Church of All Saints in the village of All Saints. Church of All Saints Church of All Saints: brief description

The consecration of the foundation stone of the temple-monument in honor of All Saints in Minsk took place on June 4, 1991. It was performed by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Alexy II during his first Patriarchal visit to the Republic of Belarus.

In 1996, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko and Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Philaret, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, members of the Government, the leadership of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the public, a capsule with a commemorative letter was laid into the foundation of the memorial church.

On September 26, 2006, with the participation of the Head of State, three large bells were consecrated and raised to the belfry of the temple-monument on behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko, His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Alexy II and Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Philaret. It is planned to place an additional 10 small bells on the belfry. In November 2006, the main dome was installed on the monument temple.

In 2006, construction of a wooden Trinity Church was completed on the territory of the memorial church.

Significant assistance in the construction of the memorial church in honor of All Saints is provided by the state. In 2008, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic approved the composition of the working group to develop the concept of creating a memorial in the temple complex “Church-monument in honor of All Saints and in memory of those killed in our Fatherland” in Minsk.

The memorial church in honor of All Saints has the shape of a tent topped with a cross. The tent symbolizes the Mother of God and Christ as the head of the Church. The tent is based on the number nine, formed by eight wide edges with a geometric center - its apex. In the crypt (lower altar part of the temple) soil will be collected from the fields of all the great historical battles in defense of the Belarusian land. To the left and right of the tent there are two side chapels - they remind of compatriots who died during the wars. The five domes of the temple-monument are erected in honor of All Saints of Belarus, in memory of all the soldiers who fell for the fatherland, all those innocently tortured in prisons and camps, and all the murdered children. It is planned to light an unquenchable lamp in the crypt, rebury the remains of prominent historical figures, install memorial plaques around the entire perimeter, and weave plates with the names of the dead into the ornament.

In the memorial church, memorial services will be held every day for innocently murdered fellow citizens, sounding as a call for reconciliation in the fatherland and throughout the face of the earth. Also in the temple there will be an archive containing information about Belarusians - victims of wars and repressions.

The rector of the parish is Archpriest Theodore Povny.

On a gentle slope to the Sviyaga River - one of the three rivers of the city, among the greenery of trees, stands a small wooden church, consecrated in the name of All Saints (the patronal feast day on the First Sunday after Pentecost).

This is one of the newly built Orthodox churches in Ulyanovsk. Its construction began on the Nativity of John the Baptist - July 7, 1995, and its consecration took place on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary - April 7, 1996. In exactly nine months this House of God was erected, becoming one of the most visited churches in Ulyanovsk. All Saints Church is the first in the complex of the Ascension Cathedral. The construction site of the cathedral itself is located next to it - fifty meters away.

The temple was erected exclusively with donations from residents of the city and region, and with charitable contributions from many enterprises and organizations. An interesting fact is that for the construction of this first church in the post-revolutionary years in Ulyanovsk, Lenin’s homeland, which suffered like no other city in Russia during the era of Russian godlessness, there were also donations from abroad. In particular, assistance was provided from the Vatican. Perhaps this is the first time in the history of Orthodoxy after the division of the Churches that the Catholic Church participated in the construction of an Orthodox church. Of course, such assistance was not, and could not be, subject to any obligations.

The architectural design of the temple found its roots in northern Russian temple architecture. The church is cruciform in plan, with a high cross-domed roof topped with a dome with an eight-pointed cross. This architecture is interesting in comparison with the classical basilica churches traditional in the Middle Volga region. The authors of the project are spouses Liya and Alexander Varyukhin. For her participation in the development of restoration projects for numerous churches in the Volga region, as well as for projects for newly built churches and chapels, Liya Varyukhina was awarded the Order of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, and Alexander was awarded the medal of St. blgv. book Daniil of Moscow.

The Cossacks of the Simbirsk Cossack District took an active part in the construction of the temple. After the consecration, the All Saints Church became the spiritual center of the local Cossacks.

