And that’s why, when we decided to find out how to draw a dog with a pencil, the choice fell on a representative of this breed.

But while we were looking for Gray, my child and I saw that the choice of potential models was huge. We could draw a husky with a pencil step by step, or a German shepherd, or even a husky. These are all beautiful, graceful and intelligent dogs. Each of the representatives of their breed has characteristic features that are unique to them, and there are also personal qualities and traits common to all dogs, for which we love them so much and value their friendship. For example, loyalty and the ability to rejoice at the owner, obedience and frankness (they cannot hide their emotions at all).

Already at the initial stages of working on a drawing of a dog, when we just looked at the varieties of these pets, we learned that they differ in temperament, for example, there are choleric, sanguine, melancholic and phlegmatic people, we got carried away. Stage 1. Preparation

Let's learn to draw, starting with auxiliary lines. We make two ovals that just touch each other. Required: the upper oval is almost 2 times smaller in size than the lower one. And it looks more like an uneven circle.

Even for beginners, this stage will not be difficult, and even a child can cope with it. But in the future it would be good if parents helped their child in step-by-step drawing.

Stage 2. Image of the paws and body of the animal

Now we apply shading to each part separately. This must be done so that the fur fits the shape of the dog. Don’t forget that the dog’s tail curls, which means that the strokes will change their inclination. How to draw a husky more realistic? It needs to be given additional volume using muscles. We draw them with an eraser. They will look like white stripes on the body of a husky. It will be enough to go over the neck and front paws with an eraser 2-3 times.

Watercolor outline

How to draw a husky in an original way? If you are not a master of a pencil, you have neither the time nor the desire to master this complex technique, then you can draw a cute silhouette of a husky in watercolors. After all, cartoon characters do not require compliance with all body proportions and do not claim to be completely realistic. How to draw a husky in animation style? Now you need to draw the dog's face in silhouette. And on top, in a sweeping font, we write a phrase, word or sentence along the contour. Leave some space and continue. We perform this action until the outline consists entirely of letters. After that we need to draw the outlines of the muzzle with a pencil. Its right half should be immersed in the shadow, and the left half should remain in the light. We either shade everything that is in the shadow with large lines, or again we write our word in a sweeping manner until the entire half of the muzzle darkens. The final step is drawing the nose and eyes. We depict these details in a darker color. It is better to paint them with regular strokes.

Drawing with watercolors

Now let's try to create a realistic picture. How to draw a husky dog ​​in this style? First of all, we decide on the character’s size and pose. In our case, the husky will sit facing the viewer. Now you need to build the figure. We remember about proportions and are not lazy to check them. Let's say that the head fits into the body 3 times. The body and head are the same width, but the lower part of the body will be wider. You can show the muzzle schematically, outline the eyes and nose, we will do the rest at the next stage. Now let's take out the paints. Our dog will be white, so its main color is the color of the paper. But we will show the shadow with gray and brown paint. We outline the dog along the contour, and also fill in the shadow parts: ears, chest and the space between the front legs. We wait until the paint dries, and then we make a green background. Now you need to finalize the drawing with a gel pen. We draw the fur, eyes, nose and don’t forget about the grass.
