How many Armenian soldiers were killed by the saboteur Mubariz Ibrahimov. Why Mubariz Ibrahimov is a national hero of Azerbaijan

Mubariz Agakerim oglu Ibragimov(Azerbaijani Mbariz Aakrim olu brahimov; February 7, 1988 - June 19, 2010) - ensign of the National Army of Azerbaijan, National Hero of Azerbaijan.

Biography

Mubariz Ibragimov was born on February 7, 1988 in the village of Aliabad, Pushkin district. From 1994 to 2005, he studied at the school named after Malik Piriev in the village of Aliabad. In March 2006, Mubariz was called up for active military service by the military commissariat of the Bilasuvar region.

On November 20, 2007, Ibragimov was discharged from active military service to the reserve as a subgroup commander, but on September 18, 2009, he was again accepted into active military service at his own request and completed warrant officer training courses at the Training and Education Center of the Armed Forces. After graduation he served in Naftalan.

Death

Official Azerbaijani and Armenian versions

The Azerbaijani news agency APA reported that Ibragimov died while repelling attacks by the Armenian armed forces, another - that he died during shelling of Azerbaijani positions by Armenians. According to the Armenian media, during a sabotage and reconnaissance attack on posts of the Armenian armed forces. Mubariz Ibragimov's body remained in the zone under the control of Armenian forces (later the Armenian side handed over Ibragimov's body to Azerbaijan). It was reported that during the clash the Armenian side lost more than 4 and wounded soldiers. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense placed responsibility for the clash on the front line between Armenian armed forces and the Azerbaijani military on the Armenian side, and the Armenian side placed responsibility on the Azerbaijani side.

According to Carnegie Endowment spokesman Thomas de Waal, "Circumstantial evidence suggests that this clash was more likely the result of an Azerbaijani attack (the body was on the Armenian side), but the true picture will probably never be known."

Body

The next day after the incident, the Azerbaijani news agency ANSpress reported about Ibragimov’s funeral; this message was immediately copied by a number of other media outlets. This message was subsequently removed from the ANSpress website. However, the situation surrounding the body of the deceased serviceman has become controversial. On July 7, Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova appealed to the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Jakob Kellenberger, asking for assistance in returning the body of the deceased soldier. The Armenian side stated that it had not received an official request regarding the return of the body. On July 15, the head of the information and propaganda department of the Ministry of Defense of the unrecognized NKR, Senor Hasratyan, in a conversation with an ARMENIA Today correspondent, said that the body of Mubariz Ibragimov was never with the Armenian side, and the corpse of the murdered Azerbaijani lies in the neutral zone. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense questioned this statement, noting that the Armenian side recently justified the reason for the non-return of the body of the deceased by the fact that the Azerbaijani side did not contact them about this. At the same time, the statement of the Armenian side, which was referred to by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, did not mention the presence of the killed soldier in the territory under its control.

On July 17, commenting on Azerbaijani media reports regarding the refusal to hand over Ibragimov’s body, Senor Asatryan made a statement in which, citing Azerbaijani news agencies, he claimed that the soldier was buried by the Azerbaijani side two days after his death. At the same time, adding that “in this context, the Karabakh side can do nothing to help the Azerbaijani side in the issue of handing over an already buried body.” According to the Azerbaijani side, on August 3, 2010, on the social network Odnoklassniki, a user with the fictitious name Tehler Yan posted photographs similar to the murdered Mubariz Ibragimov. In this regard, the Baku office of the International Committee of the Red Cross contacted the central office of the structure. In turn, the Armenian media suggested that the appearance of a photograph of the alleged corpse of a man similar to Ibragimov was an Azerbaijani provocation.

On the Odnoklassniki social network, Armenians, contrary to all ethical norms and universal human values, published photographs of the body of the National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariza Ibragimova. By publishing dirty comments, Armenian users once again demonstrated their true colors, their disrespect for the dead is evidence of fear even of the deceased Azerbaijani hero.

About two months passed, but contrary to all international conventions, the Armenians did not hand over to the Azerbaijani side the body of the Azerbaijani serviceman, who remained in the territory of Karabakh occupied by Armenia. Even the demand of the International Committee of the Red Cross did not help. And now they have distributed these photos, which, due to ethical considerations, we cannot publish in the material...

