On the night of Sunday to Monday, the 20th Teen Choice Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles. The award is awarded annually by Fox, but the winners are chosen by young fans through online voting, so based on the results, one can accurately judge who is the idol of American youth today. We've already covered the red carpet, it's time to find out the names of this year's laureates.

The absolute favorite this year is the Marvel films. The film "Avengers: Infinity War" collected all the major film awards, and "Black Panther" was recognized as the best science fiction film. Among the television shows, there was no equal to the teen drama "" (Riverdale) - the show won in nine categories! The success that the series achieved was noted by the performer of the role of Archie Davis, KJ Apa.

We started filming two years ago, and I think we're all pleasantly surprised by how the series has developed and how it has resonated with viewers.

The evening's winners were also: Best Comedy Actress for her role in Pitch Perfect 3, and Best Drama Actor for The Greatest Showman. In his acceptance speech, the actor also noted his colleague on the set, whom he beat out in the nomination.

He received a surf for his role in the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, becoming the best among the actors who played in film premieres this summer.

It’s interesting that the nominations include not only screen stars—teenagers choose their idols from athletes, models, Internet stars, and even celebrate their own fan achievements. For example, there is a separate nomination for the best fan community (fandom).

But what was expected with Meghan Markle for the title of style icon ended in nothing. The victory, like last year, went to singer and actor Harry Styles.

Compared to last year, when Rita Ora took the stage between the announcements of the winners, this year's entertainment lineup was less stellar. Lauv, who was also nominated in the Breakthrough Music category, Khalid, who won in this category, and the singer of the hit All About That Bass, Meghan Trainor, sang for the audience.
