Poppins”, “Love Never Dies”, “Jesus Christ Superstar” and many others.

The official birthday of St. Petersburg is only tomorrow, but the city is already celebrating its 314th anniversary with might and main. The TNR editors found out what will happen in the coming days and have compiled a full program of events for you. Unfortunately, there will be no fireworks.