This fact is an attempt at an informational and psychological attack by Armenians on Azerbaijani society, in which the feat of Mubariz Ibrahimov has become an example for young people, says member of the Security and Defense Committee of the Milli Majlis, deputy Zahid Oruj.

“Social networks have a great influence on the consciousness of people and the Armenians, by publishing these photos, are trying to exert an informational and psychological attack on Azerbaijani society, in which the feat of 22-year-old Mubariz Ibrahimov has become an example for young people. As always, with this fact the Armenians showed their inhumane face and think, that in this way they can somehow take revenge. This is unacceptable and goes against not only international norms, but is also evidence of the violation of all moral norms and moral values," Zahid Oruj told Trend Life.

According to the political scientist Rasima Musabekova, It is necessary to take measures to ensure that such facts do not recur in the future.

“It is necessary to send a letter to the Odnoklassniki administration demanding that they delete these photos, since this fact violates all ethical standards. Moreover, make sure that other scoundrels no longer distribute these photos on social networks and websites,” - Rasim Musabekov told Trend Life.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan considers the distribution by the Armenian side of a photograph of the body of the deceased warrant officer of the national army Mubariz Ibrahimov a violation of international law and calls this fact another demonstration of the duplicity of the Armenians. The deputy head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told Trend about this on Tuesday. Teymur Abdullaev.

“Most likely, international structures will take control of the issue with photographs and intensify investigations,” Abdullaev said.

“It’s as if the Armenians are trying to take revenge on a dead person. This is monstrous and contrary to all human laws. I simply have no words to express how low their behavior is. The whole of Azerbaijan is proud of Mubariz Ibrahimov. This event awakened the youth, his heroic act is discussed in personal blogs and on Internet forums. This guy revived the spirit of patriotism in our country and showed everyone that we cannot be broken so easily,” said a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, deputy Ganira Pashaeva.

He died defending his homeland - he died heroically!

From a letter from Mubariz Ibragimov to his parents:

" Dear Mom and Dad. Every evening I look towards the occupied territories, and my heart breaks at the sight of lands devastated by the enemy. In every house there there used to be a light on, and people’s voices could be heard. And now in that direction there is only dead, ominous silence, which constantly reminds me of how the enemies violated my Motherland.Don't miss me. If I die, don't cry, be proud that I managed to reach this level. My heart breaks in these difficult days for my Motherland. I will go against my enemies to the last. We will meet you again in heaven. Long live the Motherland! Your son, Mubariz "

Mubariz was born in the small village of Aliabat, Bilasuvar region, into a deeply religious family. Since childhood, he was a brave guy, seriously engaged in sports and chose the path of a warrior and martyr. Today his house has become a place of pilgrimage for people, the flow of which never ends. Thousands of people come to express their pride in this brave guy, flocking from all regions of Azerbaijan. In the courtyard of the Ibragimovs’ house there is a table with photographs of a young guy who did not even have time to start a family, but gave his life for the liberation of his homeland from the Armenian occupiers. There is also a notebook, the pages of which are filled with hundreds of confessions to the hero of their country. TO A REAL PERSON!

His parents no longer cry - in their last, farewell letter, their son asked not to shed tears, but to be proud of him. Only the mother, secluded from everyone... She's the mother...

Shamama Ibragimova - mother of the hero:"I am proud that I am the mother of such a son. If he were born again, I would again want him to participate in the battles and destroy even more Armenians. This was his dream. I am sure that he achieved his dream, and therefore his soul rests with the world. My son had tremendous willpower. He always fought to achieve the goal he set for himself. Mubariz sought to end the Armenians once and for all. He was always involved in sports, since the third grade he was involved in boxing and wrestling. Since childhood, he loved action films. Lately he has been constantly saying: “I have to be healthy, I can’t get sick. I will need this to fulfill my dream." It hurts me very much, but despite this, I am proud of my boy. He died like a hero."

Mubariz consciously became a martyr, because for him there was nothing higher than the freedom of the Motherland.

“Mubariz seemed to know that he would leave young; every time there was talk about marriage, he laughed it off, saying, I don’t want to make anyone unhappy,” says Shamama Khanum.