There are many churches on our planet. Their appearance directly depends on the religion of the people, their cultural and historical traditions. The Church of All Saints in Minsk is just such a building. It is closely connected with the traditions of Orthodox architecture. The classic dome, bells and general spirit of the building evoke thoughts of the eternal. The interior decoration of the temple amazes with its calm, confident grandeur and simple beauty, which distinguishes all Orthodox churches.

Church of All Saints: brief description

The Church-Monument of All Saints is located in the city of Minsk. Its appearance is quite simple, but at the same time bright and striking. The Church of All Saints (Minsk), photos of which show white walls with golden splashes and domes, has a tent-like shape with a cross at the very top. It is traditional for Orthodox churches.

Its shape symbolizes the Mother of God and Christ. The tent is based on the number nine. It is formed using eight wide-shaped faces with a geometric center - the apex. In the lower part of the temple, near the altar, earth was collected from the sites of battles for the Republic of Belarus. Therefore, the Church of All Saints in Minsk (almost every citizen will tell you its address, it is Kalinovsky Street, 121) can be considered one of the memorable places of the Great Patriotic War. In addition, in memory of the people who died during the wars, two side chapels were built on both sides of the tent. Five domes were built in honor of all the fallen soldiers. On the territory of the temple there is one throne and two chapels - icons of the Mother of God and the Church of All Saints in Minsk, the photo of which displays ideal proportions and the highest level of architectural thought, attracts pilgrims from all countries of the Orthodox world.

Temple shrines

The temple has its own shrines. These include: particles of the relics of the Diveyevo eldresses, St. Nicholas, St. John, the Wonderworker, a list of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God and a reliquary cross, which contains particles of the relics of 44 saints.

On the territory of the temple you can find a list of names of all the heroes who gave their lives for their Motherland, as well as an unquenchable lamp.

Story

And even though the Church of All Saints in Minsk is quite young, it already has a history of its own. It dates back to 1990 - then the decision was made to build this church. The consecration of the first foundation stone of the Temple took place in 1991. It was produced by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Alexy II. Then he visited the Republic of Belarus for the first time. In 1996, the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko, as well as Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Filaret, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, members of the Government, the leadership of the Minsk City Executive Committee and representatives of the public laid a unique capsule with a letter in the foundation of the church near the cemetery.

The fallen soldiers of the battles for the Belarusian land were buried in that place, so it can be assumed that the location of the new shrine was not chosen by chance. It symbolizes the unity of church and secular life in the state. In 2005, the project for building the temple was approved, and in 2006 its construction began with the participation of famous builders and architects. In the autumn of the same year, three large bells and the main dome were raised and installed. Also on the territory of the church, the Trinity Church was built.

Development of the memorial

Most of the funds for the construction of the Church-Monument of All Saints were allocated by the state, and everyone knows where the Church of All Saints is located in Minsk. In 2008, a group was identified and approved to develop the creation of a memorial in the temple complex. The Church of All Saints in Minsk is an important shrine for Orthodox people. The number of pilgrims increases every year, and this is a good sign.

Believers from all CIS countries come here to honor the memory of relatives and friends who died during hostilities. The opening of the memorial contributed to a significant increase in the flow of pilgrims wishing to kneel at the shrine. In the temple, memorial services are held daily for the soldiers who died defending the honor and freedom of the Belarusian people, for those innocents who were affected by the horrors of war. The prayers contain calls for peace and an end to hostilities.

This church was built long and hard, with money from the townspeople. From afar you can see the golden domes of this church, but up close it is incredibly beautiful and majestic.

All Saints Church - full name - Temple-monument in honor of All Saints and in memory of those innocently killed in our Fatherland - the temple of the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

All Saints Church was built in the form of a tent, topped with five golden domes with crosses. The tent is based on the number nine, formed by eight wide edges with a geometric center - its apex. The height of the temple is 72 meters, including the cross - 74. At the same time during worship, the temple can accommodate 1,200 worshipers.

The church amazes with its splendor and richness of decoration. The temple is decorated with unique and inimitable iconostases. These are the works of Palekh masters. All wooden panels, church utensils and decorations are made by hand and are works of modern art.

The Church of All Saints in Minsk became a temple-monument to 10 million Belarusians who died in wars, revolutions and forced relocations. Located in Minsk, at the intersection of Kalinovsky and Vsesvyatskaya streets.