Father of the National Hero Agakerim Ibragimov recalls his last conversation with his son:

“For the last six months, Mubariz asked me for blessings, but I did not understand his thoughts. The last time he asked me for blessings again, I gave blessings to my son. I wished him to achieve his dream. In response, Mubariz asked me to wish him martyrdom. Only “, a few days later, when we heard the news that he had become a martyr, I understood why he asked me for blessings.”

He spends the whole day in the yard, meeting people coming from all over Azerbaijan. Father of a soldier! With sorrow in your eyes and pride on your face!

“A lot of guys come to us, some of them are very young. Each of them says that they would like to become the same as our Mubariz.”

Let us recall that as a result of a shootout provoked by the Armenian armed forces on June 18 near the village of Chayli in the Terter region of Azerbaijan, warrant officer of the national army Mubariz Ibragimov entered into an unequal battle with Armenian servicemen and, at the cost of his own life, destroyed four aggressors and wounded four more... By order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on July 22, Mubariz Agakerim oglu Ibragimov was awarded the title of National Hero. The President ordered to ensure that one of the secondary schools and one of the streets in the Bilasuvar district is named after the National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov. At the initiative of deputy Ganira Pashayeva, filming of a documentary film dedicated to the life of Mubariz has already begun.

The first material from a series of articles about the national hero of Azerbaijan, warrant officer Mubariz Ibrahimov, published as part of the new initiative of the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign, has been published.

Within the framework of this project, carried out by the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign with information support 1news.az, we present to the readers the “Justice Fighter” Live Journal, written by Azerbaijani and Bolivian authors.

The magazine will tell about the last ten days of Mubariz's life, before the Day when he accepted Martyrdom - the Day of the Shahada and committed his heroic deed. In these ten days, the authors tried to reveal the Hero’s path to the Act of Life, talk about his short but glorious life path, the parents who raised the Hero, and the reasons why a person goes to obvious death for the sake of the ideals in which he believes.

DAYSHAHADAPreface

Heroism without limits

They say that in life there is always room for achievement. That every person is capable of an act that can perpetuate his name in the eyes of his contemporaries and future generations. Everyone is capable... but only a few decide to undertake a heroic act or feat, who are then called Heroes.

A hero is a person whose life takes on a completely different meaning after committing an out-of-the-ordinary, non-standard act. The hero is not threatened with oblivion, and death for him becomes only a brink, after passing which the Hero becomes part of the collective memory of his people, and sometimes of all humanity.

One of these Heroes, whose life and feat are a role model and can be the subject of close study by various segments of society, was a 22-year-old guy from Azerbaijan with a symbolic name - Mubariz.

The name Mubariz means "constantly struggling" or "implacable fighter." Quite by chance, the story of Mubariz’s feat, which we will describe below, attracted the attention of my friend, the famous blogger from Bolivia, Julian Lugo, who recently visited Azerbaijan.

Julian is also the national coordinator of the international campaign “Justice for Khojaly”. While collecting information on the Internet about the victims of the genocide committed against peaceful Azerbaijanis, he read short information about the feat of Mubariz and the fact that one of the driving motives of the young guy was the enduring memory - psychological trauma - the stories of refugees who survived the atrocities of the Armenian aggression and today live with an enduring pain about the loss of native lands.

A citizen of Bolivia, a distant country in Latin America, was shocked by the story of Mubariz and invited me, an Azerbaijani participant in the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign, to study more deeply the life of this (as Julian called him in his first e-mail) Justice Fighter and convey the truth about the ongoing gigantic injustice against my people through the refraction in the fate of the Hero.

Our motivation was, in addition to paying tribute to the memory of Mubariz, the fact that international institutions and the media, indifferent to the fate of the victims of the Karabakh conflict, were alarmed as a result of this act of revenge. Many foreign blogs, at the instigation of Armenian lobbyists, have already rushed to present Mubariz’s action as another manifestation of “Azerbaijani aggressiveness.” Therefore, the story about Mubariz is also an attempt to tell the world the truth about the Karabakh war, which has been going on for the second decade and is claiming the lives of heroes like Mubariz. The international team of the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign supported our idea and publishes this research on the campaign page on Facebook, translated in 3 working languages of the UN... an organization that has adopted more than one document, but has never done anything to prevent blood from continuing to flow on Karabakh soil... .