Near the temple there is another small wooden church, consecrated in 2006 in honor of the Holy Trinity.

Church in honor of All Saints in the mountains. Kirzhach

Kirzhach, in a very short time, grew so much that those who lived in Vspolye in the 40s found themselves almost in the city center in the 60s. There was a need for a new warm church and a need for a second priest.
In 1864 - 1869, Alexander Alexandrovich and Pyotr Alexandrovich erected a majestic temple in honor of All Saints with a high five-tiered bell tower near the grave of their pious parents. They donated expensive church utensils to the temple, and a large bell weighing 549 pounds (8736 kg) to the bell tower. The construction of this temple with a bell tower gave special grandeur to the entire group of temples located within the fence of the once former monastery; and in 1867, when a large bell was raised, a thick and harmonious bell calling for prayer solemnly resounded over the churches of the former monastery and far over the surrounding area. The citizens of Kirzhach fully appreciated the renovators of their city, and “for the everlasting memory of their descendants, they placed an icon of St. Peter the Metropolitan and the blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, expressing the desire that this icon should always be during divine services in the temple of God, so that, when looking at it, one could more vividly remember the great donations and be disposed to pray for those who bear fruit and do good for this holy temple.”
In 1869, the new church was consecrated by His Eminence the Archpastor, and in September of the same year a second priest was appointed to the Annunciation parish. But the youngest of the Solovyov brothers did not limit himself to this sacrifice: every year, new and new sacrifices flowed from him for the cause of God. The new temple was painted by him in the best possible way; The iconostasis is covered with continuous, finest gilding.

Church in honor and glory of all Saints It has the shape of a regular square with a semicircular, protruding altar, with a high dome and two domes - above the church and above the altar, on which are mounted crosses bound in copper, gilded through fire. A high six-tier bell tower is located next to this church on the western side. In terms of the strength and beauty of its structure, the bell tower is a remarkable example. Its top is completed with a large dome, on which the cross, like on the church, is also gilded through fire; the largest bell, on the bell tower, cast at the expense of Peter A. Solovyov and the builders of the All Saints Church, in memory of their parents, relatives and themselves, weighing 549 pounds. The second bell, polyley, weighs 182 pounds. There are nine bells in the bell tower, including the big one and the lily bells; between the bells there is one with the following inscription poured on it: “On the summer of 7207, this bell in the Trinity Annunciation Kirzhatsk monastery was given to the deposit by the okolnichy Alexey Ivanovich Rzhevskoy, after his grandfather, the boyar Ivan Andreevich Miloslavsky, and after his other parents, who were buried with him in this monastery under the Church of the All-Merciful Savior, - it weighs 46 pounds.”
The All Saints Church, with its architecture, especially its internal decoration, as well as its expensive utensils and sacristy, can become one of the most magnificent churches of God. The iconostasis in it is all gilded; and the icons in the iconostasis, the painting of the dome and walls of the temple were painted by the famous Moscow artist Nikolai Gerasimovich Stepanov.
See (1872).
The All Saints Church was very splendidly decorated by the builders of the temple; it has a separate sacristy, utensils and a circle of liturgical books. In general, all the cathedral decorations, utensils and sacristy should be considered very rich.
All temples are surrounded by a solid stone fence with towers on 3 corners; The holy gate is surrounded by a fence, has a high top, is decorated with picturesque images, and has an inscription about the time the monastery was founded.

All Saints Church and the adjacent five-tiered bell tower were not included in the museum complex. Until 1928, they were rented by an Orthodox parish. Unlike the Renovationists, the parishioners of the All Saints Church adhered to canonical Orthodox principles and supported first Patriarch Tikhon, and then his Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Sergius (Stragorodsky). At the beginning of 1930, the temple was closed, and the clergy and the most active parishioners were convicted of anti-Soviet activities. A public canteen was opened in the empty building, which local authorities initially wanted to sell “for rubble.” Later, the All Saints Church - together with the bell tower and the gate church that had lost its bells - was converted into a bakery for the City Consumer Cooperation (GorPO). Converted into a bakery, it existed until the 90s of the 20th century.