However, let's not get ahead of ourselves and start in order, first about our Hero.

FROM THE HERO’S BIOGRAPHY…..

Mubariz Agakerim oglu Ibragimov was born on February 7, 1988 in the village of Aliabad, Bilasuvar region of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 1994 to 2005 he studied at the school named after Malik Piriev in his native village of Aliabad. From 2006 to 2007 - served in the National Army. In September 2009, he entered the warrant officer course, after which he served in Naftalan and in the front-line zone. On the front line because for about 20 years Azerbaijan has been in an interethnic conflict with the neighboring country Armenia, which has occupied about 20% of Azerbaijani territories.

In the very month when Mubariz was born, the fire of Armenian separatism began to flare up in the neighboring region of Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, called the Karabakh War, that flared up during the collapse of the USSR in the early 90s of the last century, about 25 thousand Azerbaijanis died and over a million were expelled from their native lands. Then several hundred thousand Azerbaijanis were expelled from Armenia en masse, and similar ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani population was carried out by Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh and seven occupied regions. The expulsion was accompanied by massacres of Azerbaijanis. Today, virtually every eighth citizen of Azerbaijan is a refugee from Armenia or a forced migrant from Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenian troops.

All these years, between Azerbaijan, on the one hand, and Armenia, and Karabakh, occupied by Armenians, on the other side, there is a front line, where shots are heard every day and information is received about the death or injury of soldiers. Despite the obvious injustice of the current situation, the leading world powers: the United States, Russia and Europe are doing everything to keep Azerbaijan from resuming military action in order to return the lands occupied by Armenia. The world community pays little attention to the fact that for almost 20 years over a million Azerbaijanis have left their native lands, lost loved ones, relatives and are eager to fight to punish the aggressor Armenia.

In such a difficult situation, the current young generation of Azerbaijanis grew up, including our Hero, who chose the profession of a warrior and remained to serve on the Armenian-Azerbaijani front line. On the night of June 18-19, 2010, Mubariz committed his heroic act, which caused increased attention not only in Azerbaijan, but also in neighboring and also countries far from our country.

That night, the Azerbaijani warrior Mubariz took the battle in response to another armed attack by the enemy. Reflecting the attacks of the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the village of Chayli in the Terter region of Azerbaijan, Mubariz Ibrahimov crossed the front line and alone inflicted damage on the enemy forces, which is probably difficult to find in the history of the Karabakh war. Mubariz Ibragimov killed about 50 Armenian soldiers during the ensuing skirmish.

According to unofficial sources and testimony from fellow soldiers, Mubariz blew up a military transport truck, inside of which there was a unit of the Armenian army, and in an unequal battle killed more than forty Armenian soldiers. Breaking through the Armenian positions, Mubariz left 4 more Armenian soldiers killed and 4 wounded. But then he was overtaken by an enemy sniper bullet, but the seriously wounded Mubariz continued the battle and held off the enemy. With weapons in hand, our Hero fought to the last and did not let the enemy come to him. Even after Mubarzi died from his wounds, the Armenian soldiers were still afraid for a long time to approach the body of the Hero, who, as it later turned out, became a real ghost for the Armenians even after his heroic death. But we'll talk about this later.

Let us note that Mubariz’s feat plunged the Armenian side into despondency and confusion. Because of this shameful incident for the Armenian army, as a result of the investigation, two Armenian generals and a number of officers were dismissed. The Armenian side behaved unworthily: having hidden the body of Mubariz Ibragimov, they refused to hand it over to the Azerbaijani side. With this inhumane method, the Armenian side is trying to “fight” the corpse of our Hero. Armenian officials initially reported that Mubariz's body was on the Armenian side. However, then, on July 15, 2010, information was disseminated that the body of Mubariz Ibragimov was never on the Armenian side, and the corpse of the killed Azerbaijani lay in the neutral zone of the front line. Until now, the Hero’s body has not been handed over to the Azerbaijani side; his parents cannot bury the body of their son. But this only increased the fame of Mubariz's heroic deed. The media from around the world began to talk about him, the house of his parents became a real place of pilgrimage, where people from all over the country flock to express gratitude and support the Hero’s parents.

By decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, warrant officer Mubariz Ibrahimov was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan. The Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on perpetuating the memory of M.A. Ibragimov also states:

“In order to perpetuate the memory of the National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Agakerim oglu Ibrahimov, I make the decision:

1. To grant the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan to name one of the secondary schools in the Bilasuvar region after Mubariz Ibrahimov.

2. Provide the executive power of the Bilasuvar district to name one of the streets in the Bilasuvar district after Mubariz Ibragimov.

Ilham Aliyev

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The heroic act of Mubariz Ibragimov has already become the subject of study for military experts and specialists from various fields. But I think it is of particular interest to try to study and convey to the general public the motives, inner experiences and inner world of our Hero. Undoubtedly, readers all over the world will be interested in getting to know our 22-year-old Hero, who immortalized his name with a heroic act that has no analogues in the world.

Driven by the same goal, we decided to conduct this study. As a result, we present to the readers the live journal “Fighter for Justice” (“Justice Fighter” Live Journal). The magazine will tell the story of what Mubariz's last 10 days were like before the Day of Martyrdom - the Day of the Shahada. In these ten days, we tried to reveal the Hero’s path to the Act of Life, talk about his short but glorious life path, the parents who raised the Hero, and the reasons why a person goes to obvious death for the sake of the ideals in which he believes.

“National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Ibrahimov killed 45 Armenian soldiers.

Because of this incident, two generals were dismissed from the Armenian army." This was stated by the former Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Palmali Group of Companies Ibrahim Nabioglu, Turkish media reported.

The head of the Palmali group of companies, a major Azerbaijani businessman and shipowner Mubariz Mansimov, according to the newspaper Hürriyet, said that the name of the National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Ibrahimov will be assigned to the new ship of the Palmali company, which will be launched in early October from the slipways of the Besiktas shipyard "in the Turkish port of Yalova.
Mubariz Mansimov noted that he is ready to provide all possible assistance to the family of the Azerbaijani martyr and will always be with them.

In his opinion, “the publication by Armenians on Russian social networks (odnoklassniki.ru) of photographs of the dead body of the deceased Azerbaijani soldier, National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Ibrahimov cannot be regarded other than vandalism and mockery of the memory of the hero. These photographs once again testify to the barbaric nature of the Armenians."
“I demand that the Armenians immediately return the body of the martyr to us. If it occurs to them to demand money for it, then I am ready to pay. This is vile, but you can expect anything from the Armenians. The whole world knows that Mubariz’s body is in their possession. Armenian fascists mock him, but Allah will punish them for this.
On the other hand, this conflict will not be resolved peacefully. The patience of the Azerbaijani people is not unlimited. If necessary, as a former soldier, I will take my uniform and go to war,” SalamNews quotes the chairman of the Palmali group of companies as saying.

“Despite the demands of Azerbaijan and the International Committee of the Red Cross, Armenia refuses to return the body of our deceased brother. These photos were uploaded to the Internet by the Armenian army. Azerbaijan and the Turkic world condemns this atrocity. Armenians are afraid and tie the hands of even dead Azerbaijani soldiers. War can happen anywhere in the world, but there is no such atrocity anywhere. The hero of Azerbaijan who fell for the fatherland deserves to be buried in his homeland. The whole of Azerbaijan and his family are waiting for the return of the martyr’s body. The pious Azerbaijani people are known for their friendliness, good neighborliness and hospitality. But if necessary, he knows how to fight the enemy. If the Azerbaijani people rise up, the Armenians will suffer thousands of such losses. It is customary to return the bodies of fallen soldiers during war, but Armenians are fascists and terrorists. Otherwise, they would have returned the body of the dead soldier to us long ago. This reveals their true face and proves the terrorist nature of the Armenians. They once again showed deep hatred towards Azerbaijan and the Turkic world,” Mansimov said.

Let us recall that warrant officer of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Mubariz Ibrahimov died on June 18 during an armed incident on the line of contact between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops. According to official data, five Armenian soldiers were killed and several wounded during the incident.

By decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mubariz Ibragimov was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero.
